If you are looking to blend activity and relaxation on your next getaway then Foxglove Lodge is the perfect place to stay. With its south facing patio and hot tub you can enjoy hours of sun whilst relaxing in the tub and enjoying the tranquillity. Inside, the lodge is spacious and modern with all the comforts you would expect, with the triple aspect windows flooding the lodge with light. Only a short stroll from Roadford Lake there are an array of options right on your doorstep and if you a feeling particularly energetic you can use the on-site gym room.

Tucked away in an idyllic rural spot just 100 metres from Roadford Lake in Devon, this boutique lodge is the perfect combination of style and setting. Designed with both families and groups of friends in mind Foxglove enjoys a woodland edge position within the the grounds of Roadford Lake Lodges site with the spacious, open plan living area having glazed access out on to the large patio that is furnished with an outdoor dining suite land large 5/6 seater hot tub.

Four lovely bedrooms as well as two bathrooms provide eight guests with ample space, and a modern kitchen fitted with top quality appliances as well as the dining area and lounge, create a relaxing social hub at the heart of the lodge. Enjoy a morning coffee on the sun-drenched patio or sink into your own private hot tub and take in the peaceful setting. Roadford Lake is also home to a sports centre and fabulous little cafe, so those outdoor adventures or a cold drinks in the sunshine are within just a short amble from your front door.

We enjoyed our short stay at Foxglove Lodge. The site is quiet and information given before and during our visit was very efficient.
The area was good for our two dogs and would highly recommend a visit to Lydford Gorge and Sunday lunch at Bearslake Inn!

A very peaceful location, the grounds are very well kept. We enjoyed the lake, playground and cafe which are a two minute walk away through the woods. The hot tub was a great addition and we were able to seek prompt support to adjust the temperature. The garden furniture was plentiful, however we were unable to use the cushions because the storage box was unclean with extensive cobwebs. There are a few things to do locally and some pretty towns which are worth visiting. It is about a 50 minute drive to the north and south coast beaches. A comfortable and spacious property for an extended family stay. The lodge is well equipped, towels and bedding are included. Please note that the reception desk is not manned, however support is available through a phone number. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely come back.

9 of us stayed here comfortably. There was everything we needed for our stay which was great. The kids had no issue with wifi at all which is a bonus in places like these as can be hit and miss in rural areas. The lodge was clean but obviously there is some signs it is a pet friendly lodge. The dishwasher was a life saver with such a large family. The only couple of niggles we had was the hot tub was empty on arrival and wasn’t ready until the following afternoon but it was well used and loved for the rest of our stay. The other was it was stated there was a cafe on site open all year round, however it wasn’t open the whole duration of our stay so we had to venture out.
The nearest Tesco was 12 minutes away which was great.
The whole site was very quiet which was great. There was also tea, coffee, little pots of long life milk, salt and pepper which was very appreciated!

We loved the location and property. 4 adults, 4 children, and a dog fitted comfortably. We enjoyed the hot tub. And booked activities on the lake. It was ideal for a weekend away.

The only issue we came across was limited cutlery, and we had to keep washing. Some utensils need replacing, pizza cutter, and bottle opener broken. However, this was just a small issue, and otherwise, we enjoyed the property.

Amazed at the size and facilities (4 bedrooms) Lovely corner site very near to forest walk through to lakeside cafe. Hot tub absolutely MADE the holiday. Don't think the family will ever be satisfied with anything less now.

Pretty much everything you could want from a top class lodge - comfortable seating and beds - great condition given the use it must get.
You have to have a car as most places are a good drive away. The suggestions in the welcome pack were very good and we went to most of them.
The Lakeside cafe is very good and just a short walk through the woods to get there.
The hot tub gets a special mention being large and well featured. It was also serviced on a regular basis which was reassuring.
There were small matters like no instructions for the washer/drier which was difficult to fathom and the dishwasher where you had to hold the power button down for some time before the machine turned on.
Overall we had a great time and would be happy to go back again.

We had a lovely weekend at the lodge. There was all the facilities you needed. We had a group of 7 stay.
We had enough room in the oven to cook everything at the same time.
Was a lovely open space so you didn’t stand on each others toes.
The beds were comfy and bedrooms had a decent space.
Only downside if booking in the winter, not much to do around the lodges area.

We would definitely come back again.

Lovely lodge, clean & comfortable.
No welcome hamper would have been nice.
Hot tub was great although lacked privacy somewhat as right at the front.
We took two dogs & the lodge wasn’t really set up for them as totally open plan. Nowhere to dry off/sleep. Dog wash area very useful though.
Short distance down to the lake where there was great walking with lovely views.
Overall great, relaxing weekend had by us all.

Lovely location and lodges. Good facilities onsite such as a gym and a couple of EV charge points - may need more though. Good location for access to lovely Devon and Cornwall. Plenty of room for family of 5 in the 4 bedroom lodge. We would definitely stay again. A convenient shop would be good.

I could quite happily have made the lodge we stayed in my home. It was spacious, comfortable and very well equipped. Definitely luxurious. The grounds surrounding the lodges was beautifully layed out with some interesting features like the duck pond and lovely planting. The walks around the lake were stunning and plenty for children to amuse themselves with. We sat and watched the sun go down ....it was so peaceful and totally relaxing. The amenities on the site were very clean . The gym was fully equipped and great fun. The staff we spoke to were helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend and would certainly hope to return again. Oh and the hot tub ....whatever the weather is a definite bonus

The lodges are perfectly located so that there are nearby towns and villages to visit. The lake itself is stunning and really good to walk around but the main show is the lodges. There are stunning, very well kept, spacious and with all the amenities you may need! The hot-tub is a phenomenal addition which we made the most out of! Cannot recommend hese lodges enough to everyone I have spoken to!
