On entering Terra Verde our first thoughts were WOW. The bungalow is fabulous. One big lounge, kitchen and dining area. With every possible kitchen item you could possibly want. Lovely comfortable sofas. Outdoor patio. The bedrooms lovely and spacious. Everything was so well put together. So clean and perfect. Congratulations to Isabel. Perfect.
cosy cottage, well situated and well equipped silent environment even though near high street with shops
We felt at home as soon as we walked in. They had everything we needed. Scenery was amazing and so peaceful. We can't wait to return. Mary from Falkirk
.there was 4 of us there .very comfortable home . definitely come back.and let people know about it .neighbors where very friendly as well.eeather was great couldn't ask for any better.
Really lovely home. Very cosy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Lots to do and see in the area. Pub next door has excellent food.
We had a fantastic stay at Culmaily. The house was immaculate and perfectly equipped for a family stay. Meeting the spring lambs was a highlight! We’ll definitely be back
Nice cozy accommodation with a location that couldn’t be beat. Great restaurants so close, grocery store that couldn’t be closer and easy access to downtown. The cottage is small but comfortable and quiet even though everything is within easy walking distance. Seriously, you could throw a baseball to everything you need.
This house looks fantastic in the pictures but it's even better in person. Location and views are unbeatable. House itself is very spacious with the underflooring heating and log burner giving a really cosy atmosphere. Fully equipped and furnished to a high standard. I can't fault this place at all - thank you to the owner for giving us the chance to stop in such a beautiful place A*******
The cottage was larger and better than expected from the photos. Was very clean and had everything we needed except there was no outside garden furniture. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of parking. Amazing views.
I booked a one week stay in Aviemore with family. Gael holidays were very accommodating as the booking was made quite close to when I required it. They made sure I completely understood everything beforehand. Service was excellent. They gave extra guidance via app incase there were any issues with finding the location. We found it no problem. The apartment was clean, tidy and very spacious. Felt like we were at home. The views of the Cairngorms was exceptional. Everything we required was already available especially in the kitchen. We had a slight issue with the hot water however this was...more
The steading is in a fantastic location for exploring the north of Scotland, and should be a must stay for any large groups playing Royal Dornoch. The facilities are excellent, the ability to park multiple cars, have 12 people sleep comfortably, cook, eat and lounge all in the vast grounds and building makes the trip a delight. Would re book in an instant, and will likely be back yearly!
We really enjoyed our stay at Springfield in Dornoch. The apartment is spacious, clean and close to local amenities i.e. shops, cafes and restaurants. Furniture and fittings are tasteful, good quality and comfortable. Lovely views over fields to the rear of the property where we viewed various wild birds, geese and deer. There are plenty of walking routes to explore from the property or a short car journey away. Gael Holiday Homes provided an excellent service promptly confirming our booking, giving notice when payments were due and providing access and contact details for our stay.
I stayed here with my daughter to walk a few Munros and enjoy the local area - it was a random find and very glad that I did. I'd have to say that it is the nicest holiday cottage I've ever stayed in. It has been completely renovated to a very high standard, and is very well presented throughout. It has absolutely everything needed, and feels more like staying in a friends house than a soulless rental. The setting of the cottage and the outside space have also been done very well. There's a lovely garden, outside seating and very handy parking. We also saw the owners, who were very p...more
It may look small when you initially arrive however once you open the door you are treated to a tardis, plenty of space for 2 adults. Extremely clean and beautifully decorated through out. I especially loved the thistle flower display. Large back garden from where you can see Dunrobin Castle in the distance, a view replicated from the bedroom window. I will be recommending this cottage to all family and friends. You do need a car to get around if you want to explore the beautiful scenery and visit the towns/villages. The beach is just a short walk away from the cottage and is stunning...more
We stayed for a week in Thistledown in July. Although the weather wasnt the best, the apartment is excellent. Immaculately clean, everything you need, lovely welcome pack. One minor negative is that the bedrooms are pretty small, but the rest of the living space is more than adequate. We were left to our own devices, but did have reason to contact the owners who are close at hand should you need them. They were very respectful of our space, but very helpful too. Would highly recommend Thistledown as a place to stay in Dornoch.
