The family had a lovely relaxing time at the Old Garage. The weather reached a record breaking 40 degrees centigrade during our stay and we contemplated using the hot tub to cool off! Everything was clean and stylish inside, we loved the bi-fold doors which made the place lovely and airy. We didn't have any direct contact with the owner, we didn't need to discuss anything - the pre-arrival info was comprehensive, concise and accurate. An excellent experience.
Old Farm Cottage is a really lovely place in a gorgeous location about a 15’ walk from The Swan at Bibury but beautifully quiet and peaceful - birdsong fills the air and the garden at the cottage is wonderful with a choice of sitting front or back to catch the sun. Inside the cottage is a good size with all amenities- the log burner makes it cosy but it is very warm without. Comfy beds, good bedlinen and 2 bathrooms make it a great place to stay. We were 3 friends staying for a weekend away and with a bedroom each it was the perfect choice. We would certainly come back for another visit. Just ...more
Manor farm cottage was utterly gorgeous, the cottage itself is a beautifully done conversion, and the furnishings are luxurious and modern, yet cosy. It had everything we might require, including cake and wine on arrival!! It’s perfectly situated for easy access to lots of cotswold hot spots, while being in the most beautiful sleepy village, with easy access to rural walks. This is one of the best holiday cottages I’ve ever stayed at. Staycotswolds was also great at promptly working with us when we needed to make some date adjustments.
Such a lovely property, very well situated (only parking is a bit tricky) and nicely equipped also for longer stays. We will definitely book again :)
Lovely accommodation in a fantastic location. The barn was perfect for a couple, everything we needed was provided and of very good quality and was in the he grounds of the owners property. We found it very private and only saw the owners on our arrival. We appreciated the provisions they left for us, including beer from the local brewery. The nearest pub and well stocked general store were only 2 minutes walk away (and another 2 pubs within a mile). We wouldn’t hesitate to book this accommodation again.
We had a wonderful weekend at Owl's Roost. Laura and Nick were perfect hosts and the barn is fabulous and set up very well for group/family stays. The location was perfect for a country getaway - no noise except for animals and ourselves. Easy distance to some of the prettiest villages I'm the Cotswolds and the Cotswold Distillery!
What a perfect base for a cotswolds holiday. What drew us in was the truly modern style and the pool. Flo and Dave are there to answer any question and the fresh bread and treats on arrival were a true treat! We loved the place and would definitely return. 2 young kids aged 3 and 5 and plenty to explore - Flo left 3 childrens books on their nightstand, plenty of pool toys for them and board games! We weee spoilt for choice and these little touches made our holiday truly memorable.
July cottage is beautifully furnished, with a everything you need a real home from home. The cottage has a lovely garden to sit and relax in. Ilmingtonis is the most wonderful and pretty village. The village community shop is well stocked, and has a delightful cafe.
We had a wonderful short break. The downstairs bedroom and bathroom were perfect for my Mum who is slightly disabled. The other bedrooms were all comfortable and the bathrooms a great size. The kitchen is a lovely family room that has a sofa for everyone to congregate whilst the cooks cook!!! We decided the house was so perfect that we ate all our meals here!!! Location was great for walking and we strolled up to the nearby Roman Villa one day. The garden is large enough to sit out and feel unexposed….with a great patio with table and chairs. Ample parking and very welcoming touches. We ...more
It was such a joy to stay at Travellers Joy! So clean and beautiful! Perfectly positioned in a gorgeous village close to Stow. The cottage was really well equipped to cater for meals but is also across from the local pub which served fabulous meals for a night out. Thankyou for all the goodies we received on arrival - Prosecco, fresh bread, butter etc, etc. Such a lovely welcome! Will definitely book at Travellers Joy again.
Beautiful little cottage suitable for 2 people, excellent location just outside Stow. This was our second stay, perfect if you have a fury friend there are lots of lovely walks. The cottage is very warm, cosy also lovely touches were provided for our arrival. Great food at the Sheep on Sheep St.
A lovely, modernised barn conversion with plenty of room for myself and my three family members to stay. Beautifully decorated for a comfortable and cosy retreat. All bathrooms and kitchens are well equipped, with the sitting room providing a lovely spot for us all to gather. Very comfy beds. The village was peaceful and easily accessible for days out exploring the Cotswolds. Would happily recommend to friends, and stay here again in the future. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Absolutely loved our stay here. The house is supberb with so many original features and attention to detail in the pictures and ornaments that decorate it. The owner along with the neighbours made us feel so welcome, it really felt very special. The garden is south facing and a real sun trap. The village of Bourton on the Water is very pretty with some great attractions, great eateries, and lovely walks. Would highly recommend. If we return to Bourton which is very likely, there is no where else that we'd like to stay.
