Really lovely comfortable apartment, spotlessly clean , great having private car park space with easy walk to centre of town , highly recommend
Delighted with our second visit to these apartments. Understood why cushions and so on had had to be removed. We had a happy week and could choose to eat in the flat or in a local restaurant. Rather strange that there were only 3 teaspoons in the drawer but we managed fine! Washer/dryer took a bit of figuring out as there was no instruction booklet and it is nothing like our separate machines. Again, we managed fine. Searched everywhere for used linen bag but none to be found so wrapped everything in a sheet. Wish the keypads in and outside the underground parking lit up in the dark. With...more
This apartment is spacious, light and very well maintained. It is the perfect base for exploring Inverness and the surrounding area. It is situated in a lovely residential area, just five minutes walk away from the town centre. We stayed here for a week and felt very at home.
Had a really nice weeks stay at the Black rock cottage, about a 20 mins drive from Inverness. At a time of concern with regards to covid-19, we need not have worried. Everything needed was provided by Stella, with the cottage being really clean, and an immaculate garden an added bonus. On a side note, The BT wifi was REALLY good...just like being at home.
Another fantastic stay at Grant Crescent. It just feels like home from home! Wonderful facilities (and surroundings!).
Wonderful and snappy brand new lodgings in the heart of Dornoch. Absolutely beautiful and complete. Hosts respond quickly to any questions and are very friendly. Easy walk to beach. This is the spot...I only fear that they will always be full and I will never be able to book again.
We spent a week at 18 The Meadows as a base for exploring northern Scotland. It is a few minutes walk into the lovely town centre....with shops, restaurants etc...yet very quiet and peacful. Ample parking, comfy beds and up to date kitchen amenities such as fridge freezer/dishwasher etc make it ideal for self catering . We have stayed in dozens of holiday homes and this is one of the best and would definitely recommend this to anyone .
We stayed for 4 nights recently and this cottage was just lovely. Totally spotless and beautifully well equipped. The directions were great and there is plenty of parking just outside. Location is super for Inverness, just a short taxi ride into town for an evening meal out. We needed to contact June the owner and both she and her daughter were lovely and really helpful. The sun shone, the skies were blue and we had a lovely break, thank you.
We had a lovely stay at Oran Mor. The accommodation is excellent and the views are amazing. A wonderful location.
We highly recommend the Hive. It is a lovely,modern,well-equipped flat which is so well situated in the centre of the charming town of Dornoch. Everything is so easily accessed from The Hive —— the beach, the golf course and the many great walks in and around Dornoch. An added bonus is the super cafe ———Milk and Honey beneath the flat which we loved and frequented on a daily basis. We will be booking The Hive again for 2021 as we were so impressed!
Banff may be a little sleepy place somewhat off the beaten track, but if you make this your base for a Scotland trip, we doubt that you can find a better place to stay than at the Granary. Apartment 8 was spacious and well equipped with pretty much everything you needed at any occasion - oddly squeezed in between the cemetery, the police station and the constantly changing seashore. Please go a little lighter on all the artificial scent sticks placed everywhere - those are terrible if you're allergic to chemical scents. But otherwise only good things to be said.
Our hosts were excellent and were in touch in the lead up to our arrival which helped us out. We had a great introduction to the property upon arrival and our needs were catered for throughout.
This was our second stay at Raasay and we are already booked for next year. If you golf, enjoy beaches, and the lure of a beautiful old market town, you can’t beat Dornoch and Raasay!
We have recently returned home after our second stay at Ardshellach. The location, overlooking Loch Etive, is fabulous. Ardshellach is in a quiet spot but only 2 miles from a local shop and about 8 from bustling Oban. The garden is large, level and very well maintained. The house is a comfortable, spacious and homely family home, with all necessary mod cons. We would thoroughly recommend it.
