Beam Ends is one of a kind. The beautiful interior has been designed taking inspiration from the striking Firmdale Hotels to give you the look and feel of a stylish boutique hotel on the beautiful Devon coast.

As you walk up the path with the sea breeze on your back, you’ll know you’ve found somewhere special. When you step inside, the vibrant, fresh interior will take your breath away as you admire all the wonderful design touches that makes this property so special. From the inviting sofas that will welcome you in after a day exploring to the flickering wood burner that makes a night in extra cosy, every last detail has been designed with rest and relaxation in mind. There’s even a sound proof cinema room to make a night in front of the TV one you won’t forget for a long time.

Of course, you can’t take away from the wonderful position which means you have striking sea views from many areas of the house, including the three king size bedrooms. And just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, imagine waking up to the sound of the waves before stepping out onto your very own balcony to enjoy your morning coffee? Tempted?

The chic design flows into the outside space too, so you can enjoy the last of the summer sun on your decking or unwind in the enclosed garden with your four-legged friend by your side.

A mile-long shingle beach is just steps from your front door and The Cricket Inn is a short walk away and offers a true taste of Devon. If you love to explore further afield, the sleepy coastal village of Torcross is a short drive away.

Please note that due to space within the property, Beam Ends is best suited to a maximum of 6 adults and 2 children.

Beam ends is in the beautiful little village. The property is next to the sea, with amazing views from the generous glass windows make the most of. The decor inside is beautiful and comfortable. The kitchen is well kitted out, including a nespresso. The lounge is vrry cody especially with the log burner going. We enjoyed having a separate cinema room ( took us a bit to figure out the volume is on the sonos speaker by the cabinet). The two front upstairs rooms have spectacular views. The third room upstairs is smaller, with one side of the bed against the wall.
The outside space is beautiful and I am sure would be fabulous in the summer months.

We loved staying at Beam End. It was a truly relaxing getaway. The house was lovely and the decor was great! I even started to learn chess after being inspired by the stunning chess board set up.
The pub nearby is lovely. So convenient, too.
Towards the end of the week we were watching dolphins from the comfort of the living room! Priceless!
We will be back, hopefully.

Firstly the location was amazing. Great sea views and coastal walks on our doorstep.
Overall the house is lovely however I really feel it is let down by the cleanliness of it. It was very dusty everywhere and think it could do with a deep clean.
Some of the furnishings are very tired.
We were told that the patio fort off one of the bedrooms was broken when we arrived and it would be fixed during our stay but this didn’t happen which was very disappointing.

Beesands is such a lovely place and we really enjoyed our stay at Beamends. Its straight opposite the sea and beach on a very quite no through road.
The property was a delight with so much glass allowing a wonderful view of the sea and great seating area at thd front ans back to catch the sunshine and pm. Very well equipped and comfortable especially the beds which important. We would definitely stsyagsin but without my 86 year old Dad as the stairs and few steps were a bit challenging big other than that big thumbs up from us.

Very comfortable mattresses, the furnishings are in quite good condition, and it is set in a lovely location in a quiet seaside village with uninterrupted views of the sea from Start Point lighthouse all the way to Blackpool Sands and beyond. It has a small but well-designed garden which serves as a suntrap. The bathrooms are modern with powerful showers. There are two restaurants within a few minutes walk and the house more or less sits on the SWCP, a huge plus. The large windows do not give much privacy but the pay off is wonderful views, raining or not.
However, it is marketed in the "luxury" category, but a number of issues work against this description, such as: it is advertised as having four double beds but one is an extremely uncomfortable and inadequate sofa bed in the cinema room. As there is no tv in the sitting room, this results in intruding on someone's space and rearranging the cinema room every time anyone wants to watch tv; minimal or no toiletries/cleaning products (e.g. no dish washing liquid, few dishwasher tablets and toilet paper etc); the washing machine is difficult to access as it is stored/hidden behind a baby chair, vacuum cleaner and other items in a cramped and dirty cupboard giving the impression that using it is discouraged; the kitchen design leaves little room for food preparation as the stove takes centre stage on the island; on arrival, some crockery and glasses, as well as some parts of the bathrooms, were not as clean as one would expect; and for the "welcome pack" a few odd looking scones were left in a plastic bag with an already opened jar of jam. 
In summary, don't expect "luxury" but it is a comfortable house with a fantastic view in a lovely location.

Sadly the promise of a relaxing luxury house by the sea was anything but this. The smell emitting from the ground floor was overwhelming and persistent the entire stay. Dirty dishes and used dirty foil in the oven did not help things and access to the washing machine in a cramped and dirty space was unreasonable. The enticing promise of a ‘cinema’ room was at best an uncomfortable sofa too close to the TV screen and the sound bar did not work. The extractor fan in this rooms’ bathroom was inefficient, likely because the fan was filled with dust and dirt. Both bathrooms did not drain well prompting the need for experts to attend to clear out/rod the drains. If this is not enough, a lot of the detail in the welcome pack is outdated and missing manuals. Despite the drain clean, the shower upstairs flooded which caused water to cascade into the kitchen via the lighting. On a positive note, the balcony space outside the front was pleasant with sea views and back garden was nice.

Beam Ends is a great property with an outstanding location. Save for the fact that it felt the house had not been used for a little while (no heating on and some cobwebs), I would have rated excellent for all categories of the ratings. A great place with wonderful rooms and views. Would recommend.

