Built in 1826 Aylsham Windmill was a working flour mill for almost 100 years. It was unused for more than 80 years, and has now been converted into luxurious self catering accommodation for 6 people. The accommodation is on 4 floors linked by normal domestic stairs. Aylsham is ideally placed in the centre of North Norfolk. Explore the coast, the Broads and the city of Norwich.
Our family of 6 adults and an infant very much enjoyed our long weekend in this beautifully restored windmill, to celebrate a birthday. It was truly a home from home experience as nothing was missing - all our needs were perfectly catered for - to the point that having forgotten matches to light the birthday cake candles, we found some in a kitchen drawer - perfect. The lounge area and beds are very comfortable, the bathrooms spotless and well also equipped with soft towels and toiletries.
