When we arrived at Holkham Cottage we were very pleased with the position and its proximity to the river and the shops. Once inside we were delighted with the size, equipment level and the cleanliness of the cottage. We stayed for 7 nights and paid just over £ 700. What a great place. We will definitely stay there again We have booked with Riverside Rentals on several occasions and will not hesitate in doing so again.
Was the first time at teal lodge, everything was first class, very clean and had a very homely feel, great for fishing the only drawback was the holes in the road leading to teal lodge, but having said that we had a great weeks holiday so much so we have booked again for next year.
We had great hols .even tho the weather was awful and the paths got flooded.the bungalow was perfect .and just sat watching the boats go past .such peaceful hols the best
Great week unfortunately we had a power cut and as the property is all electric including the toilet flush we cut our holiday by a day and a half. Apart from that all good.
The house is lovely and feels like you are a guest in someone's beautiful home rather than a holiday home. Perfect location for exploring The Broads only 10 mins by car to Wroxham. Great pubs in nearby Coltishall. We hired a boat for the day from Richardsons who we would highly recommend. Garden and surrounding area lovely. The only downside with guests less able, it is a steep and fairly long walk down to the river. Other than that a great time had by all. Would highly recommend!
We had wonderful week in this beautiful house. Perfect location especially for anyone wanting to add fishing to their holiday. Plenty of space, spacious bedrooms, nice comfy beds. Kitchen has recently be refurbished to a high standard and is extremely well equipped. Horning village is a gentle 15 min stroll away and I would highly recommend a visit to the Swan Inn where we had a delicious meal. There are two further pubs so plenty of choice. Ideally situated for visiting surrounding areas.
As usual we had a fabulous week in Daisy Lodge. This little cottage is spotless and in a great position. We love it and have stayed for the past few years, we've already booked for next year. Riverside Rentals are always helpful and have gone far and beyond good customer service on occasions. I wouldn't hesitate to book another property with Riverside Rentals if Daisy Lodge became unavailable. The level of cleanliness is extremely high, the beds are comfy, the Internet very good and the whole experience of staying there is extremely pleasant.
We loved our stay at Watersedge Cottage and we had fabulous weather to make it perfect. The cottage is really lovely and in a perfect setting. Plenty of outside furniture and places to relax and watch the world go by. Only a short walk into Wroxham as well. Definitely worth booking.
A very comfortable, clean and cosy cottage, beautifully decorated throughout. Very well equipped, all we could ask for. Large shed in garden very useful for fishing equipment.
This is the fourth time we have stayed at this property. The facilities are good with everything we need. We mainly stay at the property to fish. The fishing is great with a wide selection of fish. Occasionally some of the boats get a bit close and there is a chance that you could lose your rig. The key things to improve are: • the bed in the main bedroom (the one with the en-suite) needs a new bed and a new duvet. We ended up moving from the main bedroom to the back double as the bed was much more comfortable. If you change the bed it would be great to get a slightly bigger bed...more
Beautiful, spacious house. Very well equipped with everything you could need for a great, relaxing holiday.
Everything about this property is just as expected from this lovely house, like a home from home, clean comfortable, 10 minutes walk to Wroxham, parking for 2 cars and of course fishing from your private mooring area.
Stunning property in a fab setting with spacious well equipped interior. Take wellies, the path to the property at high tide was ankle deep every day and the bridge rickety and regularly under water. For fishermen, beware the vociferous neighbour who apparently owns the dyke, lagoona and fishing rights therein and will not hesitate to inform you of this! Fishing from the decking onto the river was excellent, would definitely revisit.
Lovely family accommodation good location but not great for fishing outside the cottage. Wroxham is terrific if weather is good
Despite COVID restrictions and poor weather we had an enjoyable weeks stay at BRIT House on the Broads. The accommodation was well fitted out, clean, comfortable spacious and in a beautiful location on the river. Would recommend this property to anyone seeking to escape the city and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the countryside with surrounding larger towns and cities all within a 30 minute drive. Reedham also has it's own railway station within walking distance of BRIT House plus pubs and restaurants. We most certainly will be back.
We have stayed at Bureville for 2 weeks in Autumn for 10 years because the experience is always the same “Brilliant “. This year was different because of the Pandemic and the necessary reductions it imposed, but for those of us able to enjoy our 2 weeks the experience was Brilliant as usual.
This was a beautiful property, very spacious, clean and the most peaceful location. Ideal for a relaxing break with the family
Very enjoyable stay clean comfortable and well equipped house. Nice to have separate bathrooms & off road parking. Just a runner mat in entrance to put outdoor footwear on would be good.
