Really lovely comfortable apartment, spotlessly clean , great having private car park space with easy walk to centre of town , highly recommend
This house was great, it was so clean and well equipped. The location was great and we will definitely be back again.
A great house in an ideal location. Close to the centre of town, near enough to the main road and a good start for a lovely walk to the beach or Golf Course. Fantastic base for a visit to this lovely area.
This apartment is spacious, light and very well maintained. It is the perfect base for exploring Inverness and the surrounding area. It is situated in a lovely residential area, just five minutes walk away from the town centre. We stayed here for a week and felt very at home.
The pictures of this house don't do it justice. Immediately felt at home as entering the property, had a generous welcome pack of Prosecco, chocolate, teas, coffee and a selection of biscuits. The owners have thought of everything that you don't think you'd need. I normally take everything with me when go away and apart from my George Foreman and slow cooker there was absolutely nothing of my own that I needed to use. There was even no excuse for a "house measure" as there was one there too. Cables to charge up phones etc. They have thought of the smallest details that not necessary needed but...more
We had a lovely stay at Oran Mor. The accommodation is excellent and the views are amazing. A wonderful location.
Banff may be a little sleepy place somewhat off the beaten track, but if you make this your base for a Scotland trip, we doubt that you can find a better place to stay than at the Granary. Apartment 8 was spacious and well equipped with pretty much everything you needed at any occasion - oddly squeezed in between the cemetery, the police station and the constantly changing seashore. Please go a little lighter on all the artificial scent sticks placed everywhere - those are terrible if you're allergic to chemical scents. But otherwise only good things to be said.
Our hosts were excellent and were in touch in the lead up to our arrival which helped us out. We had a great introduction to the property upon arrival and our needs were catered for throughout.
The house is very comfortable, clean, warm and has been very well equipped with all you need. Good location for all points of interest in the Inverness area. Car is recommended but probably not essential as bus stop is near. Have stayed before and will be back again ! 5 STAR....we love it.
Firstly, I would like to thank the owner, Nicola, for the wonderful welcoming touches at Raasay, fresh fruit, flowers, tea, coffee, bread, milk and lots of other little details which really helped after a 500 mile journey! The accommodation is obviously well-maintained. It is clean, modern, comfortable and very cosy on cold winter evenings! The facilities were excellent, the kitchen was well equipped and spacious. After only a few days the whole family felt comfortable and at home. The location was fantastic, a few minutes walk to the square and the beach. I would thoroughly recommend st...more
Braevellie is perfectly located for an easy walk to all attractions in Inverness. The apartment is finished to a very high standard, and has everything you would need for your stay. Spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished, and light and airy. Claire is a most efficient and helpful host.
We have recently returned home after our second stay at Ardshellach. The location, overlooking Loch Etive, is fabulous. Ardshellach is in a quiet spot but only 2 miles from a local shop and about 8 from bustling Oban. The garden is large, level and very well maintained. The house is a comfortable, spacious and homely family home, with all necessary mod cons. We would thoroughly recommend it.
With a peaceful location and wonderful views, this beautifully-appointed flat provides everything for a comfortable and relaxing stay. It's extremely well-furnished and well-equipped, cosy and warm (essential for our late-October stay), and on the doorstep of some marvellous mountain and coastal walking and touring areas: Gairloch is close-by, and Inverewe, Loch Maree and Applecross only a short drive away. Zenka is a gem, one of those "we shall definitely go back soon" places!!
Lovely stay, everything was clean and tidy, couldn’t do enough to provide all we needed, answered queries right away. Would recommend!
Great little apartment which is tucked away in a nice little quiet area & has all your needs in this clean & tidy apartment, great hosts & would highly recommend staying here
A great apartment. Well positioned a short walk to Inverness town centre the flat is in very nice and quiet area. I was staying in the area for business purposes and it proved to be an ideal location to visit Loch Ness, a distillery or two and the surrounding area. An excellent alternative to a hotel and better value.
Excellent location and very comfortable cottage. Good pub and excellent restaurant 2 minutes away. Will return.
We had a great stay in Aviemore. The property was comfortable, well equipped, spotlessly clean and had great views. Nice quiet location makes it ideal for families.
This cottage is centrally placed. Two minutes from town centre. Only downside is non permit holders parking outside cottage meant we had difficulty parking when we arrived. once they moved at tea;time we were able to shift our car. During term time it is noisy with school just behind it.
