One of a collection of upmarket apartments within a pretty Victorian building, number 5 has been thoroughly revamped to provide guests with a holiday home that’s not only tastefully decorated and well-equipped, but beautifully styled and furnished too. But it’s the views of St Ives Bay beyond that set this holiday home apart. Visible from nearly every room, it’s a constant companion that reminds you of just how close you are to one of Cornwall’s most iconic beauty spots.

The apartment’s interior includes a stunning open plan living room with large sink-in sofa and flat screen TV which creates a fabulous space to unwind in. Bi-fold doors opening out to the balcony invite you step outside into the fresh air and watch the changing moods of the sea from sunrise to sunset. The kitchen can be found to the back of the living area and is fully equipped with a range of appliances and utensils, so for evenings when you’re not eating out at one of Carbis Bay’s award-winning restaurants, you can settle in for a lovely home cooked meal.

The spacious master bedroom features a superb king size bed and luxurious roll top bath which rests beneath the window and has more of those fantastic views, so it’s perfect for relaxation after a day spent down on the beach. Or for a quick de-sanding, there’s a separate shower room with luxury walk-in shower.

With the beach just a short stroll down the hill, you’ll be on the sand or in the water within minutes and with its variety of watersports and equipment hire on offer, Carbis Bay allows visitors of all abilities can take to the surf. To the front of the property is a manicured communal lawn where you can unwind in the sunshine with a good book before heading to nearby St Ives which bustles with restaurants, boutiques and galleries, so for non-beach days there’s plenty to see and do in the area.

This apartment is accessed via numerous steps so may not be suitable for those with limited mobility

My husband booked this apartment for my 30th Birthday back in March and honestly it was perfect! We were so impressed with the location and views! There was no one else in the apartment block (this one is on the top floor) at the time we were there so we had ample room for parking. The apartment was absolutely spotless, beautifully decorated and equipt with modern facilities and items such as an induction hob and Shark handheld vacuum.

The only thing I would say, that is of no fault of the owner at all, is that the stairs leading up to the apartment are really quite steep so carrying luggage up and down was a bit of a pain but again, that can’t be helped and didnt deter us from having a good time!

We would love to return in the future! Thank you!

Gorgeous apartment and amazing views.
Jules the housekeeper deserves a special mention...she is so helpful!
We had fab weather and spent hours gazing at the view.
Location is amazing...straight onto the coast path. 10 to 15 minute walk to Carbis Bay. Perfect!

One small complaint is regarding the communal areas. The stairway is in urgent need of redecoration. So much so, my heart sank as we climbed the stairs. Once in the apartment we were more than happy.

Maybe a welcome hamper or even just a small bottle of milk in the fridge would have been nice.

The apartment was stunning and it had a view to match. The bed was really comfortable and having a bath whilst looking at the view was really therapeutic. I must admit we found the last set of stairs up to the apartment very steep and think most elderly guests would feel the same. The location was good but it would have been nice to have a few more restaurants and bars within walking distance, thankfully the train station being so close and its access to St Ives was a godsend.

Me and my partner had a lovely time staying in this property. The views were absolutely stunning and the location of this property was perfect. Loved the views of the dolphins and seals in the sea in the mornings. Train station was on the door step and only 3 minutes to St Ives or there was the walking coastal path which was amazing.
