The location of Ardshellach is wonderful: a peaceful and beautiful spot with fabulous views and yet by no means isolated. There are neighbours - and the ones we met were very friendly - but, from the main windows, you can see not a single building, even in the distance. There are shops, pubs and restaurants within 2-3 miles and Oban is about 20 minutes away - everything you need can be found there. The area is full of things to do and places to visit and the house contains full information about them all, in the form of a helpful pair of files compiled by the owner and previous guests, as w...more
Just returned from a weeks stay at the Oyster catcher apartment and had a fantastic time. On arrival the views are amazing and the apartment was spotless. Very well equipped kitchen. The welcome pack was a nice touch too. A 10 minute walk across the golf course takes you to the beautiful Nairn beach. Would definitely recommend.
We had a wonderful week at No. 10. Lovely bright apartment, with the most beautiful views. Highly recommend!
The Granary apartment in Banff is really excellent. Everything in the apartment is beautifully done - apart from one small thing - the electrical switches need labelling as you would not want to switch off something by mistake. The location is as good as it gets - great view over the bay, just along from the Tesco, and easy walking distance to the bus stops so a good one for those who do not have a car.
The house is full of charm and a fine opportunity to experience a real highland, historically beautiful place. Ideal place for a rest up with access direct from the property gardens to fantastic authentic scenic area. Also a perfect location for visiting the wider area, with waterfalls, forests, and moorland a plenty and friendly villages nearby.
We enjoyed a very comfortable stay at Harbour View. The view from the lounge window is stunning and the ever changing light on the sky and water was just beautiful. The apartment was well equipped and had everything we needed. Cromarty is a really lovely place and the locals are friendly and welcoming. There’s a lot to see and do from walking along the beach and headlands to wandering around the town and its shops. Don’t miss the Cheese Shop and Ingrid’s House!
Everything great! Flat cleaned and it has everything, perfect location, easy booking, great c.service.
We stayed at Braevellie for one week and had a fabulous time. The location is very convenient for walking into the city centre, or a quick drive out to Loch Ness, Cairngorms or north to the Black Isle. The beds were very comfortable and kitchen well equipped. We really appreciated special touches like Christmas decorations being set up and friendly and responsive communication with our host. We would definitely consider staying here again.
Beyond expectation Well done to owner for making it the best .perfect location and well kept place Thanks
We loved our visit to Oran Mor. A perfect blend of a modern house, incredible views, silence and comfort. We will be coming back.
The cottage is warm, welcoming and comfortable. Great hosts and a lovely area. Always a pleasure to visit.
Really enjoyed my stay at Woodlands with my 3 little boys & dog. Great location, very close to Inverness & lots of Black Isle walks. The caravan was well equipped with a lovely garden ideal for the kids & dog. Would be happy to come & stay again!
Drumbuie Lodge has everything you could possibly need and more. I took along a few extra household items that I knew I would need over the holidays but there was really no need, the kitchen has all the appliances you could possibly need, the dishwasher and washer dryer were very handy. I’ve got to say that this is the best we have ever slept while on holiday, my husband usually doesn’t sleep well when not at home but the beds where very comfortable. The log burner was great, heating the whole lodge if you kept the room doors open (logs are easily purchased in Beauly from the hardware shop, the...more
The apartment was clean and very comfortable, close to the shopping centre. I would stay there again if I came back to Inverness
We absolutely loved our recent stay in Harbour View cottage. It has everything you need and more for a comfortable visit - Marilyn and Peter have thought of everything and the little extras such as the cakes, biscuits and bread from the Cromarty Bakery were a much appreciated bonus. The cottage has been lovingly decorated with plenty of space and comfy beds. We especially loved the sun room and garden with views to the harbour - great place to watch the sun go down. We will definitely be visiting again.
Another comfortable stay here. Just managed to pick the coldest 10 days in the month! But we did have stunning views of snow on the mountains from the warm and cosy flat. And this time even managed to see the dolphins at Chanonry Point.
This was a lovely house which was perfectly suited to our needs with an enclosed garden for the dog, large shed for bikes and a very comfortable home which has been decorated to a high standard and everything we needed was there. We would definitely consider using again if back in the area.
