The Old Library is a superb Georgian property located in the historic market town of Alnwick. Within walking distance of bars, restaurants, local independent shops, Alnwick Castle and Alnwick Garden. This quirky property offers centre of town luxury accommodation with the benefit of off-street parking. The Old Library has 2 bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms, a well-equipped kitchen, and am impressive living and dining area with original feature windows and vaulted ceilings. Welcomes 1 dog. Free Wi-Fi and free digital guidebook.

We enjoyed our stay here. The cottage was warm and comfortable and had a great ambience. We enjoyed the fact that we were able to walk to markets, shops and restaurants. Alnwick is well placed for visiting the coast of many historical venues. We appreciated the calls and texts we received from your customer service team which kept us informed and checked on our satisfaction. We have already booked another cottage for next year.

We really enjoyed our time in Alnwick and the surrounding area. We spent much time walking on the fabulous beaches and enjoying the local cafes and restaurants.
The Old Library was most comfortable and was very handily situated close to the town centre and perfect for catching the local buses - from just outside the door.
We would happily recommend the O.L. as an excellent place to stay.
Make sure, however, that you reverse your car into the parking area/s. The pigeons spend their evenings ‘decorating’ anything below.

Beautifully furnished and well equipped, the Old Library contained everything we needed for our stay in Alnwick. The bedroom and bathroom arrangements were suitable for 2 couples holidaying together. The welcome hamper was lovely - we especially appreciated the scones and Northumberland jam.Our dog was also pleased with the treat basket.

Great quirky property. Very comfy sofas. Included everything you would require for a short break. Kitchen well equipped and welcome hamper full of lovely fresh goodies.

A brilliant holiday company to book with!
From start to finish the service was professional, helpful and friendly. The accommodation was superb and the welcome hamper was extraordinary.
A first visit to Northumberland for 4 friends - what a fantastic county. Everyone we came into contact with were so friendly and welcoming.

We are regular visitors to Northumberland and more often than not we always book through Coquet Cottages. The reasons we use them are their excellent range of choice and their fantastic customer service. Once again they were magnificent in all respects.
This property is relatively new to the range. It is well equipped, stylish and in a great location bang in the middle of Alnwick. What is more there is ample parking at the property which is really helpful in a busy town such as Alnwick.

We had a wonderful stay at the Old Library. The cottage has been renovated to a very high standard and the facilities are second to none.
Alnwick is a great location for exploring the beautiful Northumberland coast. We had many day trips from the Old Library and we couldn’t fault the location.
The house is roomy, airy and very clean. We have rented multiple cottages across the UK and this one has been the best by far!

Lovely cottage downstairs. I am in my 70's and found the 2 steps up to the front door a bit difficult. Another lady had said a handrail would be beneficial. Good kitchen with dishwasher and washer/dryer. Living room steps are narrow up to the seating area but there is a handrail. Upstairs, there is a good shower room but the access to the bedroom is not easy. The width of the staircase (about 4 steps) is very narrow and then you have to step over a rafter to get into the bedroom. Also little wardrobe space. The wardrobe in the main bedroom is not long enough to hang a dress in unless you wear mini dresses. Have to say, motorised blinds and curtains are great! May have to get some myself.

I’ll always use Coquet when we come back to Northumberland. A really luxurious place to stay, brilliant customer service and every detail thought out perfectly. Can’t believe what good value this is compared to Airbnb.

Great location for a visit to Northumberland, close to pubs and restaurants in the evening, yet the old Library is tuck away and really quiet. Perfect place to stay in Northumberland . Alnwick Garden are fabulous , particularly in the spring. Don’t forget to visit the amazing beach’s

The Old Library was a contemporary renovation of an old building. Very comfortable furnishings and equipped with everything you would need for a relaxing break.
We have stayed in many self catering cottages and this was the most beautifully furnished of any we have stayed in.
We enjoyed being in the centre of Alnwick with the benefit of private parking. A great base for exploring Northumberland.

Beautiful spacious property in the middle of Alnwick with good off road parking. Well equipped with quality fixtures and fittings all round. Great location for exploring the surrounding area with lots of lovely pubs restaurants and cafes on your doorstep.