Three of us travelled up to Dornoch for a week of golf. We were greeted with an immaculately clean house with clean bedding and towels. Use of the washing machine, dishwasher and sky television were fantastic and much appreciated. We will be looking to book here again
This was my second visit to the cottage in just over a year. I was anticipating having family with me but due to circumstances beyond our control I came alone, but that was fine. Beautiful place to be, very welcoming and cosy with everything you could possibly need. The one change I would suggest is to have a small freezer installed, if you're not aware of one being there you may end up with wasted shopping if you bought en route.
Wonderful location for walks with spectacular views. The Old Stables is very well equipped, comfortable and spacious. We had an amazing time. The only problem we had was with the oven. It worked fine but the temperature markings have been rubbed off so it made setting the temperature of the oven very interesting. This was the only issue we had, everything else was perfect. Would definitely recommend this property.
Very well equipped and thoughtfully put together holiday home. Extremely comfortable throughout lots of nice little touches like fresh flowers, coffee pod machine, scented candles and nice Scottish toiletries - great kitchen facilities which meant you could cook properly if you wanted to. Wood burner great to relax by and beds wonderfully comfortable. Met our hosts at the house - couldn’t have been nicer and also ate very well at their restaurant in Dornoch - Luigis highly recommend this property and the hosts - make sure you book a table as they are a very popular choice in the town. Very impressed with this property and we had a great family stay. Some essentials provided for on arrival were appreciated, the owner dropped in to show us how to use the facilities all of which were in excellent working order. We came prepared with pound coins for the electricity meter and probably spent about £4 per day during a particularly cold period. The children loved the wooden construction and the bunk beds. A really good location from which to head out to nearby Balintore beach and longer trip to stunning Dornoch beach.
So we were planing on going on a Caribbean Cruise or a driving holiday to Florida in a Mustang convertible but due to Covid 19 (wasn`t as bad when we booked) came here instead and what a fabulous holiday we had. This accommodation is brilliant, probably one of the best we have rented. Lovely large bright lounge with patio doors and views over the Dornoch Firth and bridge, really well appointed with a huge garden. There is a 90 minute forest walk practically right at your doorstep which Jackson (labrador) loved before he got taken to Dornoch for his sandy beach walk. Welcome pack included f...more
Our second visit to this cottage, love the location. Very nice for a short, relaxing break. Nice Hotel next door for food and more very good places to eat around and about. Lovely log fire which we enjoyed immensely. Would go back again.
The house was well located and situated in a lovely quiet street. The house itself was comfortable and clean with plenty facilities for a family of 5 and catered for all ages. Would highly recommend this property and would visit again.
Top notch in every department. Tastefully decorated, well appointed, cozy , and thoughtful touches included.
Our 10 day holiday was cut short by a week due us having to return home because of the Corona virus. However hopefully we will be able to return at a later date. A very warm welcome from Margaret & Paul. The cottage was extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need, and was very clean. In a very convenient position for visiting many places in The Black Isle and further afield - although we didn't get chance to see that much but what we did in that short time was lovely. There were super views from the garden and plenty of parking space. We were very grateful for the extra...more
This property was in a excellent location for exploring the surrounding area. It was a well equipped property and was very comfortable. Would highly recommend.
Family enjoyed our stay and we found the accommodation clean and quiet. I would book with this location in the future. Thanks
We used the property as a base for a cross Scotland race. We didn't spend much time there aside from 2 nights but what time we did spend what was very comfortable and had everything we needed.
Bowlins is in a great location and is a very well equipped, clean bungalow. Heating is great in the cold weather and it is very spacious. There is an issue with the TV reception. There basically isn’t any, unless you like BBC 1 or 2 only. It has Chromecast but loading apps on your phone to watch TV isn’t a good solution. If this was fixed it would be ideal.
We stayed at 7 Grampian Road when we competed in the Glenmore 24 trail race - and it was absolutely the most perfect base for us. The kitchen was well equipped and a joy to cook in. The beds were soooo comfy and just the ticket for tired runners after the race. The sitting room was perfect for relaxing in, eating and chatting. And the flat was brilliantly located for stocking up on supplies and for grabbing a bite. Plenty of parking too so not too far to walk on sore feet!! Loved it and can’t recommend the flat highly enough. Hope to return with my family for a more chilled out weekend soon. T...more
The property is in the ideal location for all the activities of Rothiemurchus and surrounding area. The hot tub and sauna are a great addition to help unwind after a days activities. We did find that the wardrobe doors did not close properly and a coffee table had a wonky leg, these were reported to the owner. The duvets were lumpy and could have done with being bigger. There were no cleaning products and only two bin bags left. The T.V was old a buzzed loudly. It would have been nice for a welcome pack left or even just a pint of milk, for the price we paid it is the least the owner could do...more
The apartment is perfectly located in the center of Dornoch, appears to have been recently renovated, and is well stocked with everything you need in the kitchen, etc. Customer service was great. I would definitely stay here again.
