We travel to Dornoch each year to play golf. This is the best accommodation we have had, it was clean, spacious, well resourced (especially the kitchen). There was plenty parking and a lovely garden. Our only complaint would be, there was no garden furniture. There was a bench but as there were 6 of us, garden chairs would have been nice. A small detail in what was overall excellent accommodation.
Excellent location just a short walk across the golf course to the beach. Quiet street and lovely private area to sit out in. The house is well equipped with a super king bed and great shower. Very comfortable and a short walk into the town centre with lots of restaurants nearby.
Lovely clean apartment that was spotless and had everything you could need to enjoy your break. It was close to everywhere we wanted to visit on our break. The park with football goals yards from the house was a big hit with the kids. There was plenty of areas to walk the dog too and the neighbours we spoke to were really friendly. We would definitely stay here again if we were ever up visiting this part of Scotland.
The check in process was smooth and the cottage had everything we needed. We could not have asked for a more charming location. We ate breakfast and lunch outside in the sun, the bed was extremely comfortable and it was quiet at night. You're close to the attractions and restaurants in Inverness as well as lovely walks along the river ness. Would highly recommend the location and cottage.
Great location l, everything I needed, lovely flat with great design in the heart of Inverness I would recommend
We stayed here for a week and cannot fault the accommodation, everything you need for an enjoyable holiday
Lovely apartments. Very clean and comfortable. Nicely decorated and well maintained. Very convenient location with secure parking .
This really is a welcome escape for a break . The flat is spacious, modern and very tastefully decorated and finished to a high standard with lots of added extras. The washer and drier was a welcome bonus, as were thoughtful touches eg eco / vegan toileteries in family sized bottles, Eco egg , and Eco cleaning provisions in the kitchen. The towels and linen were also excellent quality. The owners were accessible and friendly and really want you to enjoy your stay. Daily visits to the shop downstairs to sample a variety of tasty deli type foods were also highlight. We were blessed with a week o...more
The house was perfect in every way - Very spacious, comfortable and the most amazing view from the lounge and the kitchen. From en suite shower rooms to utility rooms, we had everything we needed.
Location couldn’t have been any better. Apartment was very clean. Booking information was great. Will definitely book this apartment again.
Fantastic caravan everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Lots to see and do in the town only a short walk away.
This apartment is spacious, light and very well maintained. It is the perfect base for exploring Inverness and the surrounding area. It is situated in a lovely residential area, just five minutes walk away from the town centre. We stayed here for a week and felt very at home.
Lovely little cottage with great outdoor patio space. We wished we could have had the courtyard studio with the patio doors with the sun shining down in the evening but the Garden Studio was just as lovely.
Excellent cottage. Beautiful peaceful setting, very comfortable and sparkling clean. Everything you could need provided. Lovely friendly but unobtrusive owners. The dog loved the huge garden. We will be returning.
This beautiful cottage was perfectly clean. Fantastic bathroom with one of the best showers I have ever used, The towels were luxurious and for once a suitable amount and size All the personal touches from fresh flowers, milk, shortbread and canisters of tea, coffee and hot chocolate were much appreciated. No negative comments, will hope to return
Great location, great house, wonderful views, second stay at Oran Mor and enjoyed both stays. Good location for days out exploring. The only issue we had was that we could not let our dog out into the garden because the fence adjoining the field was to high from the ground and the dog could get under.
Lovely secluded cul-de-sac location, gated entrance to driveway, well maintained ,spotless, like a new bungalow, you could move in and stay forever, fully equipped kitchen plus day to day necessities included, owner lives in nearby property, nothing too much trouble if you require any assistance .
Caravan was spotless and very spacious situated on a lovely plot on the site. The site is very well kept and fantastically positioned for touring round the North of Scotland. We will definitely return to this caravan.
Having been visiting Dornoch for the last 50 years, I can honestly say that I am so glad to have booked Raasay for the first time this year. I could not fault the house for cleanliness and facilities. Finding that upon arrival, we had been supplied with bread, milk, butter and a full bowl of fresh fruit along with other essential items to start off our stay, was a very pleasant and much appreciated surprise. The house has a large garden with picnic table and chairs which we used for outdoor lunches on a nice day, and also a garden bench for seating. Large fluffy towels were supplied in both sh...more
Great view over the bay. Flat was in excellent condition with all the bits and pieces that you could possibly need. Good centre for touring the area.
The house was to a very good standard with beautiful views across the fields towards the sea. It was well equipped and comfortable. A quiet but not isolated location made for a relaxing break. The house has Netflix (no free view or terrestrial tv) which wasn’t an issue for us but may be for others. We would certainly like to return to the house.