The accommodation was first class clean and comfortable with a very well fitted out kitchen the outside fridge for fishing bait was also very useful. Lovely comfy settees and beds a great shower Agreat place to stay
We had a very relaxing holiday in a comfortable house. Even though the weather was uncertain there was plenty going on around us
Nice quite location at the end of a lovely village. Otter watching every morning and they did not let us down, 2 most morning's. Wellingtons are required as the area get's plenty of water around on big tides but would definatly stay here again.
Had a lovely few days at Dutch Cottage, it is cosy and quaint and within easy access to all the local amenities. We kayaked, cycled, walked and went to the beach. We had a couple of good meals out at The Swan, we couldn't book in at the fish restaurant, you need to do this well in advance of your stay. We were advised to bring wellies prior to arrival and for good reason, the cottage was pretty much totally surrounded by water, we didn't mind this, it added a bit more to the cottages quirkiness, however we did have to leave a day early due to not being able to flush the toilet. This was due...more
The lodge is our favorite location for the fishing holiday, well positioned and comfortable. The house had been refreshed and has every convenience. The shower is superb and just what's needed after a cold day. Fishing is always good for silver fish. We will be going again.
Me and my friend stayed for a week whilst fishing the place is in a lovely area with a good view of the marina. The place was clean and tidy and well equipped. It was that good we have booked again for next year.
The house is absolutely splendid with views across the river. There is lots to see from the big windows, different types of boat passing by and plenty of ducks! At this time of year it is also good that there is a very effective heating system. Riverside were very helpful and the experience was thoroughly enjoyable.
Nice house in a good location with good facilities. Clean and modern. Lovely bedding and mattresses gave a good nights sleep for all. We hired the boat Mr Pip for the week and and made full use of him, including visiting Ranworth Broad on one day and How Hill on another. Special praise for Richard and his Riverside Rentals staff who just can't do enough for people.
On the whole, Ferrymans Cottage is fabulous. It's bigger and better than it looks on the website. The kitchen is extremely well- equipped, the lounge looks out straight onto the river with double doors leading to a long verandah where you could sit for hours watching the world go by. (If it wasn't raining which it was most of our visit, unfortunately!). Bedrooms are a decent size with plenty of storage. For the cost of the property, the main bedroom would benefit from a bigger bed (there's plenty of room) and a new mattress. Also with 6 people in (we were only 3), just one loo in the whole p...more
I have stayed in a few bungalows over the years and I’ve got to say this was my favourite! Lovely spacious accommodation beautiful bedrooms and loved the wood floorings! Only problem was the internet which we sadly lost half way into our holiday but the girls in the office were great and replied to us straight away about this!!
We have stayed in many rental properties and The Annex is the best. Lots of space, very well equipped and owners friendly and helpful but not pushy. The only slight down is poor internet connection but we expected that in rural Norfolk! The location is really quite and the properties gardens extensive and beautiful.
Flag House really is as good as it looks from the photos . Watching life on the river Yare was great , even on a wet day the river was mesmerising. The accommodation has been very well thought out and with the kitchen / dining area and bedrooms being on the ground floor , making life easy for my older parents . Plenty of parking and dog friendly . The two Co Op shops locally just a short car drive or a 20 min walk away were handy .
I have been to Norfolk many of time over the last few year and I think this was the best location I stayed. Very clean lovely garden .
had a good week at Cresta Cottage. Location brilliant could spend all day sitting outside weather permitting watching the coming and going of boats. Cottage a bit dated as others have previously said but not a problem it is well equipped. Would return for another week anytime so that speaks volumes.
Excellent riverside cottage which is extremely well equipped and was very well prepared for our arrival. We would definitely recommend.
Good position needs decking to avoid Muddy feet in the lounge from very wet outside could do with new couches owners very friendly
This was a return trip for a fishing holiday. Great little place ideally situated on the river and not too far from the carpark. Unfortunately it is beginning to show signs of wear and tear. Both doors were difficult to open, heating is not working properly (although a portable electric heater was provided for a bedroom) and wire deck covering had come adrift and needed attention. All that said we have rebooked for the new year in what is a lovely little place in need of some tlc.
This cottage has one of the best views of the Broads, especially from the upstairs lounge. Will be back.
Corner position giving access to the main river and dyke. Lovely garden with plenty of areas to sit and entertain. Well equipped kitchen. Lounge area with river views, very comfortable. Double bedroom and bathroom acceptable but on the small side. Walking distance to pubs and shops. We stayed two weeks and loved it.