Wonderful property with everything you could ask for. Great welcome from the hosts, attentive and available but never intrusive. The location is excellent right in the centre of town and the deli downstairs has everything and more for your stay. The property is beautifully decorated, clean and very large inside. The 3 rooms gave our family comfort and privacy and the large kitchen / lounge was a great place to come together. Thoroughly recommend this property for a stay in Dornoch which is a great base for relaxing, touring, golfing and has some decent restaurants too. The best feedback I can...more
A REALLY NICE PLACE AWAY FROM CROWDS WHICH WAS GOOD IN THIS PRESENT SITUATION. NICE VIEWS OVER THE BAY OUT TO THE ISLE OF SKYE. GAIRLOCH WAS THE BIGGEST TOWN AROUND FOR MILES ,HAS EVERYTHING YOU NEED PLUS THE MYRTLE BANK HOTEL WELL WORTH A VISIT. FOR A QUIET HOLIDAY ITS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Braevellie is perfectly located for an easy walk to all attractions in Inverness. The apartment is finished to a very high standard, and has everything you would need for your stay. Spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished, and light and airy. Claire is a most efficient and helpful host.
This bungalow was in pristine condition & had everything you needed even down to providing sanitation.gloves, door sanitation etc to cover all for this Covid 19 Well done all. We had a wonderful time there-peace & tranquility if you want a peaceful holiday but all the amenities for travelling to Inverness-Nairn -The Black Isle & many more are just a short drive away. We will look forward to our next visit there
A great place to stay to explore the black isles and beyond, owner knowledgable about the surrounding area. Covid-19 award and all precautions in place.
we had a fantastic holiday in this house, it was modern, warm and very comfortable. It was very well equipped and sparkling clean. Thank you
Almost don’t want to share this place! Perfect location for Inverness, beaches, walks, birdwatching and such a beautiful, peaceful place to come back to each day. Very welcoming hosts, tea, coffee milk and biscuits on arrival and spotlessly clean. So looking forward to our return. Carol and John.
A great apartment. Well positioned a short walk to Inverness town centre the flat is in very nice and quiet area. I was staying in the area for business purposes and it proved to be an ideal location to visit Loch Ness, a distillery or two and the surrounding area. An excellent alternative to a hotel and better value.
We had a great stay in Aviemore. The property was comfortable, well equipped, spotlessly clean and had great views. Nice quiet location makes it ideal for families.
Our stay was fantastic. It was great accommodation, well presented and very spacious. We had a really good time staying at the Caledon and it was a good location, out of the way but close enough to walk anywhere we needed.
We really enjoyed our stay at Harbour view. The house was very comfortable and the location was excellent. We especially loved the snug room off the kitchen. A fantastic place to relax with an amazing view of the harbour. My teenage daughter loved the bedroom with ensuite bathroom at the top of the house.
This cottage is centrally placed. Two minutes from town centre. Only downside is non permit holders parking outside cottage meant we had difficulty parking when we arrived. once they moved at tea;time we were able to shift our car. During term time it is noisy with school just behind it.
Three of us travelled up to Dornoch for a week of golf. We were greeted with an immaculately clean house with clean bedding and towels. Use of the washing machine, dishwasher and sky television were fantastic and much appreciated. We will be looking to book here again
We had a great week at The Oystercatcher, Nairn - thank you! We had good communication with the holiday company, both by email & telephone; directions were very clear; the key safe worked well; the accommodation & parking were all as described & as in photos; plenty hot water & heating easy to adjust; quiet area. Had a couple of minor issues which were dealt with very quickly by the local contact. Lovely views from the balcony. Sadly not quite warm enough for us to sit out much. Several walks available directly from the property - east towards & into Culbin Forest, west into Nairn town c...more
This was my second visit to the cottage in just over a year. I was anticipating having family with me but due to circumstances beyond our control I came alone, but that was fine. Beautiful place to be, very welcoming and cosy with everything you could possibly need. The one change I would suggest is to have a small freezer installed, if you're not aware of one being there you may end up with wasted shopping if you bought en route.
