I have just had the best holiday ever, The Glen is beautiful, so clean, a welcome pack was left for us, we couldn’t stop saying wow, all rooms were en-suite which was perfect for us, it was so quiet and peaceful in the large garden, there were deck chairs and a bbq in the shed, the kitchen wanted for nothing brilliant large fridge and a freezer, great cooker and so many pots and pans, the beds were so comfy I took photos so I could buyone for home, the quaintness was what we like in a cottage 100% satisfied with every thing, I can highly recommend it and would go again, the walks round the vil...more
We really enjoyed our stay in this very tastfully decorated cottage. Tetbury has so much to offer and we will certainly be visiting again.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lower Barn. The house was very clean and had a lovely modern and cosy vibe. It was spacious for the two of us and our dog and well located in a quiet spot just set back from the high street. It’s a short drive away from nearby villages like Moreton-in-the-Marsh and Stow-in-the-Wold etc. We were able to go on two very long dog walks without needing to take the car so it’s in a great position if you like walking. The car parking space was a huge benefit, albeit in a very tight spot, and everything we needed was provided in the kitchen.
Combe House is a superb base to explore the Cotswolds, perfectly situated in the charming village of Winchcombe which has plenty of independent shops and fantastic pubs (the Lion Inn Sunday roast was a highlight!). The house itself is exquisite, with lovely furnishing and details that feel like you are staying at the house of a very stylish friend, far from a traditional rental property. There are crisp white sheets on comfortable beds, plus a well equipped kitchen, powerful showers, and a stunning garden and patio perfect for sitting out. We stayed with our children (aged 5 and 2) a...more
Me and my new wife came here for a few days after our wedding and we was both blown away with this property as soon as we walked through the door. Clean, fresh, brilliant location and lots of nice little touches around the property. I would 100% recommend this as a place to stay. Ant
We had a lovely holiday staying at upper barn chipping Norton. The house is lovely and had a good feeling when we arrived. The decor is welcoming and has everything you need for your stay. The beds are very comfortable. The utility room was very handy with a bathroom and washer/dryer. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.
Lovely cottage - very well equipped and nicely located for exploring. We loved the walks from the doorstep. It was a little dark inside due to the small windows. Had everything that we needed but the microwave was in a small cupboard high up. This is seriously unsafe and only our six foot son could safely use and reach it. We highly recommend that this is removed from the cupboard asap and place on a surface.
What an amazing house, garden and location. We had a great time here with six adults and 4 children. Loads of space, lots to do and well stocked house. We will definitely be back!
We had the most amazing stay in the hydrenga cottage. It was clean, comfortable, and came with lovely views. The host David was very helpful and only a text message away. The hot tub is glorious and gets a perfect view of the sun set. Will definitely be booking this again. Thanks David for your impeccable hospitality!
We had a wonderful stay at Fox cottage. Top marks for cleanliness and extremely comfortable beds. Jennie and Mark were most welcoming and very friendly. Although we were staying on a farm we did not hear any noise from the farm machinery. We loved sitting out on the garden furniture every evening and watching the sun setting across the open fields. There is a footpath from the farm which takes you to nearby villages of Spelsbury and Charlbury. Fox is in a really good location for visiting Cotswold villages and other attractions. We would thoroughly recommend a stay at Fox cottage and hope we w...more
We stayed for one week in Smuggdbarn Cottage with our kids and our dog. The Cottage is very well prepared for traveling with a dog, especially with an own dog shower and gates at the stairs that prevents the dog from going in the upper floors. The living rooms are really nice with all you need for quite evenings or games for the kids. We really loved to stay at the cottage and we. An fully recommend Smuggsbarn Cottage.
Beautiful spot and lovely host, we had a lovely stay and was made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived, peaceful and relaxed area with a hot tub positioned on the edge of woodlands , we had a fabulous time thanks again !
The owners of this place outdid themselves. First of all, the interior design is *really beautiful* while also being so, so cozy. But on top of that, it was also sparkling clean, fully stocked with all the appliances and equipment you might need and filled with small touches that made it "so good to be home" every time we entered it. This flat is also in the perfect location - right on the high street, so if you're walking like we were, you're in the middle of everything. Highly recommend.
We stayed at Little Barford Mill as a group of 7 adults for our annual get together. Booking with StayCotswolds was easy, and the portal was great to upload all the information needed. There was plenty of information about the cottage online and was surprised for such detailed directions providing we had a what3words, postcode and written instructions. First impressions of the cottage were great, we were concerned we were driving through private property when going through the farm, but on asking for directions found that they were extremely friendly and helpful. We found the location ...more
The accommodation was of a very high standard and beautifully furnished and presented. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and everything one could have wished for was provided. Church End's central location meant that local shops and restaurants, etc were within easy walking distance. Broadway was ideal as a centre from which to explore the Cotswolds by car. Our thanks to the owners for the welcome pack which was much appreciated. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Church End and were sad to leave.
We booked Ridge barn for a family holiday, totaling 8 people. This place was fantastic. The pictures don't do it justice. There is significant space, great sized rooms, comfy beds and is equipped with everything to ensure you can holiday 'in' or 'out'. The location for us was perfect. You feel in the middle of no where, but a 10 min drive gets you to a small village shop which is well stocked. Driving is essential for this place. The owners were lovely, greeting us with fresh coffee and shortbread upon arrival, and dropping by a basket of apples from their orchid mid holiday. I would typic...more
If you’re looking for the Real Deal in the Cotswolds, this is your kind of place. Spacious, quirky, charming and clean — hard to beat. The location is handy to most shops and cafes without being crowded. We’d love to return!! Highly recommended!!
Had such a lovely break at Cotswold View, very peaceful location with the bonus of a hot tub. The property was very clean and very comfortable, well maintain by owners David and Natty who were very friendly and on hand if needed. Privacy was maintained. Very much enjoyed our break will definitely be booking again.
My friends and I stayed for three nights at this lovely cottage. It was the perfect location, close to town which enabled us to meet up with friends that live in the area. The cottage has everything you need for a nice break away; the beds were comfortable, kitchen well planned and a relaxing dining and living area. I’ll definitely book this place again.
We had a lovely break at Slade Stables. It is in a peaceful and quiet location and within easy reach of Stow on the Wold, Moreton in Marsh and Broadway. Jane, the owner was extremely helpful in suggesting places to visit. The property was spotless and has all the amenities one needs. The welcome basket was delightful and Jane had left fresh flowers which all added to our enjoyment. We would certainly recommend the property to anyone taking a holiday in the north Cotswolds.
Host was friendly, Nice cottage, Good facilities, We all enjoy our break. ………………………………………………..…………..