We had a lovely break at Perry cottage with our dog. The facilities and level of cleanliness were outstanding. Everything was provided to make our stay a truly lovely experience. The bottle of wine, biscuits and fresh flowers were very much appreciated. So many beautiful walks and places to see in this lovely part of the country. We will definitely be back to visit the local pub which unfortunately was closed due to refurbishment work following a fire.
Thank you so much Eliza and Richard for providing and sharing such a wonderful place to stay. House and setting is perfect in every way. Loved the laid-back informal approach. Felt like we were friends staying over rather than paying customers so to speak. All the very best and thanks again.
We stayed for 8 nights and loved every minute of the trip. The cottage is a great base to explore the area and is on one of the main cycle routes so easy access to other villages. The facilities were lovely as were the hosts who provided everything we could wish for. The cottage is in a quiet location with the sound of sheep to wake up to in the mornings.
Really lovely place to stay, quiet, wonderful setting, no issues at all. We stayed for 3 nights, me & my wife plus our baby boy. Travel cot provided, but we did bring our own. This fitted nicely next to the bed in the eaves. I'm 6'4 and take care everywhere I go. There was plenty of head room throughout for me. Kitchen fully stocked for most things, village location very nice. Would recommend.
Beautiful place, quiet location, lots to do and see. Would go again, host very welcoming. Thank you Jane and Ian
We had a very relaxing and peaceful two nights at Rose Tree Cottage. It is beautifully decorated throughout and the hosts have provided all the amenities you could possibly want. We were delighted that they left a delicious lemon drizzle cake for us. We really could not have asked for anything more. The cottage is in an ideal location to explore Stroud and the Cotswolds and we had a lovely and challenging four hour walk through the fields and forests. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer.
Most beautiful place we have stayed to date!! We will be returning again Very soon. Everything was perfection. Rob was very kind and helpful throughout our stay and Eric was lovely to speak to over the phone. Cottage was clean, comfortable and very cosy. Otto & Tavish are so gorgeous too xx See you all again soon Jenna & Simon and poppy xx
We loved having so many bedrooms and bathrooms for a family with grown children. They loved walking into Stow every day. However we were disappointed with the lack of basic supplies; i.e., toilet rolls, kitchen roll, only 1 tea towel for 8 people to use to wipe dishes and hands, nothing in the kitchen beyond salt, pepper, vinegar (is this due to Covid?). We came from abroad and can’t bring these things with us. Also, no manual to explain how to use the Everhot stove, no regular TV to watch live sport. It’s a good thing most of the week was sunny and warm so we didn’t rely on TV for entertainm...more
Fabulous place and surrounding walks, great for the family and the kids loved it. Recommend the circular walks near by
The house is beautiful and clean and very well stocked with everything you need. The rooms are very comfortable, we all had good night's sleep and it's very quiet so whoever else wakes up and gets moving first in the morning, does not disturb anyone else still sleeping. We had great communication from both Staycotswolds and Neil. It's not far from Broadway which has some lovely pubs. I would definitely stay here again and recommend. We had a great time.
This apartment is very clean and well equipped. The central location in Stow is handy for all local amenities including some good restaurants and bars. We parked in the longstay near Tesco which was only a short walk away. Very comfortable double bed. Would not hesitate to recommend and would stay again.
This is a lovely cottage in a perfect location. Really enjoyed our stay and hoping to return in the near future.
When arrived we were slightly concerned cottage opposite the Crown Hotel & Bar but any concerns soon went - did not hear any noise whatsoever, Blockley as a whole is a lovely village and very quiet ! Knoll cottage is beautiful and it was lovely to sit in garden and enjoy sunset with a drink most nights. Cottage is beautifully decorated and stocked . Can’t fault it one bit. We only managed to get parked once on street outside during our weeks stay which not ideal - had to park just round corner on the steep hill. Only 100m away and was safe enough. Would love to return to knoll cottage to fur...more
Never having been to the Cotswolds I just booked an apartment that looked nice and hoped for the best! As it turned out, the apartment was very nice (phew!) and not too far from anywhere we wanted to go. We stayed for four nights and it had everything we needed. The kitchen area has a kettle, microwave and toaster and we had tea, sugar milk and biscuits waiting for us which was a lovely touch. There was also washing-up liquid, j-cloth, tea towels and hand wash supplied. The apartment is decorated nicely and everything was very clean. The bathroom was on the upper floor. Showers are very often ...more
Everything about Twigs was perfect! The location, the peace and tranquility, the comfort (amazing bed and shower) and quality of the furniture and appliances. Every little detail was thought of, including a few little goodies to welcome us. Thank you Coral and John.