We had a lovely stay at Robina’s house. The house was so clean an comfortable. Beds were very comfy. The house was great for exploring the area on our bikes. Had a lovely meal at the local hotel. The owner was really easy to contact. It is one of the best houses we have stayed in. Would recommend it to others. Thank you for a great stay.x
I booked this on behalf of 4 colleagues who were working in the local area. The guests confirmed that it was the best accommodation they have had since working away from home.
Lovely lovely stay at Barron House in Nairn. Had the best weekend exploring the coast, went paddle boarding, dolphin spotting, swimming & lots of lovely meals.
The lodge was fantastic and a perfect location for anyone seeking quiet and comfort after a day of visiting the city and nearby attractions. The on-site kitchen was perfect for preparing late night meals and a quick breakfast. Accessing and checking out were extremely easy to do.
We really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and it had everything we needed.zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Everything was perfect. All clean and tidy, and 1st class support from Emma. Only comment I would make is there is some confusion over refuse and recycling. We put the recycling bin out along with the neighbours, and it wasn't collected. This may have been due to no Flat No. On the bins. There also only seemed to be two bins, as did everyone else. So didn't know how glass, plastic, paper, organic and general rubbish, should be segregated.
We had a party of 8 staying at Fernabeg over 4 days and were all delighted with the property. Well stocked with everything you need, plenty space, great location and even the weather was kind to us...we will be back!!! Thank you
Great private location, time to relax in a woodland setting. The hot tub was a wonderful addition. Superb facilities and all you could want for a short getaway.
We had a wonderful stay in Dail Daraich, we are a family of 5 and there was ample room for us. It was exceptionally clean and tidy and all the instructions for appliances were available to us. Very friendly host and made sure we knew she was available during our stay. Would love to stay again.
Lovely property with wonderful views. Very well equipped with everything you could need. Comfortable beds and lovely bathrooms. Walking distance to Dornoch town centre which we did. Enjoyed it so much we have already booked for next year.
This house is stunning. Beautifully presented spacious three bedroom house with tasteful decor and quality furnishings. Centrally situated for easy access to all village amenities. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.
Had a lovely text from Nicola informing me the house was ready amd how she had set the heating . Flowers in a vase , milk , bread , butter , coffee , fruit bowl . Very much appreciated . Rebooked for next year . Thank you
No 9 Argyll is a luxury appointed three floor two bedroom flat in a prime location facing town. It is within comfortable walking distance to the golf club and the beach. The amenities are first class with all appliances one could use during a stay. A highly recommended place while visiting Dornoch.
We had a lovely week at Sunnyside, Culloden, even though we were sheltering from storm Babet for half the week. The house is very clean with a well equipped kitchen with an induction hob, which took a bit of figuring out, but once we had it was great. The welcome pack was a very pleasant surprise and the teenagers loved the Netflix during the storm. Inverness is just minutes away and there are loads of well stocked local shops close by.
We had a lovely week staying in Zenka. The flat was well presented, clean and tidy, has a well kitted out kitchen and has great views over the sea to Skye and the Outer Hebrides. The owners live downstairs and are lovely people. Redpoint beaches are only 15 minutes away and have always been favourites of ours. We got to enjoy sea eagle soaring above the far beach, and had it all to ourselves. We saw golden eagles on our adventures in the Fisherfield and Torridon mountains (30 & 45 minutes drive) and Gairloch isn't far away. Badachro is only a 30 minute walk away too - which is great.
3 of us plus the dog had a great stay here. Perfect size accommodation in a great location. Would definitely stay again.
We loved every minute spent at Ardshellach . Well equipped and spotlessly clean . So cosy with open fire and wonderful views. The grandchildren loved the garden. Oban only a few miles by car but we used the well stocked shop in Benderloch. Everything was perfect for us , highly recommend and will definitely return .