Wonderful in every way. Comfortable and kitted out with anything you could possibly need for a fabulous holiday..we loved Twigs..we should have spent more time relaxing in the fabulous garden..but lots to see in the Cotswolds area too..
We have stayed a week in Wood cottage for exploring the Cotswolds. The cottage was perfect with al the comfort en cleanliness you want. There isn’t always place for the car near the cottage but that’s not a problem; nearby there is enough parking space. However the cottage is dog friendly and with an allergy for dog and hair fur, your lungs and nose could react. But overall a perfect place for a perfect stay with enough possibillity for walks ans eventing strolls!!
Absolutely stunning views. Very clean and easy to find. Great facilities that can be used on site. Garden was great for my dog couldn’t fault the location. Would recommend to anyone!
This was my fourth time staying at The Trinity and it was as clean and comfy as before. The location is great and it’s so much nicer than staying in a hotel - so much space! Will no doubt be back!
Three generations of our family had a wonderful stay at The Old Post Office. Loads of space for everyone to spread out and well-equipped in all aspects from kitchen equipment to games for all ages. Ilmington is a great village - two contrasting pubs, a village shop and a large children’s play area were all appreciated. Good walks from the front door and local NT properties to visit. We struggled a bit for showers! One ensuite has a shower and the other does not (we knew this before we booked), but the shower attachment in the family bathroom was only handheld despite the photos on the website ...more
Best holiday home I’ve ever stayed in, beautiful location, spotlessly clean, gorgeous interiors and excellent communications
The cottage was perfect and had everything we needed. It was very tastefully decorated and was in a great location. The owner was very helpful and responsive with my requests prior to staying. I would definitely return.
This is a really lovely house - extremely well-equipped, beautifully furnished and with a nice little garden. There is some traffic noise at night from the road (we did have the window wide open) but the location is perfect for the village shops and pubs and the beds were so comfy that we all slept well. The arrangements for checking in were excellent, clear and most helpful - suggestions for a second car parking place, ideas for places to visit etc. The kitchen was seriously well-equipped and there were plenty of basics provided. We would have gladly stayed on for a few days more and agreed w...more
We needed accommodation for seven to celebrate our daughter’s 40th birthday and this property which is two linked was perfect. Property finished to a high standard and bathrooms were lovely. We would have liked two ovens but managed with one and kitchen was otherwise excellent. Plenty of crockery and cutlery. Outside area ideal although extra sun beds would have been useful if weather better.
Beautiful location, lodge, hot tub & view in a peaceful area. Fab base to explore The Cotswolds. Dave on hand at all times. Fantastic pub, The Fleece Inn just a 10min walk. Only minor disappointment was the oven didn’t work but there was a microwave. Would definitely recommend and return again.
Primrose cottage is lovely. Well positioned for walks and pubs! Comfortable apart from the double bed at the back of the house - two adults with backache now!!!! But well equipped, warm and cosy
A pleasant place, we had no 'furrowed brows' at this delightfully converted Barn! Friendly owners, comfortable accommodation.Glad we chose Furrow Barn.
Thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing break - scenery is breathtaking and location so quiet - perfect for getting away from it all.
I cannot recommend this beautiful accommodation enough. It was immaculate and so cosy, nestled in the main high st In Cirencester. Facilities were perfect and so inviting. Everywhere was in easy reach from there and just a short walk to bars and restaurants after a day exploring the outer villages. Please do not be put off by the nearby pub as once inside you will not hear the music nor people. Would highly recommend and will use again for another trip.
We had a fantastic stay, everything was as expected. Lovely cottage, nice hosts with some good tips.
Knoll Cottage is very comfortable, cozy and warm, loved staying there, visiting family in the area. One thing, the cottage was very well equipped with everything, didn't have any problems with anything but I would have liked an outside washing line or drying rack. Would have been handy because of the hot weather. I didn't come by car, a bit difficult staying here but managed perfectly by using the bus and train instead to several interesting places. Did my shopping in the lovely local shop, having a coffee there as well and often my family drove me around too. I enjoyed the garden and also too...more
Honeysuckle Cottage is a cosy cottage in a quiet lane. It has a comfortable sitting room and a well kitted out kitchen. The bedrooms are welcoming and the beds comfortable. Loved the walk-in shower in the bathroom. The cottage is well positioned in the attractive village of Blockley and there is easy access to the walking trails, Heart of England and Monarch’s Way, which take you to Batsford and Morton in Marsh.
This is a lovely cottage. We've stayed in many cottages in Chipping Campden over the years and Keeley Cottage is definitely up there with our favourites. As other reviewers have pointed out, the main bedroom REALLY needs blackout blinds or at the very least curtains. The room is incredibly bright in the morning. That aside, it's a lovely place to stay and enjoy a wonderful part of the world.
As long as you don’t need a garden -The Brewery is a lovely home located in the heart of Burford. It’s a special place to enjoy the Cotswolds.
Excellent property. Clean. Tidy. Comfortable. Great location for us. It's our 3rd time here We hope to see you again soon.
We had a great stay in Vine Cottage. Not only is it in a great location with lots of bars and places to eat nearby, but the cottage itself is beautiful with everything you could need.
We enjoyed a weekend at Spring Cottage in September 2023 and had a lovely time. It is a very pretty house, fitted to a very high standard in a beautiful village. The weather was extremely hot during our visit so the lovely garden was invaluable! There is a great pub in the village and plenty to do in the local area. Thoroughly recommend.
We found the cottage very clean and tidy it had everything you needed for a stay plenty of information for walks car trips and the surrounding areas a beautiful garden to enjoy the sunshine kitchen was a delight as was the upstairs bathroom all in all excellent throughout
We had a lovely stay at High & Little Barns. The hut tub and the games barn added to our enjoyment and Little Barn was better than we thought, the teenagers in our group loved it! The only little thing we really wanted to comment on is the showers upstairs tended to flood very quickly, which meant the floors got wet.
We stayed with our 13 year old daughter for a long weekend. Nice cottage, only a couple of very minor niggles that didn’t affect our stay - the cottage is very nice but we felt smelt a little musty downstairs (especially in the kitchen/utility area, although it’s an old house so maybe to be expected) Also, we would have preferred full size bath towels, rather than the smallish ones that the cottage provides, but these are very minor points that wouldn’t put us off staying again. Overall we had a lovely stay and would recommend
Very high standard in this beautiful house. Centrally situated with lovely garden. Everything we needed for a perfect family reunion.
