We really enjoyed our short break in the centre of Dornoch. The apartment is in an excellent location, with views over the pretty town centre/cathedral and just a few minutes’ walk from the golf course and beach. It is very well-equipped, spotlessly clean and newly decorated. The beds have new linen and duvets – we slept very well. It was a bonus to have a powerful en-suite shower. We will definitely be back and would thoroughly recommend.
Had an excellent week in the apartment which has everything that you could possibly require. Lovely views of the constantly changing beach scene. Well placed for shops and handy for the Harbour. It was a good choice.
Had a lovely stay at burnside croft .Owners there did to meet us.Very clean and all you could need in cottage.very quite. Would recommend to anybody.
We spent a week at Woodlands while visiting family and Christmas shopping in Inverness. It was the ideal location for us only minutes from Inverness and central to so many places we visited . Norma and Brian were so welcoming and gave us some tips on eating places in the area which we really appreciated . The accommodation was just amazing and equipped to a very high standard ,it was warm and cosy with a comfortable bed and so so comfortable pillows and duvet . everything you could think of has been provided by this lovely couple , even our dog was provided with feeding bowls ,towel , and t...more
We have stayed here for the last 4 or 5 years. We are always warmly welcomed by the owners and this includes a bottle of wine, box of biscuits and everything needed to make tea and coffee. The cottage is well appointed, clean and comfortable. The area has stunning scenery and lots to do.
This property has everything, and is situated well to make the best of the Ski area, Aviemore and the Glenmore Forest Walks, our English Springer loved it ! We have stayed in lots of these types of property before, and would put this up there with the best. Great value and has just about everything you need for a break in gorgeous surroundings. Our only minor issue was we would have liked more bath towels as we soon used the 4 available when relaxing in the Hot tub. However, this will not put us off returning in the future.
Friendly hosts and a very comfortable Steading. Well equiped kitchen and Steading made for great accommodation and weekend.
Wonderful stay. Efficient and straightforward and friendly service. Cottage was everyting we expected and more. Village had great eating places and there was plenty to see and do in the area.
On my recent travel to Inverness, I came across Wildhaven Property on Booking.com and the great reviews prompted me to book my stay there. The owner, Mairi is a charming lady and welcomed us graciously. The big disappointment was the water condition. There was no clean drinking water and we were expected to buy our own. While the tap water in England is clean enough for usage, the property had light brown water diffusing from the shower/kitchen taps. Apart from this we didn't face any problems. My feedback would be that the owners can be a bit more connected with first-time visitors and check ...more
Fantastic apartment. Beautifully located and immaculate and clean. Quite location but near the city centre. Pre visit communications were excellent. Highly recommend this to all
Maple Cottage was the perfect place for us as a couple to explore the Black Isle. The apartment was very comfortable and well equipped and the effort our hosts went to to provide us with information about the local area (both personally and with written material) made us feel at home. The apartment was spacious, spotlessly clean and very well looked after. The location was peaceful but perfectly placed to explore the Black Isle and beyond. I would definitely return to Maple Cottage. I would love to see the Northern Lights from the balcony again.
First time staying at Red Kite and won 't be our last. The cabin was spotless and had everything we needed. A home from home. Thank you Margaret and Paul.
We really were impressed with the hospitality, location, value and cleanliness. Arriving back into this lovely, warm and cosy cottage after sightseeing was a pleasure. We highly recommend staying at Fairfield Lane cottage and give everything 5 stars. Just book, you will enjoy staying there. Inverness is great to explore.Tesco is 1 minute walk.
Great modern house in good location. House was clean, warm and welcoming and is well stocked with kitchen equipment and bedding/towels were all lovely fresh and clean. All the little additional touches made our stay even better from the wii in the kids room and selection of games etc in the living room and outdoor tap. All contact with Gael holiday homes was easy and helpful. House has plenty of space for a family of four and great garden too. The garage which has access from the house is great for keeping outdoor equipment etc. We had a great week in aviemore and loved staying in the house....more
The apartment was very spacious, clean and comfortable. I had the best 3 weeks stay here. The kitchen had all the necessary appliances and the beds were super comfy. It was in a great location and is a 20 minute walk into the town centre. Overall my experience here was very good and I rate it 10 out 10.
Really comfortable stay for 3 nights with our two young children. Wasn't disappointed with the view. The outside store was very handy. The breakfast bar should have rounded corners as both our children bumped their heads on it but that was our problem really just be aware. Perhaps a note on waste recycling in the kitchen would help. We put glass in the general waste but maybe we should have taken bottles to a recycle station?