A great apartment. Well positioned a short walk to Inverness town centre the flat is in very nice and quiet area. I was staying in the area for business purposes and it proved to be an ideal location to visit Loch Ness, a distillery or two and the surrounding area. An excellent alternative to a hotel and better value.
A fine cabin for a relaxing break with an amazing view of Loch Ruthven. Close to Inverness and some fine lochs.
Met and exceeded all of our high expectations. For us the perfect property in the perfect location and in immaculate condition. Would love to re-visit again.
We were very happy with accommodation. Spotless. Peaceful and quite. Loved the radiators easy to set required temperature. Attention to detail. Would definately return.
Welcome pack which was a nice touch. Could do with some comfortable garden furniture and the garden fence on the badly needs replaced apart from that everything was lovely.
This is a great apartment. It is spotlessly clean & very cozy. The kitchen is well equipped ( as is the rest of the apartment ) & there is a good sized shower room /toilet upstairs plus additional toilet facilities down stairs. The bedroom is a a decent size with a very comfortable bed & good storage space. Ideally situated, just five minutes walk from the city centre . As it is extremely close to Tesco's we thought it would be noisy but it was a very quite location, especially at night. The parking permit was a bonus too as we were able to park the car outside of the property & could keep an ...more
Was really impressed with apartment was great location for Inverness and property itself was top quality.
short and simple,WOW.Stayef in Aviemore many times, but this is the best accommodation yet.. Set in a Cul de sac,off the main road, very quite, surrounded by silver Birch and pine trees House is well equipped, with high end fixtures and fittings. Will hopefully be back next year.
We love staying in Aviemore. This is the third time we have stayed at Flat 7. It is centrally located just perfect for shops, takeaways and touring. We will book again.
Wonderful location for walks with spectacular views. The Old Stables is very well equipped, comfortable and spacious. We had an amazing time. The only problem we had was with the oven. It worked fine but the temperature markings have been rubbed off so it made setting the temperature of the oven very interesting. This was the only issue we had, everything else was perfect. Would definitely recommend this property.
A spacious and well appointed cottage that is also cosy. Being there in March needed the wood burner. One small point was there was no kindling or axe to make any. We made some using a wrench and chisel! Kitchen modern and well stocked. Back porch useful for coats, storage and dog's bedroom!
Very well equipped and thoughtfully put together holiday home. Extremely comfortable throughout lots of nice little touches like fresh flowers, coffee pod machine, scented candles and nice Scottish toiletries - great kitchen facilities which meant you could cook properly if you wanted to. Wood burner great to relax by and beds wonderfully comfortable. Met our hosts at the house - couldn’t have been nicer and also ate very well at their restaurant in Dornoch - Luigis highly recommend this property and the hosts - make sure you book a table as they are a very popular choice in the town. A very comfortable property located just off the A9 means this is perfectly located for travel in all directions, easy to use this as a base for exploring the Highlands. Excellent garden if staying with dogs as fully enclosed. Well furnished with all facilities we required and ample parking.
Excellent location for pubs and restaurants. Room was very quiet with no noise from streets or neighbors. Two sets of keys would have been preferred but not a deal breaker. Parking spot very convenient but spot was a little tight. Bigger cars might have issues. And just a little thing but maybe a small table to go with the chairs out on the balcony. Otherwise a great overall stay.
VERY NICE LOG CABIN PERFECT FOR US WITH OUR 3 BORDER COLLIES, SANDY BEACHES JUST A SHORT WALK AWAY DOGS HAD A GREAT TIME
We booked this house for 4 cyclists taking part in the Etape Loch Ness and it was ideal with the twin room and zip link double (split into singles). It's relatively small on the inside but well furnished and clean and perfect for a weekend break. The driveway had ample room for 2 cars which was a bonus for us. It's only a 5 minute walk to the town centre and similar to start of the Etape. One minor quibble.... The shower is powerful but the shower head is very small. A wider shower head would give a better showering experience.
The cottage had everything we wanted and we appreciated the tea bags, coffee and the like that had been left.
