Amazing property ! Had a fabulous weekend staying here something for everyone ! Really central . Location on a very busy Road but didn't impose too much. A couple of routes to West Bay walkable 45-50 mins .

We had wonderful stay at Allington Court! The house has been well thought out and is very well equipped. It was great to have a bathroom assigned to every bedroom. It made a change for our group to stay in a Town but it worked well, especially as West Bay was only a 40 minute walk away.
We hope to return at some point.

Great location for a large group, the house has something for everyone. Being convenient for the town was good for us but not if you want a rural setting. The kitchen facilities are perfect for feeding a hungry brood (we had 15 with 7 children) and the games room was very popular with the older ones. Cinema room is a lovely addition and all the bedrooms were comfortable. Heating kept the house warm with a useful utility washing room. The excellent housekeeping team were on hand to deal with any issues promptly and efficiently.
Although it is expensive for a Christmas break it gave us a memorable time and we would recommend this venue.

We stayed here Monday to Friday at the beginning of December 2023. The house is incredible, set at the edge of bridport town just off the main road and is an easy walk into town where you’ll find plenty of local shops and good sized supermarkets.
Kitchen- well equipped with 3 ovens, 2 large fridge freezers, plus 2 under-counter fridges. There is plenty of worktop space and is well laid out with plenty of cutlery, crockery, kettles, teapots, cafetiers, and utensils.
Rubbish disposal - there are large
Recycling bins onsite and easy to access
Dining Room- very comfortably sat 24 of us for dinner. Wonderful lighting and 2 sideboards which allowed us to store wine, drinks and desserts on.
Living rooms - this is a large 2 part room
With beautiful remote controlled fire place. Plenty of seating and lots of natural light
Bedrooms - all bedrooms have en suites (except one which has a bathroom opposite) the beds are very
Comfortable with excellent quality sheets. All bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean and accommodating.
(There is a communal WC on the ground floor also.)
There are 2 ground floor bedrooms, one with a wet-room style bathroom for easier access which was required for our party.
Games Rooms - this room is well equipped with a pool table and table tennis and a separate WC.
Cinema room - very well laid out room
With a huge smart TV, low lighting in this room gives an excellent atmosphere.
The house manager (Haylee) was excellent, professional, incredibly helpful and accessible when we had questions or needed anything and we had an excellent stay here with our families, we would highly recommend it and are grateful to the staff who maintain it so beautifully.

Our stay was to be a very special occasion.
It was my wife's 66th birthday and quite possibly her last opportunity to gather the immediate family of seventeen around her, as she is suffering advanced pancreatic cancer.
After speaking directly to the Symondsbury Estate booking staff, the whole pivotal event, could not have been any more enjoyable.
Each bedroom is a delight, as are the kitchen, lounges and the dinning room.
We celebrated an early family Christmas Dinner, with everyone around the one table, with ample space for our special occasion professional chef to serve.
We shared two wonderful nights with the family and one night alone with my wife Sarah.
The house was perfect and your support staff excellent!
Everyone loved the whole weekend and left buzzing.

We were impressed from the moment we opened the door. Everything was spacious and spotless, the kitchen was the best equipped we had ever had in over twenty years of family holidays. Beds were so comfortable and bathrooms spacious with continuous hot water. The position was a great starting place for our days out and then we could come home to eat all together in the dining room and then enjoy the evening chatting or in the cinema room.

This is 4th and 5th week a group of friend have stayed at Allington Court and that in itself says how much we like the house, its position and general environment. As to be expected in such a large house and towards the end of summer there were a few problems BUT the important issue is that they were all resolved quickly - one took a day and the other just a few hours.
After our stay in February I gave some feedback and on arrival in September all had been actioned. You can’t ask for more.
We have stayed here before in either January or February but this time had the chance to experience sitting outside and enjoying the quietness of the garden.

The house is outstanding with fantastic accommodation and facilities. Everything was provided that made for a very comfortable stay in a wonderful area of Dorset. It was great to be so close to the middle of Bridport, from visiting local pubs, walks from the house and acquiring food whatever the hour. The house could be noisy as being right in the middle of Bridport and it didn’t help with the pub over the road playing music until 2:30am on the Saturday! Not sure if that is always the case or just because it was Carnival Week. It is a hot house and so some fans for the bedrooms would have been useful (especially as couldn’t really open windows due to noise). But all this shouldn’t put anyone off staying in this wondrous house and I would certainly recommend it to anyone.

We loved Allimgton Court and are seriously thinking of booking it again for next year. The 2 downstairs bedrooms with disabled facilities were what drew us to the house in the first place. My husband is disabled so this was ideal. My only comment was that there were no grab rails in the wetroom downstairs and my husband had to hang onto the chrome upright shower unit itselsf while I washed him down. We used one of the garden chairs for him to sit on but he needed to stand for me to wash his more private parts, The ideal would be a horizontal grab rail either side of the shower unit about 9" long.
We were a family of 19 ranging in age from 7 to 92 and were thrilled with the house. its beautiful decor and highest quality accessories , the dining room where we could all eat at one long table. We also enjoyed the cleverly designed garden. In summary this was an outstanding holiday home.

Had a brilliant time at Allington Court. The house is amazing. It has everything needed to make life easy and comfortable. The welcome board was lovely and much appreciated. All rooms are big with their own en-suite (except one but that has the bathroom across the corridor so no big problem). Ideally located for trips to the Dorset seasides and countryside. Would definitely stay again.
