Wagtail Cottage is a gorgeous retreat just for two adults and up to one infant in the peaceful farm conversion development of Glororum, just 1 mile from the centre of Bamburgh Village. Located on an incline to benefit from views of Bamburgh Castle, Awarded 4 Stars with Gold Award by Visit England, this cottage is all single storey. There is private parking, an enclosed garden, electric fire and Wagtail Cottage is pet-free. You can walk into the centre of Bamburgh village in around 20 minutes. Wagtail cottage is simply perfect, one of the best cottages we have ever stayed in. It is very comfortable, spacious and extremely warm and cosy with furnishings to a high standard.
It was spotlessly clean and had excellent Wi-Fi availability. The owners had thought of everything as it had all you could wish for and more.
It is in a great location for exploring Northumberland and so peaceful.
We highly recommend Wagtail cottage and look forward to returning.

Very comfortable and well equipped cottage. It was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The cottage is in a great location just outside the village of Bamburgh. Highly recommended.

A comfortable, well appointed and well equipped holiday home in a lovely setting. The welcome goodies were very welcome.
The view of Bamburgh Castle from just outside (or if you stand on one of the dinning benches) is stunning. The night sky is worth a look as well.

Spacious, clean and quiet cottage about a mile outside of bambrough. Had everything we needed supplemented by a lovely we l one basket and flowers. Offered good access to all Northumberland attractions. Could not fault it.

Overall the property was well maintained and comfortable. We have been to this area before so it is well located for visiting the surrounding area. Whilst there is seating available for outside seating probably lacks a little privacy. There is parking available but care needed when accessing.

We really enjoyed our stay at Wagtail Cottage, ideal location for exploring the area. The cottage was beautifully appointed and comfortable and we were delighted with the welcome pack of local products. We discovered new walking routes along the coast and in the National Park and found local pubs and cafes to eat when we weren’t cooking in the cottage.

Disappointed with Croquet Cottages for not honouring a 10% discount coupon from a previous stay at one of their cottages. They sited a policy change in 2023, but failed to communicate directly with their previous clients.
Delighted with Wagtail Cottage, the owners have a created a lovely well appointed property with everything you could wish for.
Ideal for walking into Bamburgh and connections to other towns and villages.

We had a wonderful restful week exploring Northumbria whikst staying at this spotlessly clean cottage. Everything is catered for. As we had wet weather it was a bonus to have a washing machine/tumble dryer.

We have used Coquet cottages on many occasions and never been disappointed and Wagtail cottage was no exception. A lovely location from which to visit the coast and inland . The cottage itself was very well equipped and decorated. All home comforts provided and of course the Croquet welcome pack with essentials and luxuries.
Information on local eateries, places of interest provided and info from the guest book also helpful.
A lovely week was enjoyed by us both.
