Beautifully styled with a contemporary coastal feel the cottage makes fantastic use of the quirky space within, where furnished nooks create the perfect place to catch up on a good book; and angular windows flood the home with natural light.

The ground floor is home to a lovely kitchen and boasts chunky worktops and a Belfast sink, while the huge range cooker along with a good selection of appliances means whipping up a hearty family meal is a breeze for even the most amateur of cooks. A comfortable dining room with its large table, ample seating and decorative feature fireplace is just the place for sharing those culinary creations in, and the room's cosy atmosphere invites long evenings of laughter, conversation and time spent together.

Arranged over the upper two floors of the property are two double bedrooms including a sumptuous master bedroom with king size bed, and the bijou living room complete with its woodburner, flat-screen television and a large L-shaped sofa, is the ideal spot for chilling out or enjoying a movie night in.

The twin villages of Kingsand and Cawsand are located on the Rame Peninsula and are just a three minute walk apart. Unspoiled by development they remain true to a traditional Cornish way of life and the beautiful scenery surrounding the area along with a small, sheltered bay make it a popular destination for visitors from all over the world including artists and members of the boating fraternity.

Kitchen - no kitchen roll; kettle too small; no kitchen/anti-bacterial spray; lighting poor (gloomy) with no discernible switch for the under unit lights; dishwasher difficult to operate (no instructions); limited selection of pans.
Parking - confusing instructions - should say can park outside just for loading/unloading and then park in car-park nearby.
TV (in main living area) - instructions for watching "normal" TV did not work - no option "You View" available to select.
Shower room - nowhere to put toiletries in shower, nowhere to put toiletries generally apart from the windowsill.
Electric radiators - no instructions, one in main living area did not work.
Main bedroom - poor lighting (only one bedside light), only one bedside cabinet.
Local contact - no mobile signal in cottage so unable to contact.

I booked Birdcage Cottage for a return visit to Kingsand over Easter. The cottage did not disappoint and was very well decorated and furnished. The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed cooking and eating in as well as going out in the village pubs. There are lovely walks from the door. We had nice weather so the decking out the front was a perfect place to sit out.

We had a wonderful stay at Birdcage Cottage. We hope to visit again. I love the deco. The cottage was like home, Nothing was missing. Perfect location for walks, visiting the surroundings with amazing views, lovely beaches. We had a day trip by boat from Cawsand to Plymouth. The Spar shop is like 50 meter away from the cottage you can find all the essentials to make dinner if not highly recommend the Devonport Inn but recommend booking. The history of Kingsand and Cawsand and the area majes the trip even more interesting.

The cottage is in a great place and a short walk down to the village. The house is well kept and has a nice cozy atmosphere and I think would be equally good in the winter as well as the summer. Some lovely walks around the area too and the local people are really welcoming. Parking is ok, you can pull up and unload with ease, but you will have to find parking a short walk away. Had a lovely time.

The cottage is very nice and very well placed for easy loading and unloading…. Very important in this area.

First impression was wow, it looked great was clean.

It was a great base for the beach, walks and also just to chill out at the beginning g and end of the day.

The shower was lovely good water pressure, the oven, dishwasher and washing machine all worked perfectly. When we used the TV we were able to stream our own accounts. WiFi was good.

The only point I would suggest is to redecorate the kitchen it is an area of heavy use and also the site of the first impression it is ok now but if left could become tired.