We were delighted with the central location and the overall facilities, great value for money and ideal for a break.
As a family group we found the en suite bedrooms particularly helpful. There was plenty of living space & having the garage to store bikes etc suited us perfectly. The house was very well equipped & very warm.
Fantastic secluded location, with magnificent views, yet only half an hour from Inverness. Carol (the owner) has thought of everything. You only need to bring yourself, food and drink...and clothes!
We have been staying in the same apartment for the last five years and have no complaints whatsoever. The apartment is as always spotless clean, warm and comfortable. Very central for shopping and a secure indoor car park and all at a very reasonable price.

Me and my colleague had a wonderful stay at this apartment, which is actually a cute semi-detached house. It was a little cold on our first night, but as the heating kicked in it got really comfy. We also had a little problem turning on the stove (somehow the spark didn't work to turn the gas on), but the neighbour was really helpful giving us some matches. The apartment is not very far from the city centre (5 min walk), and still in a very quiet neighbourhood with parking directly next to the house.
Excellent stay, home from home comforts, outstanding views, rural yet convenient location. Highly recommend.
Just come back from Taigh Fiodha log cabin. We were a family of six adults and we had a wonderful time. The cabin itself was brilliant and a credit to the owners,we even had a bbq on two evenings as the weather was great. The views from the cabin were great when the sun was shining,we spent a week there and wished we could have stayed longer.Hope we can return again soon.Thank you simon and yvonne for a brilliant week
Everithink good, the cleaning the house the claim and the proprieties was fantastic. The place was 10 minuts to market and near the city
We stayed at Rosehip Cottage for 4 nights and it was perfect for us. It is so Close to the old man of storr that you can get an early start there. The view from the Cottage is amazing and there was more then enough space for us.
We try to go back to Fisherman's Cottage each year - it feels very much like home from home to us. We love visiting Cromarty and travelling around the Black Isle as well surrounding areas, and this time it was particularly beautiful with snowy weather. The Cottage is well appointed, comfortable and cosy - we always find we sleep particularly well, and love being able to pop out first thing in the morning for fresh bread from the Cromarty Bakery and a bracing walk along the Firth.
Nice house with good quality fixtures/fittings with the exception of the bathroom which is in need of updating and redecorating. The central heating system wasn't working properly, sometimes not at all, and the water pressure was so low that occasionally no water came out of the upstairs taps at all. The toilet handle needed pumping three times before it flushed. Sandra, the housekeeper, very kindly provided heaters so we were kept warm and having advised her of the problems we understand she is arranging for a plumber to attend the property. A few more plates, cups and saucers etc would al...more
I booked this for our son and his family who live in Jersey. As we live in the village it couldn't have been better. We were all very impressed, and they really enjoyed their first taste of Scotland. They will be back....!
This is a spacious self catering spot just outside of Dornoch. The location was quiet but still close to Dornoch centre. The unit could have a bit more supplies, e.g. Starter soaps , shampoo, dis soap and laundry detergent. Also some kitchen supplies needed to be updated.
Needing accommodation in the area at short notice, relieved to find Achnacarry had availability. It was excellent, peaceful, and felt like home.
Meeting with my parents. Had a good time , easy to find , Apartment had everything you need. Excellent
We stayed here in the summer and were very impressed. This time was just as good. Very comfortable, spotlessly clean and has everything you could possibly need. We're coming back in February so I guess that says it all.
The house itself was perfect for us, clean and comfortable with a gorgeous sea view from almost every window. The history and surroundings of the house were so interesting and perfect for us and our son to explore, along with a short walk down to the beach. We'll definitely be going back, ASAP.
Our stay at the Tomnahurich property was very positive. The apartment was easy to find, simple to access and was exactly as advertised. The rooms were ample, beds comfortable, and the bathroom and shower were superior. Although situated on a busy street, the street noise was not obvious within the apartment.
Lovely city centre apartment which would highly recommend. I have now stayed here 3 times with family.
We have used this property for several years now, the excellent service provided by the leasing agency and the high standard the property is maintained to, has continued during this time providing a trouble free stay, highly recommend to anyone.
We had a great time in Dornoch, great location 5 minutes walk to town. Lovely spacious cottage, would highly recommend.
3 night stay to take in the New Year at the Red Hot Highland Fling. Apartment in an ideal for the Northern Meeting Park, restaurants and pubs - all within a 5 -10 min walk. Cosy and comfortable apartment - so all in all everything we needed for a very enjoyable New Years break!
