The Puffin's Burrow is as cosy as the name suggests. This gorgeous 2 bedroom luxury apartment is ideal for a couple or a small family. It has an open plan living space that allows you to spill out to an unusually large patio, which is a perfect sun trap in the summer. The Puffin's Burrow has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, is accessible on one level by using the elevator, and has a private parking space for 1 car. No pets. Free Wi-Fi. Free digital guidebook.

Puffin Burrows was a delight to stop at. There was everything you could have needed in the property. It was very clean and a great standard. The welcome hamper was delightful. We would 100% stay there again. We also went on a boat trip to farne islands which was great and well worth it, but wrap up it's cold. Bamburgh castle was great also.

I must say this break was one of the best experiences. Everything from booking the apartment to the actual stay was carried out with great ease and the professionalism of was so impressive, especially the information available to download regarding the apartment and all the details. Very reassuring indeed. We were kept informed by the booking company and also the owner of the property.

A lovely cottage, comfortable and well equipped in central Alnwick. Dawn was very helpful throughout our stay. Our second stay here and we would book again.

The apartment was centrally located in Alnwick town, very convenient for the shops, pubs, castle and gardens. A lovely base to enjoy your visit to Northumberland. Convenient for Seahouses and Bamburgh Castle.
Our stay was comfortable, sofas and bed were good. Shower worked well and so did the Wifi. The flat had some good outside space, in the sun later in the day.
The flat overall is quite dark, this did not bother us, as we were out a lot, but you would always need lights on in the front bedroom and hallway.
The only disappointment was some of the cleanliness. We don’t think the kitchen had been cleaned at all. Splashes of coffee on floor and splashes on surfaces and sink wall. Crumbs on dining chairs, and cooker needed cleaning. We needed to wash crockery before use. Generally the flat needed a proper clean.

Loved our stay in Puffins Burrow - a great, comfortable apartment in such a good location. The castle and Alnwick gardens are a few minutes walk away, as are many excellent bars and restaurants.

We were delighted with our stay at Puffin Burrow. All information regarding our stay was provided well in advance and to high professional standard. The welcome pack was well thought out especially the mini Easter eggs and the bunch of daffodils. Books and games were provided for inclement weather and TV and WiFi was provided in every room. Kitchen was very clean and well equipped and maintained. The lounge and external patio area were very nice. The building was very quiet and the allocated parking was ideal. All in all a lovely apartment in a great location. Would recommend to anyone as base to explore the area.

We had a weeks stay in Puffins Burrow in October 2023. This was wonderful, from the booking, the info before arrival, the welcome pack, the access with a wheelchair and parking, the home comforts and cleanliness. All the little extras like games, umbrella, shopping bag, night lights/torches to name some. This is in a perfect place to explore Alnwick on foot and as a base to explore Northumberland. Only 4 miles from Almouth beach. Also outside space. Definitely recommend.

A fabulous, homely apartment well situated for all the amenities in town and an ideal position for exploring beautiful Northumberland. The apartment is well equipped with comfy beds, great decor throughout, and everything you need for a family holiday. The owners provided us with recommended walks and places to visit and we could not have asked for a better week. The weather was kind and everywhere we went did not disappoint. We also loved doing the Northumberland puzzles that we found amongst the many helpful guide books supplied, giving us more ideas and the history surrounding us. We just couldn't fit anymore in so will have to come back and would definitely stay at this lovely apartment again. The owners have thought of everything!

We loved our time at The Puffin's Burrow in the heart of Alnwick. The apartment was full of thoughtful touches that made it very welcoming & homely. From the relaxing colour palette, the luxury towels & bedding, the well chosen prints throughout, the brimming welcome basket of top quality local treats & essentials (& a separate treat left for our daughter) & the large vase of fresh flowers waiting on the dining table, it was clear that a great deal of time & care had been invested. As well as a good selection of books & board games, there was an impressive choice of premium streaming services all ready to go (under usernames which referenced the property's own name). Communication with the agents & the owners was exemplary & they could not do enough to help & support us with our precious break away. Knowing that, at times, the weather was likely to be wetter than ideal, the owner sent us lots of ideas for ways to spend those times, including links & details from her own research. I would highly recommend The Puffin's Burrow as a base, & haven, for visiting Alnwick & Northumberland.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay again at The Puffins Burrow. During our stay the weather was quite warm, and we found that during the night we struggled to sleep due to the fact that we didn't open the door/window because of the position near the car park and didin't feel secure. Therefore we bought a fan, and I think it would be helpful if one was provided.

I just wanted to add that the owner has provided a fan now for the property - no guests had previously mentioned this issue but agree that it's a good idea to ensure our guests' comfort. Also, there is already a very lightweight summer duvet provided in the bedroom as a choice, so that can also be utilised.