More spacious that I thought it would be. Well equipped and great central location. A very comfortable three night stay.
Very nice apartment in good location a few miles from Gairloch and one mile from nearest pub/restaurant. Great scenery.
Very nice apartment, comfortable stay in Inverness. Would have preferred a lift, walking distance from some very nice restaurants.
Really lovely stay here. Accommodation is lovely. Spacious and well equipped. Kitchen well appointed and loads of equipment of you fancy doing a lot of cooking. Gorgeous garden - plenty space for the kids to run about. Parasol was really needed this week as the sun was blazing. Really great to have this for shade - thank you. A very peaceful area, relaxing and gave us a much needed break. Wee minor point is we had to clean out the BBQ when we arrived. Was full of coals and hadn’t been cleaned but we did it and cleaned dour after ourselves too easy for the next folks. Lovely Stay and wo...more
We really enjoyed our stay at Moray Park It's very clean the beds are very comfortable, amazing shower and has everything you need. Would stay here again if back in area wouldn't bother looking for anywhere else.
We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend in the Coach House. It was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Will recommend it .
Wonderful property with everything you could ask for. Great welcome from the hosts, attentive and available but never intrusive. The location is excellent right in the centre of town and the deli downstairs has everything and more for your stay. The property is beautifully decorated, clean and very large inside. The 3 rooms gave our family comfort and privacy and the large kitchen / lounge was a great place to come together. Thoroughly recommend this property for a stay in Dornoch which is a great base for relaxing, touring, golfing and has some decent restaurants too. The best feedback I can...more
A fantastic, well fitted apartment near to Inverness city centre. Spotlessly clean, adhering to all Covid criteria. Claire is a most professional, efficient and helpful host.
The house is lovely and spacious, has everything you need. Great garden, very private and quiet. A perfect location being only 10 minutes walk to the centre of Aviemore. We will definitely be back!
After a long break due to covid we were able to return for two weeks to this lovely little flat. We even got sunburned - a first in Scotland for us! Have already written in the past about facilities - everything here that you could need [but note - no wi-fi and you do need a car] and so well placed it is possible to do trips to the four corners of the Highlands. We have done day trips to Durness and Dunnet Head in the North, Cullen and Elgin in the east and Applecross and Skye in the west - Orkney is also just possible. Nearer home the Black Isle has plenty to see and Inverness is just ...more
Beautiful and spacious accommodation in a quiet location, not far from town centre. Comfortable beds - great sleep away from home. Highly recommend this apartment.
We stayed for 1 week at 9 Pitgrudy. On arrival we were very pleased with the property. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We previously stayed for a week in Edinburgh and were worried we would be downgrading, instead we felt we had upgraded. Pleasantly surprised with the quality of the bedding and towels provided with toiletries too. My son (17) was delighted with the bowl of complimentary hot chocolate and lollipops left on the table. The site was very quiet and it is situated close to Dornoch. We walked into the village although there is a free car park for anyone who can’t wa...more
Perfect stay for our needs, peace and wildlife, but plenty of walking or sightseeing and close to the water and Rosemarkie beach too. Lodge was well equipped and the beds were really comfy, which is a must for us. The washing machine was an added bonus. Norma and Brian are great hosts and supplied us with coffee/tea, fresh milk and shortbread for when we arrived. Daily sightings of red squirrels, kites, deer and a hedgehog!!.
Excellent week spent in Dornoch at pitgrudy. Nice, quiet holiday in clean and fresh caravan. Good value for money and would be interested in future bookings.
Very clean, well appointed property minutes from city centre . Washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, tv/ WiFi, one bedroom, two toilets one with shower
What a fantastic lodge perfect location for exploring highlands and shandwick beach on your doorstep another bonus. Simons knowledge of things to do was brilliant we would definitely be booking again.
Wonderful location for walks with spectacular views. The Old Stables is very well equipped, comfortable and spacious. We had an amazing time. The only problem we had was with the oven. It worked fine but the temperature markings have been rubbed off so it made setting the temperature of the oven very interesting. This was the only issue we had, everything else was perfect. Would definitely recommend this property.
Modern apartment, centrally placed in Dornoch, ideal for relaxing holiday or base to explore Northern Scotland.
Great location in a quiet street. All needs catered for. Would definitely recommend. Great for a family and the garden is safe and enclosed. Great showers, Sky TV was a welcome bonus too.
A lovely clean property with great facilities in an excellent location in the centre. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We will definitely return.