An excellent apartment at an excellent price providing great value for money. Crown House is located within 5 minutes walk of the city centre, an indoor shopping centre and a 10 minute walk to a large supermarket. It is very close to the bus station and railway station. There is even a great cafe on the corner of the street - highly rated by the Guardian newspaper as one of the best in the country. The pictures of the outside of the apartment do not do it justice - it is very clean, comfortable and cosy with a fully equipped kitchen, lovely bathroom and shower and extremely comfortable bed wit...more
Our stay was great just what we needed, the bungalow was clean, warm, well presented and in a perfect location. The hot tub was a real hit and having the shed to store items in was a bonus. My only suggestion would be to add mirrors in the bedrooms and some extra wardrobe space would be beneficial as only the master bedroom has any hanging space or a mirror. The staff at Gael Holidays were excellent and the call to wish us a great holiday was a lovely touch. Would revisit in a blink of an eye.
A very comfortable apartment with everything you need for a stay away from home. Great position near all local amenities.
This is a lovely, comfortable apartment in a very quiet area. It was ideal for us attending a wedding at the Kingsmills Hotel as it's less than half a mile along the road. Scott was very helpful and friendly. A welcoming bottle of wine when we arrived which was a nice touch. Thanks Scott, we really enjoyed our stay.
Spacious, comfortable property set in a rural, tranquil location. Well equipped. Stunning views. Highly recommended.
Late in the season so maybe a bit tired looking. Oven needs some attention. Looked very clean when first entering the cottage but later find a few problems with cleanliness.
The cottage is always extremely clean. There are very thoughtful little welcoming packages eg we were phoned and asked what type of milk and bread we wished and these along with butter, home made tablet and biscuits and some fruit were on the work surface as a welcome. A really nice touch in winter was the vase of fresh flowers in the sitting room. There was a supply of books and videos which was welcome in the cold dark winter nights. The heating system kept the cottage cosy. The kitchen was well equipped for 2 people but a couple more dining seats would have been welcome when a couple of...more
The moment we got to Inverness it was and always will be the best place to visit . my family had been coming to Scotland for the past 30 years and we love every moment. Thanks to Gail Holiday homes it made our stay even better. Thank you so much my family had a wonderful time. Your apartment is one of the nicest place we ever stayed . keep it up/ Once again thank you very much. Until next time. Sincerely Claudia Laurence and family
It was my first time using Gael Holiday Homes. Everything workout perfectly, from arranging to the property itself. I will happily use this company and accommodation again.
We only stayed a couple of nights but wish it was more! A fantastic apartment in a great location right in the centre of the city. The facilities were excellent and procedure for access was easy. Staying in the apartment was relaxing and suited us better than being in a hotel. We would definitely recommend and stay again.
This is a great place to get away for a nice weekend and privacy. We loved the area and the people. Great.
A well proportioned two bedroom apartment. Modern clean and homely. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here
We really enjoyed our stay at the apartment, we found it to be clean, comfortable and spacious for the four of us and it is well equipped. We had our toddler with us so thought it was important to mention that the garden isn't secure and there is also a river running by the side of the apartment which isn't fenced off, lovely to hear but potentially quite dangerous, hence us having to hide the keys to the patio door so our toddler couldn't access outside on his own. Also as previously mentioned in another review, building work is going on and from Monday to Friday, there are people walking ...more
Cosy, comfortable and really well located accomodation, really enjoyed my stay.No problems with access, only slight minus was noise from fridge ,all else good ,bed really comfortable ,good selection of books and DVDs available for relaxation.Thank you for nice stay .
Having previously stayed at Delmhor No.3, we knew what to expect and we weren’t disappointed! Great location, close to many stunning walks which we all enjoyed thoroughly, especially the dogs. The lodge is finished to a high standard, plenty parking space, massive garden which is fully enclosed (another bonus for the dogs) and the hot tub is something to look forward to at the end of the day to ease the aches and pains. Will definitely return. Cannot recommend highly enough.
The cottage is ideal for a break with family or friends. Lovely, well-equipped kitchen; comfortable sitting room and clean, comfortable bedrooms. Lovely patio out the back. Ideal for a break beside the sea.
An Sealladh is a lovely homely wee place. It is small but we (myself, husband and child) managed fine as there is plenty of storage. It's well equipped and the tumble dryer is a huge bonus. The views are lovely and it's a very peaceful location. Audrey was very friendly and helpful too.
The location of this apartment is excellent just a couple of minutes walk into the city. It has a nice little bar at the end of the street. The apartment is well enough equipped with all necessary requirements. The only problem we had was the pillows and duvet could do with being replaced. Pillows were very uncomfortable. As we were staying more than 5 days we understood the towels would have been changed but did not happpen which was a bit disappointing. Otherwise everything else was fine and enjoyed our stay.
