This apartment is spacious, light and very well maintained. It is the perfect base for exploring Inverness and the surrounding area. It is situated in a lovely residential area, just five minutes walk away from the town centre. We stayed here for a week and felt very at home.
Had a really nice weeks stay at the Black rock cottage, about a 20 mins drive from Inverness. At a time of concern with regards to covid-19, we need not have worried. Everything needed was provided by Stella, with the cottage being really clean, and an immaculate garden an added bonus. On a side note, The BT wifi was REALLY good...just like being at home.
Another fantastic stay at Grant Crescent. It just feels like home from home! Wonderful facilities (and surroundings!).
Really lovely comfortable apartment, spotlessly clean , great having private car park space with easy walk to centre of town , highly recommend
Wonderful and snappy brand new lodgings in the heart of Dornoch. Absolutely beautiful and complete. Hosts respond quickly to any questions and are very friendly. Easy walk to beach. This is the spot...I only fear that they will always be full and I will never be able to book again.
First class accommodation and amenities. Great central location. Everything was top notch from the beds to the lovely decor and the communication from the owner. Can not recommend highly enough.
Delighted with our second visit to these apartments. Understood why cushions and so on had had to be removed. We had a happy week and could choose to eat in the flat or in a local restaurant. Rather strange that there were only 3 teaspoons in the drawer but we managed fine! Washer/dryer took a bit of figuring out as there was no instruction booklet and it is nothing like our separate machines. Again, we managed fine. Searched everywhere for used linen bag but none to be found so wrapped everything in a sheet. Wish the keypads in and outside the underground parking lit up in the dark. With...more

Perfect holiday cottage with outstanding views. Everything you need is all there with a good quality Welcome Hamper. Great area for golf and walks from the doorstep. Easy scenic drives up to John O’Groats, or across to Ullapool. Only downside for us (and it’s a personal preference), the main bedrooms en-suite is open plan to the bedroom. Some people may not want that. However, that wouldn’t stop us from re-booking.
Lovely apartment. Spotless. Equipped with everything you need. Everything high quality. I usually pack my own towels/cleaning stuff, but this wasn't required. Loads of towels and cleaning stuff supplied. Shower is really good and beds very comfy.
Had a really enjoyable week in Ardshellach. The house is beautiful and had everything we wanted. There was always somewhere to visit in the surrounding area. We even woke up to deer in the garden! Wouldn't hesitate to to come back again.
As I am sure has been reported before by others it is an excellent place to stay, on the front overlooking the bay and in a central location for that area of the coast.
This was our second stay at Raasay and we are already booked for next year. If you golf, enjoy beaches, and the lure of a beautiful old market town, you can’t beat Dornoch and Raasay!
Wonderful property with everything you could ask for. Great welcome from the hosts, attentive and available but never intrusive. The location is excellent right in the centre of town and the deli downstairs has everything and more for your stay. The property is beautifully decorated, clean and very large inside. The 3 rooms gave our family comfort and privacy and the large kitchen / lounge was a great place to come together. Thoroughly recommend this property for a stay in Dornoch which is a great base for relaxing, touring, golfing and has some decent restaurants too. The best feedback I can...more
We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend in the Coach House. It was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Will recommend it .
In immaculate condition, very clean, well equipped and quiet. Good supply of dishwasher tablets, washing powder, toilet roll etc. 10 minute walk to city centre. Helpful customer services. A coffee maker or cafetiere would have been nice.
This bungalow was in pristine condition & had everything you needed even down to providing sanitation.gloves, door sanitation etc to cover all for this Covid 19 Well done all. We had a wonderful time there-peace & tranquility if you want a peaceful holiday but all the amenities for travelling to Inverness-Nairn -The Black Isle & many more are just a short drive away. We will look forward to our next visit there
This was the most amazing accommodation you could ever hope for.First class in every way.We wish we could have stayed longer. Our hosts were very friendly and we enjoyed the limited contact we had in these difficult times. It has taken us 34 years to return to Port Henderson, it won't take us so long next time!
A fantastic, well fitted apartment near to Inverness city centre. Spotlessly clean, adhering to all Covid criteria. Claire is a most professional, efficient and helpful host.
We really enjoyed our stay thank you. Everything was very well organised, immaculately clean, comfortable and plenty of space. We couldn't believe how quiet it was for saying it is so near to the village. Thank you.
A lovely and cozy apartment with great views. Well located for exploring the Black Isle and further afield - less than a 10 minute drive to Dingwall. The apartment was well kitted out, including a washing machine and dishwasher. Great little touches with maps and information for what to do in the local area. And great hosts who were easy to communicate with before, during and after, despite the COVID restrictions. We have already recommended this apartment to family.