We had a wonderful time. Especially Dunrobin castle . The walks are great and the local distillery was very interesting.
Excellent location for touring the area. Lovely views. Comfortable & very well equipped cottage. Would recommend to others.
Super cottage! Ideally situated with private parking-very unusual in Fishertown. Super cosy and comfy .
Prime location if a little noisy especially in early morning as on the main road into Tain town centre. Windows are original case and sash so this is probably why. Lovely furnished. Main bed wasn’t very comfy but maybe that was just us. Quite hard. Nice welcome pack in kitchen and logs etc for the fire. Our dogs loved the garden and if weather had been better we could have to! We did have a small issue but was dealt with very efficiently and quickly. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.
The cottage was excellent, tastefully decorated, with lots of extras. The position is ideal for exploring the Highlands as it is situated on the edge of Golpsie.
Accommodation in excellent location with beautiful views of the sea and McDuff. Apartment spacious and very comfortable and it’s a pleasure to stay there.
The apartment was beautifully furnished with very comfortable beds. The kitchen was well appointed with equipment and dishes. The view - amazing. We enjoyed watching the city and river over the days we stayed. Having a parking space was a much appreciated amenity.
I used to work in Inverness so knew the street, however it took ages to actually find the apartment especially in the dark. I think it would be most helpful to maybe have a sticker with 41 on the window beside the key box. Personally speaking i prefer bath sheets so would probably take towels with me the next time. These are the only negatives we had. The positives are too many to list but I have to mention how comfortable the bed in the ensuite room was. We both slept really well. The apartment was fabulous, very clean and well equipped. Location was excellent, so quiet but handy ...more
Perfect in every category. Have been before and will certainly be back again. Need more characters in my review but I have said it all. Faultless.
23 Fairfield Lane is an ideal place to stay for an Inverness visit. It is within walking distance to shops and many attractions.
This property was amazing in every way! Super clean, convenient, very well appointed....just everything. Communication with manager/owner was excellent. I think we used every appliance and heater and all worked excellently. We cooked own breakfast each day and 2x for dinner. The washer/dryer was a bonus for the 2 small loads for the week. Weren't sure we would use the fireplace in the living area but it was such a nice feature we used it every night. We were on a golf holiday but it is convenient to everything in town. Will 100 percent stay here in future!
We had a wonderful stay in Inverdruie. Accommodation was lovely and spacious. Only drawback was the heat pump/ water heater made banging sounds through the night, which disrupted sleep of family in the 3rd bedroom on occasion.
The Old Library is a lovely house for a family of upto 6 people. Excellent location including the beautiful beach nearby. Comfortable and clean. It would have been helpful if the washing machine was a washer dryer so that you could dry clothes in wet weather when you couldn’t hang them out. Otherwise there was everything needed for a good family holiday.
Such a well equipped property. Lovely furnishings and decor so thoughtul. Would certainly recommend this lovely holiday apartment.
Excellent property and location. Could not fault it. Great for beach walks and Balintore Inn worth visiting for supper.
This is a lovely cottage in quite area and I can only imagine how how pretty it is when the gorse is in bloom.
Our stay was great from start to finish. The host Simon couldn’t have been more helpful during our stay. Fantastic place and service.
The Black Isle is a new area for us, chosen for its reputation as a bird watching site. The incoming winter migrants are spectacular and the coastline beautiful. The area is also historically significant and interesting. Braefoot cottage is ideally placed to make the most of a relaxing holiday.
Excellent property, well equipped, clean and warm, Great location for cycling and walking. lots of wild life to see.
We have stayed there twice now & both times it has been excellent & hope to stay again soon. A lovely house in a beautiful location & everyone is always very helpful.
