If you love coastal walks with your four-legged friend by your side, 4 At the Beach ticks all the boxes. As soon as you arrive and take in the sea air, you’ll step into coastal life with ease.

Your chic apartment has everything you’ll need to enjoy life by the sea, and when you need to relax after a busy day exploring, you can curl up in front of the TV with a film or good book. When morning arrives, you can step out onto your own private terrace to start making plans for the day ahead.

As the name suggests, At the Beach is in an enviable position on Slapton Sands, a three mile shingle beach on one of South Devon’s most popular coastlines. You’ll find a pub and café’s all a one to two minute walk away, and a charming farm shop approximately twenty minute walk away for local fresh produce and a bite to eat, and a working brewery.

This is the second Christmas we have spent at No. 4 The Beach and the 3rd time in total at the apartments; the first time was No.3 which we also were very happy with.
The apartment is very well equipped and very comfortable. The little touches like Christmas decorations make it very homely.
We were left a really lovely Christmas hamper which saved us having to buy a few extra treats.
The location is spectacular, right on the beach front.
It's also very handy for the pub which is a 5 minute walk away. Beware the size of the fish.
We would certainly recommend At The Beach and will happily return.

We had a great stay, Torcross is beautiful and feels like a very special little place. Close to salcombe and Dartmouth and lovely scenery. The apartment was nice but didn’t quite look as lovely as the photos, it was a bit darker and the floors were quite dirty.
But everything else was clean and the beds were very comfortable.
However when we left I recieved a messaged from Luxury costal telling me that I had lied and had a dog at the property which I hadn’t told them about and there was poo in the courtyard. They instantly charged me £65 without actually talking to me. This wasn’t the case as we don’t own a dog and we actually hadn’t used the outside area as it was quite bad weather when we visited. I did get a refund which took a week to come back. But I did find it quite unprofessional to assume I was lying and charge me without speaking to me directly.
For this reason I wouldn’t use luxury coastal again. Apart from that everything was very smooth and we had a nice stay.

Property was very spacious and well equipped. A bit far from main roads but is fine if you intend to drive to places. Close to the stoney beach which was lovely to sit on in the evening , also close to amenities, pub , cafe & fish bar within easy walking distance.

We are regular visitors to Torcross, and usually stay in the "At The Beach" complex when visiting out of season.
All of the apartments are of similar, very good quality, and the customer service and communication from Luxury Coastal is excellent.
We were advised that we would be able to check in early which, after a four and a half hour drive, was very welcome.
The apartment was spotless and very well equipped, and very comfortable.

No. 4 At The Beach is a beuatiful apartment which we would all happily return to. The location is superb with the beach literally on your doorstep. The bedrooms were very well fitted with lovely comfy beds and lots of storage. The bathrooms were very clean with very good showers. The kitchen had almost everything you could ask for but we felt it would benefit from a freezer. A small freezer compartment in the fridge is not adequate, especially I imagine in the summer.
If I had a couple of criticisms it would be that in the second bedroom there is no ventilation unless you had the patio doors open; personally I wouldn't want to do that. In the lounge the sofa by the window was very uncomfortable as you could feel the metal bars through the seat - I think it might be a sofa bed? The rest of the lounge was very comfortable and was furnished very well. We really appreciated the little touches of Christmas decorations and the lovely hamper you provided. Can I also mention that the contact you gave us in case of queries, Neil McWalter, was very helpful when we had a problem with the TV.

The apartment was clean and spacious. The showers in both bathrooms were very small and the shower heads far too big for the space. The bedrooms were disappointing in size. The location is lovely.

Over the years, 4 At The Beach has provided many guests with memorable holidays, and guest feedback helps us continue to improve. While we're glad you found the apartment spacious, we are saddened you did not feel this continued into the bedrooms as they are as pictured on the listing and we feel the rooms are sufficiently sized for the furniture and to enable guests to move freely around the beds. In regards to the showers, they feature drench/waterfall shower heads designed to give a greater level of water flow, which many of our premium properties offer as a feature. The shower cubicles are of a standard size as opposed to larger/double showers. However, we have tried to illustrate their size by including images of the showers on the web listing and are sorry if they did not meet expectations. Because we stayed At the Beach last year in number 1, which was spectacular in every way, this apartment was very different.
There are no nice views. The seating in the lounge is not very welcoming or comfortable for elderly people. The showers were not very nice as there is black mould which is a health hazard and although it is a nice apartment, the wooden floors were very very dirty. I had new pink leather soft sole slippers and they become black after only half an hour of me walking around.
The bedding seemed musty too and a tad damp.
The window blinds had to be kept closed due to being potentially overlooked so it was dark and dismal and noisy from people outside the lounge window.
We will not be re booking in the future.

