Built in 1826 Aylsham Windmill was a working flour mill for almost 100 years. It was unused for more than 80 years, and has now been converted into luxurious self catering accommodation for 6 people. The accommodation is on 4 floors linked by normal domestic stairs. Aylsham is ideally placed in the centre of North Norfolk. Explore the coast, the Broads and the city of Norwich.
The five of us loved staying at the Windmill! The care and kindness Janet & Ian put into preparing the place did not go unnoticed. The whole conversion and service oozes thoughtfulness. We really appreciated the treats and essentials they provided for our arrival.
Coming from five different households (of the same family), the two twin bedrooms and one double bedroom was plenty of space for us. And three toilets came in very handy :) The living space was also very large and comfortable, allowing us all to sit around for dinner together.
