If you’ve been longing for a ‘one of a kind’ escape on Devon’s beautiful North Coast, this superb, newly-built eco home just 2 miles from Woolacombe Beach will more than appease the craving. One of an exclusive collection of luxury houses on the Willingcott village, No. 2 The Vista combines its exceptional location with stunning architecture and design to offer families and groups of friends the ultimate in coastal retreats.

Settling within 100 acres of countryside in a valley that lies just beyond the coastline, this beautiful property feels worlds away from life’s busy schedules. Step inside and discover a light-filled, double volume height living area with contemporary styling and tasteful furnishings. The open plan design which incorporates its fabulous kitchen and dining area creates the perfect space for entertaining and socialising, with glass sliding doors opening out to the terrace for that quintessential indoor / outdoor lifestyle. Four sumptuous bedrooms offer ample space for eight guests with two of the rooms having twin beds that can be configured to super kings.

Fabulously equipped with a host of creature comforts and amenities, guests can expect the very best of fittings and furnishings throughout. With a Smart TV and streaming device to keep both adults and children entertained, as well as high quality beds, luxury bathrooms and plenty of outside space complete with a large, decked area.

Awarded a ‘World Class Surfing Reserve’, Woolacombe is combination of sprawling golden sand and clean, clear water, with of course excellent surf. Ideal for both beginners and pros, its waves draw a local and global surfing fraternity all year round, with smaller sets in summer just right for first-timers, and the biggest swells rolling in during autumn and winter.

For those who prefer sunbathing and sandcastle building, 3 miles of beach make it an excellent spot for family days out, and with low tide exposing a wealth of rock pools, little explorers can get up close to the coast’s marine life too. Well-known for its smaller beaches too, the area boasts several sheltered bays including Barricane and Lee Bay.

Overall the property was lovely- just what we wanted.
Just a couple of minor points ;
There was no proper chopping board.
The knives were really blunt.
Why when we have paid thousands of pounds are spare toilet rolls not provided?

My girlfriends and I took pot luck booking this 8 berth Lodge and were amazed when arriving how beautiful it actually was even though the pictures still did it justice.
We arrived early and contacted reception to see if able to access the property sooner and the staff were exceptional.
We were advised that due to the high tech of the lodge (eco friendly) that it took 4 hours to heat to the correct temperature, but once at correct heat was easy to manage.
unfortunately for our party the Lodge had some technical issues with the heating and it was exceptionally cold for the first evening and one of the bedrooms was very uncomfortably cold.
The staff on site though tried to do everything they could to assist as quickly as possible and offered heaters and offered compensation or alternative solution if not fixed.
They were attentive, polite, professional and we arrived to some lovely gifts of food and drink was extra special.
The property was in clean tidy, modern and all round beautiful, the views were incredible, the lakes, walks were wonderful.
There were several Lodges all the same but with enough distance to not be bothered by neighbors, noise or interruption.
The view from the Hot Tub was wonderful, very quiet, with fantastic views (my only niggle was that you could see it from the road and two other lodges so a suggested fence along the edge of the decking would be so much more private, as it was a little disconcerting with people staring whilst in the tub).
Kitchen fully fitted and a range or cutlery ect, more than adequate.

The rooms and facilities were great although due to the high tech of the lodges it was difficult to manage the heating especially in the bathrooms as the only heat was the radiator and you had to use these for your towels, there were no hooks in the bathrooms for towels or clothes whilst in the shower/bath which seemed odd!

Some plugs were situated behind cupboards that needed to be moved and it was solid furniture to move, difficult.
We needed to use these plugs due to mirror location, that were beautiful but not practical, due to the effects on the mirror, so you had to use one small corner to see in it.

So my only concerns and niggles were above
Hooks
Plugs location
Heating adjustment especially in the bathroom, having to boost all the time and remembering to do this
Fence for privacy whilst in the Hot Tub

BUT it was an amazing, stunning, beautiful Lodge and already planning to go back.

Looking forward to see the other 92 Lodges being built right next to a Cycle path that will eventually link to the The most famous and popular cycle path in Devon and Cornwall is the Tarka Trail, a 32-mile, traffic-free route inspired by the novel "Tarka the Otter", offering stunning scenery and a family-friendly cycling experience.

Such a lovely, contemporary, spacious property, perfect for our family and grandchildren. Lodge was immaculate, like new and had everything you would need. Hot tub was so nice and used daily.
Woolacombe is close by - 5 minute drive. My children walked a cycle/walk pathway in about 20 - 25 minutes.
Location is very quiet, perfect if you want a peaceful break away.
Had a wonderful break, thank you!

We enjoyed our stay at The Vista Willingcott, the lodge was spacious and very well equipped. The lodge is furnished to a high standard with comfy beds and the added bonus of a hot tub.

We liked the quiet location and did some lovely walks nearby.

It would have been great to have an electric charger which all the other lodges seemed to have. But this was a minor detail and did not detract from a lovely week away.

We loved staying at the Vista, Willingcott. The property was well equipped with everything we could have possibly needed, spacious and comfortable. The views over the countryside were gorgeous with the hot tub being a great place to relax after a day bodyboarding at the beach. We visited the onsite food truck once but wish we’d popped down before as the food was amazing. Pool
Booking system easy and loads of availability. We had a super time and would definitely visit again