Number 1 does indeed hold a spectacular spot, however, many guests comment on the ‘sea and ley glimpses’ from the large lounge bay windows of Number 4 also being idyllic, albeit not quite so panoramic as Number 1. We are saddened to hear you felt you needed to have the blinds closed whilst sitting in the lounge for being potentially overlooked, this is not a comment we have had before as the pavement ground level is much lower than the window sill, giving a lovely elevated view onto the beach. The lounge furniture in Number 4 is mostly new and we understand that comfort is a personal preference but we’re sorry that this didn’t meet your needs. The cleanliness and bedding points have been discussed with the housekeeping team and laundry suppliers, they are both greatly surprised by the comment, hold very high standards and do apologise if you feel these fell short on this occasion. We will be looking further into this to ensure the high standards are kept. We thank you for your feedback, and look forward to welcoming you back to the fabulous ‘At The Beach’ development. We have stayed at 4, The Beach for the last 3 years - so it must be good! The new owners have made subtle changes that make the apartment even nicer. The apartment is on the ground floor, has a sea view from the lounge and a little enclosed patio with comfortable seating. There was plenty of room for us and the dog for our two weeks stay. The owner has said that next year he will be updated the bathrooms too. The parking can be little cramped but there is one parking space for one car per apartment.

On arrival the apartment was easy to find from the directions given and access was simple with the given codes.

Everything was exactly as described, perfect.

One thing to note, the patio is "shared" with a neighbouring apartment. Although there is a metal bar to separate the areas, the dog staying next door "did his business" outside out patio doors (two or three times during our stay). Once reported, the people staying next door did clean it up the following day.

All in all, a beautiful, comfortable apartment with everything you need for your stay.

Love this apartment we usually book this four times a year. Very good location for us. We are booked again for this november for two weeks. We have also booked flat three and five for family at the same time.

Very nice apartment, outside area was not very private and not enclosed which meant we couldn’t relax while sat out as our patio was only separate by a railing not very good if you have a dog , the apartment floor was not very clean , and when I used the frying pan it had not been cleaned , the tv Netflix was in German and couldn’t change settings the hall lights stayed on for about 15 mins and randomly just came on ,

This was our second stay at 4 The Beach. It’s a nice, ground floor apartment in a perfect location. Unfortunately, this time, the neighbours above us were really noisy, including in the middle of the night, which was really annoying. Apart from that, it’s well equipped for a holiday let and a great base for exploring South Devon.

The appartment is on the ground floor and to the rear of the building so does not have views of the sea though you can hear the waves lapping due to its location on the seafront. The living room looks out onto parking and a wall at the side so there are no views. Having said that we didn't soend much time in the appartment as the weather was glorious and we were out hiking most of the day.
The appartment itself was very spacious, modern and clean. It was a great base from which to explore the coastal path around Prawle point and to venture into Kingsbridgge as we know the area well. The local pub on the seafront does excellent fresh seafood and staff are friendly and welcoming. We ate there both nights.
We kept the blinds in the bedrooms closed as there are patios to each of the individual flats to the rear, directly behind the bedroom windows with seating so did not feel very private. We could hear everything from the flat above from the bedroom in the morning when they were out on the patio.
The only other downside was the size of the double beds - small double. I'm a petite 5 ft 2 and lying in the centre my arms outstretched my hands were off the side of the bed at each side so we didn't sleep very well. This was fine for our short stay but would be a problem if we'd stayed longer.
Check in details and directions easy to follow. Information folder needs some TLC and update.

This is the second time we have stayed here. It is a very convenient base for visiting towns and beaches along the coast. Secure parking and access is a bonus. It is a modern and clean apartment with all we need including smart TV. We will be back.