Although quite a way out of town, the apartment has everything you need, is clean and well appointed, and is a very pleasant place to stay
Very comfortable and welcoming, couldn't ask for more. Only drawback was the speed of traffic going past entrance and hedge blocking view on puling out onto onto one lane road
Lovely holiday accommodation . Had everything you would need and more.very clean and comfortable. Great views and central to all local amenities. Would definitely recommend.
Another great long weekend in Caledon. The house was clean, comfortable and handy for walking to the shops, bars and restaurants. Looking forward to returning.
What a stunning location, the cabin is very good but the fridge could do with being a bit larger as you can only get a days food in. The loch has no trout which was very disappointing, maybe due to otters? But very good, new hot tub which was a bonus
Stayed here same time 2022 & were very happy so stayed again. However the property was a let down this year. There were a number of maintenance issues; it wasn’t clean (where last year it was spotless) & we had to get the cleaning firm back to clean the bathroom (we cleaned the kitchen ourselves). We have contacted Gael Holidays directly with details of all the issues. We do not feel it was value for money given all the problems.
We very much enjoyed our stay over the New Year. Apartment was 1st class in all aspects. The spiral stairs to my mind were a bit unsafe. A small grumble we had was fixed instantly, very efficient. Would definetly return ! Well done to all for making our stay enjoyble.
Flat was well located for our stay and having a car park space was handy. The flat itself was clean and having a washer/dryer for the duration of our stay was helpful. The cleaner was flexible with slightly earlier checkin and later check out, which was handy for our arrival and departure times.
Bowlins is a lovely cottage with all home comforts catered for . Warm and cosy on cold winter nights the wood burning fire was brilliant. Situated close to Nethy woodland walks, it is the ideal spot to enjoy those walks leaving the car at home.
Second stay - home from home. Very comfy bed and sofas. Well equipped and would highly recommend to anyone.
This high quality pet-free bungalow is an ideal base for exploring the area. The owner provided many thoughtful touches which we appreciated.
Six of us stayed in the house, three generations. The house was suitable and met our needs. The garden is fully enclosed so children could play safely. The house was fully equipped and centrally situated to all amenities. Plenty of space in the house so we did not feel cramped.
Lovely house.in quiet location. Everything you could ever need for a short break was there! House was very clean, good quality bedlinen and towels. Free WiFi! TV reception wasn't very good but you don't go to Dornoch to watch TV!
We enjoyed our stay at 2 Mackay Road for the 2nd straight year. The house has everything one needs and is very comfortable.
Great location with bakery and supermarket market close. Made you feel like a local. Also a nice walk to city center. Very spacious, clean and didn’t lack anything. Thank you
Our fourth stay here and we really like it. Position is perfect, with great views dothe Firth and wonderful sunsets. A comfortable, quiet and clean property, well equipped and close to all amenities. We'll recommended.
Looking from the outside you would think it’s a bit old and dated But wow once through the door it is beautifully modernised Nice central location Very clean Would definitely book again
Excellent standard of accommodation and location was ideal to an area we know very very well. Will definitely consider booking again. Minor issue with heating which was resolved within 1 hr....really good service on that point although another issue remained unresolved ( cold radiator) despite the agent and owner being informed. I have knocked a couple of stars off for the customer service Other than that, what a great house
The caravan was presented in fabulous condition. The facilities of the caravan were excellent. Only an uncomfortable sofa and bed were the only minor down sides but overall our stay was very enjoyable and I would happily stay again. Dornoch is a lovely place.
Beautiful apartment with stunning views. Had a wee problem with the shower and Gillian very quickly arrived and solved it , a lovely friendly lady. Found the sofa and armchair very uncomfortable but that is our only criticism.
The Black Isle is a little oasis which hummed with the sounds of harvest in the fields. The lodge had superb views to the Cromarty Firth from the lounge, and walks in the forest behind. The house had everything needed. Comfy beds, good shower, clean and warm. We were out most days exploring. Enjoyed the Cromarty- Nigg ferry trip, walking Ben Wyvis.