We loved staying in this place, it was absolutely idyllic and only a few steps away from the beach to go for a walk. Mandy was very nice and welcoming and friendly, and only lived 2min away and was available at any time in case we needed help. We are hoping to come back soon!
As always the cottage was the perfect base for our week in the far North, providing comfort and convenience. Easy and quick to get into Dotnoch, equally so to reach the A9 Excellently appointed property with a wonderful view across the Firth to enjoy any time of day
This cottage could not have been more perfect. The location was ideal and eating breakfast and looking out to the water was glorious. The neighbours were really nice too! I will definitely go back.
Beannachd is a wonderful property with great views overlooking the dornoch firth. We were lucky to see deer roaming the grass areas in front of the property. The property is spacious and so well equipped with everything you need. The living area is comfy and spacious. The beds are very comfortable and the wardrobes have loads of space which you rarely get. The garden is a fabulous size which our dogs loved! The table tennis table is an added bonus. Our only negative comment would be to have black out blinds or similar in the bedrooms as it was barely dark during the night!! We visited the ...more
Bowlins is a lovely bungalow in a really quiet area but not remote, perfectly located for every type of activity. All the local people are so friendly. The bungalow is well equipped and the beds are super comfy, which is a real must for us. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
This property was in a excellent location for exploring the surrounding area. It was a well equipped property and was very comfortable. Would highly recommend.
Clean, comfortable and great parking. Perfect place to stay when visiting Inverness and surrounding area. Quiet neighbourhood and very handy for supermarket and petrol station.
We have stayed in Grant Crescent a few times now - fantastic house in a great location. Another brilliant holiday.
The accommodation was excellent would recommend to family and friends. The location was great to visit other locations
Repeat visit, good location with pleasant walk into Aviemore, everything you need for a comfortable stay.
A well loved home in a very central but quiet location - ideal for a holiday in Dornoch and the surrounding area.
Mont Blanc is a beautiful and spacious appartment in a great location in a residential area of Aviemore. Everything was great, the flat was spotlessly clean, everything was provided (bed linen, towels, cleaning supplies, kitchenware, cutlery, instructions for appliances - very useful). The flat is in a quiet location, but there is a Coop 10min walk away, and also a pizzeria, a chippy and a bike rental. 30min walk to town, either along the main town road or along a much quieter bike route on the other side of the main tracks. Speyside way passes about 200m away, providing an excellent track for...more
Third time staying here and it was wonderful as all previous visits. Great location, great house and brilliant to have the hot tub etc to use when the weather is good/bad. Love Aviemore and would always look to book here when we return in the future. Only feedback would be to provide more bin liners/dishwasher tablets/detergent.....not quite enough when there's a house full and a lot of outdoor activities are generating washing etc.
We really appreciated this accommodation. There was a homely feeling about it. We enjoyed the setting and could see if we spent longer there were nice walks we could have done. The owners were very friendly but not obtrusive. We will place this accommodation on our list if managed to visit this area again.
My family and I stayed in this property during a short stay in Aviemore and were all impressed by the quality of the accomodation. The flat is a good size and is well equipped for a comfortable stay - my only gripe being that I found the bed a bit uncomfortable (as I am just over 6' tall and found that the footboard preventing me from stretching my legs out as I usualy would. Both my boys are over 6' as well but they didn't have any issues as the twin beds don't have footboards). Other than that minor gripe I would say that this flat is ideal for a short break - I particularly liked the loca...more
The appartment is spacious and clean. The location is perfect with the harbour across the road. Would happily reccomend.
Great house with plenty of space for our family of 6 plus wee dog. Kitchen was very well equipped. Enclosed garden was great for the dog and children. Location ideal for exploring both the east coast and west coast of Scotland.
Excellent and clean accommodation with good quality furniture. Good location, car parking very convenient
Margaret Street cottage was a lovely little cottage. Very cosy living room and kitchen was well equipped. Has a gorgeous spacious patio garden which caught the sun all day. Comfy bedsrooms upstairs (although quite low sloped ceilings so watch your head). lovely and clean as well.
Excellent flat. Everything was provided including tea bags, coffee, biscuits and milk. The accommodation is in walking distance of the town and there is an excellent local bar in the street.
Wonderful property stayed while waiting to move into our new home. The only thing we would change is to have king size quilts. The reason is hubby wraps himself up in the quilt and I'm left with none ha ha.
Beautiful spacious property in a lovely rural location but close to Inverness. Somewhere to sit outside would have improved this but otherwise wonderful.