The apartment was brilliant. Even though it was on a man road, the traffic noise was OK especially with the bedroom at the back. It had everything we needed, well-equiped Kitchen, spacious lounge & bedroom plus a modern shower. I would not stay in a hotel in Inverness again, the apartment is perfectly located with a 10 minute walk to most of the City Centre & 5 minutes from the River Ness. No problem with Parking.........I can HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
This apartment is located a short walk from many restaurants, shops and the river. It is very very homey and comfortable. We stayed three nights and would have been happy to have stayed longer.
Well equipped , superclean apartment near main area of Inverness. Walking distance to everything. Excellent communication . Easy checkin.
As usual the cottage was extremely clean and as always it looked as though paintwork, etc had been freshly touched up. The welcome package as always was thoughtful and comprehensive - the best we have ever had anywhere. We always appreciate that the kitchen is very well equipped. The house was lovely and warm when we arrived. If we were to make any suggestions for minor improvements we could only think of two. A grab handle at the end of the bath to help the more elderly (us) to step out of the shower without leaning on the wash-hand basin which could pull it of the wall. The second wou...more
We found the apartment very convenient for the town centre and for the ring-road taking one further afield. There is a walled area around the building with allocated parking space; a quiet location which is easy to find. Scott was particularly helpful and thoughtful.
Dun Brae cottage is wonderfully located in the centre of charming Dornoch with superb beaches, shops, pubs and restaurants all a short walk away, as well as the famous golf course. The cottage is very well equipped, with good wi-fi and effective central heating. A delight!
We wanted something special whilst celebrating our wedding anniversary and our first visit to Stirling. Springwood apartment did not disappoint. Palatial is our description, and so comfortable. So much room. Very handy for the town centre and all the local amenities and attractions. Very well decorated and furnished, in all aspects.
Our stay in Schotland (Highlands) was very pleasant. At the Balorrin house we had magnificent conditions to make everything great when we stayed there in the evening. With four bedrooms, two bathrooms and 7 beds we had a lot of space. The livingroom was very specious and had every comfort. The kitchen was very good utilitated so knocking was like a feast. If we go once more to the Highlands we will definitely book the Balorrin house again.
We had a lovely stay here at Castle Heather .The apartment was very modern and comfortable and well equipped and parking right in front of the door . The only thing I would say was, that we could have had some heating in the evening as because the timers were remote controlled , we were un able to put the heating on in the evening . Apart from that we enjoyed our stay .
Location is brilliant, off street parking, the apartment was a perfect size for 4 people. We are going to book again for the summer
We made a great choice in booking Flat 7 for our weeks break in Aviemore. A lovely bright spacious modern flat set in a quiet area. One of the best equipped rentals we’ve stayed in, a real home from home. Will definitely book again.
We were really looking for a private bolt hole for a few days where we could read, fall asleep and read again if we felt like it. We didn’t want the restriction of a hotel room so this one bed very well equipped apartment was really perfect. It had excellent heating which was essential for a few days in the Scottish Highlands during February. All in all we loved it, would recommend it to anyone and would certainly return.
The apartment is modern and clean. The location is wonderful for easy access to the city and yet quiet. It’s great to have parking outside. The only issues are that the shower is just a trickle and the kettle lid is broken. The bed is comfortable. I’d book to stay here again if coming to Inverness.
Lovely apartment, ideal location for visiting Inverness. The under ground parking makes things so much easier
Quirky cottage, low ceilings, narrow staircase, small 'double' bed in one room, 3 singles in 2nd bedroom. New bedding. Spotlessly clean. Well equipped kitchen. Winning feature was the wood burner which was well stocked with logs for the duration of our stay. Small windows with little natural light looking out on the narrow one way street. Free parking at the end of the street on the seafront. Short shingle beach, not a great area for dog walking. A decent beach walk is a ten minute drive away. The cottage is clean and cosy but there are nicer areas to stay in the picturesque Black Isle.