From the warm and respectful welcome ,our host Anne and Donald, and the small touches (fresh home made scones) ,we knew we had chosen quality accommodation. The bungalow is well appointed through out and spotlessly clean and well maintained. It is in a rural location but large supermarkets and restraints are easily accessable and the city of Inverness is only 15 minutes away by car.The owners have a working croft. During our stay, Donald made our visiting relatives from Austraila very welcome, and provided boots to take them all down to see the new lambs and other animals.. The large lounge is...more
Initial reaction to area was not impressed, one street back from distillery, semi industrial and unfinished housing. BUT the house was lovely, quiet street, a 20 minute drive into Inverness but handy to road out to the north. We ended up staying an extra night, 4 adults ok small kitchen/diner but manageable. Beds good, lovely linen and towels, outdoor setting and garden. Would stay again and highly recommend. forgot to fill in visitors book. We stayed 31/3 to 4/4/2019.
Wonderful week in cottage wildlife abounds ospreys deer geese etc hopefully we will return cottage had everything you needed
Great kitchen facilities. Well located close to shops, places to eat, beach and walking routes. Comfortable.
We could not have asked for a better place in Inverness. Would definitely book again and highly recommended!
Family enjoyed our stay and we found the accommodation clean and quiet. I would book with this location in the future. Thanks
This is a lovely unit in a location close to bars and restaurants .We would definitely recommend to people looking for somewhere that provides all the facilities required for a comfortable stay.
A very well appointed flat in Dornoch town centre. The flat is close to all the major town attractions. Clean and very comfortable!
The apartment was brilliant. Even though it was on a man road, the traffic noise was OK especially with the bedroom at the back. It had everything we needed, well-equiped Kitchen, spacious lounge & bedroom plus a modern shower. I would not stay in a hotel in Inverness again, the apartment is perfectly located with a 10 minute walk to most of the City Centre & 5 minutes from the River Ness. No problem with Parking.........I can HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
For the most part we were very happy with the property . However some adjustments could make it even better . The bathroom could benefit from an upgrade and at least there should be a grab handle for exiting the bath, the bedroom upstairs ,it was almost impossible to get out of the bed on one side under the very low eve, at least there should be a change in the ceiling colour so that you can see the very low ceiling. Furnishings and kitchen were excellent and we would gladly return to this pleasant property.
We found the apartment very convenient for the town centre and for the ring-road taking one further afield. There is a walled area around the building with allocated parking space; a quiet location which is easy to find. Scott was particularly helpful and thoughtful.
This is our second visit to Shoreview. We love it there. The house is beautifully appointed wigh everything you need. A lovely welcome package awaits. So handy with the city, just 5 mins by car, yet such a great little village by the sea. We shall definitely be back.
The accommodation is new and in excellent condition. There is a small closed off garden for the dog. It’s a great cottage to use as a base for things to do in the area. It needs towel rails in the bathrooms, but we cannot fault it in any other way.
Coach house was a wonderful little cottage nestled in the main residential area of Dornoch about ten minutes walk from the fabulous Dornoch beach. We had a great time and the cottage had everything we needed. It was very cosy and well heated. Both the holiday company and caretaker were incredibly helpful and professional. We would return.
We wanted something special whilst celebrating our wedding anniversary and our first visit to Stirling. Springwood apartment did not disappoint. Palatial is our description, and so comfortable. So much room. Very handy for the town centre and all the local amenities and attractions. Very well decorated and furnished, in all aspects.
Comfortable, well equipped cottage in ideal location for Inverness area. Wi-fi was unstable which wasn't a problem for us but may be for others that can't live without it. Our only concern was when our 3 year old grandson stayed with us and the fully glazed doors in the living area.
We had a wonderful holiday at Balorrin, the location is fantastic and the house is very spacious and well equipped. I would definitely recommend this for a family trip!
The moment we got to Inverness it was and always will be the best place to visit . my family had been coming to Scotland for the past 30 years and we love every moment. Thanks to Gail Holiday homes it made our stay even better. Thank you so much my family had a wonderful time. Your apartment is one of the nicest place we ever stayed . keep it up/ Once again thank you very much. Until next time. Sincerely Claudia Laurence and family
A great, well equipped property - would highly recommend to anyone visiting Aviemore, and looking for a holiday apartment.
Cosy, comfortable and really well located accomodation, really enjoyed my stay.No problems with access, only slight minus was noise from fridge ,all else good ,bed really comfortable ,good selection of books and DVDs available for relaxation.Thank you for nice stay .
