Chisel Barn is in the Northerly part of the Dorset National Landscape sitting under Hambledon and Hod Hill, looking down onto the River Stour. There are three properties - Fox Ditch sleeps four, Whites Ground sleeps six and Top Cottage sleeps two. They are in a beautiful area with good walking and unspoilt countryside. Dogs very welcome.
One of the best places we have ever stayed. We were bowled over. Everything had been thought of and provided. So much care and thought has gone into this beautiful conversion. Lucinda was helpful from the first and accomodated us very last minute without hesitation. We were left tasty basic supplies, the whole feel of the place is generous and homely. Long views were perfect for my elderly mother who has reduced mobility. The main shared space is light and spacious but feels cosy and is very comfortable. All mod cons, well equiped...everything you could think of...including a kitchen radio whi...more
LOVELY LOCATION COTTAGE WAS NOT DECORATED AND WE ARRIVED ON BOXING DAY...SO VERY DISSAPPOINTED NEEDS CURTAINS IN LOUNGE AS OVERLOOKED...LOUNGE SOFA NOT VERY COSY BUT EVERYTHING ELSE WAS GOOD
We had a lovely stay at Fox Ditch in the Dorset countryside. Location was great for a nice walk in the surrounding area and not too far to the nearby village. Fox ditch had everything we could have wanted including a real fire which was lovely in January. Communication was great and we may well come back to explore the area further.
