Everything was so wonderful and comfortable it was so hard to leave and explore. The coziness made us not want to even get out of bed in the morning. The worst part of this stay is having to leave. Thank you for everything to Annie and the entire team at the Duffus Estate.
Autumn, with the stubble fields available on the Cabin doorstep for our dog proved ideal - spacious and safe. Deer, bats, buzzards, kestrels, curlews entertained, as did the RAF from the Lossiemouth base. Dark night skies over Duffus Castle allowed us to view the Milky Way. The property was peaceful, clean, warm and inviting - but would have benefited from a little more storage space (we used the car for storage, so this didn't matter too much). We (Natalie, Steve and Archie the Flat-Coat) loved our time there so much we have booked another break at the Cabin in Autumn 2027.
I stayed at the Old Duffus Farmhouse along with my two daughters and their families, a group total of 8 including 1 infant. The joining instructions were very thorough and were provided to us in plenty of time before our stay. On arrival we found the property to be very clean, fresh and tidy with great views over the surrounding countryside and nearby castle and it suited our needs perfectly. The welcome pack was ideal. Fisherman's Rest... absolutely brilliant, spacious yet cosy. Quality finish and all the amenities you need.
Barley Bank is a lovely house with 3 bedrooms, sleeping a total of 6 people. Great access to Moray-based activities.