We took part of our family vacation here and travelled from the US. The house was beautiful and it’s all newly remodeled on the inside. The location is peaceful. It’s in a beautiful place but you will likely need a car to get around (that goes for most of the Cotswolds). We found the Waitrose grocery store in Banbury to be nice; It’s about 15 minutes away from this vacation rental. Chipping Norton is also close and has a really nice Caffe Nero coffee shop. If you are looking to unwind, this is a good option and a great value for your money.
We had a wonderful week. The weather was glorious so we sat out aplenty on the lovely patio. Garden furniture was great and the dog was safe as he wandered round...very peaceful and lovely views. Everything about the house was very good, nothing to complain about. We have stayed in some beautiful cottages over the years and Perry Cottage has been added to the list.
A very comfortable, cosy apartment in a great but quiet location. The accommodation is all in one room with a large separate shower room upstairs but is well equipped and had everything we needed for a 5 day stay. The location is fantastic, being only a few minutes walk to the centre of Stow on the Wold and it’s proximity to the Fosse Way and having your own parking space makes travelling around the area very easy. Everywhere we visited was no more than half an hour from the apartment. We loved it!
Fabulous apartment, clean and tidy, enough equipped for making breakfast, needed more for cooking tea etc. Maybe a better explanation, of how to enter the building, I.E key fob. Overall would highly recommend The Nook.
Folly View proved to be a perfect property for our reunion. Clean, spacious and comfortable. Every need was catered for.
Perfect in every way for our long, special Birthday weekend. The Barn was everything we could have wished for and more.!!
A beautifully decorated cottage with everything we needed. The cottage is very clean and comfortable, with lovely restaurants, cafes and shops close by.
6 of us had a great stay - house was lovely and had everything we needed. Carpenters pub was lovely & close with good food
Very nice cottage perfect for what we needed and in a fantastic location, would definitely recommend
My daughter and I stayed here for a birthday treat and it is a fabulous property, right in the centre of Stow. Everything you could possibly want is on your doorstep and also close to other villages and attractions. Very spacious and comfortable property, and it also felt very secure being in the enclosed courtyard overnight. Great communication from StayCotswold. We will definitely book again!
We had a great holiday at Honeystone Cottage. The location was very convenient to all the places we planned to visit. Great food at the local pub.
Fabulous cottage, amazing facilities for a group of 11. Peaceful location, with some lovely walks within easy reach. Very high standard.
We had only 3 days at the Shepherds Hut, so we have to come back. Really nice stay there! A big thank you to Julia and Ian! If you want to explore Cotswold, take this hut!
Wonderful place to stay providing you have a car as there are no regular transport links and taxis are hard to get and expensive. Having arrived at Kingham Station my husband and I were forced to walk the mile or so to the pub in Kingham (in the rain) as it proved impossible to secure a taxi. Our friends were then able to pick us up later to go to Corner House Barn. The accommodation was beautiful and the beds in particular were extremely comfortable. We enjoyed eating twice at The Chequers pub which is only a few minutes walk away and were warmly welcomed. We had morning coffee once and a g...more
We had a lovely stay and the house worked very well for everybody. Whilst understanding that the property is an old farmhouse, there were several banged heads on the low beams in particular the white beam between the kitchen and the small extension at the back. We believe that this should be highlighted so that it stands out. It would have been helpful to have had instructions on kitchen appliances in particular the coffee machine.
I would suggest you book through Airbnb rather than direct with StayCotswold. Reason being the deposit. An extra £150 taken shortly before the stay if booked directly and not returned until a week after the stay. That doesn’t occur on Airbnb even though it’s through StayCotwold. Now stayed 3x and I would happily buy the place. An absolutely perfect location for us being just over an hour away from home.
It was absolutely lovely to stay in this lovely, comfortable, and walkable cottage, with off-street parking. The hosts stopped by and introduced themselves and they were so kind. The garden was a great place to be and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay!
We had a great stay at the cottage and location was perfect. We got to see all the places we want to go and all the facilities worked with no issues.
Really spacious accommodation-clean really well equipped. Absolutely perfect for a family gathering. Would love to visit again
The cottage is beautiful; comfortable and clean and very well equipped. A pretty garden. Lovely village. Good pub in walking distance. Thank you.
An excellent apartment, centrally located for visiting various places in the Cotswold, with fine walking opportunities. Stow-on-the-Wold is a touristy but nice village. Parking options at the apartment are somewhat limited, mainly paid parking with a maximum of 2 hours. However, a nice resident of Stow pointed us to a free alternative 5 minutes walk from the apartment. The apartment is recommended and is certainly suitable for us - visitors from the Netherlands - for a next holiday.
We had an amazing 3 day break at Alstroemeria, the owners couldn't have been more helpful and the accomodation was very clean and comfortable. We loved the hot tub and the location to Stratford upon Avon and Broadway were fantastic. Would definitely recommend to family and friends, but they also have 4 lodges with great views of the cotswold hills, with hot tubs.
What to say about the most perfect holiday? Beautiful house in a stunning location. Lovely and peaceful. Can't wait to visit again.
This place is AMAZING. The hottub was perfect. The scenery of the fields is incredible and both David and his wife are excellent hosts. We are surprised of how well this long weekend was. Definitely will return.
We stayed at the haven from Tuesday to Friday. The accommodation is very spacious and well decorated. The kitchen is well equipped plus its location is right in the centre of Chipping Norton is ideal. It is close to Blenheim Palace and Didley Squat! It is very handy for places to eat and also a small local cinema (only 40 seats that includes two seater sofas!). The steps to access the property are narrow with a turn and VERY steep. In my opinion, anyone with a mobility issue would struggle to be able to make the climb. There is a small patio area by the front door (which can be split like a s...more
We had a fantastic time staying at Stonewell Farmhouse for a birthday celebration. We were a mixture of adults and children and the facilities were excellent for both. It is incredibly well maintained and everything you might need is supplied, from kitchen utensils to tea, coffee and some excellent cakes. We would absolutely recommend the property for a group looking for somewhere to stay, the hot tub is a great addition and the BBQ is top class. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would love to come again.
Hill Top House was amazing. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils so no need to take anything. The furnishings were of an excellent standard. It was a total luxurious stay so much so that I have recommended it to friends and would not hesitate to return. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer.
Loved it! So convenient and practical with the perfect sense of Hygge. Beautifully done up. Nothing we were missing!
Excellent house and surroundings. This was our 5 time we stayed here. Very comfortabel house with everything you need, it feels like coming back home each year.

Ideally situated on the square, right in the middle of everything, but totally peaceful . The Staircase was really comfortable and very clean. Very well equipped and very good quality pots, pans. The only one thing I would recommend would be to have some curtains or blinds in the sitting area. Wonderful stay. Would definitely go back again.
