Couldn’t have wished for a better option. Stunning house in an excellent location. House was clean, comfortable and perfectly equipped. Host was friendly, helpful and knowledgable and the entire trip was smooth and everything we wished for. Excellent from start to finish.
Literally cannot fault this beautiful residence which oozes charm and character. The best things is that everything you need is already in this plush property. From fluffy towels to high end kitchenware. You will not be dissappointed.
Could not have asked for a better place to spend a week away with the family. The Stables was not only extremely comfortable, but so beautiful. There is access to a large garden with a BBQ and outdoor furniture, and its a 1 minute walk away from the river thames where you can swim/kayak/paddle board down to local pubs and inns. It's only a short drive to places like the Cotswold Wildlife Park and Blenheim Palace. Would highly recommend for a much needed getaway. We didn't want for anything!
My family and I spent the Christmas Holiday at Stonehouse and it was just perfect. The house is gorgeous and comfortable and the owners are welcoming. Location was great- nice and quiet but only a half hour drive to some lovely Cotswolds villages. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.
What a perfect little find. We loved every moment of our stay. Both our host and Staycotswolds couldn’t have been more helpful. The location was perfect and the accommodation spotless and had everything we needed. The beds were really comfortable and we will slept like babies!
Every thing from beginning to end was perfect. After the few months of lock down we could not have asked for a better holiday.
The property, the location and the host (Lucinda) are simply the best . Booked this for a week for our honeymoon and couldn’t fault it, we will definitely return.
A very lovely house souromded by wonderful views. Very good communication with company. Highly recommended!
Brook cottage was a lovely place. The cleanliness was super, the cottage super cute, we loved the location, close to oxford, close to blenheim palace and close to cotswold in all its greatness. We saw foxes, deer, rabbits and squirrels. We made lovely walks with the dogs to the Thames through fields and meadows... A good mirror in the bedroom would be nice, so lady’s can check there outfit before mr. Darcy comes for a cup of tea..
We rented the Terrace house for 3 months for a winter break. A perfect place for Xmas and New Year. The house is extremely comfortable, very well equipped and perfect for entertaining. There are many fantastic local walks and some great pubs and restaurants nearby. Fingers crossed we are lucky enough to come again.
We booked The Lodge due to lots of uncertainty around foreign travel and quarantines and decided that a stay in The Cotswolds would be the perfect answer. We were a fairly large group of 7 couples so the set up at The Lodge was perfect for us as the team onsite provide all the catering and are on hand throughout the stay should you need an assistance with anything. In the lead up to our stay Jules was wonderful in helping us to plan the occasions we were in the house for (we were celebrating a birthday). We dinned in twice and had a wonderful BBQ in the picturesque courtyard and a formal 4 cou...more
One of the best places we have ever stayed. Lovely accommodation in a peaceful setting. Easy access to surrounding towns and villages. Good food shops also close by.
Coldstream was a beautiful house for our family holiday (comfortable for 6 adults and 4 children). It was amazingly equipped, stylishly decorated and Anna was hugely helpful before and during our stay. The surrounding area was stunning and the wild garden, just a few minutes walk away, was a peaceful haven for a waterside walk. The kitchen and lounge were both large enough to seat us all and the kitchen had everything we needed for preparing and serving big family meals. All the bedrooms were really comfortable, and two of the bedrooms even created a little self-contained area on the top floor...more
My husband and I spent a very pleasant week in this lovely property . We were very impressed with the high standard of comfort and convenience. Every need was anticipated. The quiet and calm of the garden was particularly restful, situated as it was on the edge of the attractive village, overlooking meadows. Coral and John are warm, helpful hosts especially since they tolerated the visits of our boisterous grandsons with good humour and kindness. There are two very good pubs with food close by , one within walking distance and another only minutes away by car. We are definitely considering vis...more
Peaceful and relaxing for a mix of ages from teens to a 90 year old. All enjoyed a weekend at the barn.We had space and provision for extra guests for meals. The kitchen was well equipped and gave ample space for easy catering ,two fridges and freezers helped keep work to the minimum. The outside area was an attractive place sit and dine and a grassy area at the front provided space for games .A good choice for a celebration.
Pear Tree suited the 8 of us beautifully. A great location for walks and cycling not to mention the pub! The house is very comfortable with plenty of space to gather, or relax We had a couple of questions whilst there and they were addressed promptly and were very helpful.
The service provided by StayCotswold was second to none - initial enquiry 22.15, by 10.00 next day booked and confirmed. Service from Mel Green on behalf of Baldon House was very professional and welcoming, big thank you to her. Very relaxing family catch up and birthday celebration - just what we needed. House felt like home as soon as we walked through the door. Thank you for the generous "welcome basket". Garden space is phenomenal, we made great use of it, so many different games/sports played by all.