The property was averagely good and perfectly acceptable. On arrival we parked by the property which appeared the natural space. Almost immediately a male neighbour came out shouting very aggressive we can’t park near the property it’s his spaces etc. very angry. This dampened spirits and very off putting. Had we been older or unused to calming an angry person I would have been in tears. For that reason, I’d not recommend.
Dun Brae is a charming, beautifully decorated cottage. I loved all the paintings and prints (I personally feel there is no such thing as too many pictures on a wall.), and I thoroughly enjoyed looking at all the lovely collectibles. The cottage is comfortable and very well equipped. We had a very enjoyable stay. I did think the arrival and departure times were a bit stringent.
Another great week in this lovely property, as long as you can manage the stairs the location is perfect, and its remarkably quiet and relaxed. Thank you
Balorrin exceeded our expectations, the cottage was very spacious, warm and cosy. It was equipped to a very high standard and had everything to make your stay a home form home. Beds were comfortable and plenty if hot water. Owners were nearby if there were any problems and came to say a friendly hello. It was easy to access nearby villages and best of all, great walks straight from the door in beautiful countryside.
We have stayed here a few times and each time we enjoy our time in this apartment. Siting room very comfortable and bed very comfy No complaints Would definitely recommend Mervyn and Daphne
Great apartment the view was amazing had everything we needed...definitely book again..location was great...
We had a lovely week stay and would consider going again. First morning couldn’t regulate the heating very cold, we used the contact number and within ten minutes someone arrived and sorted the controls, warm and cosy for the rest of our stay. The cottage is situated in a very quiet area and with quite easy access to the west coast and other places of interest.
Every thing was first class, possibly could do with a DVD player? One of the best properties we have stayed in.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rathad an Drobhair. We loved the views from the house and the beautiful walks in the glen where the house is located. It is a really beautiful location. We felt very comfortable in the house and had everything we needed for our stay. We would happily return.
Excellent accomodation perfect for a weekend break apartment absolutely spotless will definitely be using again
Big house as advertised but cavernous and no character. Smells dreadful with damp, old linen and towels. Carpets filthy, drains blocked from not being cleared - showers overr weflowing within on seconds. Stove thick with sticky grease and oil dripping from overhead fan when cooking. Outside seating areas unusable - Pond stinking with algae and scum making lower decking area unpleasant. Upper paved area has one garden bench-table which is rotting and paint peeling making it unusable. Bins full to the brim - unable to put out any trash. Thoroughly unenjoyable stay and couldn’t wait to leave.
Lovely 3 bedded home. Very clean and comfortable for 6 people. Could be doing with a bigger couch for 6 people but we made it work. Lovely garden for the dogs and great hot tub to relax in while it’s so cold outside. Only a small walk to Colyumbridge hotel and a 5 min drive to the centre of Aviemore. Street is lovely and quiet so great for a relaxing break. Great walk out the back garden in a wooded area which my dogs enjoyed and so did my 4 year old. Only a small negative was that while we were there the temperatures dipped to -6 outside and the heating in the house kept going off so the...more
This is our 5th time at the Steadings Great apartment, great location Great size for our 5 adult group Will defo be back Aviemore is a great location for a holiday any season of the year
We stayed here for 4 days over customs Christmas and it was an ideal location for walks and exploring. Well appointed, clean and comfortable. Fully enclosed back garden which was perfect for our two dogs. I had a few queries before we arrived and got very fast responses.
Booking was straightforward and staff at Gael Holiday Homes were fantastic to deal with. We had a great stay, the flat was immaculate and plenty space. We will definitely book again in future
Nice and well equipped apartment for 4 people. Very clean, warm and comfortable. Bit of a way from the centre but not really a problem.
After 2019 we stayed the second time in this nice apartment, about 3 miles from the center of Inverness, but there is a busstop very near bye. A good value for money. In the kitchen you will find all you need for cooking.
Our 3Night stay at all 404 was brilliant as usual. We love staying in the apartments so much we've done for the last 9 years.