Stayed in the upstairs apartment last year so layout basically the same Apt clean tidy, nice and warm and in a great location but there was a strong smell of cats urine got some air fresheners that made the living room and bedroom ok but couldn’t get rid of the smell completely, the toaster left a lot to be desired and needs renewing and the cooker I suspect needs serviced as only half of the grill worked and the oven shut off on its own one time thought of calling the number we had for the apt but due to the time of year just made the best of it Would have no problem going back again if t...more
This would have been a 5 star review if it had not been for the bed in the master bedroom! It was really, really, uncomfortable as the wooden base creaks and crunches when you move an inch. The noise kept waking us up and we had very bad sleeps for the 3 nights we were there. I looked back on previous reviews and noticed that this had been mentioned previously and these comments have obviously been ignored. Why ask for feedback if you don’t do anything about it? Get a new base for the bed and you will have some very happy clients.
Comforttable flat with a wonderful view to the sea. Perfekt equippt kitchen and a quite neigherhood.
Great location close to the amenities. Apartment was in good condition as well. Arrival instructions were clear and there was no confusion.
The house was warm clean and very well appointed apart from an errant tv which resisted even the owner's valiant efforts to fix it. It did not spoil our stay though and we were impressed by the speedy arrival of the cavalry to try and fix the tv!
Hello, The frying pan was too small and worn out. We had to buy one. The tableware was not very clean and placemats were dirty. All other was nice All other things
We've been to Aviemore many times and usually stay in the Hilton Lodges at Coylumbridge but on this occasion we decided to stay in Delmhor 1 and I'm delighted we did!! The house is perfect for a family holiday especially as it's dog friendly. The rooms were spacious, clean, (beds very comfy) and the house (especially the kitchen) has everything you need. The enclosed garden is ideal for dogs and well maintained. The use of the Hot Tub outside was wonderful after a cold day in the snow! Special thanks to Jane (the housekeeper) who ensured everything was ready for our arrival. The location of...more
We did not use the apartment, we decided not to travel due to the coronavirus, hopefully we will get another chance later on in year
The Old Chandlery in Avoch is a fabulous place to stay. Very clean and tidy, it has everything there which you will need. A home away from home. Lovely place, would stay there again.
This is our 6th visit to by the bridge apartments its our home from home, we will most certainly be back again soon. Thanks to Lisa at Gael Holidays for her help when we phoned the office the day we arrived, she was very helpful.
The Steading is an excellent place to stay in Inverness. The level of comfort is very high, everything has been well thought out and it is wonderfully quiet. Bathroom, kitchen, lounge all beautifully fitted out, very modern, with everything you could think of. It is also very convenient for walking into the town centre or accessing the river, both approx 15 minutes. Highly recommended!
Great place to stay if you like being close to the beaches. We were 2 adults, a 14 year old and 1 dog and found Beach View very comfortable, nicely furnished and spacious for our needs. Kitchen nicely equipped although no tumble dryer. Lovely views of the Moray Firth and links, which was being transformed by the arrival of the shows/funfair, so lots of interest to see out the window. Weather was not as good as usual, but it would be easy to not take the car anywhere on a sunny week as the beaches provide all you need for a great holiday. Nice garden and a shed with lots of beach 'toys. We've s...more
We visited Oakwood with family ( 4 adults,2 children and a dog )over the Christmas period. Although the location is not ideal, being 1 and a half miles from the town centre, it is walkable. However, part of the path nearest to the caravan park is unlit and parallel to a main road...torches required!! The house itself was comfortable and well maintained, although we did identify one or two issues which could be improved on e.g. Missing light bulbs, light bulbs not working, broken blind in the living room etc. The welcome pack containing lots of nice goodies (snacks, biscuits, chocolates etc) wa...more
really satisfied except the lack of heating system the first morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a lovely flat in a great location. The accommodation was perfect for us and we will definitely stay again. Everything was really clean, modern and fresh. We could walk into town and round to the local bakery and deli for croissants and lunch. It was a last minute booking with Gael Holidays and it was really easy to book and all the information we got through was excellent.
Beautiful Flat right on the River Ness and the location was perfect as it is around 1 mile of the City Centre. The flat itself is beautifully furnished more than enough space for 4 adults. Personally we would have preferred harder mattresses on the beds but that is obviously a person preference. This being said I would definitely recommend staying here if you are in Inverness.
Spent several nights in peace and quiet on the edge of Cromarty village. Apartment well appointed and big picture window overlooking the Firth, interesting watching the boats, tides and oil rigs being repaired. Close to a pub/restaurant and near to a few shops, coffee shops and a second pub.