This cottage is centrally placed. Two minutes from town centre. Only downside is non permit holders parking outside cottage meant we had difficulty parking when we arrived. once they moved at tea;time we were able to shift our car. During term time it is noisy with school just behind it.
Three of us travelled up to Dornoch for a week of golf. We were greeted with an immaculately clean house with clean bedding and towels. Use of the washing machine, dishwasher and sky television were fantastic and much appreciated. We will be looking to book here again
Not blessed with the weather unfortunately, but could not give Lower Whinhill anything other than "Excellent" in all categories.
We had a lovely relaxing holiday at woodlands Norma & Brian made us feel really welcome left shortbread tea coffee & milk for us on our arrival would definitely recommend for a holiday.
Wonderful location for walks with spectacular views. The Old Stables is very well equipped, comfortable and spacious. We had an amazing time. The only problem we had was with the oven. It worked fine but the temperature markings have been rubbed off so it made setting the temperature of the oven very interesting. This was the only issue we had, everything else was perfect. Would definitely recommend this property.
Excellent accommodation in a good location, lots of great places to visit within a short drive away. Lovely beach at Shandwick only a short walk away. Owners were very attentive and gave us lots of recommendations for things to do and places to visit. Unbelievably clean and tidy accommodation, which is very reassuring in the current climate.
We were only on a four night break. We found the park clean and tidy attractive and well cared for. The caravan was comfortable and homely. I did find it a bit amusing though, that in a folder INSIDE the caravan, were very clear instructions on how to unlock the key safe. Perhaps guests could be armed with this information BEFORE arrival. Due to the current Covid crisis things are of course difficult, but we would have appreciated clearer instructions on what was expected of us to be posted clearly in the caravan, rather than little notes within the bedroom wardrobe.
Amazing place, peace, views ,walks and tranquility beyond words, great hosts and area, basically it was perfect
The apartment was extremely clean and fresh, which was exactly what we wanted in these days of Covid.
Our second visit to this cottage, love the location. Very nice for a short, relaxing break. Nice Hotel next door for food and more very good places to eat around and about. Lovely log fire which we enjoyed immensely. Would go back again.
Cromarty is a charming small town with many amenities (even in these difficult times). The Fisherman's Cottage provided all we needed- comfort, warmth, decent facilities and great location 2 minutes from the sea. Don't recommended taking car to cottage door on arrival. Very tricky reverse in the dark! Covid protection seemed exemplary.
Enjoyed a week here with pleasant weather which made the outside seating area and garden very welcome. Good view from the house and garden. Indoors everything needed was provided. Garage for bikes was a bonus. Would return if need accommodation in the area again.
We had a very enjoyable stay. The house has superb views across the Dornoch Firth and the large balcony takes full advantage of them. The house has all the facilities you need and when we had a minor issue it was dealt with promptly by the house manager. We would definitely stay here again.
This property was in a excellent location for exploring the surrounding area. It was a well equipped property and was very comfortable. Would highly recommend.
New TV was a great addition to great cottage. Bowlins never disappoints, having enjoyed several breaks there. Perfect location, warm and comfortable, meeting all our needs easily. Looking forward to more visits in future.
Clean, comfortable and great parking. Perfect place to stay when visiting Inverness and surrounding area. Quiet neighbourhood and very handy for supermarket and petrol station.
We really enjoyed our five nights at the Bird’s Eye View in Dornoch. The apartment was ideal, with a great central location. We’ll definitely be back.
This was an excellent property to stay at in Inverness, location was fantastic, facilities in the flat were very good, upstairs neighbours, however, were loud!
This was more than we expected a lovely little cottage with ample room and plenty of parking and gardens to use. The cottage is ideally placed for the town and beach and less than 2 minutes walk to the golf club, also well placed for the local golf clubs in the area.
Third time staying here and it was wonderful as all previous visits. Great location, great house and brilliant to have the hot tub etc to use when the weather is good/bad. Love Aviemore and would always look to book here when we return in the future. Only feedback would be to provide more bin liners/dishwasher tablets/detergent.....not quite enough when there's a house full and a lot of outdoor activities are generating washing etc.
We really appreciated this accommodation. There was a homely feeling about it. We enjoyed the setting and could see if we spent longer there were nice walks we could have done. The owners were very friendly but not obtrusive. We will place this accommodation on our list if managed to visit this area again.