Beautiful cottage, furnished to a high standard and well equipped. Situated in a great location, walking distance to shops, pubs & restaurants. Great area for walking in the countryside.
Cosy Shepherds hut with fire pit and bbq on private ground. Loved the location. Nice to be able to play table tennis and table football. Not far from Lechlade where you can hire kayaks. Would love to come and stay again.
We had a great week at Shaven cottage. It's very comfortable, with high quality furnishings. Very conveniently situated to explore the Cotswolds. Had everything we needed for an enjoyable family get-together. (Parking restricted though, we parked across the road most of the time)
Absolutely loved the cottage - super clean and had everything we needed. Location was great too, 5 minutes walk to the high street. Lots of lovely pubs ! Just what we wanted.
Spring Cottage provided the perfect stay for grown up family to get together. Sympathetically furnished with high quality amenities and well maintained. Everything we needed including a great pub just up the road. Garden was lovely too with good quality furniture in pretty surroundings. Would definitely stay again if heading that way.
Lovely weekend in the Cotswolds exploring what it has to offer - and it didn't disappoint. Stow on the wold as base was an excellent choice.
A very pleasant time was had by the entire family in wonderful surroundings in a house that catered for all our needs. We could not have wished for a more relaxing few days.
Garden cottage is located in a very central location both to the town and church. Lovely cottage and tranquil garden with plenty of seating options. The bookcases are filled with lots of books but alas we had no spare time to read them. We enjoyed an evening dip in the hot tub in the garden.
We stayed for four nights to celebrate my son's wedding. The cottage is perfectly located in Fulbrook, within walking distance of the church and the Carpenter's Arms. The cottage was immaculately clean with attention to every detail so truly a home from home. There is a garden with loungers, seating and a bbq. Our stay was during the heatwave of July and there was a water challenge impacting all of Burford so there was no running water. On our return from the wedding reception we were delighted to see that our lovely hosts had left us 6x 2L bottles of water. It is with great pleasure ...more
Absolutely highly recommend. Beautiful house, great facilities, very well equipped kitchen. Flo and Dave were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to go back again!
We stayed 5 nights and loved staying at The Cotswold Lady. Beautifully updated and decorated. Comfortable and high quality bedding. Couldn’t have asked for anything more.
We had 26 family members aged from 63 to 1 year old stay from Scotland to Dorset and East Anglia and Midlands. Each family had there own barn base unit and we had a large core hub unit for time together. The weather was excellent so we were outside a lot but the hub area was very echoey on the occasions we used it. We had an excellent family time together and for many it was the first time that they met. There were a few minor maintenance issues which we would be happy to list if requested. Eg bulbs / extract fans not working. We would highly recommend it
What a stunning part of the country. During the busy Burford festival, hosts were attentive and helpful. The house is amazing and all I wished was that I owned it myself. Roses were in full bloom and amenities were spot on. Lovely and quiet and you really felt like alone in the country. Suitable distance from all nearby villages and pubs and although a bit pricey, it was peak season and well worth it and I'd love to be able to stay there again. Thanks!
Our only negative comment, and it’s not really that negative is,……be careful of the hood top over the range, the scars on my forehead will attest that cooking can be hazardous!
Lovely property well equipped beautiful open plan kitchen. Good location lovely county walks to bourbon on the water and the lamb inn good Sunday roast. Easy assess to surrounding areas. Perfect long weekend for a couple and a dog.
Great apartment in good location, liked the self check in and check out and worked well. Never no problem for parking. Lovely terrace to sip your g & t in the evening. Only one small thing, no where to store your ice cubes for my g & t.
Now visited twice, stayed at different properties. High and little barn prefect for family get aways. Very pretty accommodation with stunning views across Farringdon. Shops and pubs within 10 mins drive. World visit again
As a party of 13 (including 3 children under 10) and a dog the layout of this house and the annex suited us perfectly. It is in a very peaceful location with plenty of walks on the doorstep and the local pub about a mile away but you need a car to get to shops etc. We would thoroughly recommend this accommodation to anyone wanting to visit the Cotswolds and thank the owners for their extremely speedy response to our contact.
Booked this charming little cottage for a weekend stay when my daughter and mother in law decided to pay us a visit from Sydney. My wife and I loved our first visit to Bourton-on-the-Water, so we were so excited to find this place to stay in one of the prettiest towns in The Cotswolds. Communication was excellent leading up to the stay and no problem checking in. It's charming, cosy, well located and ideal for a couple, small family or 2 couples. We loved the welcome wine too. Would highly recommend!
