Quay West is an exceptional coastal retreat in the vibrant fishing port of Amble. Its best feature is the hot tub on the balcony, making the most of the incredible wide-spanning views across the coastline and Amble Harbour, also facing west to make the most of those outstanding sunsets. We have enjoyed our several breaks at Radcliffes Lodge - Quay West and Hemingways, the accommodation is first class clean and inviting. Not had any problems on our stays but staff are pleasant, helpful and I am sure any assistance would be dealt with quickly and efficiently.
Amble is a pleasant town there are several eateries and within 1/2 hour drive lots more to choose from.
The cafe at the apartment has very good beer and snacks, again very pleasant and helpful staff.
Until our next visit.

A fabulous stay. The location is perfect for Amble and exploring Northumberland. The views from the balcony and hot tub are some of the best I’ve seen. The place itself is luxurious in design, comfort and has all the amenities you’d need in a stay. Split over two floors is also a benefit with putting children to bed early. Reception on the ground floor also means there is help on hand if needed. We hope to stay again.

From the minute we stepped through the door at Quay West, our jaws dropped! The view overlooking Amble harbour is sensational. Every minor detail has been thought of from the beautiful furnishings to the provision of every essential you could think of. (In fact, we over packed with things that we thought we would need but weren't necessary) Lovely hot tub - perfect for watching the sunset each evening, extremely comfortable beds & exceptionally well equipped kitchen. Cleanliness is outstanding - everything seemed as if it was brand new!

Amble itself is lovely - lots of fantastic places to eat out - Radcliffe's do a great breakfast (60 second walk from the apartment) The Harbour Inn, The Old Boathouse, Chinese takeaway (by harbour) - all excellent choices.

We visited Holy Island, Alnwick, Warkworth and Druridge Bay - all fabulous places to visit. The castle at Warkworth was very interesting (& dog friendly too).

All in all we had a fantastic time and we all agreed that one day, we would love to return. Huge thanks to the lovely staff for making Quay West one of our best family memories ❤️

We have been visiting Quay West since it first became available to rent. Tony and his team are available each day during office hours and are very helpful. The property is very welcoming, clean and well equipped. The views across the marina up the river Coquet towards Warkworth Castle and beyond are second to none. Shops, pubs and restaurants are a short walk away and cater for all of your needs.
All round an excellent property and location.

We originally considered Quay West when planning our Northumberland holiday but weren't sure it would be right for us as we had our Labrador dog so ideally wanted outdoor space. We chose a different cottage in nearby Warkworth and then encountered an issue with that cottage which led to us having to be relocated after just one day into a 7 day stay. Step forward the Coquet team who went above and beyond to help us find an alternative property and that property was Quay West.

Firstly a massive thanks to Tony (the owner) for accommodating us at such very short notice and we quickly realised we could not have been more wrong with regards our original decision that Quay West would not work for us. There is plenty of private parking on arrival and the apartment is beautiful, spotlessly clean and furnished to a very high standard. It has three stunning bedrooms with smart TV's in each and the Sealy pillow top mattresses are so comfortable everyone was guaranteed a great nights sleep. There is an ensuite bathroom to the main bedroom with walk in shower and a similar bathroom available to the other two rooms. Both were immaculately clean and the showers were really powerful. The living accommodation is all open plan which was ideal for our party. Everything within the apartment appears new and is very high standard including all the kitchenware and utensils. Tony and the team have literally thought of everything. Two fridges was an added bonus and the welcome hamper with home made scones and the fresh flowers all added to the really warm homely feeling we got on arrival. It was just a really great place to be. The hot tub and seating on the balcony made for a great place to relax even when the weather let us down as the balcony is screened. It was great to just sit (in or out of the hot tub) and watch everything at the marina unfold. As for our Labrador, he loved it, there is a huge grassed area just by the Marina that is a haven for dog walkers at all times of the day so he enjoyed the outside space and met lots of new friends. Amble has so much to offer and we simply cant recommend Quay West enough. It was absolutely first class and deserves all the 5 star reviews achieved so far.

A beautiful apartment, immaculately clean and well presented. Amble provides a beautiful backdrop for exploring Northumberland and the apartment could not have been better placed for our visit.

We thought so much of the apartment that we have already booked to return next year.

This is a super apartment. We have just stayed for the 2nd time. The apartment itself is very well appointed and comfortable. We love it's location overlooking the marina. The balcony is the perfect place to sit and watch either whatever is going on in the marina, the fabulous array of birds that can be spotted or just to enjoy the fabulous views. Being able to relax in the hot tub is a welcome bonus after a day out.

Quay West is a lovely apartment in a great location. The views are stunning and viewing them from the hot tub makes them even better! The apartment was so clean and comfortable and the welcome basket was very much appreciated, filled with lots of local treats and handy essentials. We had a great holiday and would love to come back!

This was our fourth visit to this wonderful property. Everything still looks brand new since our first visit. It is conveniently situated within walking distance of pubs, cafes, shops and marvellous restaurants. The views from the balcony are astonishing, especially at sunset.
There is usually a member of staff on site during office hours and they are so helpful if you need anything.
I have immediately booked again for next year.

Quay West was a delight to stay in with Tony and Lisa unobtrusively on hand to assist and suggest.

The weather was terrible but Amble was a great base with helpful suggestions from the owners as to where to eat or what to see.

We enjoyed ourselves from start to finish, such a relaxing place to stay.
