Lost Lobster Cottage is one of our most romantic cottages, beautifully furnished with comfort and pure luxury in mind. This gorgeous old house has been completely restored back to the bare stone walls and finished to a beautiful standard. Overlooking Embleton Dene, the cottage sleeps 4 guests and welcomes 4 dogs. It has a wood-burning stove and a roll-top claw-foot bath for cosy nights in and pampering! No children age 10 or under years old are permitted, there is free Wi-Fi and a large, enclosed lawned garden.Free Digital Guidebook.

Thanks again - we just come home when we come to Lobster - so easy and comfortable. Appreciate the extra touches. It is pricey relative to some other parts of the country but worth it as our main holiday and so important to us.

By far the best cottage we’ve ever stayed in - 10/10 for everything. The special touches are so lovely & thoughtful, right down to the phone call to say we could access the cottage early . Our 3 dogs loved their holiday treats too !! Our second stay here & it won’t be the last - Thank you Louise & Richard

Our long weekend at Lost Lobster Cottage in Embleton was a joy from the start. The lovely staff at Coquet Cottages were friendly and helpful throughout our booking process. I liked the paperless service and information provided. The cottage itself was amazing. I have commented many times to friends that it was like stepping into a Country Living style home. All the fixtures and fittings were luxurious and it was exquisitely furnished and decorated throughout- from the Christie towels to the stripped floorboards. Even the waste bin was superb quality.
The beds all had comfy toppers. The windows thoughtfully had blinds as well as curtains.
The generous hamper provided was suitable for most tastes and filled with local produce. Even the dogs had an enormous hamper.
The location was everything and more we'd been told. Embleton is still unspoiled with quaint cottages and there are golden white sands virtually on the doorstep. There is a lovely village farm shop nearby and sells every day items as well as local specialities.
The dogs loved the garden. I had been wondering if they would jump the wall but thankfully they didn't attempt it.



Our 4th visit to this property says it all!

Loved our stay at Lost Lobster Cottage - new location for us, and was definitely a favourite. Embleton a lovely village with pubs and shop, and good walks. Easy to walk to beach from cottage, and was comfortable, cosy and well equipped for our stay, would recommend, we will be back! Thank you.

Lost Lobster Cottage was probably the best dog friendly cottage we have ever stayed in. It was cosy, comfortable and warm and a pleasure to return to after a days walking. It was well equipped and the welcome pack both for humans and dogs was extremely thoughtful. The cottage is perfectly located for exploring the Northumberland coast and we will book again.

This cottage has everything, it’s very well equipped, warm and comfortable. We spent a wonderful 4 nights with 3 large dogs, and with easy access to the beach, pub and hotel restaurant the car wasn’t used.
Definitely thinking about rebooking

This was our second trip to Lost Lobster Cottage, it’s a delightful house in the lovely village of Embleton. It is very comfortable and you settle in immediately. The village has a nice pub and a couple of good shops for supplies. For us the proximity to the beach being 10-15 minutes walk away is the real advantage of this house especially if you have a dog. Great walks to Newton and a lunch and pint in the Ship or the Joiners a little further away just ideal. Embleton is well located for all the things you’d want to do during your stay. We love our stays at Lost Lobster.

A beautiful cottage, decorated to a very high standard and exceptionally clean. A quiet location with a lovely enclosed garden with afternoon and some evening sun - perfect for letting our Springer Spaniel snuffle around. Hampers for humans and dogs! Much appreciated. Fabulous dining kitchen perfect for family meals. Embleton is a delightful, small Northumberland village with a stunning beach and excellent local food. Cottage is well-located for visiting many other Northumberland gems. A perfect holiday! We will return!

Arrived in sunshine to the lovely village of Embleton, one of our favourite locations. The property was clean and we were were welcomed with a hamper of essentials which was welcome after a long journey. The coast line is stunning in that part of the world so despite the weather which was unseasonably chilly, we still made the most of sightseeing and catching up with family who live in the county. it was good to return to the cottage after a day out and relax on the sofas which were very comfy!
We will certainly return to the area in the future as there’s still much more to explore.

A great welcoming pack, very clean and everything you need to have a home from home stay.
Lovely area, very dog friendly, lots of amenities around even without a car. Beautiful clean beach, lots of walks and places of interest.
Definitely will recommend and encourage people to try.

Lovely stay in fantastically equipped house. We did pay more for Lost Lobster than for any other stay we have had in Embleton but were very happy with the house and all its facilities. Very comfortable and perfectly located.

We loved our stay at Lost Lobster Cottage , stayed in Embleton many times but this cottage is by far the best for us & our 2 dogs . Not only a beautiful cottage but a beautiful, secure garden. We will definitely book again & recommend it to family & friends - Thank you for a lovely relaxing holiday, we couldn’t fault a thing & the welcome hamper was a lovely special touch - Peaches & Lola say thank you for their treats too