The property was full of old charm, Peaceful despite on High Street and close to shops, Parking a bonus
Had an excellent stay in Stow at Digbeth Views. Right in the heart of the town, the cottage is stylish, clean, with everything we needed. The kitchen is fantastic, bathrooms clean and the rooms large and comfortable. You have to manage the parking because of it’s central location but this wasn’t a problem. Highly recommend
Great accommodation in a beautiful location. And a very responsive owner who was more than happy to help out with any queries. We’d definitely recommend to friends and family.
Ideally located for either Broadway or Chipping Camden plus Hidcote and Kiftsgate. Access to the Cotswold Way via Dovers Hill. Western Sub Edge is an interesting village in its own right though we did not get the opportunity to try out the Pub. Hopefully we will be returning.
Beautiful cottage , high spec , wonderful location , very well equipped, comfy beds …would definitely return
Beautiful setting. Great venue with everything you could possibly need for a stay away from home. Loved the fenced off garden do our dog could run around. My son really appreciated the barn with table football and table tennis. A great pub just up the road and easy access to a load of touristy adventures.(we hired a boat and went up river for a couple of hours). If I’m nitpicking, the Wi-Fi was unusable. If you advertise Wi-Fi then it should be provided with a strong enough signal to use. Luckily I’d downloaded a couple of films onto my laptop prior to the stay as I’ve experienced this before....more
Magnolia Cottage was the perfect location for our family to explore the surrounding Cotswolds. Bourton On The Water is one of the most beautiful places we have ever been in. The cottage has everything we needed for a lovely relaxing week and the garden was just perfect for our little dog
Lovely property for family get together. Good pub in village and lots to do within short driving distance.
This is our 3rd stay at The Barn so that speaks for itself. The barn itself is beautifully done has lots of space ideal for large groups. Well equipped with majority of the rooms having an en suite, plenty of wardrobe space. Kitchen/dining area is fabulous keeping everyone in one space for cooking and eating plenty of space to all muck in. Plenty of crockery to go round. The space we enjoy mostly is the outdoors patio area, very private and sunny. New furniture and BBQ have been purchased since our last visit, nice to know they are constantly updating things. Would definitely recommend.
This house was the perfect place to celebrate my birthday. Stone throw from the high st, it has an impressive open plan living space that is perfect for entertaining and celebrating. Thank you for having us. Hopefully we can come back again soon!
The apartment was exactly as advertised and furnished to an extremely high standard. Spotlessly clean, excellent beds and bedding which is always important. Despite being right in the centre of town very quiet at night. Parking a bit of a challenge but this is made clear so no surprises. Really couldn’t fault anything! My only suggestion would be regarding a welcome pack maybe? It would have been nice to have a dishcloth and maybe a few dishwasher tablets and coffee pods? A pint of milk in the fridge? But nothing that spoilt our enjoyment and will definitely be back again. Thank you
We are a family of 10 adults, a baby and 3 small dogs and Folly View was perfect. Often it is easy to find the number of bedrooms but not a living room we can all be in comfortably together. This property had a large living room which allowed all of us to sit comfortably and kitchen- diner that made meal times a joy The property is very well appointed and the kitchen utensils etc all plentiful and in very good condition. There was even a spare fridge in the boot room, and snuggle blankets in the lounge. The location was great as we weren't far from some very excellent restaurants and pubs, a...more
Great location for a visit to the Cotswolds, All you need for a pleasant stay. Quiet area just outside Bourton on the water.
Will's cottage is roomy, comfortable and lies in a quiet spot, with great views over the hilly, green countrysite of the Cotswolds. The host and hostess were very helpfull when my wife had a dental problem. It was a pleasure to hear Will tell about his farm.
We loved our weekend at Bunt Barn. There is lots of space inside and out to relax. The barn was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The setting is very beautiful and picturesque.
