Situated in beautiful and historic Bamburgh Village, this luxury apartment sleeps 4 and is on the first floor, offering wonderful views. Wild Goose has an original open fire, stunning views from the lounge bay window out to sea and over to Budle Bay, private parking, and an enclosed shared garden. This spacious, classic apartment is part of the beautiful old West House which was originally a hotel back in 1930s called 'The Wild Goose', hence the name! Free Wi-Fi. Beautiful place to stay with a sea view. Well equipped with a welcoming hamper on arrival was a lovely touch.

Lovely apartment in beautiful location with amazing views. Perfect short stay to explore the area. We will be coming back and have recommended the apartment to friends already.

We had a lovely break in Wild Goose in Bamburgh.
The Property was very comfortable and clean, and we particularly enjoyed eating our meals at the window seat.
It was an easy to walk to the castle, beach, cafes and pubs, filling our stay with interesting and fun activities while also being convenient.

After hiking St Cuthbert's Way I found myself with a cold as I landed at the Wild Goose. But what a wonderful place to hold still. There were views from every room, comfortable seating and soft beds. There were enough nooks and crannies in the house to feel like I was having an adventure by just being there. The window seat of course was perfect, but we also adored the Peter Pan window we could climb out, where we could sit at a small table on an inviting balcony overlooking the hills. Thank you for the tips to go down to Carvers for "bits and bobs" and the welcome basket. I lived on that fabulous loaf of bread and jams until my body was ready to venture forth. Thank you for wonderful memories of holding still at the sea and being charmed into health!

cleaning appears to have not been upto to standards for a while.light bulbs not replaced,cooker hood not cleaned.beds were very comfortable and linen clean.great views from the lounge.

Our second visit and did not disappoint - lovely location and very spacious with everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. We really appreciated the food hamper which was adapted to meet our dietary needs - thank you.

One small observation was the kitchen floor - I had to wipe up a little water which we spilled and was quite surprised to see how dirty the floor was; maybe time for a really good mop. We also noticed quite a lot of dog hairs - appreciate that you accept dogs but we dont have a dog and try to avoid dog hair whenever we can due to a pet allergy.

Only minor points, we love wild goose and had a lovely time in Bamburgh we will certainly be back soon.

Out accommodation at Wild Goose was second to none. From the welcome Victoria sponge cake which we demolished upon our arrival to the comfort and cleanliness of the apartment. Everything was perfect.
Literally a 5 mins walk to the several pubs and restaurants and also the tea rooms. 10 mins walk to the beach and castle. The location is excellent.
The owner Jill is very helpful and put our mind at ease when we managed to lock ourselves out of the apartment and was able to help us find a solution straight away.
Regarding beach food there’s a decent shack just off the beach called the Bait of Bamburgh. Go down the road called The Wynding. My favourite though was the Creel and Reel which is located in the car / trailer park just south of the castle on the way out to Seahouses. Chorizo and monkfish skewers to die for.
All in all we had a brilliant time at Wild Goose, Bamburgh and Northumberland. Looking forward to coming back.

Wild Goose is an extremely thoughtfully appointed, beautifully decorated and maintained apartment. It oozes peace and calm and is a wonderful place to retreat from the pressures of everyday life and enjoy the stunning Northumbrian coast and countryside. Staying there felt like an privilege. Absolutely loved every second of my stay and hope to return.

Wild Goose is a great apartment in a lovely old building, ideally placed for exploring the wider area and also an easy walk to the pub!
Well appointed and with a great window seating area for watching the ever changing weather and the northern lights (original glass a bit odd at first, but you get used to it).
Owner was really lovely and helpful with my daft question re key.

Really nice and spacious accommodation, clean, tidy and within easy walking distance to pubs and restaurants, Middle Inn Pub food really nice, the butchers large steak pie well worth getting, copper kettle nice sandwiches (bit pricey though), Ice cream bar good value though.

The castle can easily be walked to but up a hill so car park at top is a nice bonus for those of us who are lazy.

All in all my wife and I thought is was a very nice place to visit

Our fourth stay here and we return because of the following:- Spacious, light and airy rooms, all with great views. Well equipped and very comfortable. Breakfast in the bay window seating area overlooking the fields, the sea & in the distance - Lindisfarne. The open fire in the evening. Short walks to the village, the incredible beach and of course the castle. Coquet Cottages - professional and friendly.

Wild Goose has fantastic views of the sea close to Bamburgh, very well equipped with quality items and quite spacious - would highly recommend a stay here if you like Bamburgh and the Northumberland coast

Had a wonderful stay at Wild Goose. Beautifully furnished apartment in an amazing location. Perfect for walks. Loved the little alcove by the window for jigsawing until dark. Jill was really helpful when we needed some local advice for car issues, much appreciated.

We thoroughly enjoyed our weeks stay at Wild Goose and would definitely recommend and hope to return there again. The apartment is very spacious and well equipped, has 2 large bedrooms, large lounge with a dining table in the bay window with sea view, and well equipped kitchen. If we were being really picky, the TV in the lounge was quite small for the room size. However we didn’t spend much time watching TV so it didn’t bother us. Overall we loved the apartment. The welcome hamper and flowers were a lovely touch and much appreciated.

Wild Goose was absolutely perfect in every way. The apartment provided everything we needed for us both and our Labrador!
The views were amazing and as we wanted a restful week, the corner window seat provided a comfortable space to sit and eat and relax! We also enjoyed a happy hour on the balcony!
The shower in the property was excellent and the bed very comfortable with views to the sea!
A lovely hamper provided us with more than essentials. The property is so near to the local shops which was handy as we enjoyed cooking and experiencing the local butchers and deli. Also just round the corner is the fabulous Potted Lobster!
Easy walks to the beautiful beach too!
We will definitely hope to return one day!