Wonderful location for walks with spectacular views. The Old Stables is very well equipped, comfortable and spacious. We had an amazing time. The only problem we had was with the oven. It worked fine but the temperature markings have been rubbed off so it made setting the temperature of the oven very interesting. This was the only issue we had, everything else was perfect. Would definitely recommend this property.
This was the first time we had rented in Dornoch and we could not have chosen a better house. Fantastic views over the Firth and close enough to all the local areas of interest. We would definitely come back to Dornoch again and stay here. Perfect !!
Very impressed with this property and we had a great family stay. Some essentials provided for on arrival were appreciated, the owner dropped in to show us how to use the facilities all of which were in excellent working order. We came prepared with pound coins for the electricity meter and probably spent about £4 per day during a particularly cold period. The children loved the wooden construction and the bunk beds. A really good location from which to head out to nearby Balintore beach and longer trip to stunning Dornoch beach.
Loved our two weeks in this beautiful cottage. The garden was an absolute delight, both front and back with amazing views over the Dornoch Firth. It was lovely both for sitting in the sun but also for our two grandsons playing - lots of space for them. Super location - 3 minutes by car from town centre and 10 minutes walk from the beach
Our second visit to this cottage, love the location. Very nice for a short, relaxing break. Nice Hotel next door for food and more very good places to eat around and about. Lovely log fire which we enjoyed immensely. Would go back again.
We were only on a four night break. We found the park clean and tidy attractive and well cared for. The caravan was comfortable and homely. I did find it a bit amusing though, that in a folder INSIDE the caravan, were very clear instructions on how to unlock the key safe. Perhaps guests could be armed with this information BEFORE arrival. Due to the current Covid crisis things are of course difficult, but we would have appreciated clearer instructions on what was expected of us to be posted clearly in the caravan, rather than little notes within the bedroom wardrobe.
No hesitation in recommending this amazing property. Very pleased, super clean, super comfy, lovely accommodation!
Amazing place, peace, views ,walks and tranquility beyond words, great hosts and area, basically it was perfect
The house was well located and situated in a lovely quiet street. The house itself was comfortable and clean with plenty facilities for a family of 5 and catered for all ages. Would highly recommend this property and would visit again.
We stayed for 5 nights with our 3 year old son. Wonderful location, a well-equipped, clean and tastefully decorated holiday cottage. We hope to return next year!
This property was in a excellent location for exploring the surrounding area. It was a well equipped property and was very comfortable. Would highly recommend.
Fantastic, well equipped house with easy access to beach, forest trails and Dornoch. Full enclosed garden with fruit trees facing Dornoch Firth. House was very comfortable and kitchen also well equipped. Would definitely recommend especially if you have dogs.
Clean, comfortable and great parking. Perfect place to stay when visiting Inverness and surrounding area. Quiet neighbourhood and very handy for supermarket and petrol station.
Great position in Nethy ,so easy walking all the great walks . The house is very well kept and clean .has a fire if needed.we didn’t.
I strongly recommend castle heather Great hospitality . Only problem that faced was travel to most popular destinations takes about 2.45 hrs
A very comfortable and clean place to stay. All fixtures and fittings are good quality. Pam is an excellent host.
This was an excellent property to stay at in Inverness, location was fantastic, facilities in the flat were very good, upstairs neighbours, however, were loud!
This is a lovely flat in Inverness to make as your base. Only ten minutes from the town centre. The flat was excellent for our needs, spotlessly clean and also due to COVID-19 there was plenty supplies Of antibacterial products left for our use. Would highly recommend staying here, it’s in a quiet area.
This flat is centrally located and very well kept. The kitchen, however, offers only basic and low-quality equipment compared to other Scottish rentals I stayed in. There was not even a tin opener. Apart from that, I can fully recommend Tomnahurich Apartment.
Dun Brae cottage is wonderfully located in the centre of charming Dornoch with superb beaches, shops, pubs and restaurants all a short walk away, as well as the famous golf course. The cottage is very well equipped, with good wi-fi and effective central heating. A delight!