3 generations together for a week. We had a fabulous time. Our party consisted of 8 adults, 2 twelve month old babies and 3 nutty spaniels all of which had a great time. The lovely house was bright and spacious. Wifi was excellent - my son and his wife were able to WFH. Large utility room that easily accommodated 3 dog crates where the dogs slept and ate. We brought 4 bikes with us. The surrounding area was great for cycling. Unfortunately there was nowhere to store them. We had lovely hot weather; full sun all day for 5 days. The back of the house is in full sun with absolutely no...more
Lovely property in a great location. Also brilliant location for visiting other areas of the Cotswolds
YewTree Farmhouse surpassed our expectations It provided luxury space in an attractive rural location The outside space added further flexibilityEveryone was so happy and relaxed and we had a wonderful and memorable staycation
Our booking was for 11 people; Grandpa (myself), my three children and partners plus four young grandchildren. The accommodation was excellent with no more than two per bedroom and en-suite for everyone. The living/social area was enormous, a vast kitchen with dining space for all, two semi-open plan lounges and still more space for the children's games. The patio with a table for 12 was excellent for evenings and there was plenty of space for the children to run around safely. Parking space is also plentiful. The location is certainly secluded, surrounded by fields with the nearest dwe...more
Nice apartment. Well finished with a good amount of space. Being on the high-street it wasn’t too noisey. In the sun we loved the outdoor seating area. One thing to improve on would be it lacked some kitchen items which made cooking harder. Ie no frying pan and the oven wasn’t clean
This property was so much better than we thought - and we were already pretty impressed with the photos on the website! Everything you could need was there, children's plates and bowls for picnics, a hand liquidiser, hairdryer, iron and board, clothes hanger and pegs plus cleaning equipment just in case. The beds are super comfortable and the sheets are so soft! (Off to buy the same ones today!) The garden, hot tub and views were the icing on the cake. I especially loved the dressing area in the master room, such a wonderful touch. Walking the dog was so easy from the gate in the gard...more
We stayed here for 3 nights and would come back again. The home was clean and comfortable. You can not beat the location on Upper High Street with a quick 3-5 minute walk right into town for breakfast, shopping and dinners. Also, just steps away are many walking trails, including the Cotswold Way. We were just 3 adults, so we each had our own rooms, two with en suite bath rooms, and the downstairs bedroom had their own. Plenty of space, beautiful outdoor and charming garden to eat breakfast or enjoy throughout the day. Beds were very comfortable. I can not recommend more!
Very nice cottage, two good sized bedrooms with ensuites, which was ideal for us. Open plan accommodation was bigger than I expected and kitchen was well equipped. Nice to sit in the garden with a glass of wine and watch some of the birds.
A fantastic, beautiful, charming and authentic stay in the Cotswolds. Central location, a stones throw away from Moreton in Marsh and Stow on the Wold. We spent a week here and explored a new village every day, each one less than 30 minutes drive away. The cottage has so much character and is clean and well equipped. Yes we bumped our heads a few times but that was all part of the fun - overall we managed with a 6ft bloke and a toddler! Appreciated the thoughtful touches for children (high chair, travel cot, children's plates etc.) The village green with the little playground and the garden we...more
Had a very comfortable stay. The property was spacious and lends itself to family vacations. Nicely furnished and the kitchen has all you will need. You would need a car although there are walks directly from the property. Dog friendly - with bowls etc there should you need them.
A wonderful bit of luxury with plenty of space to relax and unwind, everything there to make it a hone from home with a thoughtfully chilled bottle of prosecco on arrival. Brilliantly situated if you wanted to ditch the car for a week as so many eateries and shops and walks on the doorstep. Finish the day in the hot tub to totally de stress
The property is excellent as it has been for our previous stays however the lack of a coffee plunger, dish washing tablets, washing up detergent, and a reasonable number of garbage bags will remain top of mind for our next holiday. Perhaps an increased cost may be a way of not interrupting our stay and ensuring we don’t have to drive some distance to the supermarket to buy items we were not expecting to have to buy. Thank you Bernard
Super barn conversion - ideal for a couple. Use of large garden and adjoining field a bonus for our dog. Only 5 minutes to A40 and 15 minutes to Burford gateway to Cotswolds. Plenty of planes overhead from Brize Norton which added to the fun of our stay - warming up for the airshow. We were very lucky with the weather so would recommend this cottage for an outdoors holiday.
The cottage had everything we could wish for in helping to make our stay comfortable. From the squishy cushions on the sofa, the fabulously beautiful decor, the scented diffusers, the super-comfy beds, the well-equipped kitchen (including a coffee-machine), a lovely little garden - and of course there’s so much to do in the area (including the pub just a 2 minute walk down the road)! Just a perfect base!
Honeysuckle house was just what was written on the tin! Great location, well arranged with everything you could wish for. We wish to thank Micki and the Cotswold Stay team for a great stay.
Beautiful part of the country. Best cottage so far, after 11 years of visiting the area. We can't get enough of the place. On the way home we say ' bye Cotswolds, see you next year.'
