We found Kirktoun a very comfortable and well equipped cottage. A welcome pack was a nice touch. The open fire made it particularly cosy when settling down for the evenings. Direct access to the estate grounds and lots to see and do nearby meant we didn't have to drive any distance during our short stay.
We stayed at the cabin over the weekend and this is where we got engaged .. The cottage is out the way with the most amazing view, it was lovely sitting there listening to the wildlife. The hosts add lovely personal touches with we bits of groceries, lovely robes. We lived our stay and will definitely be back
Another great stay with the Duffus Estate - this is my fourth stay now having stayed in two of their properties in total. The lodge has a lovely feel to it, very cosy, well maintained and the staff are simply amazing - they’re ‘hands off’ (which I really like) but are always available at the end of the phone if you need somebody. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
We had the most wonderful time staying at the old farmhouse. Our son is at Gordonstoun and we took him out for the weekend and had a lovely time exploring beautiful moray. The kitchen is very well equipped. It is lovely and quiet. We loved the duffus castle. And obviously the sun shone every day.
We enjoyed our stay. We now see why there are no photos of the shower room online- it’s very small. Only one surface to put toiletries on. No where in the shower for toiletries and no hook to hang a dressing gown or your clothes when you go for a shower. Also the door on the bedroom wardrobe would not stay shut at all. So we had to have it open all week. Extremely well stocked with a wonderful welcome pack, toilet roll, kitchen roll and cleaning materials. Very cosy and loved the radios. Fantastic location. Excellent information on the area and communication and directions fantastic.