Perfect home from home. 5* cottage with great views. The owner was very helpful both before & during our visit. Accessibility was very good. The only small criticism was that the bed was too low & my wife struggled to get up out of it each morning.
Stayed here a few times as we find it excellently located and usually to a high standard but a warping floor and inconsistent heating detracted from that this year
The Flat was immaculately clean and very spacious very modern with underfloor heating will def return
We wanted something special whilst celebrating our wedding anniversary and our first visit to Stirling. Springwood apartment did not disappoint. Palatial is our description, and so comfortable. So much room. Very handy for the town centre and all the local amenities and attractions. Very well decorated and furnished, in all aspects.
Our stay in Schotland (Highlands) was very pleasant. At the Balorrin house we had magnificent conditions to make everything great when we stayed there in the evening. With four bedrooms, two bathrooms and 7 beds we had a lot of space. The livingroom was very specious and had every comfort. The kitchen was very good utilitated so knocking was like a feast. If we go once more to the Highlands we will definitely book the Balorrin house again.
Hilary & Jim made us very welcome & were top hosts, The accomodation was spotless, quiet but central.
Central location of upstairs flat extremely convenient with added bonus of a parking permit too. Flat in good (lived in) condition and clean throughout. Gael Holiday homes were excellent to communicate with in relation to booking, etc.
The flat is in a good location, very convenient for shops/amenities and for pleasant evening strolls along Aviemore High Street. The flat was very comfortable and, in a compact space, had absolutely everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen and everything in it looked new, and the shower was great. This is a great option for a stay in Aviemore. My only slight niggle was that the grooves in the kitchen doors which served as the handles had clearly not been cleaned as all the grooves had grime right the way along. I would have thought that cleaning handles was an absolute prio...more
This is a great place to get away for a nice weekend and privacy. We loved the area and the people. Great.
We were really looking for a private bolt hole for a few days where we could read, fall asleep and read again if we felt like it. We didn’t want the restriction of a hotel room so this one bed very well equipped apartment was really perfect. It had excellent heating which was essential for a few days in the Scottish Highlands during February. All in all we loved it, would recommend it to anyone and would certainly return.
Excellent stay in very well located and equipped cottage. Stairs narrow and ceilings low upstairs as to be expected in an old cottage.
The apartment is modern and clean. The location is wonderful for easy access to the city and yet quiet. It’s great to have parking outside. The only issues are that the shower is just a trickle and the kettle lid is broken. The bed is comfortable. I’d book to stay here again if coming to Inverness.
Lovely apartment, ideal location for visiting Inverness. The under ground parking makes things so much easier
This was the perfect house for our getaway. It is right on the water with beautiful views and was ideal for the many walks we went on. We brought our 5mth old baby and dog and we were well provided for. We will definitely be booking this house again.
Stayed in the upstairs apartment last year so layout basically the same Apt clean tidy, nice and warm and in a great location but there was a strong smell of cats urine got some air fresheners that made the living room and bedroom ok but couldn’t get rid of the smell completely, the toaster left a lot to be desired and needs renewing and the cooker I suspect needs serviced as only half of the grill worked and the oven shut off on its own one time thought of calling the number we had for the apt but due to the time of year just made the best of it Would have no problem going back again if t...more
This was a lovely holiday home in a great location and a good size for our family of 3. The house was very clean and although the kitchen wasn't terribly well equipped it was explained that this was a requirement of the guidance for Covid. A few things would have made the stay more comfortable: there was no option to control the heating and the house did feel a little chilly some evenings. Also, there was nowhere to hang towels meaning that they were constantly wet. As there was no heat in the radiators there was no opportunity to dry them. Otherwise a lovely, comfortable house thank you.
Lovely cottage , Gorgeous design , clean and modern in an amazing location . We had such a wonderful stay celebrating our daughters birthday . Weather was stunning to be able to enjoy our stay at its best with Lots of lovely dog walks nearby . Definitely recommend!!
