We recently stayed at Howgills Appartments for 1 night during our Dales Way walk and it was absolutely lovely. The whole appartment was very clean and tidy and perfect for relaxing in after a long days walking. The complimentary tea, coffee and milk are a lovely gesture. Before and during our stay I spoke to the staff and they were incredibly helpful, the lady I spoke too couldn't do enough to help, she was really lovely. We intend to return to Sedbergh to walk the Howgills and when we do we will definately stay at Howgills appartments again.
The apartments are comfortable, warm and well maintained and contain everything that is needed for the visit. The location is very central in the village and close to all services, if traveling by public transport, everything is close to hand! We travel to the area at 4 or 5 times per year and the apartments are always our preferred choice. Help is always available by telephone or email if required and everyone is always keen to help wherever possible.
A very comfortable bed and pillows, usually they are not very good and well worn. Good having the on suite available.

The children also liked the peaceful countryside and to my surprise preferred it to the noisy and hectic London. They liked the rooms and comfortable beds a lot. The teachers loved spending one evening in a jacuzzi, relaxing from a very busy day. I thank you very much for your hospitality and perfect accomm...more

Howgills was a delightful stay. The apartment was immaculate and so cosy! The staff were extremely helpful throughout my stay here. I can not recommend enough how amazing our stay was!
We wanted a last minute no frills family room in the middle of nowhere with fantastic walks from the door. We also wanted hot tub access. The rooms were basic but had all you needed. The kitchen was well stocked, spacious and easy to use. The living/dining space was relaxed and again spacious. The hot tub was the highlight due to the views as you soaked. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. For a last minute night away it was a little over priced in my Yorkshire opinion and the hidden dog charge/ hot tub charge wasn't advertised on the website but we thoroughly enjoyed our entire sta...more
