We loved our stay this is a great place to get together with friends it was very clean and the property owner and Herdwick the Agent were lovely to deal with we hope to go back very soon.
We came on a short break to celebrate our 37th wedding anniversary. Delighted that our dog could accompany us. The charming cottage was well equipped and cosy with an efficient log burner. We will certainly return soon.
Lovely cottage in a peaceful village, nice kitchen with plenty of pots pans and utensils - note there is no microwave, the hob takes a bit of getting used to but working through the instructions gets you there. The bathroom is modern set out as a wet room with a lovely shower. Nice conservatory area for breakfast, this looks out over the village green. Sitting room has a couch, a wood burner and a small tv and is nice and snug. Upstairs is the bedroom, the bed is very comfortable, note there isn’t a lot of clothes storage space but again for me this was not an issue. The only issue I had was t...more
The apartment was very nice with excellent facilities and a view of Kendal Castle out the window. The area was very convenient with lots of shops and things to do. I will definitely be returning in the future!
We stayed in the Shepherd Hut and rented the hot tub for the night. We had a brilliant time, the views were beautiful and the site is in such a peaceful area. The facilities are excellent, very clean and everything you need is available to you. The hot tub was easy to use and a lovely added extra for our stay. We were also offered the a breakfast hamper, which we didn't purchase as unfortunately we were leaving early but it was nice that this was available to us. Would recommend this space to anyone, perfect for a romantic getaway or if you need to unwind. Thank you for the wonderful stay, w...more
We stayed 3 nights with our son and his wife and two young children. The cottage is basic but has everything you need to make yourself feel at home for few days. We walked to Windermere in few minutes and found plenty of pubs and restaurants to enjoy. The walk to Bowness was a bit further but enjoyable in pleasant weather and the boat trips on the lake gave us the opportunity to see the amazing scenery in the area.