The tastefully decorated cottage is in a quiet road , within a short , up hill walk to Woodstock , with its pleasant restaurants, cafes, and welcoming pubs. It is very well equipped and the welcome hamper was a nice surprise. The communication was excellent and the photos of the property are very accurate. We enjoyed our week’s stay there and would definitely recommend it. The recent parking issue is a downside. Ok if you want to leave the car , in the unrestricted roads ,and use the efficient bus service. But a nuisance if you want to explore further afield ,as parking is at a premium . ...more
Fantastic cottage. The cottage itself is well kitted out and everything was very clean and fresh with excellent quality bed linen, towels etc. A lovely touch was a welcome cake. Having en-suites to all three bedrooms made it much easier on a multi generational family break, as did having a ‘TV’ room and another sitting room. The location is great - quite rural for walks, but within easy reach of Stratford-upon-Avon and beautiful Cotswold villages. We also met some lovely, welcoming neighbours. We are checking calendars to see when we can re-visit!
Stayed in Bag End and Peppercorn cottage for 6 days as a family of 4 with our dog. The cottage is in the perfect location, literally 1-min walk to town and access to shops, cafes and restaurants. Bag end cottage was perfect for us, lots of dining space, cosy living room and good sized bedrooms. We also made use of Peppercorn cottage which is a lovely cottage annexe across a beautiful courtyard and was perfect for one of the family to get away with her own space. The courtyard also has a lovely dining area, although we only used it once with some late evening sun. Owners provided everything ...more
Very comfortable and easy to access cottage. Perfect for our short stay with our 2 year old. Excellent amenities
This accommodation is wonderful for a family. The river at the back and amount of space is wonderful. Beds extremely comfortable and all rooms well equipped. We will stay again when in the Cotswolds. Thanks!
Excellent accommodation & spotlessly clean. Very good location as close to lots of lovely places to visit.
Fantastic stay at Star Cottage What a lovely home from home with many thoughtful touches - especially the robes and coffee machine with pods! We would recommend a visit to Stow on the Wold to Lucy’s Tearoom for a cream tea and to Jeremy Clarkson’s infamous Diddly Squat farm shop. In the evenings, we had great meals at the Black Bear (Moreton in Marsh), the Kings Head (Bledington) and the Red Lion (Long Compton) which were all dog friendly with lovely food. The cottage is perfectly situated to visit the best that the Cotswolds has to offer - a real star! Thank you,
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The interior decoration was really tastefully done. With lovely high ceilings and spacious rooms. We particularly appreciated the items left for our arrival milk, eggs, butter and fresh orange. The location is great, with parking being a great added bonus. We would definitely recommend the Huntington Courtyard.
Thoroughly enjoyed our time! The property was perfect and in a good location. It had all the facilities you would need and was easy to find. I would highly recommend!
Orchard cottage was very clean, cosy and in a lovely location. This cottage is the ideal getaway, the garden and views whilst sitting relaxing after a days exploring the Cotswolds, was absolutely perfect. The cottages facilities for cooking ensured after a long day we didn't have to venture out for food and the recent refurbishment meant our stay was relaxing. There was also the added bonus of beautiful gardens to view and horses, both in the fields adjacent to the cottage and stable yard, perfect for horse lovers. The information given prior to arrival ensured we arrived without a...more
We had a short stay and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hot tub was a great hit with all the family especially the grandchildren. A great place to stay.
We had an enjoyable stay at Church Mews. We found it a bit claustrophobic because the bedrooms had no windows and the heat that week was intense. Otherwise all good
A lovely comfortable cottage with all you need for a cosy stay, felt very cosy and would 100% recommend.
A really lovely cottage in a central location for visiting the Cotswolds. The owners have made this a real home from home and have thought of everything. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thank you.
This was a lovely property, well kitted out and in a good location. It was dog friendly which is important for us and there were nice touches including treats for the dog. Our only criticism is that on an extremely hot weekend only one window opened (barely) and it was so uncomfortable at night we went home early. I realise that we don’t often get weather like this but windows should open for ventilation with a grid across as with the space above the back door. Otherwise a very nice stay.
The Old Candle Shop is located in one of the most beautiful parts of the country , all areas of the Cotswold are a short drive away and would highly recommend seeing as much as you can . The old Candle Shop is amazing it is roomie and well-presented and the of street parking is a bonus . The outside area is also good with a hot tub that is not over looked , i must say though that the only down side are a few of the food eateries we had a few poor meals/takeaways the stone bake pizza place was not that great and Ask Italia also not great having said that it did not spoil our stay i must recomm...more
Very comfortable stay in a lovely location, within easy reach of beautiful Cotswold hotspots. Pint of milk in the fridge was a welcome gesture although a freezer compartment in the fridge would have been perfection. Bath robes provided was a nice touch- could have done with a hook on the bedroom door to hang them on. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others.
Lovely cottage that is well equipped. The beds were very comfortable though we did ask for one to be made as 2 singles and that did not happen.
this is a lovely apartment, in a great location! there was a problem parking, as i had to park a 10 min walk away! church clock bells ringing hourly through the night was annoying, but stow and surrounding area are lovely!
Goodlake Barns was a brilliant stay for a large family get together - the cottages, barn, hub and paddock were perfect. Beds were particularly comfortable, and the spec and kit-out of each property was high standard. The properties weren't as clean as good have been - with post-it notes of previous occupants on the doors, and left over biscuits. The pergola easily moved which wasn't ideal with children. Other than these two issues, the stay was fantastic and would recommend.
Lovely property throughout. Good location. We would return for another stay. Great for family get together and the adjacent properties looked lovely too.
A group of friends spent a very pleasant long weekend exploring the Cotswolds, enhanced by the glorious weather. The house is in a great location, spacious, very comfortable and well equipped. A nice touch to have a cake and some complimentary beers on arrival. The house needs a little TLC - touch up the paintwork, clean the stair carpet, outside doors need varnishing and there needs to be a more visible sign at the entrance. However, overall we had a great time and would recommend the house to others. Thank you.
Magnolia Cottage was a delightful base for our holiday. Its a real home from home and very well placed for visiting the Cotswolds. Would happily stay again!
The location of the cottage was excellent right in the centre, it was comfortable and well appointed. Externally it needs a bit of TLC and is looking a bit tired. The front and rear gardens need attention. Noise from the pub beer garden across the road was a bit intrusive as was the commercial extractor from the Chinese takeaway next door. This was particularly problematic as the extractor started at 12 noon until 1am. Enjoyment of the garden was spoilt due to the excessive noise and the cooking smells. Even with the bedroom window closed the noise could be heard from inside the cottage.
