We chose the attractive Tyas Cottage as a perfect halfway meeting place for family driving north and us driving south from Northumberland. As it transpired, it was a perfect decision and location on all fronts. Tyas Cottage is comfortable, with every convenience and so tastefully furnished and decorated. The owners of the cottage are very welcoming, offering friendly chat/local history, fresh milk, garden produce, and access to the extraordinary, landscaped garden which included swinging pods on the Merrydale Brook.