Cromarty is a wonderful little village - real sense of heart and very welcoming. The little coffee shack down the street is a wonderful local hangout with great coffee. And Sutors restaurant around the corner is utterly brilliant, even during Covid when they only do takeaway. But the apartment is also lovely. The big picture window grabs your attention immediately. Watching the sky and sea... could sit there for ages! Even the oil rigs have interest, although I look forward to a day when they are no longer necessary. The bed was a bit small and bouncy for two very tall people but that’s sadly ...more
Comforttable flat with a wonderful view to the sea. Perfekt equippt kitchen and a quite neigherhood.
Great location close to the amenities. Apartment was in good condition as well. Arrival instructions were clear and there was no confusion.
Premium price paid and upon initial entry looked a premium property. Early niggles only partly addressed - the non functioning kitchen wine chiller was not fixed, despite assurance from the representative it would be looked at during our stay. Numerous previous reviews indicated bed in master bedroom sub standard; it still is and the owner has not addressed this despite the reviews! Generally a well thought out property but unless ongoing issues not addressed I would not return or recommend to others given the high cost. You can get a better night's sleep in a Premier Inn at a much lower p...more
Four adults, a toddler and a dog all spent four nights in this property. It's the third time we've stayed here and is our "go to" property when we visit Aviemore. The property is set within a fully enclosed very large garden. This was necessary given the dog and toddler we had with us. The property is fully sticked and has all the white appliances you need. The hot tub was well used. Aviemore itself is a 20 minute walk away and the terrain is flat. We
This is a lovely lodge on a campsite just outside Aviemore. The accommodation is very new and well specified. The open plan lounge & kitchen is a bit small considering the property sleeps 8 but for our family of 4 this wasn’t an issue. It’s about 1.5 miles to walk into the main part of the town, there is a footpath though so it’s a good way to walk off your dinner on the way back.
Stayed here for 3 nights and the apartment is in an excellent location. It was spotlessly clean and we had no worries over cleanliness or safety measures during Covid. Face masks must be worn in all communal areas and hand sanitizer available at both entrances. Underground parking was fine but spaces quite narrow and not everyone sticks within the boundaries of their parking space which was annoying. The apartment itself has fantastic views of the castle and has everything you could need. The only improvement I would like to see is a blackout blind in the bedroom as we got woken early as s...more
Sunnybank is in a great location. Close to Dornoch beach and the town centre so you can walk to both within minutes. The property was clean, well kept and well equipped with everything you might need. A home from home.
This is our 6th visit to by the bridge apartments its our home from home, we will most certainly be back again soon. Thanks to Lisa at Gael Holidays for her help when we phoned the office the day we arrived, she was very helpful.
really satisfied except the lack of heating system the first morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a lovely flat in a great location. The accommodation was perfect for us and we will definitely stay again. Everything was really clean, modern and fresh. We could walk into town and round to the local bakery and deli for croissants and lunch. It was a last minute booking with Gael Holidays and it was really easy to book and all the information we got through was excellent.
Beautiful Flat right on the River Ness and the location was perfect as it is around 1 mile of the City Centre. The flat itself is beautifully furnished more than enough space for 4 adults. Personally we would have preferred harder mattresses on the beds but that is obviously a person preference. This being said I would definitely recommend staying here if you are in Inverness.
Gael Cham is a great wee cabin with plenty room for 6 people and it is an absolutely excellent place to spend a weekend in Aviemore and the Cairngorm mountains. The cabin is well furnished and modern, with 6 very comfortable beds, two good showers and a large kitchen/living room area. Would fully recommend 10/10.
Stayed for a week in January 2020. Highlights were - clean, modern bathroom - extremely comfortable bed - clean and well equipped kitchen and utility room low points - grounds and exterior felt a bit run down and were dimly lit at night - arriving on a wet January evening was not a welcoming experience - communal entrance hall is a bit shabby, needs updating - some noise from neighbouring flat at unsocial hours
This is a comfortable, well equipped apartment in an excellent location. Lots of information provided on the local area.