Lovely, cosy cottage, perfect location, parking very convenient, really enjoyed our stay. Only negatives were that surfaces in the kitchen were a bit sticky and the bathroom door didn’t latch closed - minor issues though and they did not detract.
This is a spa ious 2 bedroom apartment. All rooms are big and it’s perfect for 4 people. Facilities excellent, great location in the town centre. Very comfortable all round especially the beds.
Stunning cottage in a stunning village will definitely return to this property. We were very lucky and had a fabulous week of hot weather. The place had all the things you need to cook some lovely food, we also went to the white lion for Sunday lunch which was pricey but lovely also recommend the Indian restaurant and we love the Chinese take away for a good value treat. Winchcombe is such a pretty place and so nice it’s quieter than Broadway and burton on water which we just visited for the day but we’re happy to come back to a slower more laid back village.
We loved it. The building was full of character in a really quiet location. There was plenty of room for 7 of us, including 1 infant. We will definitely book again. There were a couple of odd things missing in the kitchen, spatulas etc and the speaker didn’t seem to work, but we managed. I would also look at some of the other barns on the site as they seemed to have designated outdoor spaces. Overall we loved it and would highly recommend!
We were a family party including a 7 month old baby, a 6 year old child and 3 couples. The location was great and the cottage very nicely appointed. The garden was stunning and lovely to spend time in. The wifi was good but it needed resetting very frequently. In terms of equipment, it would be useful to have a sieve or colander to drain vegetables, pasta/rice. It could also do with a more secure base for the parasol as the wind was easily able to blow the parasol out of the shallow stand under the table which was a bit disconcerting when it happened. All in all it was a great place for u...more
Loved our weekend in this cottage. Great location - just a few steps and you can be in a pub, restaurant or quirky shop. We’d very happily return but feel it’s really suited to 4 adults as although it sleeps 6 only 4 people can easily sit together in the lounge to chat or watch TV due to the furniture layout.
We had an amazing time at the cottage, which is really charming, such as the garden. It is located in a hamlet which is very peaceful and very well located. We had everything we needed in the cottage and Kevin was very welcoming and of good advice. Probably the best place of our two-week road trip and if we come back to the Cotswolds we will try to book the cottage again.
Fantastically beautiful and clean appartment in a top location. The host, Cheryl was very Nice and helpful
Everything you could want as a base for exploring! Comfortable beds, hot shower with good pressure, spacious living/socialising area for relaxing at the end of the day, and super peaceful at night. Plus only a few minutes drive to Bourton and 15 minutes to Stow makes it a great location. We were 5 adults (well 4 and an 18 year old), and still found the cottage to have tons of space. Just mind your head if you're on the taller side :)
A large house providing a get together for a group of friends. The house has six double bedrooms, over two floors, each floor having one bathroom, with another on the ground floor. All didn’t have any locks, bizarre, so make sure everyone knows this! The stairs are smaller than normal and steeper, so not ideal for all age groups. The location is good for the Cotswolds and the village pub, a 200m walk away is excellent. On street parking, which caused no issues.
Wonderful 17th century building, very comfortable and right in the heart of Bourton. Perfect stay for us, 7 nights and ventured out from here most days. Thank you to the Host for letting us stay in middle gable. A real treat.
Lovely family home with everything you need for a long weekend stay. Beds are comfortable and location is quiet. Kids loved the games that were provided. Only negative is that the home is slightly further out of time than I thought so you have to have a car.
We had a lovely stay in this beautiful cottage which is full of character, original features, low beams and wonky floors. We chose this cottage because we wanted a dog friendly garden, in a peaceful location and this didn't disappoint. The enclosed good size back garden was a great place for our Jack Russell to run around and play ball. It does have a small escape route (by the power point at the end of the garden) but this wasn't a problem for us. We were lucky enough to have a mini heatwave when we stayed, so made the most of the sun trap at the end of the garden each evening, and we'r...more
An ideal location for a getaway to the countryside from city life. Good access to several walking trails with many good pubs serving high-quality food. It was a bit difficult to find the key to the location with misleading information printed on the information sheet. It took 4 telephone calls to get someone on the phone to guide us to the right place in the evening of arrival. The accommodation which is new was very clean with a spacious living-dining-kitchen area but the bedrooms were pretty small but spacious enough for a double bed with minimum facilities. The bathrooms were clean but w...more
We had a lovely stay at the Old Brewery. We were two families and there was loads of room for us all. Working out the ever hot oven took us a while but the instructions were there! All rooms are en suite and the sitting areas are comfy. The beer drinkers among us were happy to find some free beer from the brewery left for us with the option to buy more if we wanted to. The car charger was very convenient and efficient. Andy was very friendly and helpful with any info before and during our stay.
We chose this stay as its very close (20 minutes) from RAF Fairford, we were in the area for the air tattoo. We stayed a few extra days to explore the area. Blossom Barn was very tidy and very comfortable with quiet neighbours. Check in and out was a breeze and finding the location was easy. Value for money cannot be beaten, especially during the hight of summer and on the air tattoo weekend.
Absolutely loved Kingfisher Barn, it was so spacious, beautifully decorated & the outside seating & dining area was superb, couldn’t fault that. However there were a couple of niggles, as previous reviews have stated & I would have hoped the owners would have rectified this by now, the fridge was far too small for food for a family of 12 for the weekend, it either needs to be replaced or a second fridge installed. Also the toilet paper was so thin it lasted about a day, with the price you pay, what’s wrong with Andrex! Overall though this is a superb place to stay.
Thoroughly enjoyed our last minute booking. The customer service was very friendly and patiently answered every question. The booking emails and checkin info email and details arrived promptly. Best is the text sent out meant i had key info at hand. Cottage is located nicely between Oxford and Cotsworld so can cover both. Plenty of rooms and Beds were very comfortable. Overall had a very good holiday and will definitely book again.
We loved this little cottage. The views were perfect and peaceful. We found the house in excellent clean condition. The kitchen had all the needed essentials. The bedrooms were cozy and comfortable. We loved waking through the village and even had dinner at the local restaurant, highly recommended. Would definitely go here again.
The cottage was beautifully decorated, it has everything you need. Lovely bed linen and comfortable bed, we had a wonderful break, the only issue was the cleanliness, lots of cobwebs and spiders in most corners and we found wood lice along the skirting boards. Given we couldn’t access the cottage until 5pm that’s long enough to thoroughly clean the place.