This apartment was just what we needed. Close to the town centre (about 10 mins walk). The sitting room was dark and needed the lights on, as the one small window overlooked the wall of the neighbour. Not sure where the sun came from in the photo! but we were mostly only in during the evening so it didn't matter. The chairs were comfortable. It provided us with what we wanted. No complaints.
Overall the apartment is in a great position within Inverness having great views over the castle, the high street and river, having parking in a private car park is a real asset. I do have a few points that I feel need to be addressed. 1: patio doors do not lock properly (apartment could be broken into very easily). 2: patio area very slippy (health & safety concern). 3: water pressure in shower very poor. 4: bedroom requires blackout curtain (due to light off of the Main Street coming in).
Danke
Very well equipped and clean, great garden as well. Comfortable rooms. The paintings in the cottage are fabulous. We will be booking again.
Very pleased with apartment. Everything went smoothly. Easy and safe parking made all the difference. Hope to return next year.
We absolutely loved staying in Rosemarkie and Holmes cottage was perfect for our needs. It has EVERYTHING you need for a short or a prolonged stay and is situated in a great location - right by the pub, shop and the beach! The cottage is spacious (there was only two of us but a family or group of 4 would fit perfectly) and really tastefully done. It felt like a real home from home and we would love to stay again!
Visited Aviemore with our Daughter and Family, 4 adults, I child and small dog (in total). The cabin was easy to find and spacious enough for all of us. As one previous reviewer pointed out, by the nature of log cabins, door closing and moving about sounds seem to carry ( little noisy) but this did not stop our enjoyment. Everyone still slept well and enjoyed the area.
We stayed in this lovely apartment- family of 5- February mid term break. The apartment is in a peaceful/tranquil area of Nairn and takes just 20 minutes walk to centre of Nairn and it's beautiful beach. There is car parking space specific to the apartment which is really handy. The apartment has a large balcony which looks over the Moray firth and the golf course which is very scenic. The apartment itself is very cosy and well laid out for families and golfers alike. The upstairs ensuite bedroom is huge and has a table football game which my kids were playing alot!! The kitchen has all the nec...more
Excellent service from the owners, there were a couple of very small problems on which within half an hour of a phone call they were sorted. Location was very peaceful and beautiful.
This is an ideal base for exploring Inverness and beyond. The apartment was well equipped for a short stay providing extra touches such as a dishwasher and washing machine. It was a very short walk into the city and all amenities. Loch Ness and the Highlands are a beautiful drive away with jaw dropping vistas. We enjoyed our stay.
The house is clean, warm and overall great. However the sofas are well worn and require replacing, the utility room is an airing cupboard with nowhere to actually hang outdoor clothes to dry, and there is not a separate washing machine and dryer - just a washer/dryer.
great little cottage exactly what i hoped for . great location very pleased with the value for money would definately reccomend this place to others
The booking system with Gael holidays was simple, staff were very friendly and the cost was less then quoted on other sites! Reviews suggested a lack of cleaning products but everything we needed was supplied. The bedding and towels were lovely, clean and fresh. The cottage was very clean and tidy when we arrived too. The beds were very comfortable. Heating was fabulous, despite it being cold over the Christmas break. Plenty of hot water for 3 adults. All the appliances were easy to use and in clean, new condition. The setting is wonderful, and easy to park etc. Our only feedback, not a ...more
A neat and tidy apartment, our only reservation would be that it is a little out of the way and does not have any views. We also do prefer staying where there is carpet in the living areas, but that is just our preference. Otherwise a very modern, clean functional apartment.
Stayed at river view a few times now, great little apartment nice & cosy. Few minutes walk to city centre.
Great location in Aviemore, close to local amenities and not too far from the town centre. Brilliant base for all the outdoor activites in the Cairngorms. Actual house was good with a decent amount of equipment and facilities.
The place was nice to stay, very close to Inverness city center (15 minutes walk), has all facilities inside one may need for short or longer stay. The host were helpful when we had any questions. The bed was however a bit small for us and not very comfortable. The rest was very good. I will recommend it.
A very spacious and well appointed house. Nice garden(s) and perfect location. We had two families in our party, a total of 4 adults and three children, and the property was pretty much ideal. It was roomy, the beds were very comfy, accommodation flexible and the the amenities (including washing machine, tumble drier and dish washer) were excellent. The pictures on the website didn't do it justice! Highly recommended and would happily stay there again.
