Rosehendra tucks itself away in a peaceful rural setting not far from the wonderful beaches and attractions along Cornwall’s west coast. A beautifully refurbished barn conversion with a woodburner and private garden, it’s the perfect place for a Cornish escape with friends and family at any time of the year.

Original features and tasteful furnishing mean you’ll feel instantly at home. There’s ample space for four guests too, with two welcoming bedrooms (both with doors leading outside to the patio area), a family bathroom, a modern kitchen and a gorgeous open-plan lounge. Of course, holidays are all about spending time together so the living area has been designed to incorporate a lovely, large conservatory where you can dine, unwind or play board games in the sunshine - even on those slightly chillier days. Rosehendra’s garden wraps around the cottage and is ideal for guests travelling with their four-legged companions. The large patio area to the back of the cottage is furnished with an outdoor dining set and gas BBQ so it’s a lovely spot for fresh air feasts and relaxation when the sun’s out.

For days out in west Cornwall, whether adventuring to nearby attractions, ambling the streets of its local towns or lazing on the beach, Rosehendra couldn’t be better positioned. Virtually equidistant from the coastal towns of Hayle and Marazion, and less than a 30-minute drive from Land’s End and Mousehole, you’ll have the best of the region at your fingertips. Carbis Bay lies within 15 minutes drive, and St Ives is just a tiny bit further which means you can surf, SUP and sunbathe, peruse galleries like The Tate and Barbara Hepworth’s Studio and Sculpture Garden, amble the South West Coast Path and eat out at a top-notch restaurant – all within minutes of your front door.

Other nearby attractions include Marazion’s iconic landmark at St Michael’s Mount (8 minutes), Porthkidney Sands and Hayle Estuary (15 minutes), Praa Sands (15 minutes), the Jubilee Pool at Penzance (15 minutes), Newlyn Harbour (20 minutes), the postcard-perfect village of Mousehole (22 minutes),Gwithian Towans and Godrevy Lighthouse (under 20 minutes), The Minack Theatre and PK Porthcurno Museum of Global Communications (just over half an hour).

Perfect Getaway

Lovely secluded spot. Very quiet and ideal for dogs. Only a short drive to beaches and quaint Cornish towns but a car is essential.

We have just steyed for s week at zRosehendra and thought it was wonderful, the charming cottage was beutiful and tastefully done to a very high standard, Paula and Richard have tried to think of every possible thing you may eber need from a home from home, the cottage is complimented with a front garden snd drive and a paved side garden with seating areas that catch the sun at the right times you need it too.
The cottage is in a small hamlet 5 minutes away from Marazion and st Michaels Mount but also only 15 mins from St Ives, Hayle or Penzance.
The train from St Erth to St Ives is 2 mins from your stay and takes the journey along the stunning coast to st ives not to be missed, we will return and can recomend this charming 5 star cottage.

We’ve been making annual pilgrimages to Rosehendra for the past 8 years (with two small kids in tow!) which l, given the distance from our house, speaks volumes about our attachment to this place.
Paula & Richard are excellent hosts - and personally go out of their way to ensure that guests of Rosehendra have a wonderful holiday. The Cornish treats on arrival were a lovely and much appreciated touch after long drive. They’ve also put together a really informative visitors guide full of insider recommendations for restaurants and days out that we’ve found invaluable.
In terms of location, Rosehendra combines the best of both worlds - an idyllic secluded setting off the beaten track that’s within easy reach of Marazion, St Ives, the Eden Project as well as some stunning local beaches and walks.
The property was clean with freshly laundered soft towels ready in each room and the decor is beautifully done in a chic coastal palette of blues, whites, greys.
The property is cozy & comfortable with plenty of room for the whole family to spread out & have their own space. Special mention for the bedding & mattresses which are to die for and mean we always sleep like logs!
We also loved the garden & large planted patio area (complete with BBQ and seating area) - it’s an ideal outdoor setup for families with kids.
We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Rosehendra to anyone who is looking for the perfect sanctuary in which to decompress & explore this stunning part of the UK.

Loved our short break at Rosehendra. Delightful base to explore the idyllic West Cornwall Peninsula and easy to access the beaches nearby. Tastefully decorated with a combination of vintage/modern and immaculately clean. We much appreciated the guide book provided by the owners which gave us so much information. We are hoping to come back in September for at least a week.

Great location, great garden and outside seating areas. Property was absolutely freezing when we arrived and took a long time to heat up, bathroom was cold all week, despite heating being on. Didn’t look as though it had been throughly cleaned as a pair of glasses and empty packaging were left under the bed! The whole place was very dusty, lots of cobwebs and black mould on the walls in the dining room. It was in need of some good cleaning f and re decorating. It also smelt very musty and damp . Such a shame as it could have been really great !

Hi, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, we are glad to hear you enjoyed the location and garden with the outdoor seating areas. I am sorry to hear you found the property to be cold and not thoroughly clean. I have spoken with the owner who let us know that the heating was left on for your arrival and there is a woodburner with a supply of logs left for your stay. If you had reached out during your stay they could of supplied you with some oil fired heaters. After speaking with you on the phone you did say specifically it was the bathroom that was cold and the oil fired heaters could of been useful to put in the bathroom to warm it up. The owner also went in on the day of your arrival and wiped down all the surfaces and checked for cobwebs and this is how a pair of glasses were left in the property. We do hope to welcome you back soon. Best wishes, The Luxury Coastal Team