Spent 4 nights here in this very well presented, equipped and spotlessly clean apartment. For those unfamiliar with Cromarty it offers lots of history and interesting architecture, and there are many fabulous walks on the doorstep. Nice view over the Cromarty Firth even if it is a little over-populated with North Sea drilling-rig flotsam. Would definitely recommend a stay here.
This apartment is in a fantastic location. The customer service was excellent and the issue we raised was quickly resolve d (sheet missing from the bed). Mattresses were firm and comfy which was perfect for my bad back, best mattress I've slept on aside from my own. Kitchen/living area spacious and well equipped. The balcony was a great space to have but could do with some moss treatment. The second bedroom does not have any ventilation which made it very hot. The shower and bath were fab, hot water instant and very hot. There was no coffee machine and the plug in the kitchen sink doesn't hold...more
Great location. House was spotless. Enjoyed our stay so much we have booked it again for the October school week
The apartment is modern and clean. The location is wonderful for easy access to the city and yet quiet. It’s great to have parking outside. The only issues are that the shower is just a trickle and the kettle lid is broken. The bed is comfortable. I’d book to stay here again if coming to Inverness.
Perfect for us, had everything you need and more, really enjoyed the outdoor area also. Will definitely be back.
Everything that you need in your own home, strong WiFi, comfy bed and a 5 min walk for all the bars and restaurants. Would certainly stay again.
A fantastic apartment in an excellent location. Well fitted out and very clean. Only small downside was that the bed was hard and uncomfortable - needing replaced.
Great service all the way. Gael holidays went the extra mile for us because had to cancel 1st 2 bookings because of COVID 19, but with help we had a good week over looking the water. Thanks to everyone involved
Great ground floor apartment for a holiday in & around Aviemore 10min walk from Aviemore centre Nice little burn in the garden Ample parking Superb modern fixtures & fittings Only minor criticism is the size of the double beds. Ample room for a king or even better a super king, but only a standard double. If these are upgraded, place would be 5* across the board
The bungalow was clean, modern and comfortable. Plenty of space for a family of 5. On a quiet cul-de-sac with easy access to a variety of walking and cycling trails. Large, wraparound garden with hot tub and useful shed for bike storage. 5 mins from the centre of Aviemore.
I hope my comments will be taken in a positive way. Easiest win would be some more cooking utensils (big pot/ saucepan, salad bowel. Frying pan in poor condition). Thicker blinds or curtains for the bedroom windows would help for a better nights sleep The water flow on the shower was very poor and an improvement here would make a significant difference. A map of local walks would have been helpful The location was great for making the most of the sunshine and we loved the garden.
Great wee cottage, in a fantastic spot. Everything was fine and would book again, if I was being picky, Then the TV was very small, but we didn’t use it much. We enjoyed walking to Rosemarkie and Chanory Point, and the kids went jumping into the sea at high tide off the pier that was opposite. Only 20 mins from Inverness as well,
Excellent apartment let down by very poor shower which was impossible to adjust to temperature and wasn’t powerful enough to rinse out hair. Won’t be back because of that. Shame really.
We had a lovely time as a family of 6. Our children aged 5, 4 and 2 ran around loving the house. I hid all breakables in one of the wardrobes and had a stress free time. Really nice rooms, wonderful kitchen, everything you need really and a nice welcome food package. We would stay again. Only marked down as some repairs are needed to conservatory as it leaked when raining and bedroom wall had large crack in it. Also prices were high for 3 nights in comparison to 2 years ago but assume all of this is Covid related and so understandable.
Enjoyable stay in a comfortable and very central apartment which is handy for everything.. Basement parking was a bonus. Only downside was a high level of traffic noise which put us off our sleep.
Outside of house could have done with a little TLC- weeds up to bedroom windows and old seagulls poo on door and windows
Blarmore Studio has been godsent for our move from North Wales to Inverness during the coronavirus lockdown operating in both countries. Without a stable, comfortable and convieniently located place to shift to for my husband with multiple health issues and I, it would have been a very stressful period. The landlady and the agency have been very safety conscious and the apartment is well stocked and all appliances are available that make staying here very comfortable and easy for shopping. Public transport is also a few metres away.
The apartment filled our needs for a few days away from home to unwind. It is spacious and very comfortable. Being in a shared building the entrance is not welcoming as it is in need of decoration, but once in the accommodation there were no problems .
This is a beautiful house with everything you need provided. The photos don’t do it justice! We found all the beds to be comfy as were the sofas. The house is in a great position with the local shop, bakery and cheese shop literally around the corner. It’s a short walk to the beach, restaurants and pubs too. Tommy and Sandra are lovely hosts and are just at the end of the phone if you need them. We loved it so much we’re going back in a few months !
