No problems. Nice large house right in the port with parking for approx 4 cars otherwise you have to park in the public car park (And pay) at the top of the hill and walk in. Well equipped with everything you need. Nice small garden with BBQ. Welcome pack was a godsend.....Everything thing was 'Cornish' nice gesture. A nice Co-op well stocked shop is just a short walk away. Also nice pastie and bakery shop. Nice restaurants and pubs in the port. A must is to book and have a meal in the 'Old School House' would recommed the 'Fish and Chips' you will not be dissapointed. Only problem was that ...more
This is our second stay at this delightful holiday home. Apart from the great location ( walking to the beaches at Polzeath and New Polzeath ) it’s so comfortable either lovely bright crisp decor , well equipped kitchen and space for our family of grown up kids and their partners. I also love the endless supply of hot water . The welcome hamper is breathtaking and really makes for a great holiday atmosphere from the start .Theres plenty of space to wash and dry wetsuits outside in the garden in private . We love this place
Came all the way from Seattle, WA USA and it was such a pleasure staying there. The cottage was inviting, cozy, clean and modern. The access to the cliff walks was just a few steps away and one am we had a herd of sheep go by on the road! Cooking in the kitchen was a breeze! The bathrooms were great. Just loved it- would like to come again! Thanks again for the wonderful hospitality!
We stayed at Silvershells for a week in August. The weather was changeable but the property's large widow meant we could enjoy the view even when it was raining. The cottage was beautifully decorated, clean and spacious. The back gate onto the lane into Port Issac was a fantastic as it meant walking to and from the village was about 5 minutes. The only slight criticism was the size of the double beds which were rather small as we are use to a super king!
Wedge Cottage is a gorgeous modern holiday home in a peaceful countryside setting, close to the beach & amenities of Polzeath. Comfortable beds, spacious living room/kitchen & luxurious bathrooms will ensure we will be back!
Great stay at this amazing property.Very well equipped and everywhere was spotlessly clean. Plenty of towels and all bedding provided. The welcome pack was lovely and really appreciated after our long journey.
We have stayed at Webbs Retreat many times before and it is a great place for a large family group. We especially like the fact all bedrooms have an en suite bathroom as well as a downstairs loo too. There is also plenty of room at the dining table and in the lounge for a large group. Would have given excellent for comfort but the mattresses were more uncomfortable this time - or are we just getting older ! The Point restaurant is normally very good but was a little chaotic when we ate there on a Sunday - think there might be new management who need to bed in. Food good once we got it !...more
The facilities and situation were just right for a large family holiday. It included an age range from 6 months to 74 years.
Very clean and comfortable, shame about the garden. A nice decking area by the french windows and although we knew it wasn't suitable for toddlers, in our opinion, not suitable for young children either and quite precarious getting to the washing line!
Extremely comfortable apartment, with a great view over Polzeath beach and the sea. The apartment was fitted out to a very high standard, and we were happy with everything apart from the drainage in one of the baths.
A beautifully designed house with amazing interior. Welcome pack was great. High specification in all appliances was fab. An excellent property. Only distraction was a drain smell in the family bathroom when window was open, presumably from stench pipe at side of house. All in all and excellent holiday base
We had a wonderful week at Schoopers. It has a "Swallows and Amazons' feel with a secret path through the woods to the beach/estuary. Sailing, kayaking and bonfires on the beach add to the sense of outdoor adventure. Its secluded position means that all you hear are birdsong and the distant drone of speed boats pulling waterskiers on the estuary. The house itself has character and amazing views. Some areas are a bit dated but comfortable and it has everything you need including a useful hose/washing line to wash down and hang up wetsuits. It is a short drive to Polzeath for surfing/body board...more
Little Gull is a high spec house perfect for four people. It is well equipped, tastefully furnished, well positioned and is dog friendly. This was our second stay there - the first was two years ago and the property has been kept in excellent order during that time. It is a great base for exploring the North Cornwall coast. It is a twenty minute walk to beautiful Polzeath and we enjoyed a weeks membership at the Health club, The point, just a few hundred years from the house. It really is a lovely little abode. My only criticism was the bed that I slept on which is a tad hard and uncomfortable...more
Situated in a nice quiet corner of the estate. Very comfortable and a lovely garden for children to play. Excellent all round.
We have taken Hampden for our extended family for the last eighteen years and now consider it as our second home. It is large and comfortable and the service is excellent.
No WiFi is a blessing for me when on holiday but doesn’t suit everyone perhaps. Ideal setting for a small family.
My only negative was that there was cobwebs on the corners of the ceiling and round the windows as if the apartment had been shut up for sometime, other than that it was excellent. Clean sheets and towels and a lovely welcome pack on our arrival. Would definitely stay again
A lovely cottage on the outskirts of Port Isaac with parking for 2 cars which was definitely a plus point when choosing somewhere. The furnishings and décor are to a high standard which made us feel comfortable and at home. The welcome pack items were appreciated (just wish I could have tried the cake but being coeliac I had to pass.) I did inform the company of my dietary requirements but they didn't take note unfortunately. As a small person I found the double room quite small and very few places to put anything. The shelving had baskets and ornaments and books on them which sort of defea...more
Amazing family home, 5 mins from the beach and everything Polzeath has to offer. Would thoroughly recommend and hope to return soon!
My family were very pleased with the cottage and it exceeded our expectation. It was a very comfortable and well equipped house and we thoroughly enjoyed exploring the area. We enjoyed the use of the swimming pool and other facilities and enjoyed a meal in the restaurant on the first night. Thank you.
Overall very good. A few minor points: Better ventilation in bedroom would be good. It could become stuffy even with the windows open. Would prefer a lighter duvet in warmer weather A bit cluttered with ornaments. Remove some, particularly in bathroom. Artificial plants!
The house is spacious and accommodated our family , ages ranging from 70 through to teenagers, a toddler and 2 week old babe in arms, with ease. The house has a homely feel. We were able to use the sports facilities at the Point which means that cold or damp weather does not leave you stuck inside. The short walk, across the golf course to the beach was really handy. One drawback, not just of the house but of the whole of Polzeath is the lack of recycling. We made two lengthy journeys to Wadebridge and surrounding areas in order to dispose of recycle-able waste over half of which had been lef...more
Nice location, beds are uncomfortable the down stairs shower needs a little attention to decoration, fairly comfortable for ten persons. We did have a good time and i would recommend Badgers Drift to a friend.
Plus points: Great location, great amount of space and excellent facilities. Perfect for a group or large family, particularly the huge lounge leading to a dining area and deck. On this basis I would recommend it. Sadly the child staying in the flat above us woke regularly at 6am and rode a trike round and round. This disturbed the sleep of guests in 2 bedrooms who ended up on sofas in the lounge. The large ensuite double bed dipped slightly in the middle and the dining room table had a very sticky finish making it unpleasant to sit at. There were small areas of mould growing around a few win...more
We were told when we went to collect the keys to 2 Silvershell View that the front door window had been broken. The lady (sorry don’t know her name ) at the office said that the person who could fix it was on holiday so it would not be fixed during our stay. Which I thought was totally unacceptable. We arrived at the property which was tatty and frankly looked like a squat from the outside. The inside was tired and all we could smell was cigarettes. I called the office to complain, the chap at the office (David) said he was sorry and that there should be no smoking at the property. The bathroom...more