We had a lovely stay, it's a very comfy house and Karen is on hand to deal with any need we had. We would definitely come back
The apartment was lovely and spacious, the beds were very comfortable and there was lots of storage space. It was great to have two big bathrooms and a separate laundry room. The living/dining/kitchen area was a fab open plan area too. The apartment was easy to find, not far from the town and there was plenty of parking. Although the kitchen was quite well equipped, some items were clearly nearing renewal time as have had a lot of visible use. The high level of customer service was evident when we had expressed some concerns about the standard of cleanliness in the kitchen and lounge areas upo...more
We thought the Artists Cottage was just a delight. It was cosy as toast in October and full of Charles Rennie Macintosh character. Very spacious and with everything we needed in a holiday home. Lovely walks from the door in a quiet but not remote location. We will be back.
Our stay in Schotland (Highlands) was very pleasant. At the Balorrin house we had magnificent conditions to make everything great when we stayed there in the evening. With four bedrooms, two bathrooms and 7 beds we had a lot of space. The livingroom was very specious and had every comfort. The kitchen was very good utilitated so knocking was like a feast. If we go once more to the Highlands we will definitely book the Balorrin house again.
Really enjoyed our stay - super cottage and the wood burning stove was a massive bonus - one thing I would say is that the shower would benefit from some form of pump as the pressure was low.
We were really looking for a private bolt hole for a few days where we could read, fall asleep and read again if we felt like it. We didn’t want the restriction of a hotel room so this one bed very well equipped apartment was really perfect. It had excellent heating which was essential for a few days in the Scottish Highlands during February. All in all we loved it, would recommend it to anyone and would certainly return.
This is a great place to get away for a nice weekend and privacy. We loved the area and the people. Great.
Spent 4 nights here in this very well presented, equipped and spotlessly clean apartment. For those unfamiliar with Cromarty it offers lots of history and interesting architecture, and there are many fabulous walks on the doorstep. Nice view over the Cromarty Firth even if it is a little over-populated with North Sea drilling-rig flotsam. Would definitely recommend a stay here.
The apartment is modern and clean. The location is wonderful for easy access to the city and yet quiet. It’s great to have parking outside. The only issues are that the shower is just a trickle and the kettle lid is broken. The bed is comfortable. I’d book to stay here again if coming to Inverness.
This was the perfect house for our getaway. It is right on the water with beautiful views and was ideal for the many walks we went on. We brought our 5mth old baby and dog and we were well provided for. We will definitely be booking this house again.
The place is great and clean but the bed was lumpy and the sofa was uncomfortable. That said all the furnishings were great, but all the glasses had cracks in them which wasn’t ideal.
Lovely apartment in a very quiet residential area but only around 15 minutes walk into the centre of Nairn. The apartment was spacious and had everything you needed with a very high standard of cleanliness and furnishings. Fantastic views from the balcony which is a big bonus especially on sunny days.
Lovely apartment. Immaculately clean, ideal location for centre of town, train, bus stations and local pub. Owners very kind and accommodating to own needs.
Great all round value for money, Very central to all the shops so you can park your car in the secure enclosed carpark.
If there is any real criticism it must be the heating in the property it felt cold for October and with no other portable heating available it would not warm up quickly. Very quite and peaceful location in a residential area. Would stay there again.
Great location close to the amenities. Apartment was in good condition as well. Arrival instructions were clear and there was no confusion.
Beautiful apartment and well maintained . Would definitely book again . Location is ideal for a family or quiet break
Had an excellent few days in Aviemore in this ideally located flat. Very central for shops , pubs and restaurants. Couple of small issues that would enhance the stay but would still highly recommend the property.
Four adults, a toddler and a dog all spent four nights in this property. It's the third time we've stayed here and is our "go to" property when we visit Aviemore. The property is set within a fully enclosed very large garden. This was necessary given the dog and toddler we had with us. The property is fully sticked and has all the white appliances you need. The hot tub was well used. Aviemore itself is a 20 minute walk away and the terrain is flat. We
The apartment suited our needs well, being close to the cycle paths and general Aviemore facilities. It was warm and very well equipped. The only downside was the lack of storage for the bikes. They had to be left outside open to the elements. If staying there you should try the Route 7 café , excellent cakes!
Sunnybank is in a great location. Close to Dornoch beach and the town centre so you can walk to both within minutes. The property was clean, well kept and well equipped with everything you might need. A home from home.
Comfortable apartment in a great location in Inverness city centre, with everything you need close by. The apartment was clean, modern and well equipped, with great views directly onto the castle, river and beyond into the mountains. It was nice to be able to go out onto the balcony to get a better vew and take photos. Parking was secure and easy to operate using a keypad entry systems. Gael provided the information needed and there were no problems with accessing either the parking or the building/apartment.