My only complaint is over the different naming of the property on your site and the owners' site. We thought we had booked Heron Barn, to find the property was also called Rose Barn, to find on arrival the signage referred to Roebucks Rose Barn. It would also have been useful to know that "Quince" was a company run by the owners. Otherwise we were pleased that the property provided all we needed for a family get together.
Lovely way to relax before the start of the academic year begins. Owner was very helpful and understanding.
We loved our stay at Abbots Cottage. It’s a beautifully restored cottage in a small charming town with every modern convenience. Very comfortable, quiet at night and just a charming place to stay. There are restaurants, bakeries, groceries and shopping within very short walking distance. Highly recommend!
Pleasantly surprised with the apartment as it was compact but had all the benefits of a comfortable place to stay. It was superbly clean with some nice touches on arrival such as milk, coffee, sugar, tea and bathroom accessories. Location in Stow on the Wold was excellent being just a short walk to the shops etc. On the downside a person of a larger stature might find the shower a bit cramped and the apartments are a bit tricky to find even with what3words as it gives the wrong name to the turning but overall a nice quiet, relaxing stay.
Had a great time at the organic wagon. The view is great and it is in close vicinity to numerous spots to visit. The bed was in incredibly comfortable and completed the stay.
Well appointed and well situated house in a quiet village with good access to nearby towns and walks – just what we wanted for a long weekend's gathering of six friends plus a dog. We loved the space, and really appreciated the en suites and bathroom. We did enjoy the dining space and its views, perfect for leisurely meals. Really comfortable beds made for a great night's sleep. A few comments from previous reviewers did flag up a couple of issues, and, even though we checked in advance that these had been taken on board, they hadn't been rectified, which was a little disappointing: there wer...more
We booked this cottage because we were visiting The Game Fair at Ragley Hall and decided we wanted to see more of the Cotswolds. Needless to say we fell in love! Ebrington is just the sweetest little village with one of the best pubs. A lot to do for the children as well, we visited All Things Wild and Blenheim. The cottage is very comfortable and the AGA a bonus! If we were to say one thing as an advice to the owner, the cottage was clean, but it does need a good deep clean. Maybe once every few stays. ( Considering there are also dogs allowed and everyone walking in the countryside) ...more
Review after stay at "The Cotswold Lady" in village Guiting Power in The Cotswolds (week 33 2023) By Palle Greve, Tommerup St., Denmark The Cotswold area ------------------------- I have travelled most of England, Scotland, and Wales over the last 51 years. I find The Cotswolds one of the most beautiful and attractive areas in Britain. I love the long-stretched hills ("the wolds"), the woods, the green pastures with sheep and horses, the alone-standing trees in the fields with blue woodpigeons flying to-and-fro, and the unique walls in Cotswold Stone surrounding the fields. I like the ma...more
A great place to experience cottage life in the Cotswolds in a quaint historical home. The modern day conveniences were very much appreciated, and offered an interesting contrast to life of a few centuries ago. The only suggestion we would offer is to make sure you drive a car to the property, as walking on the highway to town is not very safe.
Fabulous house and fabulous location. Bigger than it looks. Lovrly vase for walks from the doorstep and access to the rest of the Cotswolds.
Lovely house in a great location with very pretty countryside. We were 11 adult members of a family who live in different parts of the country and the world getting together and celebrating a 86th birthday.Overall we had a lovely stay. We had an enjoyable meal at the Hollow bottom and those who went to the Post Office cafe were well satisfied too. The weather was not great so we didn't get to explore as much of the countryside around as we would have liked. The size and configuration of the rooms suited us well but as others have said before, there were a few niggles. The biggest was the...more
We loved our stay at Bunt Barn. The views are beautiful. Broadwell is a lovely village with a great pub, The Fox. We enjoyed walking into Stow, a town that has a great butcher, Lambourn’s, the baker, Otis &Bell, the Cheese Shop and great restaurants like Alexious and The Old Butcher.
Enjoyable, comfortable stay in this spacious period cottage. Comfy beds. Attentive, caring host. Ideal location for exploring the Cotswolds.
This beautiful and lovingly converted barn is in a fabulous location in Bourton on the Water, on a quiet road and only a nice 5 minute stroll into town. There are 5 bedrooms in total, and can accommodate up to 12 people. There's a well equipped kitchen with bar seating, a dining room with a large dining table and chairs, and two living rooms with smart TVs in each, dividing the house into two 'wings'. There are a smattering of books, but no board games, so bring your own entertainment if needed. There's a paved garden with outside seating too. The property is gated, and can fit four cars, alt...more
Scored 3 for value for money as you only really get one full day I was expecting full weekend. Sofa was in a very poor condition ripped had to put a blanket over. Not value for money because of the limited time you could stay in the annexe. (5pm arrival 10am departure) Unfortunately we had gardeners with chainsaws all of Saturday the noise was horrendous and we haven't even been offered compensation of some kind therefore we would not use this company again.
1st time in the Cotswolds for us and it didn’t disappoint. What a beautiful place. Rainbow barns was no exception a home from home accommodating 2 adults one 14yr old and our border collie. I was worried about talking the dog but I needn’t have been. There was toilet roll, kitchen roll, washing up liquid, a scourer, tea towel. Some tea coffee sugar (that I think was left over from previous guest) provided. Ample space in the undercounted Intergrated fridge with a top box freezing compartment. Powerful shower in bath. Clean fresh bedding and towels provided. Lovely 10 minute walk into bourton o...more
Ended the week very relaxed. Very quiet, beautiful cottage and the hot tub was to die for. Loads of nature around us and some amazing walks across fields and down country lanes and bridle ways. Very close to Oxford which was handy. Eynsham Coop and wine merchant was useful as well. only suggestion is that man in road into Oxford is constantly busy so Swinford tool bridge is useful although remember your 5p crossing fee!
A clean and welcoming cottage with nice areas for sitting both in and outside. Comfortable beds and good bathrooms. Lovely village green and local pub with great food. Booking process and information provided was first class.
Only drawback was a fan noise that was very loud at night, particularly in twin bedded room. Sounded like a mighty storm enough to keep occupants awake. We couldn’t find out what or where it came from. Otherwise all good.
The Norman Chapel was a perfect location for my husband’s siblings to get together. It is a beautiful property, attractively furnished and well equipped and the garden is perfect for a well-bahved dog with a lovely table and chairs. We’d thoroughly recommend the Norman Chapel. However, 5pm (we couldn’t get in until 5.40 pm because the previous guests had left such a mess) is too late in the day after a long journey. Most properties have 3pm check-in. We were very disconcerted to discover the bath and shower room do not have locks. A simple bolt at high level would have made our stay much...more
Gorgeous cottage. Well maintained and everything you need is provided. Location is perfect and we had a great stay.