We enjoyed our stay at Bumble Cottage, which we found to be comfortable and very nicely modernised. We didn’t make use of the snug but imagine it would be cosy in winter. We made full use of the extended kitchen, dining, living space which we found light and airy. The beds were very comfy and plenty of hot water in the modern shower. The only downside was parking on the road, which we knew when we booked, but it was busy at times. The garden was a lovely quiet spot to relax and it was great that it was fully secure for our dog!
Benson cottage had everything we needed, the Master bedroom was beautiful and huge! Two living rooms was very luxurious and the kitchen was well equipped and furnished to a very high standard, the garden was private with nice views. The wifi was good enough for us to remote work successfully. The only negative was that the front bedrooms (the Master is at the back) were quite noisy when the traffic started early in the morning as the cottage fronts onto the road.
Booked last minute for a long weekend. The cottage was clean and absolutely lovely, great location in the centre of town. Beautiful garden and I can see how the two properties can work for 6 people, although we didn’t use peppercorn cottage. A few minor considerations it’s an old house with uneven floors and wouldn’t suit anyone who’d struggle with this, there were a few things that could do with an update, the kitchen is showing wear and tear as is some of the furniture, however not so bad that I wouldn’t visit again. The property is dog friendly and very secure for your pooch. Really enjoyed...more
It's a lovely house in a great location with plenty of crockery, glasses and cutlery. But the stay was let down by miserly supplies of liquid hand soap, toilet rolls and coat hangers. I was lucky enough to stay in the largest bedroom with 2 walls of built in wardrobes and cupboards. Across 6 wardrobes there was a total of 2 coat hangers plus 2 broken ones. In the 2 upstairs bathrooms there was about a fifth of a bottle of liquid handsoap in each bathroom for 4 days with 6 people sharing the 2 bathrooms. The overall feel of the place was it was run as a business with no warmth, no welcom...more
We had a fantastic stay at Blossom Barn. The shared courtyard and the field by the overflow parking gave plenty of space for the kids (5 and 3) to run around without travelling. However, it was also a great base for visiting various attractions - Steam Train Museum, Crocodile Farm, Cotswolds Wildlife Park, and Oxford natural history museum being a few of the best. The accomodation was comfortable and clean.
A really nice spot with great accommodation. Friendly host who made you feel welcome and ensured that you had all the essentials when you arrived.
Very nice cottage , lovely location, as everything you need. Only downside is parking not available on site. Apart from that very good indeed.
The cottage was delightful and fully equipped to cover all our needs. The AGA stove was a great addition to the kitchen. The comfort of the beds was the only thing that we found an issue with. The master bed was extremely noisy (creaking every time we moved) and the small double bed downstairs only had a 2 inch memory foam mattress which was not deep enough to protect from the wooden spars on the bed base. Overall the property was delightful.
Church Mews is located right in the centre of Painswick and very convenient for walking, resting and simply enjoying a weekend in the country. The accommodation is very well fitted out, well maintained and has everything you need. One of the double-bedrooms is a little small but is very acceptable for a short stay period.
We booked Quaint End for a week and were very much looking forward to our stay there. It would appeal to those who want a very quiet, sleepy accommodation in a rural area with charm and character. Ebrington is very pretty, with a local pub, farm shop and lovely walks and is less than a couple of miles away from Chipping Campden, which has a selection of shops and pubs. The property is quirky and cosy, with a small garden, though if you have anything other than a small car you will be best leaving on the road as entrance to the car space is tight. The kitchen has an AGA cooker meaning the t...more
Old Brewery House was a wonderfully spacious but still very cosy venue for our family reunion. The property, situated in a lovely spot in the centre of the old brewery complex, was well equipped and scrupulously clean. A lovely Victoria sponge cake was waiting for us on our arrival and Andy, the property manager was friendly and very helpful.
very pleasant stay, perfect location for exploring the area, pub meals were not so good though, on the whole very nice and would come again
We loved the cottage location, very quiet with great amenities on site. The thoughtfulness of the small details were much appreciated from clingfilm and dishwasher tablets in the kitchen, to a special towel and nappy sacks for the baby. We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed the barbecue and hot tub during our stay. The overall cleanliness and condition of the property were good. The local pubs and supermarket were excellent. Would recommend staying here.
We had a fabulous break. The barn was very tastefully decorated with plenty of seating. However we felt that a larger fridge would have been welcome as it was a tight squeeze to fit in everything for such a large party. Also some guests complained about the lack of a wardrobe in their room. Overall though fabulous accommodation. A particular joy was the courtyard garden with its lovely planting in full glory this June and generous seating areas.