A lovely location and an excellent base for our needs. The house was well equipped and clean. I would stay there again.
Lovely old house, great character and location, very spacious, clean and well-equipped. Down side was the double beds weren't very comfortable, slightly saggy - perhaps we've been spoilt by most properties in our recent experience having king size beds. And the two single beds had shiny, slippery bedding that our friends found a little unnerving. We were told by Tommy, the owner, that departure time was 10am, which was welcome as we thought it would be 9am. So it wasn't a great end to the week when cleaners arrived at 9.50am and were a little impatient for us to leave. But on balanc...more
Spent 4 days at this comfortable, warm flat ( minus 6 temps) which was well equipped, stylish and centrally located.
good place to stay very quite ........................................................................................................................................................................................................
Everything right at our doorstep. Convenient to the river, restaurants pubs, etc. we were able to walk everywhere. The balcony was a plus.
The flat was a home from home. The location was convenient for our needs. Very quiet and next to the river. No complaints at all.
Enjoyed our stay especially its location and parking. Bed was very comfortable. But some criticisms - only 3 plates and side plates and 1 sharp knife. Living room chairs are far too low for older people to get up. Shower and its entrance is far too narrow as is the toilet recess width. Bottom sheet was threadbare! No instruction manuals available for TV and satelite box, heating or dish washer so unsure how to operate them!
We were placed here after our accommodation had suffered damage in recent flooding in mid-Scotland. The accommodation was lovely and we had a good break despite the poor weather. Peter at Gael kept in touch with updates for finding us a place to stay. Given the circumstances all worked out well
The flat was very good, comfortable and close to the city centre and a supermarket. I recommend to stay there some days, if traveling alone or with your couple. The outside is beautiful, inside it’s good but it is not a “woow”. That’s the reason why I think It’s a little expensive comparing with other properties (but the prices were high in general).
This is basically a nice holiday home but two things let it down badly: 1. It is impossible to have a bath. You get little or no hot water coming through the bath taps. This is a big one for me. I like to relax in the bath after a day on the mountains in winter and I specifically booked this particular cottage because it had a bath. It was hugely disappointing not to be able to have a single bath throughout my stay. 2. The toilet in the comunal bathroom did not flush properly. We had to spend the whole week topping up the cistern before using the toilet. This was a ridiculous inconvenien...more
This is the last house on the road from Gairloch to Rubh Reidh lighthouse. Views are stunning and Gairloch is a busy wee town with a surprising amount to do. Don’t miss the museum. Lots of places to visit fairly close. We loved Badachro Distillery but Inverewe Gardens are very close as are the Russian Convoy and the WWI remains in and around Loch Ewe. Ullapool, Corriealloch Gorge and Torridon are all within an easy day drive. This area could be the best in Scotland for a quiet holiday that also has plenty to keep you occupied.
The second time we rented the house and we were satisfied again, it is perfect for a group of 6-8 people.
I have stayed at 7 Westercraigs on several previous occasions. I have always found it to be clean and comfortable. The en-suite shower room has been upgraded since I last visited, Very nice! Perhaps add a rubber mat on the floor of the shower? There are plenty parking spaces at, or near, the entrance to the property, and no passing traffic, so no noise!
pleasant stay in a quiet and comfortable apartment Small regret: complicated adjustment of the water temperature (often cold or very hot)
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Armadale House in Portmahamock. ............................................................................................................
Dead flys and spiders all over the property on one window sill alone we had to clean off 12 flys. In the lounge there was rain heavily dripping through the ceiling and a puddle of water on the large window sill. Some cutlery and dishes were dirty when we took them out of the kitchen cupboards . The whole house smells of damp and dust . The experience was very disappointing.
Lovely location & lovely house. Village has everything shop, excellent hairdresser & pub. If the house sleeps 5 then there should be enough for 5. Kitchen equipment insufficient & plateware nothing matched. Housekeeping questionable previous guests food and other belongings left.