Overall we enjoyed our stay here, but were disappointed about the amount of dog hair. I appreciate the house is pet friendly but the amount of dog hair would suggest the property hadn't been cleaned adequately. We had two small children playing on the floor and they were covered in it. There was dog hair floating in the air and an on worktops etc. I'm guessing the large rug in the living room hadn't been hoovered thoroughly and during our stay the amount of dog hair seemed to increase as it was disturbed. We would also suggest including more dishware. The property sleeps 6 but there we...more
No problems, great place to stay, very comfortable, nicely decorated. Found Dornoch good location for exploring northern Scotland.
What a brilliant stay again at these apartments. First time in this one but have stayed in all of the others they have. Superb decor and the view was excellent. Highly recommend.
We really enjoyed staying here for 3 nights and used it as a base to explore Inverness and the surrounding area. The place is warm and is situated in a surprisingly quiet street not too far from the A9 and easy to find. Each day we were able to get a parking spot in the street either right outside or quite near the apartment. It is well located and so is just a short walk from shops, supermarkets, restaurants etc on both sides of the River Ness. It had all the faciities we needed (e.g. laundry, cooker, etc) and was very comfortable. The price was very reasonabe too. Heating: the centr...more
The location of this apartment is excellent just a couple of minutes walk into the city. It has a nice little bar at the end of the street. The apartment is well enough equipped with all necessary requirements. The only problem we had was the pillows and duvet could do with being replaced. Pillows were very uncomfortable. As we were staying more than 5 days we understood the towels would have been changed but did not happpen which was a bit disappointing. Otherwise everything else was fine and enjoyed our stay.
The apartment has been furnished with quality goods and is very comfortable. It has all mod cons expected. I can recommend renting this property
Excellent stay, business stay very close to the hospital. Very clean nice apartment. Drains slightly smelly when first walked in but after couple of days was ok.
Wonderful cottage Easy to locate All items needed stocked in the home. Made for a comfortable short stay.
Great location. Walkable from the train. Easy to walk to town and tours and to take a run along the river. Spacious with balcony.
family of 5 stayed during easter holidays. Apartment felt very homely from day 1. Great having x 3 shower rooms especially having 3 children. Great views from the balcony over the Nairn Dunbar golf course and of course the beautiful Moray Firth. Kitchen has everything you require- microwave, oven, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine( although property was advertised as having washer/dryer so this needs changing). Nice towels, clean bed linen, hand soaps, dishwasher tabs etc all provided. Hive controlled gas central heating with combi boiler so keeps property very cosy. My only tiny ...more
We were very impressed with the standard of the accommodation with all needs considered and look forward to a return visit.
One of the matelas in the two bed bedroom is really bad for the back. One of us suffered every night. Everything else was nice. Thanks.
Location for tye golf course is as good as it gets. Its a very good size whixh benefits form a separate dinning room plus a kitchen dinner. The only improvement is upping the power on the ensuite shower.. not sure what the family one was like.
We have stayed here on many occasions and find the location and ambience meets our expectations. Better now with wi-fi installed. Love watching the small birds feeding in the garden.
The Steading is an excellent place to stay in Inverness. The level of comfort is very high, everything has been well thought out and it is wonderfully quiet. Bathroom, kitchen, lounge all beautifully fitted out, very modern, with everything you could think of. It is also very convenient for walking into the town centre or accessing the river, both approx 15 minutes. Highly recommended!
We had a lovely weekend in this comfortable, clean apartment. We were attending wedding, and were just across road from hotel and church and in easy walking distance of all shops and lovely walks down Ness bank. Bought a lovely Sunday dinner from m&s, only thing we missed was salt&pepper, would have been nice if provided . Lovely dishes to serve it on and everything else I needed for cooking. Owners were very friendly & helpful.
This is a large house so plenty of space for a number of people. We found the property very clean and I have high standards. As previously mentioned there is no cupboard space for food storage but we just cleared a large shelf which was adequate. Parking at front of house was convenient and it was only a 2 or 3 minute walk to the beach.