We were in the middle of a difficult house sale and completion dates kept changing. We booked Fairfield cottage not only because it was very convenient but because Stay Cotswold have by far the most customer friendly booking system. We had to change dates twice but thanks to the help and cooperation of Stay Cotswold and Jaime Gould in particular , we were able to do this secure in the knowledge that we will get a full refund (minus booking fee) for the cancelled dates. This is in sharp contrast to other booking agents. I would be happy to recommend this company and would certainly use them a...more
Our stay at Orchard Cottage in Didmarton was great. The cottage was very clean and modern. We had a lot of useful communication after we booked and were kept up to date right up to the day of arrival. We found it easily using, ‘What Three Words’. Lots of information on what to do in the area and of course we drove further afield to view some lovely, quaint villages, Borton on the Water, Upper and Lower Slaughter, Castle Coombe and Stow on the Wold to name but a few. In the evening we walked around Didmarton itself. Some reviews said that the horses disturbed them but we didn’t find that at al...more
The cottage was a very nice dog friendly property within an ideal location for visiting the Cotswold and surrounding areas. Excellent wifi available if required. All in all a most relaxing holiday and well recommended to anyone. We will certainly be returning at the...more
Really lovely tiny cottage with everything you need. So pleases and happy with our three night stay here! Woodstock is a lovely market town and we fell in love with the area!
Norton cottage is very tastefully decorated -comfortable beds - very close to the town centre . There were a few minor problems with the bath taps as shower toggle is loose and water spouts all around while water is pouring and hot water is scalding . And toilet seat also loose . We did phone the number given by Staycotswolds and after no reply we left a voicemail but never had a response . Wasn’t a problem for four nights but will get worse if left unfixed . A tower fan would also have been useful in the heatwave . But a lovely house to relax in and very cosy .
Milton House is a super place for a family gathering. We were 12 adults and there was ample space with the many rooms and facilities available. The kitchen is very well equipped, there are choices of rooms in which to eat - sunny breakfast room, large dining room and we used the great garden for barbeque and evening meal. The bedrooms are spacious, comfortable beds with lovely linen. Bathrooms are good with 3 showers. Its location is situated centrally in the very pretty village and we were lucky to be there the day of the annual fete - quintessentially English! It was very easy to get to ...more

View from the master bedroom was fantastic waking up to. Secluded location off the main street so very quiet. Very close to Daylesford farm or the nearest high street supermarket is less than 10min drive away. Great base to explore the rest of the Cotswold. Only recommendation would be to update the bathroom or els...more
Only drawback was a fan noise that was very loud at night, particularly in twin bedded room. Sounded like a mighty storm enough to keep occupants awake. We couldn’t find out what or where it came from. Otherwise all good.
Colin was a great cottage for exploring the cotswolds, it was comfortable and had a great kitchen setup with everything needed. Finding parking was difficult, Burford is a busy town so spaces were often full and parking near cottage is either parallel or on a hill. It is all free however which was good. The bed and furniture were comfortable and overall I had a great solo trip away.
Excellent location, just a minute's walk from town centre. Comfortable base for cycling and walking break. All you need for a short break - shower room, microwave and plenty of plates, cups and dishes. Could do with a towel rail in the shower room though.
Lovely cottage in a nice quiet location. Kitchen very well equipped! All very clean on arrival! We especially loved the garden with free view. That garden could do with a bit more comfortable garden furniture or a bench somewhere in the sun for a more relaxed seat when weather allows. Staycotswolds and Kevin the property manager responded very quickly and accurate to all our questions. Absolutely recommend this cottage!
We had a great time and Wendle Cottage was a great place to stay. It is finished to a high specification that isn’t often seen in holiday properties. Comfortable and well equipped. We were there during a hot period in summer but it stayed nice and cool in the main living areas. Great location although if a light sleeper you may need ear plugs as road noise can be loud in main bedroom if windows open. Also be aware of what the owners state re the staircase as it is tight and steep. All in all a great stay that we’d highly recommend!
THIS BARN IS JUST THE PERFECT PLACE TO SPEND TIME WITH THE WHOLE FAMILY, 6 ADULTS, 3 CHILDREN, 1 BABY AND THE DOG ALL UNDER ONE ROOF. PERFECT!!! EVERYTHING YOU NEED IS THERE FOR YOU. THE LOCATION IS STUNNING. WE WILL DEFINATELY BE RETURNING!
A comfortable property for 4 adults, well presented and in a quiet location. However, it could be improved by fitting an over-bath shower in the bathroom and by increasing the holding of the number of cups and glasses as with 6 of each it requires either increased washing up or dishwasher cycles.