Good location for visiting any part of The Cotswolds. Large house with good sized rooms and excellent outdoor space for games particularly croquet (equipment provided, also badminton). Kitchen dinning area well laid out and lovely and sunny in the mornings. Slight noise from the work that had to be done outside towards the end of our stay but didn't really impact on us. Had more of an issue with visitors to the brewery and walkers wandering down our side of the driveway. More than happy to be next to a working brewery but maybe better direction for visitors? We did have a lovely week and ...more
The barn was beautiful and comfortable in a gorgeous setting. It was a great stay and we’d definitely go back.
The barn was lovely and peaceful but not quite sure when an adjacent barn for 10 is occupied, if it would be as peaceful! There are only spaces for 5 cars so when we came back one evening, there was no space for us. Identifying one space for each barn would be helpful. Also I had always thought a clean was included in the charges but £98 is charged for the final clean in addition to the rental. For a 4 night stay this seemed a lot! However we had a really good break and the location is central for several National Trust properties, The William Morris Museum (when restored) and of course Oxford...more
A lovely recently refurbished cottage done to a high standard. It’s is located in the grounds of the owners property but has its own garden which is walled off from the owners house. There is some garden furniture and cushions for the garden furniture is kept in the cottage. Ideal location for exploring the southern Cotswolds. The cottage is off the beaten track but only a few minutes drive to the main road. Very close to one of the Cotswolds most visited villages, Bibury. Less well known and also very pretty villages nearby.
We had an amazing time, the cottage was beautifully and comfortably furnished. it was superbly equipped. We all loved it and look forward to our next stay
We loved this house, & it was perfect for a large family gathering - two cosy living areas which suited teens and oldies, tastefully-designed rooms and comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen and a stone's throw from the pub and the village shop, There was even a decorated Christmas tree, to make it even more welcoming. On the negative side - it would have helped to have an extending dining table or a side table - it was just a tad too short for a festive meal, with not a lot of table space for vegetables. And the oven - it's just too small, so cooking for a group needs careful planning, and ...more
This was long awaited as should have been a Golden Wedding celebration in March. Good time had by all.
Perfect location, facilities clean and well prepared, easy and clear communication with the customer service
Stayed at the Ivy for one week. A lovely cottage on the border of Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds. Cottage was lovely and ideal for guests it’s dogs as there is immediate access to fields to allow the fur child’s to run free. Only negative is you are in close proximity to the other properties so privacy can be a little bit of an issue. Recent pictures on website do not show the placement of the Shephards Hut. Owners are growing new hedgerows which I’ll improve this in the future. Apart from that, no faults with the cottage at all.
My sister had stayed in Punch before, so when a family member needed us close by it was the perfect property to feel relaxed and happy in. Light, airy, well equipped and in a beautiful hamlet with plenty of walking nearby, which was lovely in early mornings. Everything you need and huge bedrooms with very comfortable beds. Home from home but with a hint of luxury.
We enjoyed our stay. All very clean, pleasant surroundings, quiet. Our suggestion to dishwash a selection of crockery and cutlery in advance of our arrival was taken up, for which we were grateful, as one of us is in the Clinically Extremely Vulnerable category for Covid. Just a few niggles - - The fridge needs adjusting - our lettuce froze in the salad drawer! Some utensils, e.g. vegetable peelers, were almost useless. Some instruction leaflets were present, but they were not for the equipment fitted! In these Covid times, we feel that landlords should expect that hirers will really wi...more
We stayed at Fairfield Cottage in the beautiful village of Quenington over the New Year period. A delightful cottage which suited our needs perfectly. Excellent service provided by everyone at StayCotswold .
This property is a great location for exploring Cotswolds; and it is very convenient to have a grocery store and a cafe within 1min walking distance. It has all the amenities (though frying pans should be replaced asap) and supplies and benefits from the huge garden. The customer service by StayCotswolds was great and prompt: they really reacted quickly and willingly to our requests. The property itself was ok but next time we will choose smth different for the following reasons: it is located next to quite a busy road (so you hear all the traffic); the 1st floor master bedroom has low ceiling...more
We had a lovely stay at Owl Barn - it was a great week, full of activities and leisure! There are lovely walks and cycle rides straight from the property and loads to do within a relatively short drive away. We were with teenage kids and there was a lot in the vicinity to keep them entertained! The barn was really great - the open plan space was good for eating and lounging around. The bedrooms were nicely spaced apart and the kitchen is very well equipped.
What an absolute gem! Honey cottage is an idyllic getaway for anyone!! The cottage is immaculate, the bed is a dream and everything is luxurious....we really didn’t want to leave! We’ll definitely be back!!
We spent a wonderful pre-Christmas weekend with our children and grandchildren in this very comfortable and atmospheric cottage. It was very well-equipped with a wonderfully practical kitchen which enabled us to cook a celebratory meal for us all and very comfortable lounge where we were able to enjoy an evening of charades in front of a roaring fire! We explored the quintessentially Cotswold village of Filkins and ended our weekend with a wonderful lunch at the Five Alls pub which has a well-deserved great reputation and was only 5 minutes walk from the cottage. The booking procedure was very...more