Beam Ends was a lovely property in a fantastic location. I wouldn't put it in the luxury category as there are still a number of issues with the property as a rental.
1. The downstairs toilet has a sewer smell which spreads to the cinema room
2. The general cleanliness is not in the luxury standard at all. I went around the whole house with an anti bac surface spray and wet ones. The wet ones were black at the end of a few wipes.
3. There are a number of windows that are broken and won't open. The reason I'm guessing is that they are difficult to open and people have forced them open resulting in breaking them
4. No tv in lounge. Yes there is a cinema room however if u want like sky news on while your have breakfast then it's not possible
5. Lounge access to rear garden needs tidying up. You are attacked by plants as you walk out of the rear door
6. The dining room chairs are very unstable and uncomfortable. ( the window at the dining room area is broken and cannot be opened. There is a note on there so known by owner/LuxuryCoastal.)
7. Outside of the property - ie the render needs some attention, cleaning, spider web removal, repaint - looks tired
8. On arrival we were met with a huge amount of dried on bird poo on the balcony that was so much it obstructed the view. It was an easy clean with boiling water and a mop however this is something that we shouldnt have to do at a luxury property

If these issues are regularly rectified then the house would be % fantastic. As I say the location is wonderful for walks and meals out . The cricket inn and Britannia shack are all you need. The food and service at both places are spot on

Since your review was left we have had a waste company and plumbers visit which has rectified the issue with the tank, they also confirmed there is no longer a sewage smell in the downstairs toilet or cinema room. Had we have been made aware there was a smell during your stay we would have been happy to arrange someone to visit to look into this. We have fed all the feedback regarding the cleanliness, windows, garden and exterior to the property manager to ensure these are investigated thoroughly. We absolutely loved Beam Ends location and decor, it’s been renovated to a high standard and the bedroom balconies were amazing. It overlooks the Beesands beach and the views are spectacular.

It’s close to a restaurant and pub, but no nearby shop so bring supplies.

We weren’t especially impressed by the service of the concierge. There was no working TV in the house despite a much anticipated and advertised cinema room, it took half the week to pronounce the existing TV was beyond repair and then the spare TV they brought was also broken. We were just offered a mere ‘sorry’ for an entire week without TV (with kids) but given this is quite a feature of the house they could have done better.

I wouldn’t say the kitchen was especially well equipped either, using a Nespresso coffee machine isn’t too good when it’s not easy to find the right capsules and none are provided.

So overall an absolutely lovely house that’s clean and well presented, in a stunning location, to say it’s luxury though is overstated, I think there needs to be a bit more effort to provide the little extras that make it a luxury stay.

Really nice house and location. A good few miles of very tight lanes to get to the house, which can be a bit daunting to navigate, but once there gives you a chance to really unwind in a quiet location. The house is gorgeous, a bit tired in places maybe, but it didn't really stop us enjoying it. A couple of things that did need sorting, the tv didn't work, but we had such lovely weather never really bothered us. And the patio doors were awful to try and work, maybe a note somewhere on how to use them, because we felt like they were broken, but I'm not sure they were. Beds were really comfy, location amazing.

Beautiful views from this property, the floor to ceiling windows and the balconies upstairs make this property unique and the views with the sea opposite are wonderful. Customer service was great with texts/calls/emails. Only issue were the dog hairs found in the bedding, I understand that this house allows pets but we found numerous hairs in our bedding which was not ideal.

The house is right on the beach with amazing views and lovely terraces and outside space.

We were 6 adults and 2 kids, who slept on the sofa bed in the cinema room. This was ok, but did mean that most of the time the adults had to share one bathroom as the second bathroom can only be accessed by the cinema room (where the kids were asleep) - worth bearing in mind if booking for more than 6 people.

We also felt that a few small details had been overlooked which was disappointing considering the price point of the property over the peak half term week. These would be very easily fixed (sufficient mugs/wine glasses, decent dishwasher etc.) and I’ll feed back privately to the owners on them in the hopes they improve for future guests.

The beds were very comfortable and overall we had a pleasant stay. The local pub is very good.

We had the best stay at Beamends. The location was the best - we loved looking out of the windows at the beautiful sea view everyday. It was a fantastic location with the seafood restaurant and pub just a few minutes walk away.
We were originally super disappointed that we were not allowed to use the balcony. However the agency dealt with it very well and ensured we were happy with the solution.
There were quite a few reasons I had to call the concierge - in we needed bedding for the spare bed, as well as the dishwasher not working. But they were super swift at dealing with all of our queries - thank you!
However the house, location and the quick friendly service was fantastic and we would love to come and stay again.

Loved this house. Great position, lots of breathing space, sophisticated decor and lovely views. A very comfortable stay rain or shine. We were are party of three adults, two children and a dog. A very pleasant coastal break.

Absolutely super location, 50ft from the beach. We weren’t expecting quite such a long distance on the one track lanes, but soon got used to it. The house was slightly smaller than we expected but had been decorated very well. The kitchen is modern and well equipped - maybe a couple more pans and some more BBQ utensils.

The beds were very firm and I didn’t find mine at all comfortable. Also not king size which we were led to believe. The showers were powerful and there was loads of hot water. It wasn’t as clean as I would expect given the late check in time. Unfortunately one of the bedroom balcony doors was broken and it was very hot upstairs.

We had a fantastic meal at the Cricket Inn and fish and chips at the Britannia. Both amazing and just up the road. The grandchildren were able to play on the green and the beach and it was a lovely family holiday.

Excellent in almost all areas - only shortcomings - some cobwebs suggested less than thorough cleaning, and the managing agent not answering telephone calls on checkout day was poor. Could benefit from an ice tray in the freezer. otherwise - very well equipped, very comfortable, ticked all the boxes and in an unbeatable location with a great pub and seafood place both within a couple of minutes walk. Very good.