Pretty cottage with secluded garden. Well equipped. The road at the front is busy at times. Close to amenities including pubs and takeaways.
Lovely quirky cottage just a short walk from Stow centre. Bonus of allocated parking for when its busy.
The cottage is absolutely beautiful inside and out but strangely it lacks essentials. The owner has a policy to provide essentials such as toilet roll/ dishwasher tablets for the first day of your booking which means you need to go shopping or bring them with you (that's if you know that is the policy which is not stated in any of the information provided) I have never stayed in a rental that has this policy. There are absolutely no basics in the kitchen not a grain of salt/ pepper/ sugar nor a drop of oil, again not something I have ever experienced. The BBQ is a joke and totally unusable for...more
We had a wonderful stay at Miller’s Cottage, perfectly located for a few days in the Cotswolds. Our one year old dog loved the garden and surrounding walks. The village had everything we needed, with some lovely shops and pubs.
Lovely house for our family get together. The house was exceptionally well equipped and a good size for a group of 10 + baby + dog. The owner was very helpful and dealt with a couple of minor niggles promptly. Would thoroughly recommend.
The cottage was the perfect base for our four day stay in the Cotswolds. Beautifully presented, clean, tidy, comfortable and stylish. Everything was just as the information had described. Just what we needed !! :)
Lovely cottage with all modcons, great location, agent very helpful with our parking queries and we were able to leave our bags before check in time which was super helpful to us.only negative, double beds seemed to dip in the middle and the neighbour was very nosey looking in all the time, perhaps a blind on the door window would be good to ensure our privacy, but really enjoyed our stay and wld recommend, thank you.
It was just a 6 day short stay for 3 of us who were looking forward to a rest and relaxation after a harrowing time. The situation of the cottage was excellent for this part of the Cotswolds and we made the most of it during our stay. The cottage was small and quirky but welcoming and the beds were clean and comfortable. It was lovely to sit in the warm sunshine at the top of the garden and to look over the extensive countryside and fields. The cottage was easy to find and handy for all amenities.
Fabulous location and a quirky comfortable cottage for two. Immaculate and a very comfortable super king sized bed. Nice touch as provided with fresh milk and snacks. Everything you need for a self catering holiday break. Will definitely be returning when we visit the Cotswolds again!
We had a comfortable stay at Cobblers, it's in a great location and the cottage is lovely. The only minor setbacks are there is no freezer and we had brought some frozen food which then had to be binned. The other thing is the door in the main bedroom which opens on to the stairs, cannot be closed over as the bed is in the way, so it felt a tad dangerous walking past especially at night time. Perhaps not ideal for children or much older people. Other than that we had a lovely stay and would return.
Stay Cotswold and the house contacts were easy to contact and met all my requests. The house was in a beautiful spot in a local village, just missing a local shop. About 20 minutes drive from Stow on the Wold and Bourton on the Water. Beautiful welcome pack on arrival, bread cake butter wine coffee to get us started. All bedrooms were decorated nicely, twin room mattresses were not very comfortable but all other beds were great, en suite in one bedroom was a little small, useable for a petite person. Great amenities in the house and outside area,
We had a wonderful stay in Meadow Cottage, which is located in the beautiful countryside close to Oxford and the Cotswolds. The cottage is lovely decorated and has all the amenities and excellent beds. Small detail is that if you're over 170 cms the showerhead is a tad low. Would definately recommend for a stay.
We brought in the new year in this sweet cottage. Great kitchen, well equipped. Some rooms a bit low for a tall son. We situated for visiting the area.
The cottage is very pretty, with a lovely back garden, very comfortable beds, modern bathrooms, excellent showers and comfortable furnishings but a number of issues spoilt our stay. The village is certainly not peaceful, in fact the rush hour traffic starts at 5.30am., not helped by single glazed window., The farm at the rear of the property was also very noisy. The stairs are extremely steep, narrow and twisting - not made clear in the description of the property. As we are both over 70 this made life very difficult for us. The house was generally clean but there were areas where it was not: ...more
Pros The location is perfect. The cottage is on a very quiet, tranquil and pretty country lane with very little passing traffic. The garden is very private and a good size with a view of the local church to the rear of the property. Moreton on the Marsh village is only 5 minutes drive away which has lovely shops and restaurants - recommend the White Hart. There are nearby villages with some very good cafes / restaurants. Can highly recommend Blockley Cafe. Cons Whilst the property has a driveway it is only for unloading/loading?? Not sure why the driveway cannot be used to park on. ...more