We had a wonderful few nights at Tythe Barn Cottage. The place is small but perfectly formed. The kitchen was a good size and had everything we needed to cook dinner, including salt, pepper and oil to cook with! There were lots of fresh towels and an ironing board to use. The stable door was great as we could contain our dog but let some fresh air in and the garden was secure for our dog which was a worry less. We managed to sit in the evening sun a couple of nights which was lovely. It’s on-street parking but we managed to park relatively near the cottage which was handy. The only negatives...more
We have a pleasant stay at Elm Bank. There was ample room for 8 adults and 3 kids. It's convenient located just outside of Stow on the Wold along a quiet road. We enjoyed using the BBQ and spending time in the garden. The house was very clean and well maintained. The property management team was also very responsive and replied to emails quickly.
Guinea Cottage looks just like it does on the photos and is a beautiful, well appointed cottage. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped, with the enclosed garden perfect for the dogs. The bathroom was also well stocked and we had big, fluffy bath towels, which was a really nice touch! For us, it was a great location - just be mindful when booking that it is up to an hours drive to most attractions/places in the Cotswolds from the cottage. The front door is a little stiff, we did have to move the sofa in order to watch the tv comfortably of an evening, and the shower...more
All good on the whole, great location and big house with a great garden. Few bits just to provide feedback although didn't spoil our stay. The house is getting a bit tired, I was informed the bedroom downstairs didn't have a carpet due to a leak but this had clearly happened a while back and not yet corrected. It would be a good idea to supply a few more dish cleaning products considering it's a house for up to 16. One tiny dish cleaner quickly becomes worn out, and a few cloth's to wipe down would be good. Equally, a spare toilet roll in each bathroom would be useful. The house needs a good c...more
The property was spacious, clean, comfortable, tastefully furnished and well equipped, with plenty of storage. It was a nice touch to provide a barbecue, but unfortunately the weather prevented us from using it. Shops at nearby Faringdon were very good: Waitrose, Tesco and Aldi were all there. The property is well placed for trips out into the Cotswolds and is not too far from Oxford and Cirencester. We would definitely stay there again.
A lovely, bright and well equipped house. Very peaceful setting although very strong silage smells at certain times of the day might reduce the time spent in the well manicured garden.
Whilst this is a lovely cottage (building) and well equipped, for us personally it was an uncomfortable stay. The beds/pillows/towels were awful and the settee’s were low and old. The bathroom is tired and needs painting. No point having a coffee machine if you don’t supply pods or tell the client what to bring and some of the glasses were dirty in the cupboard. The road noise didn’t bother us but if you’re expecting country tranquility it would bother some and should be mentioned. This property has great potential but not as it is to rate the cost.
We had a lovely stay in the Cotswold! The house was beautiful but unfortunately not very clean which was a shame. Everything in the kitchen was sticky! We wanted to fry an egg but the pan was filthy and unusable. I had been traveling and wanted to wash some clothes but the washing machine was so dirty that I didn’t want to put my clothes in there. The rim was totally black of mould & dirt. The kitchen was very spacious but needs some tlc (tender, love & care) The living room was very spacious and comfortable but the windows extremely dirty which was a shame as it didn’t do any justice for the ...more
When we opened the gates, the place looked stunning. Sadly it didn't love up to first impressions. I'm sure it was spectacular ten years ago. Though a big property with good space and well equipped kitchen, there is considerable mould and damp in the living room, study and bedrooms. The outdoor furniture cushions was riddled with damp and stains (red berries that stain clothes!!) so the outdoor space was unusable, despite it being a gloriously sunny week. The cleaning was also a tad patchy, with cobwebs in the bath and strangers socks under the bed! Overall we had a nice week, but this propert...more
Very clean cosy cottage in a lovely peaceful location. View stunning. Well equipped and homely. Would definitely stay there again. Centrally situated for all the major Cotswold towns.
The Willows House in Lower Swell was the perfect home for our family of four and another family of five to spend a week. The home is charming, well appointed, and very comfortable. The location, just outside of Stow-On-The-Wold makes for easy day trips to nearby towns, while the public footpaths provide for delightful walks to the neighboring villages or Lower and Upper Slaughter, Stow, and beyond. The booking was very easy and the rental agency provided good and timely communication. We would stay here again!
We thought the cottage was in a good location with an excellent village pub very close by. The garden was pleasant. We appreciate the property is an old cottage but we found general cleanliness to be an issue. Cobwebs and thick dust, especially under the beds. Some broken glass on the floor near the dishwasher. Also areas in the kitchen which looked unfinished - exposed pipe work near the boiler. The kitchen was lacking in some basic items - such as a cafetière, which was listed on the website as being stocked, but could not be found. Other small things, lack of soap, the shower not draining...more
We recently stayed for three nights at Lavender Cottage in Bourton on the Water. It was absolutely the most quintessential, lovely Cotswold cottage experience we could have asked for! The proximity to town was fabulous - just a few minutes' walk. But the street and cottage were quiet and pleasant, we never felt as though we were "too close" to town or the tourists. The cottage was darling, clean and comfortable - everything we needed for our stay was provided. The mattresses could have been a bit softer - but we found that to be true all over England! Parking was easy, right on the street, ...more
Beautiful cottage, amazing beds. Couple of niggles but nothing that impacted our stay… great welcome pack, perfect for breakfast. Beds were amazingly, secondary glazing meant we had no issues with road noise. The stairs are really narrow - not suitable for those with limited mobility. Stay Cotswolds were great to deal with. Customer service & communication was excellent
Cottage is in a truly wonderful position. Quiet and with beautiful, idyllic walks from outside the front door. Bedrooms are sweet; downstairs things are a bit sparse but comfortable. A few things were broken which are small but need fixing: the coffee machine, a blind in the bathroom, one of the drawers in the dishwasher, the light switch in the dining room and a dining room chair whose seat came off and I trapped my finger under it.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely, cosy cottage. We loved the combination of old beams and newer features. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment. The beds were comfortsble but we would have welcomed more surfaces, as there was nowhere to put toiletries etc. Also the back door was very difficult to close - we worried we might break it as we had to pull so hard to close it. Overall, though, a great stay!
Excellent accommodation for our party of 12 - we found the annex very useful. Location excellent too, a nice walk into Chipping Norton through very muddy fields! Well stocked with crockery ( for children as well as adults) though we could have used a tea pot and a few more serving dishes. The garden is lovely and there was a good stock of games for the kids. The washing machine and dryer came in handy after the muddy walk. The only negative was that all bins were full and we would have cleared all our rubbish and sorted the recycling if we had space. It was bin collection day as we left an...more
Enjoyed our short stay in this lovely quiet setting. Ideal to have easily movable outdoor furniture to make most of sun or shade, as required, which we did. Very friendly, obliging host who made us feel very welcome. Ever conscious of energy use, an increase of crockery sets would have meant we didn't need to use dishwasher so often. Concerned at how hygienic a card table is as a dining table. All in all though, a very pleasant place to stay.
