We had a great visit to York and our place off Gillygate was brilliant. Perfect location for us with great access to the city and only minutes from super shops, restaurants and city highlights. Having an off road parking space was also extremely valuable, and the host was quick to follow up on any queries and support our stay. I'm sure we'll be back in the future!

We loved our time here in York. This apartment was very homely and cosy, we loved it. It had everything we needed, it was spacious and the layout was quirky which is a change. Very clean throughout and the beds were very comfy. Easy walking distance from everything. Would return

Great location, the flat was right in the centre of York so it was very easy to get to all the local attractions. The fact that it has a parking space is an added advantage of this flat. Communication with the host was great before and during the stay. I would highly recommend this accommodation.

A quirky flat with a good amount of space. The parking was a great result too. Sadly very few cups/glasses - one hi ball and one tumbler plus some wine glasses

Well appointed and ideally close to the historic centre of York and with the rarest of facilities, a private parking slot. I would have awarded it five stars if it weren’t for the fact that it was on a very noisy main route from the hospital through York. As a result, the noise of sirens was almost continuous until late in the evening.

The only downside to this place is the external noise. If you're a light sleeper (& we are) there's a fair bit of traffic noise as the main bedroom faces onto Gillygate which I believe is part of the inner ring road. But this did not at all effect us, nor would it deter us from booking this property again.
It was a lovely stay though, this is truly a great place to stay & is located close to the city centre, ideally located for everything you could need.

This property was perfect for what we were looking for during our visit to York.
There was 3 of us travelling, the apartment was very spacious, beds were very comfy. Layout was ideal. Great location and just short walk into the heart of the city and there was pubs, cafes and shops on your doorstep. Parking space was provided. Hosts were very helpful and quick to communicate with. Stayed two nights at Portland - great location only 2 mom walk from York Minster and all the restaurants and pubs - ideal. The accommodation was spotless and very comfortable. Lovely separate sitting area with comfy sofas and good TV (not that we watched much as too much sightseeing to do). Windows in sitting area needed looking at as we could not get them to stay open and the sun was beaming in on an afternoon. We did manage to wedge one open a little. Kitchen clean but could have had more glasses for water but there were a few small wine glasses. Bathroom lovely with separate loo ideal. Bedrooms spacious and beds comfy - what more do you need.
Overall we would definitely stay here again and would recommend anyone else to use the apartment.

Had a lovely couple of nights staying here. It’s very close to the attractions and a short walk from the train station. The apartment was very clean and beautifully presented. It felt like a home from home. I would definitely return to this property if I visit York again.
