No logs were provided for the burner, it was hard to keep the house warm as the heating temperature kept being reset. Everyone appreciated all the ensuites and the wonderful garden. Loved our stay and we would have no hesitation in returning.

Thank you for your review of Honeypot House. We’re thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your stay and appreciated the en-suites and the wonderful garden. We apologise for the oversight regarding the logs for the burner. While we do provide very clear instructions and images for the heating in our digital guidebook, we’re sorry if that wasn’t sufficient during your stay. We truly appreciate your feedback and would love to welcome you back for another visit to Northumberland in the future!

Overall we enjoyed our stay but Honeypot House was a bit of a mixed bag. The traditional living room area was a nice space but no logs for the burner until October and it was difficult to heat the house on the cool nights. The garden area was lovely , the beds comfy but bathrooms tiny and kitchen equipment and furnishing often past its’ best.

Thank you for your feedback on your recent stay at Honeypot House. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed several aspects of the property. Honeypot House is a perfect property for a family get-together and the owners provide a fantastic service. We would like to clarify that our policy states logs are provided from October to April only, which covers the cooler months. Logs are readily available for purchase in Wooler, or they can be pre-booked with us for your arrival if desired outside October-April. Additionally, information on adjusting the heating is included in our Digital Guidebook which you had access to during your stay; simply pressing a button on the thermostat can increase the temperature if needed. We provide a virtual 3D tour on our website so if you need any measurements of a certain room, such as the bathroom, these can easily be calculated or we can do this for you if you wish. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us improve our services. Thank you again for staying with us, and we hope to welcome you back in the future.

Perfect stay, in the perfect place...

We were 9 in number with ages ranging from 81 to 12, comprising the Moore, Thompson, and Norris families. We came from the South West, London, Scotland and Chicago USA. Consequently Northumberland seemed a good place for us all to meet up. The county over the years has become a favourite choice, with wide skies, beatiful landscapes, castles and beaches. We struck lucky with Honeypot House, it suited all our needs perfectly. Everyone was pleased with their rooms, the indoor facilities, easy parking and, of course, the garden. Weather was kind, pretty sunny most days and little rain.Altogether a great place to enjoy and use as a base to explore the countryside. Our thanks to all those who made it possible.

The house is very well equipped and maintained and very comfortable. A grand base to explore all the great attractions of North Northumberland. Massive garden and huge parking space. Wooler does have some nice shops, but oddly only in the morning.

Honeypot house was tasteful and beautifully dressed with every comfort we were led to expect...so no nasty surprises.
We had so much planned to do in Northumberland and the house was a great base.

The garden was beautifully kept and we enjoyed enough sun to sit outside and even barbeque.

The holiday was over too soon and we loved every minute.

Excellent accommodation - 6 hikers in total and one lady. Brought bulk of breakfast foods and ate out every night. Equi distant between coast, Rothbury/Simonside and Cheviots -
So ideal for outdoor types. Amenities splendid and if you wanted to cook the kitchen is well equipped with everything you will need. Beds and showers excellent. Will be back! Mike

A fantastic house to celebrate a 60th birthday with family and friends.
There were 12 of us ( plus a small dog) and there was ample room. Each bedroom was comfortable with en suite facilities.
The garden is also amazing- we were lucky to have fantastic weather and spent lots of time in the garden.
The brewery is very near and is great for food/drinks.
Wooler itself was a little disappointing but had very friendly people and the basic shops that are needed.
Bamburgh is about 30 minutes away by car.
An amazing weekend- enjoyed by all

We booked Honey Pot Cottage to stay in for the week preceding our son’s wedding which was near Alnwick. It worked really well for our large group, with plenty of space and comfort and the host was very helpful and flexible.
The beds were super comfortable and there was some lovely walks straight from the property.

Great stay. Lovely house. Very warm even though we had a cold spell. Six en-suite bedrooms, large and well equipped kitchen, large lounge. Excellent off-street secure parking. All perfect for our family group of eleven. Super location near town centre. Our only complaint would be that one general waste bin is inadequate for a property of this size.

The house is perfect for large family gatherings
The owners have thoughts of everything
The very large safe enclosed garden is ideal for the children to play games
It’s a perfect base for discovering Northumberland we visited Cragside, Seahouses Coldingham bay just over the border ( our favourite
We highly recommend staying here
One small issue was waste management the bins were full when we arrived one was emptied Monday so I had to take our trash elsewhere

Honeypot House is a lovely property. Spotlessly clean and well equipped. It is spacious with two comfortable sitting rooms one with access to a lovely garden. Perfect for large groups. A generous welcome pack in a very spacious well equipped kitchen. It is within easy reach of several dog friendly beaches. Tesco deliver to the property. We would happily return in the future.