Just spent a week in Aviemore in this beautiful house. Spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable. A real home from home, can't think that anything was missing. A very enjoyable break, from the warm welcome on arrival, the welcome pack, the hot tub which we used daily, the large enclosed garden for the dog, everything was perfect. Being slightly out of Aviemore was idea as it was nice an quiet in the evening but close enough to be able to walk into the main street in 15-20 minutes where there are plenty of great eateries. One word of caution, make sure you book ahead while restrictions are still ...more
This is a lovely flat in a great location. The accommodation was perfect for us and we will definitely stay again. Everything was really clean, modern and fresh. We could walk into town and round to the local bakery and deli for croissants and lunch. It was a last minute booking with Gael Holidays and it was really easy to book and all the information we got through was excellent.
We recently booked the Gael Cham for a short, local break and we’re absolutely delighted with the service provided and the standard of accommodation provided. From the initial enquiry, booking process and communication (both email and phone calls), everything was slick and first class. The accommodation itself was exactly as described and perfect for our needs. It’s located in a nice, peaceful residential area, with a stunning view over the Cairngorms and Ben Macdui. We shall definitely be using Gael Holidays again and would have no hesitation in recommending both them and the Gael Cham.
My second time here, this is a great apartment. Well equipped, clean and modern, and with a lovely view out to the sea.. Highly recommended.
The property was functional but it was definitely lacking in some ways. One of the beds you could feel the springs in for instance. The tv reception would cut out when the neighbours used their tv. The low pressure hot water was completely lacking in heat or much water. The washing machine seal was leaking. And most annoyingly was the inability to open any windows downstairs, and on a warm day we had to keep the dog crated just so we could try to get a bit of air through the house. The location is beautiful and we fell in love with Gairloch nearby but the cottage was a bit disappointing overal...more
We were pleased with the accommodation and we’re only the second people to be in the house. It is very easy to find, very handy for the shops and restaurants. The petrol station cakes really hit the spot. The house was well prepared and any issues were very quickly addressed. Would certainly return when coming back.
We had a lovely time at Armadale house, it has a very well equipped kitchen and beautiful views. The beds are very comfortable and it has a cosy living space.
2nd visit - everything good apart from poor kitchen equipment. Despite owner (willie?) replying (2019) that this would be rectified, still requires basic equipment - mixing bowl, small pan, only minimum cutlery, sieve etc. No problem for us as expected this and came prepared and also ate out or had takeaway delivered. Benefits outweigh these faults so would return again. Biggest attraction is the outstanding beauty of the area and ample shopping venues.
A delightful place to stay and can be thoroughly recommended. Access to Aviemore very easy which has great attractions and several very good restaurants. So no need to worry too much about self catering
We loved the house. Very clean. Nice welcome pack contained filter coffee, tea, sugar, salt and pepper. Fire alarm went off one morning at 5am not so welcome. Beautiful location great for children as park just a short stroll away. Dogs paradise for walks. A very nice stay and would be happy to book again.
Location was perfect for what I needed , close to train and bus station and to the city centre. I saw seals in the river ness from the apartment most mornings, which was lovely. The apartment itself was clean and comfortable and had everything, apart from food that I needed for the week. Overall a perfect holiday.
Tomich is a great place to stay and chill out. If you want more, Glen Affric is not far away! The cottage is a great place to base yourself. Plenty of room - clean and comfortable. There's a hotel/pub and a cafe nearby. Perfect!
So great that we have booked again in October. This was our second stay in the apartment and again it was in great condition.
We stayed here in July (6adults, 2children ), the bedrooms were all comfortable, the living area and open plan kitchen was modern and clean, a small garden out the back. The cottage is a good base to see the things around Aviemore. It is about 1.5 mile walk into Aviemore along a small path that runs parallel with the main road. I would stay here again if we go back to Aviemore. Gael custom services stayed in contact checking we had received all the information we required for our stay.
We stayed here for 4 nights in July 21, the property was lovely and clean and comfortable, it had everything we needed including some coffee tea bags etc. The property had wonderful views overlooking some cows and sheep, our little dog spend hours just sitting there watching them, she loved it. The location was exactly where we wanted it near Inverness so it wasnt far to travel to visit the places we wanted to see. There is a local shop a short drive away for anything else we needed. It had a large fridge, cooker, washing machine, microwave and a freezer and tumble dryer located in the shed. I...more