I stayed in poppy at the end of a 10 day cycling holiday, Made contact with the owners the day before who let me know where to locate the key. On arrival I found the interior to be in a good clean condition, with some welcome supplies in the fridge (beer, butter, tea and coffee and biscits). I spendt 3 days there along with a few caravans in at the site. I found the toilet and Shower facility's to be fine, Hot shower water costs £1 Pound but the water lasts for a good 15 Min, so more than one needs. The last day was spent in a full on storm, the hut survived with no issues, nice and war...more
Located in a lovely area, cottage was beautiful very comfortable, great for the broads and attractions
Excellent property would stay again 5 minutes from shops and restaurants. very warm and welcoming. 10/10
We really enjoyed our stay (just two of us)and luckily the weather was very good, the beds were very comfortable and it was all very clean. When it got chilly at the end of the week we could not find how to get the heating on. Being an upside down house it could have done having a mirror in the ground floor bedroom. We would certainly go there again.
It's advertised as two bedroomed property but only one was made up and no one asked us if this was acceptable. On looking at the second bedroom it seemed some sort of water leak had happened in that bedroom. However if you advertise a property as two bedroomed I do expect both bedrooms to be made up or at least have some discussion over it before arrival. It was a delightfully quirky property to stay in and relatively comfortable. And very warm with its electric heating which was a surprise. It would be even nicer if the wood burning stove was operational. But it's needs a little TLC as in t...more
location great, place great but there were little things which let the side down no coffee making options, minimal cooking stuff for example also heating could not be changed and it was cold when we were there also its not a separate house they seem to have separated it a little so under one of the bedrooms is a separate small flat
3rd year we have been in buttercup lodge and still comfortable clean place would recommend to all wanting a nice place to stay
The walk from the car park(Pedros) is challenging and takes a good 15-20 minutes to reach the cottage I am not sure how people take their luggage as well as the foot path is very uneven and is unlit. If you do take your own boat like we did you can only launch it from Ludham which takes approx 1 1/2 hours to reach the cottage. There is no storage in the bedroom so be prepared to live out of your suitcase, the decking is in need of repair and the bathroom is quite cold even with the heating on. When using the shower you have to use a plunger to help the water go down but this caused black d...more
The Cottage was a lovely accommodation for the size and location. Was perfect for what it was needed for, for a lovely time away from the city. Peaceful surroundings of an evening as we were out during the day most days we were there. There were a few minor issues that had been noticed though, which include the following: 1. There was no welcome pack when we arrived yet the property next door had received one. Next door was also a Riverside Rental property as well 2. Light switches were in awkward places i.e the light to the dining room was located on the other side of the room so you had ...more
Good location in village centre, some aspects of cottage looking tired, if staying in winter time central heating needs sorting out and needs to be easier to control ..The old television needs to be replaced as picture awful.
Overall the property was good fishing was difficul not only my opinion. Car drop off plus leaving difficult due to no turning point Then having to reverse down the lane.
Found the fact the toilet did not always flush away properly a bit of a nuisance as it was like that all week and not just a rare occassion (at high tide) Could not find any scissors in the kitchen. Found having to feed the meter daily a chore, had to find a bank to get more pound coins even though we had bought quite a few with us.
The property’ was clean and as advertised, but the decor and furniture was had used feel This cottage needs a revamp, marks on the walls old sofas and a shower that’s seen better days. It was also advertise with a river view, there was no view as a boat had been moored outside the french doors by the owner ( I thought customers came first) Great WiFi nice area to be based for a holiday
I feel it is a nice property in a good location possibly a little over priced for the furnishings ok.
Lovely location with views over water to woodland especially from the large and comfortably furnished living room. Bit of a walk from the carpark. Beds are uncomfortable. Beautiful willow tree in the garden must be lovely to sit out there in good weather. For fisherfolk nb the water by the lodge is only about two and a half feet deep and holds mainly small roach. Overall a good experience which we would probably repeat.
We loved the location. The Customer Service was excellent, Richard even picked us up to collect our boat. We were sadly disappointed with the lack of investment in the property. Many of the white goods were very old, although they did work, but the fridge light didn't work. All of the cutlery, crockery, glasses and pots and pans were oddments and again, quite old and some of them a bit grubby. If it were my property I would be looking to put in a new kitchen. The units were made out of tongue and groove - not a fitted kitchen as such and the worktops were quite old and I could not...more
The location of Willow Lodge was stunning - breathtaking views of the river both to the front and to the side - particularly in the early morning before the procession of Broads' vessels - where we spotted otters on several occasions, kingfishers and a heron who visited us every day for titbits. Horning itself is lovely and we were able to visit all the local shops, eateries and pubs which are within only a few minutes walk. Willow Lodge itself could (and should) be five star but is currently up for sale and we feel that the current owner has lost interest in maintaining the place so we w...more