This is our 6th visit to by the bridge apartments its our home from home, we will most certainly be back again soon. Thanks to Lisa at Gael Holidays for her help when we phoned the office the day we arrived, she was very helpful.
really satisfied except the lack of heating system the first morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Blarmore Studio has been godsent for our move from North Wales to Inverness during the coronavirus lockdown operating in both countries. Without a stable, comfortable and convieniently located place to shift to for my husband with multiple health issues and I, it would have been a very stressful period. The landlady and the agency have been very safety conscious and the apartment is well stocked and all appliances are available that make staying here very comfortable and easy for shopping. Public transport is also a few metres away.
The apartment filled our needs for a few days away from home to unwind. It is spacious and very comfortable. Being in a shared building the entrance is not welcoming as it is in need of decoration, but once in the accommodation there were no problems .
This is a lovely flat in a great location. The accommodation was perfect for us and we will definitely stay again. Everything was really clean, modern and fresh. We could walk into town and round to the local bakery and deli for croissants and lunch. It was a last minute booking with Gael Holidays and it was really easy to book and all the information we got through was excellent.
I was given a lovely welcome and all the family enjoyed the hot tub and home. I would definetly come back again.
We very much enjoyed our stay at Ivydene. The house is very comfortable and well equipped. Cromarty is a wonderful place to visit. The surrounding area is lovely and there is plenty to see and do.
The accommodation was brilliant. Extremely clean, inviting and comfortable. The beds were very comfy and the overall condition was very good you could really tell this was a well cared for property. It’s a perfect distance to walk into aviemore and was nice and quiet being in and around a residential area. Only suggestion would be to try and free up some space in the kitchen for food storage. The kitchen is very well equipped but a few empty cupboards would be ideal :) Overall delighted and would stay again.
Our 4th stay in Beach View and, as ever, warm, comfortable and super clean. The location is perfect with great views over the Links and Moray Firth. The house is spacious for the three of us, tastefully decorated, warm and with great attention to covid detail, which reduces any anxiety about staying during the pandemic. For that reason, the kitchen equipment is a bit sparse. Gael Holiday Homes and the owner were super attentive and dealt quickly with our enquiries. The house is on the edge of the hugely interesting Fishertown, close to the harbour, where there is a great wee cafe. Easy acce...more
We had a lovely time at Armadale house, it has a very well equipped kitchen and beautiful views. The beds are very comfortable and it has a cosy living space.
The place was really clean and modern. Lovely view of the river and we had an amazing stay. Just a note for the cleaners - they need to clean all the cob webs that were on the ceilings in all the rooms and the kitchen.
We had a fabulous stay at Carn Eilrig! The property had been cleaned to a high standard and provided a very comfortable stay. We loved the fact that it was built in the style of a traditional ski chalet and although we didn't have the snow to go with it, we found it very warm and cosy. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
A lovely place, beautiful view out to see, comfortable and clean. All on one level. Chairs could do with recovering.
Super location by the river, very quiet, private parking and convenient for shops and city centre. Cosy, comfortable flat.
Great that we were able to book a short break particularly on days that suited us. Flat was clean and well presented and had everything we needed for our stay.
This apartment is very comfortable, close to Inverness City Centre and an excellent place to stay while exploring the beautiful Scottish Highlands. Highly recommended!
Positives : reasonably priced comfortable accommodation for 8 people (4 bedrooms) on north outskirts of Aviemore. Pathway to walk into town - centre is approx 1.5miles away. Bedrooms all comfortable. Bathrooms modern. Negatives : table in dining room only able to seat 6 people, 2 grey seats in living room had stain marks on arm rests, one of the lights on extractor fan in kitchen not working and although fan made a noise it wasn't working to extract when cooking so had to open kitchen door, 2 bedside lights not working (assume new lightbulbs needed), dishwater had not been emptied and some ...more
The owner of the property was very helpful keeping me informed with text messages which i found really good, the property was just a few miles off the A9 which was good also plenty to do on the Black Isle walking, mountain biking Inverness was about 15mins drive away.
Great little cottage, however the mattresses were rock hard and there are cobwebs all over the upper windows and light fittings and the cooker hood was full of dust. Also, you really should mention the view of the oil rig from the back garden. The fence at the bottom of the garden is a safety concern and should be removed or replaced as it is rotten and collapsing. Not great when children are around to hurt themselves on.
No complaints, except the basin very small, the shower not very powerful and all the lights so dark, we couldn't see to read or do paperwork, and had to use our torches! Kept meaning to buy better bulbs, but always forgot. We were there for work, so it was important to be able to do paperwork each night, and I need to read in bed at night. Otherwise, we were very comfortable and warm, and had everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped, we had a comfy sofa each, and the table extended to give me room for the paperwork (by torchlight). The bed was amazing. Very comfortable and a...more
