We only left yesterday morning but are missing out Welsh holiday home already! We all agreed it was an amazing and relaxing holiday. The accommodation has everything you needed and if needed help with anything this was quick and easy. The amenities on site were just fantastic - the games room, crazy golf, pool and own hottub. The views were amazing where ever you looked and we loved being on the Mach Loop and seeing the planes and helicopters fly over!! We had a lovely stay at Captain's rest. The apartment was great and just what we were looking for. Brilliant central location, lovely decor and everything we needed to feel at home. There is a well equipped kitchen and two comfortable bedrooms, a lovely lounge area and TV with Netflix. It's worth getting the weekly parking permit for the Torbay carparks. We would definitely like to visit again. Katie was a brilliant host and really helpful with information before booking and during our stay. Thankyou.
The house was lovely, lots of room ,well equipped. Fantastic garden. Great location near to the attractions around the area .
She went over and above by taking our calls in the evening and extending our accommodation and at times at the last minute finding us alternative accommodation as we didn’t know one day from the next how long our dad was gong to be in hospital.. her support in such a difficult time was truly appreciative and I would recommend this company to any further potential customers. We had a lovely weekend in the cottage in September, it was our first time away with our new baby and we felt at home straight away. The cottage was absolutely beautiful, the interior was beautifully furnished, lovely and clean, and had everything you could need. The bed was so comfy as well! We had such a warm welcome from the owners and the welcome package was a lovely touch. We will definitely be retuning!
We visit this cottage 3 times a year, to spend time with our grandchildren who live in the village,. it is a lovely cosy cottage at the end of a mews. Highly recommend, near to local amenities and lots of places to visit nearby for all ages.Loved the addition of the Alexa!!
The properties & site are all so well maintained. Our 3rd stay at Laura Lee & each stay gets better! Now we know the area we have so much choice….& still finding new places to visit. If it’s peace & quiet you’re after then the properties offer just that, with just the bird song to listen to or an inquisitive robin!
The cottage is very well furnished, equipped and maintained. Everything you need in the kitchen. A lovely location to explore the surrounding areas and great walks down to the Quay. For me the only downside was the lack of privacy in the garden.
We've just enjoyed a lovely stay at Castaway. One of the most enviable positions on the site with a wonderful spacious patio and view. Chalet is comfortable and light with good facilities. Smart TV and WiFi included. The heating was very welcome for the time of year. Would definitely stay again.
Booked this bungalow for myself and my Dad and my 2 small dogs so we could visit family in Brixham, we were blessed with exceptional weather and found the property was immaculate beautifully presented and very well equipped and very home from home we really had the most relaxing stay and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful location but still accessible to all areas of Torbay We did have a problem with the TV signal and having contacted the owners it was easily resolved by switching on the booster switch which had been turned off it was so simple but the owners ki...more
Great house to stay in whilst visiting the area. Very well equipped with everything you can think of and more. Would love to come back in the summer and make use of the garden and outside space.
The property was clean and well kept. It was equipped with everything we needed. Quiet location. Only slight negative was the lack of "Dart View" due to overgrown hedges. Have been to stay at Lucy Lou several times since COVID, and we are always assured of a warm welcome from Ingrid, a clean and well-stocked place to stay and the opportunity to make many happy memories as a family. It has become a home away from home for us and as soon as we leave, we're looking to see when we can arrange to come back again! What a pleasure to stay at Hillview. The owners have gone way out to provide everything guests could want. It’s the little things provided which make this place extraordinary. Plus the location is fabulous, with beautiful walks on your doorstep, a great vlillage pub and well stocked store and butchers within walking distance. A delightful Devon village. Birdsong in the mornings. Great for dog walkers. Loved sitting on the patio and small enclosed garden sipping coffee in the mornings.

Can’t recommend this lodge as it has everything you need for a cozy and peaceful getaway- the log burner was a real highlight for me. The location ensures a slower pace of life but still with plenty to get stuck into. I’d recommend the Torrent Walk or Cadair Idris peaks followed by some time in the hot tub.
A most enjoyable stay to celebrate my birthday.. On arrival the chalet was easy to find with plenty of nearby parking. The inside of the accommodation was immaculate and the room layout ideal. We encountered no major problems other than working out how the induction hob worked but this was due to our unfamiliarity with the system. However, perhaps specific instructions regarding its use could be a useful addition to the otherwise comprehensive notes provided about the chalet. Second time in spindrift, first over new year period. Bungalow is beautifully clean, tidy and well presented. Warm and cosy. The manor was as welcoming and friendly as always with great food. Lovely week away very peaceful and great location to start the new year.
The Wifi was not at all good and it was quite cold despite the oil heaters. The bottom sheet was marked.
I was visiting family for Christmas and the location was very convenient and the bungalow itself was lovely, Very comfortable with everything I needed including food and water bowls for my dog, which saved me having to bring them! The furnishings were lovely and I felt very at home and it made my stay much more enjoyable. I will definitely visit again. The only thing that would have improved my stay was the weather - it was very wet and windy!
This is a lovely quaint cottage literally minutes away from the beach and town centre. It is decorated very tastefully with lots of extra little touches but could be made even better and more elegant by replacing or painting the pine elements. The pine just didn't seem to fit with the rest of the modern, coastal theme but this is only a very minor criticism. The only other criticism would be the lack of heating in the kitchen. It didn't affect our stay too much as we had fairly decent weather but you could definitely feel the temperature difference when walking from the lounge into the kitch...more
We enjoyed our stay at Greenway bungalow, it was an excellent base for our family Christmas in Galmpton. It was very clean and the kitchen was very well equipped with everything we could need. It was warm and the beds were comfortable. The only issue was that when we arrived in the dark, windy winter evening the key safe wouldn’t open however we tried. This was quickly resolved when we phoned the number we were given and after about 10 minutes we were told that the code had been changed since we had received our arrival information. We have stayed in other bungalows before, and enjoyed our stay at Dart Vale. The decor and facilities were great, and worked well for us plus a dog, to care for my mum who lives in the village. Not quite a river view, sadly! Only downside is the lack of heating, which leaves the bungalow damp throughout. The chalet isnt any cheaper than others that have regular heating included in the price, and electricity has to be paid for through a meter. The towel rail, for instance, doesnt really dry the towels, and it is too cold in October to open the windows all the time. Probably lovely in the...more
We enjoyed a delightful week long stay at this pleasant cottage, finding it spotlessly clean, very comfortable and adequately equipped. I wasn't confident enough to attempt to negotiate the car bay provided so I echo previous reviews in requesting a parking permit for the stay as you have a choice of 3 car parks, all in close proximity.
