Aylsham Windmill, Norfolk NRll 6NB. Unusual accommodation in the ancient market town of Aylsham. Perfectly placed, halfway between the fine city of Norwich and the coast at Cromer.
Built in 1826 Aylsham Windmill was a working flour mill for almost 100 years. It was unused for more than 80 years, and has now been converted into luxurious self catering accommodation for 6 people. The accommodation is on 4 floors linked by normal domestic stairs. Aylsham is ideally placed in the centre of North Norfolk. Explore the coast, the Broads and the city of Norwich.
We stayed in the Windmill for four days with family who were visiting from Canada. We thought it would be something special to do and it truly was. Our hosts were charming and so welcoming and they had thought of absolutely everything to make our stay perfect. The welcoming ‘goodies’ were particularly appreciated after our journey. The decor and furnishings were in pristine condition and we had a really comfortable stay. We definitely hope to return in the future.