Lovely cottage but a few area felt a little tired. Both shower heads could do with replacing as water sprays everywhere! There was a fun fair when we stayed, which had thumping base until 10pm. I would recommend informing guests about this before letting them book. If we had known this, we wouldn’t have booked the cottage, we had a 1 year with us and it didn’t make the most relaxing stay. It’s also worth noting that the stairs are very steep and dangerous, not baby friendly at all.
We were 3 generations in an adjacent cottage plus our lovely snug. We had a wonderful stay and literally everything was perfect.
Cottage was spacious for 5 people and had nice outside area. Couple of negatives...there is an aga in kitchen which has to be on all the time making it very hot. Electrics all went off on Friday night, difficult getting in touch initially with management company(not answering phone number provided ..had to email but this was not provided in welcoming text eventually did late Sat am who arranged electrician who came out sat afternoon and fixed faulty electrics.Lost food in fridge and had workmen around when trying to get ready to go out so not ideal but at least problem was fixed Lovely pub ...more
Everything was catered for, everything was thought of that you would need on your stay even for the furbabies. Highly recommend. Lovely local pub in the village and walks, we all left feeling relaxed.
Great stay in Cobblers Cottage in Morton. Perfect for couples, quiet spot but so close to shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay at the cottage again.
Great space and surroundings, with good provision for football, tennis etc. loved the house, only drawback was not being able to control the heating which meant the house, particularly the bedrooms were very warm, even using the provided fans. Would still recommend and book again
Very good, spacious, accommodation in a quaint period property. Very smartly presented. Very clean. Really enjoyed our stay.
Loved this cottage, it’s modern facilities were much appreciated and lovely bedlinen and towels. Showers were great with hot water. Only minor criticism is the bar stools are not very comfortable for eating from the breakfast bar.
Cosy comfy cottage in the heart of a pretty town. Beds comfortable, nice large bathroom with separate shower, good size kitchen, and generally a nice stay. Only a few niggles that could be easily sorted. The lounge rug needed a good hoover. We know it's a pet friendly property but there was quite a lot of dog hairs on it. The shower needed descaling around the glass edges outside and also the fixed shower head. The cupboard/wardrobe in the front bedroom could not be used for clothes because it was full of untidy bags of bed linen and other things. Sadly it meant I could not unpack. A small ch...more
We stayed at the nest at robins roost For 4 days The bed and sofa were uncomfortable the freezer needs defrosting the low ceiling were a pain you either walked around hunched back or bumped your head The parking was very poor They did have a table and chairs outside but we would’ve felt uncomfortable sitting outside because it was in their car parking space. So we wouldn’t choose to stay at the nest again . But would definitely visit the Cotswolds again If you walk to burton on water beware the paths are over grown and forget the 20 mile limit so take care
Very nice house, perfectly situated for local facilities. Our dogs enjoyed it too, though the steps to the back lawn were a little steep for our older Labrador.
We had a really lovely family time at Steps Cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed the location as the cottage is situated right in the picturesque town of Stow on the Wold. A beautiful village and a great place to explore the Cotswolds..... Chippen Camden, Burton on the water and many more. Anything you need is provided. The cottage offers a private garden, with a BBQ and an outdoor dining table and chairs. A welcoming bottle of sparking wine was just perfect to celebrate my daughter graduation. It was really nice to meet the owner on our departure. Would have loved to stay longer and I woul...more
When booking Wren cottage by telephone I asked if we could have the super-king arrangement , I also requested this via e-mail to confirm. Upon arriving at the property this hadn't been done and it was still a twin configuration. I did know that the property was near to a road when booking but can I just say its a constantly busy road opposite a service station and by a junction the noise for us was a problem as its constant it was like being next to a motorway and difficult to have the windows open. The property is a lovey old building and personally whilst the owners can't do anything abo...more
The property location is something of a double-edged sword. Very close to all the amenities of Stow but yards from the very busy A429, with its heavy traffic, including a fair few emergency vehicles hurtling past. Weather was warm but given traffic noise, opening bedroom windows wasn’t an attractive option. Property is either quaint or given steep stairs, low ceilings and awkward layout of 2 bedrooms in the eaves, a bit annoying, depending on your point of view, though to be fair, it was alluded to in the literature. It was clean overall but extractor fans weren’t working in the upstairs bathr...more
We had a lovely stay at Holly cottage. It was in a great location for walking down the quiet road to the village centre, the road is quite steep to walk back up though. The outside area was great for our 2 smallish dogs to have a run around. The boot room as you walk in is a fantastic asset with a downstairs toilet and lots of hooks for hanging coats, dog lead etc. Kitchen was very well equipped but there wasn’t a microwave. (We don’t use a microwave very often anyway) The cottage was roomy and clean. We had to stream TV, this is not something I’m used to, but got the hang of it. We gave the l...more
Very clean and lovely situated cottage. Do not go in the height of summer though as our room reaches over 35degrees and no fans were provided and when asked for the response was very rude. We enjoyed the hot tub but be careful not to leave the lid off, we had been out for all of 1minute to go to the bathroom before getting back in and received an e-mail telling us off for not putting lid on and taking it off incorrectly (no instructions on how to do this!!). So beware you are being watched!! Also information in the cottage, on your e-mail and from management is quite different but due to manag...more
We adored this cottage! The views from every window are spectacular onto the Cotswold hills. Our family did not mind the quirks mentioned in previous reviews of such an old cottage (leaky tub faucet, bathroom door hard to unlock once closed). Every room felt snug and comfortable. The amount of living room furniture was perfect - there's clearly a TV area and also snug/reading area, so that worked for us. The wifi was indeed terrible, yet the weather was perfect during our stay. So we were pretty cut off from the world, but that was actually just fine. We took long walks on the public footpaths...more
We had a lovely stay in this cottage. Its located in a beautiful setting and also the adjoining garden was very nice to see. The beds where comfortable and the house was well equipped for a vacation. The village is also worth seeing, also the shop and Blockly cafe are also worth a visit. Unfortunately there are also some remarks to make. The vacuum cleaner had not been emptied for some time and could only be used for a few minutes before the battery died. There were lots of spiders. The fan in the downstairs bathroom didn't switch off. The utility room was still a shambles and the garden ...more