We had an excellent stay in Cromarty all the locals where all really friendly and helpful the food was excellent local bakery cheese shop pubs and independent shops All a real breathe of fresh air Smashing wee highland gem !
This surpassed all expectations. Very comfortable. Kitchen very well equipped. Loads of space. Would definitely book again. Loved it.
We have just had an amazing stay at 3 Delmhor .The house is very clean and well equipped with everything we could possibly need even tea ,coffee and milk in the fridge when we arrived . The owners are very helpful and always at the end of the phone should you need anything .We even had a visit from Jim ,Just after we arrived to check we were ok with everything and how things worked .So helpful ,thank you . The garden was totally secure and the amazing hot tub was fantastic after long walks . We will definitely be back to stay . Thanks Jayne and Jim
I used to live in Aviemore so I like to visit a couple of times a year. The flat was a good find and is at the North end of the town where I used to live. It is very well equipped for self catering and was very clean with some cleaning products provided. The only negative in the flat is that it needs a dressing table with a mirror and some drawer storage. I would definitely stay there again.
fourth visit , great improvements , would stay there again !! lovely and clean ,parking , good location !! When staying a couple of days no deal expected , but when staying 6/7 days abetter deal would be nice for loyal customers !! Already recommended others !!
A very nice spacious house in a good location. The house was spotlessly clean. Beach a short walk away and close to cafe, bar/restaurant and shops. Enjoyed visits to coastal villages, Logie Steading and Cawdor Castle. Lots of walks nearby.
Great place to stay and very convenient for the city and surrounding areas. Apartment a little light on utensils/pots&pans etc., probably as a result of current situation so cooking a bit more challenging. Excellent walking from the front door. We found Inverness hard work for driving and would recommend getting the bus in and out of the city. A 1 minute walk from apartment. We'd stay again
We were very comfortable. It is in a quiet location with excellent bus service to and from the city. No 4 stops right outside and No 3 goes from the bottom of the road. The facilities in the apartment were excellent although the hot water supply to the kitchen sink is barely adequate, especially as there is no dishwasher. It half fills a bowl with hot water at one time. We had some great days out including travelling the famous Inverness - Kyle of Lochalsh railway, the Botanic Garden and a boat trip on the Caledonian Canal and Loch Ness. All highly recommended.
We had stayed in Cromarty before and very much enjoy it. 1 The Byre was our base this year and we thought it suited us perfectly. The property was well equipped, perfectly placed and was warm and cosy. The bathroom was excellent, and the kitchen had everything needed, with the possible exception of a dishwasher. I therefore had to fulfil that role. There is plenty of car parking, the beach is across the quiet road and the Royal Hotel and the excellent Sutor Creek are within 3 minutes walk. I felt that the pictures on the website did not do the property justice.
Great little cottage, however the mattresses were rock hard and there are cobwebs all over the upper windows and light fittings and the cooker hood was full of dust. Also, you really should mention the view of the oil rig from the back garden. The fence at the bottom of the garden is a safety concern and should be removed or replaced as it is rotten and collapsing. Not great when children are around to hurt themselves on.
We couldn’t arrive until 5pm which is a bit late I think. There was toothpaste on the glass shelf in the bathroom. The door to the main bedroom doesn’t open fully, bedside lamps didn’t work. The oven door doesn’t stay open - the oven wouldn’t work until we figured out how to change the timer - no instructions. We had been looking forward to this since before Easter and were very disappointed unfortunately.
No complaints, except the basin very small, the shower not very powerful and all the lights so dark, we couldn't see to read or do paperwork, and had to use our torches! Kept meaning to buy better bulbs, but always forgot. We were there for work, so it was important to be able to do paperwork each night, and I need to read in bed at night. Otherwise, we were very comfortable and warm, and had everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped, we had a comfy sofa each, and the table extended to give me room for the paperwork (by torchlight). The bed was amazing. Very comfortable and a...more