Cottage was very clean and well equipped. The location was perfect for us, close to the beach and within driving distance of some great visitor sites. Gardens were well kept and would be lovely to sit out in (Scottish weather permitting). Very kind of the owners to leave guide books, local maps and information for reference. Only point to criticise would be lack of control given to guests to control the heating in the property. We were there during a particularly cold week in May (down to 1/2 degrees C in the evenings) and with all the heaters locked and set at between 16 & 18 degrees it mad...more
Ideal location, very tasteful decoration and comfortable sitting area. Good vifi. Good king size bed and duvet, . Generally, quite clean and very pleasant. · Double bed would benefit from larger, warmer duvet. Poor selection of cooking pans - great quality but only two lidded pans, a tiny sauce pan and a frying pan. No cooking equipment such as bowls, oven trays and dishes, grater. Parking space unavailable though included in booking agreement was a total pain and inconvenience, causing a lot of problems for two oldies, one of whom is registered disabled. Cleaning company needs to be super...more
Very comfortable and spacious log cabin. Everything you need for a relaxing stay. Could be doing with more hooks for outdoor jackets and clothes etc in the hall and bedrooms. Fridge a bit small for provisions for 6 people (we were only 4). All in all we had a great stay.
Comfort with a capital C sums up number 54. Everything you need for a relaxing break is there , a lovely welcome pack of yummy biscuits , milk , coffee and tea just hit the spot as they say , plus a table and chairs outside on the veranda to sit and enjoy the tranquility of the area. The weather was beautiful so we enjoyed every minute of our stay, thank you Lisa for your help with the tv and we can certainly recommend No 54 as a comfortable Caravan in a beautiful location hope to be back in the not to distant future . Catherine & Paul
This is a great location. You could walk into town for cafes and restaurants. Safe foot paths Only 20 mins or so to wildlife park and Landmark. Great for children all on one level also super hot tub for adults This is our second visit to this house
really confortable in the middle of the town, nice deco and good quality beds help you to sleep well in the night you can find all to have a good time in the city
The house is clean, warm and overall great. However the sofas are well worn and require replacing, the utility room is an airing cupboard with nowhere to actually hang outdoor clothes to dry, and there is not a separate washing machine and dryer - just a washer/dryer.
Nice property, great location especially if you have a car. Good base for Cairngorms, nature reserves, etc. Red Squirrel visited garden, deer outside garden. Fairly close to local shops, etc. Would definitely go again if we visit Highlands.
I should really give this place a poor ref .. so it's stays a secret gem !! But I can't because it is !! Stayed lots now .Never disappointed !!
We spent a few nights over the festive season in this beautiful dwelling. It is lovely to see that, over the years that we have stayed, the owners upkeep their home regularly and with great flair for a calming décor. It is very functional, in a super location and ever so peaceful. We love staying here :-) thank you
We had a brilliant holiday especially helped by the weather. Beautiful part of Scotland and Chalet was perfect. Can't think of anything bad to say.
Lovely cottage, beautiful location only downside was the mattresses on double and single beds were too hard and lack of additional pillows (we had to purchase an extra 3 pillows). Also sofa feathers were coming out of cushions and lack of bulbs in the the bedroom lamps. In addition there was no welcome pack which normally come as standard with Gael Holiday Cottages, once again apart from these niggles we had a lovely holiday in a fantastic cottage.
I stayed 3 nights with elderly family this house was ideal access was easy, there were a couple of steps however they were very easy to climb for the slightly less able in the party. The living area and bedrooms were very comfortable, and the kitchen was outstanding for a rental property with everything you could possibly need and more.
The property was perfect for our family holiday, the different spaces, comfortably furnished, (not too precious) allowed our family all the room we needed. The garden was excellent, accessible and full of interest. A separate well equipped laundry room was ideal as we were preparing to attend a wedding. The location was brilliant, there was too much to do for all ages from our doorstep. Minor hitch, dishwasher tablets did not dissolve in the machine and dinner plates too large to go into the dishwasher.
Location good although very disappointed with all the oil rigs Bed comfortable but extremely squeaky which wakes you up when you move Wok and frying pan need replacing badly scrapped/burnt The accommodation was very clean, comfortable and pleasant, the area is very pretty and quite, both ound on the village provide food, locals really friendly, ideal break for couples but tad boring for children