Great location, amazing house, just needs a few extras e.g. Peeler, measuring jug, tea towels for those who are self catering
This is a comfortable, well equipped apartment in an excellent location. Lots of information provided on the local area.
Stayed for a week in January 2020. Highlights were - clean, modern bathroom - extremely comfortable bed - clean and well equipped kitchen and utility room low points - grounds and exterior felt a bit run down and were dimly lit at night - arriving on a wet January evening was not a welcoming experience - communal entrance hall is a bit shabby, needs updating - some noise from neighbouring flat at unsocial hours
Bath room door is warped resulting in making door extremely hard to lock, the bed room door opposite entrance to toilet latch on door not locking resulting in door not shutting stays open all the time! System in the toilet was leaking into pan/ running/ resulting in system topping up every 15 Minutes to 20 Minute which makes an awkward noisy especially at night. Dish washer top basket tray has no end locks resulting in basket coming right out when pulled out to fill. There were 2 Glasses in the cupboard which were badly cracked should be replaced! Cutlery is of poor quality and could do...more
We were visiting family in Aviemore and was a birthday trip also. The cottage was stunning, very comfortable and cosy. Views from the windows were also stunning. Perfectly located for all amenities. So much to do in the surrounding area. Stayed for three nights. Didn't want to leave. Will definitely go back.absolutely loved it.
The cottage is lovely, comfortable clean and compact, which is important since I have mobility limitations. Situation is quiet and private, ideal really. Well furnished, in good condition. We had difficulty understanding the instructions for the TV and hob, and the washing machine didn't work as expected.... We also struggled a bit with the heating system. But once we'd got used to all these things we were fine. We liked it very much and hope to go back. Thankyou
fourth visit , great improvements , would stay there again !! lovely and clean ,parking , good location !! When staying a couple of days no deal expected , but when staying 6/7 days abetter deal would be nice for loyal customers !! Already recommended others !!
We booked Ivydene for a family new year getaway. There was plenty of room in the house for 6 adults and 2 children, although the seating was a squeeze in the living room, we used a kitchen chair to resolve this. The comfort of the beds was mixed, some were comfortable whilst others could benefit from the mattresses being replaced. The cottage kitchen had a selection of crockery however some of these were chipped and although there was a dishwasher, it was apparent the some previous residents had not used it as the plates were quite grubby and required cleaning before use. There were no dishw...more
The reason for my stay was a vets appointment for my dog and the apartment is an excellent choice as it is dog friendly. It is comfortable and in a good location for getting around the city and surrounding areas. It is one of the first places I try and book when I know I am visiting Inverness.
Lovely location and the house was great! We had 5 of us staying and it was very comfortable. Thank you for the Christmas tree, my wee girl was very excited to see it!
Bird life, walking, or just chilling are all catered for. A short walk takes you to the beach past the golf range with the options of a walk round the lochans. If walking is of interest , then a walk along the beach into Dornoch itself is a rewarding experience. Looking out from the veranda across the Dornoch Firth to watch the sunrise and setting is spectacular . The geese overhead practising manoeuvres is a sight to behold. The fenced garden safe for children and pets alike was a bonus. The cottage itself was very well equipped and the beds extremely comfortable. We had an issue with ...more
We were very comfortable. It is in a quiet location with excellent bus service to and from the city. No 4 stops right outside and No 3 goes from the bottom of the road. The facilities in the apartment were excellent although the hot water supply to the kitchen sink is barely adequate, especially as there is no dishwasher. It half fills a bowl with hot water at one time. We had some great days out including travelling the famous Inverness - Kyle of Lochalsh railway, the Botanic Garden and a boat trip on the Caledonian Canal and Loch Ness. All highly recommended.
Kitchen esp fridge freezer and oven not good cleanliness. Bed and living room seating very uncomfortable. Garden a mess.
A very pleasant comfortable stay with amazing views. I loved the location being very peaceful and easy to drive to different locations.
Ideal, lovely property in a central location ideal for three people. Large secure garden and parking.
No complaints, except the basin very small, the shower not very powerful and all the lights so dark, we couldn't see to read or do paperwork, and had to use our torches! Kept meaning to buy better bulbs, but always forgot. We were there for work, so it was important to be able to do paperwork each night, and I need to read in bed at night. Otherwise, we were very comfortable and warm, and had everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped, we had a comfy sofa each, and the table extended to give me room for the paperwork (by torchlight). The bed was amazing. Very comfortable and a...more
