The Nook caters for two guests plus a cot comfortably. It offers secluded, cosy and comfortable accommodation with beautiful fixtures and fittings. Presented over two floors with king sized bed, wood burning stove and private garden it really is the perfect hide away.

Excellent hideaway any time of the year.

What a find. Stayed a week here as moving and needed temporary accommodation. After a stressful time , it was so good to stay here. Great location, very welcoming. House was spotless, warm and had everything you could need. The log burner was great and really added to the charm of the house. I would thoroughly recommend any time of the year.

The Nook was beautifully decorated, with many small and thoughtful touches that meant staying was a pleasure. Fully equipped, with a very comfortable bed, a fantastic hot powerful shower and a gorgeous outdoor area to sit and eat.

Hosts were very accommodating to our extra requests, and made us feel very welcome.

Would definitely stay again.

Wow! What an amazing accommodation. We booked the nook for a short stay as going to a wedding and it was just perfect. We had some lovely little treats on our arrival which was a complete surprise. Such a thoughtful couple who are on hand if you need them. The nook was a unique little one bedroom cottage with everything you could want and more! It was the perfect getaway for us and we will not hesitate to book in the near future.

Everything from initial contact to check out was all great.
Jules made sure we were informed about booking, check in, the local amenities & there was a super essential packs to welcome us on arrival.
The cottage was the best equipped we had ever stayed in & had everything you could ever need & more for a staycation.
Great hosts, super location to visit lots of attractions in the area. Cannot wait to visit again.

Stayed here 2 nights emerging from lockdown. Beautifully presented and well supplied with all we needed plus a welcome bottle and croissants for breakfast. Worth pointing out narrow staircase to upper/mezzanine bedroom and for the less athletic a very awkward shower/bath arrangement in the bathroom downstairs is a great use of space but for me after a hip replacement impossible to negotiate. however, if you are younger and fitter than me this is a great place to stay! We loved the outside eating space too, while the Redan Inn a short walk away is very good indeed with lots of outside space.

The Nook is one of the very best self-catering cottages we have ever stayed in. This is no throwaway comment - We have stayed in a lot of them and we are very fussy!

The Nook is perfect for two. It is cleverly designed and tastefully decorated. It is spotlessly clean and comfortable. The mattress is fantastic - and so is the shower! It is warm too, with the added attraction of a wood-burner. A great deal of thought has gone into this cottage.

It is ideally located for visiting the Mendips, Bath, Frome, Glastonbury etc. It is near a fairly busy road through Chilcompton, but tucked away enough, behind the main house, that that does not spoil it at all.

We will definitely be back.

Comfortable cosy thoughtfully equipped and decorated to a very high standard making the Nook a wonderful base for a stay in beautiful Somerset. The location couldn’t be better within easy reach of Bath, Wells, Glastonbury & the coast. Great eateries nearby but special mention to the Litton which was superb and safe. And finally Julie & Ben were great hosts discrete but close by if you needed them.

The Nook is a beautifully furnished, well-equipped self catering place perfect for a couple. It is conveniently located near to Wells and Bath, in the village of Chilcompton. The property has all mod cons, is very stylish, and has a lovely little garden outside (complete with seating 'nook' under cover) to enjoy outdoor evenings, or have breakfast by the strawberry and fig plants. It adjoins another property but is completely self-contained and feels secluded and private because of the fenced off garden. We were given a welcome hamper of yummy things on arrival, though if you need it the village has a shop and a clever milk-vending machine designed to cut down on plastic use. The property has secure off-street parking and the owners were really helpful and welcoming. We had a lovely stay - we would highly recommend The Nook to others.

A short break in this lovely cottage with the rest of the family in the adjoining one made for a perfect Easter break.
The Nook was spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable and warm with a lovely welcome basket together with an Easter egg. Thank you.

This is a stunning cottage, with everything we could possible have to enjoy our stay. Even a mini hamper on our arrival which saved us going out to the shops after our trip down.( There is a very good co-op only a few minutes away by foot.)
The bathroom is down stairs, which is lovely, but the bath is very high to get in and out .(the shower is over the bath)
The TV is very high on the wall,we found we were looking up to it,rather than at it.
You have your own private garden and a little hide away to sit in for drinks or a meal outside, unfortunate the weather was not on our side for us to do this, so we lit the wood burner and stayed in, instead.
There is a parking space inside the gate.
The owners were very approachable, and friendly.
