This beautifully restored cottage is in an envious position in historic and picturesque Warkworth village, overlooking the River Coquet. Honeybee Cottage sleeps 4 guests in 2 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms. Downstairs you will find a traditional lounge with an original inglenook fireplace, yet the kitchen/diner is contemporary with floor-to-ceiling windows and a relaxed living area. 1 dog is very welcome and free Wi-Fi is included. No children or infants can be accommodated.

Had a lovely stay at the Cottage, super location and a lovely warm and welcoming interior. The welcome packs for ourselves and the dog we're super and a lovely touch. We will definitely look to return.

Honeybee Cottage is perfection.
Cosy and so comfortable. Furnishings and decor so carefully arranged. Everything there for a relaxing stay
First visit and loved it so much we are booked for next year.

A beautiful cottage in an outstanding location. We simply had the fab time exploring the wonderful Northumberland coast whilst enjoying the tranquil village of Warkworth. This was a late booking and wow was it worth it! Thank you to everyone at Coquet cottages for making our stay so enjoyable - especially Maple , who had the best of times!

Having spent a full week in Honey Bee Cottage there was no negatives, Comfortable surroundings to relax in, kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils/plates/glasses you need for self catering, a nice place to prepare food and also to sit and relax. Views from Honey Bee consist of river Coquet at front and Warkworth castle at the rear. Within the village the pub and hotel food/drink was excellent and well priced.

Without a doubt… this has been the best property we have stayed in with Coquet Cottages. It has been sympathetically extended to successfully blend traditional and contemporary design. Absolutely everything has been thought of and it lacked nothing! After a lovely day walking with our dog it was a joy to come back to! If you’re wondering whether or not to book this… don’t hesitate…. But sshhh don’t tell everyone as then it will be to hard to book!

Perfect location for visiting the coastal areas as well as the countryside, very peaceful and quiet. We had a very relaxing weeks break, away from the crowds of the City. The cottage was spot on, very well equipped, very well furnished and a lovely position on the banks of the river. Good places to eat and drink in Warkworth and excellent fish in Craster, straight from the sea.
The Cottage Rental company were very professional to deal with, would highly recommend them to anyone.
Liked the way the Key Code system worked as well.

Honeybee cotage is a lovely property.It is decorated and finished to a really high standard and has lots of home comforts. The location is fabulous,in a peaceful setting right on the river cocquet with easy access to lovely walks, the castle and the village with it's choice of friendly pubs and restaurants. Its a easy 30 minutes walk down to Amble and about 15 minutes to reach Warkwoth beach which is fabulous. The welcome pack was lovely and a realy thoughful touch was leaving one for our dog aswel, she loved her treats. The kitchen/dining area is very welcoming and we enjoyed sitting and having a drink in there in the evening after lots of walking it was great to relax. The bedrooms were furnished beatifully and the bed was really comfy.We can't wait to return. Thank you!

We had a wonderful holiday at Honeybee Cottage.

The cottage is delightful and beautifully decorated throughout, and very homely.

The welcome hamper was very much appreciated, as was the additional clean as we were staying 10 nights that was a real bonus.

Our Labrador Lucy loved it.

Had a lovely time at this really nice cottage. It’s warm and comfortable in a very good setting.
Everything is tasteful and it was spotless.
The bees are quirky and found in lots of places. The garden front and back had been planted up well.

Our third stay and it was just as lovely as the first visit. The location is perfect as is the cottage. It’s typical of Coquet Cottages- beautifully decorated, well equipped and spotlessly clean. We’ve been staying with them for years, over twenty properties including quite a few return visits. Our children bring their families too! Can’t recommend them highly enough!

We spent a lovely week in this fabulous cottage 12 - 19 January and it was just perfect. It was cozy, warm and just a lovely stay. The one thing I have to comment on is the bedding....... OMG it was blissful I have never ever had a decent sleep like that, I could have stayed in bed all day. The location was perfect and to wake up in the morning with a cup of tea in bed looking out onto the river was blissful.

I would recommend this cottage to all of my friends and family and would have no hesitation in booking a week there again. It was just perfect in every way.

A break away in November was unusual for us but the quality of the cottage and the very comfortable furnishings made it a pleasure to spend time here. We found plenty to do in Warkworth and the surrounding area and there was everything we could wish for provided for us in this very lovely home, The welcome basket and the flowers were a real treat. We would certainly like to make a return visit.

As soon as we arrived at Honeybee we felt welcome, the heating was on and the lamps had been turned on. The cottage is so well equipped, we wanted for nothing, the kitchen especially, and everything being of top quality. The bedrooms are so comfortable and stylish with lovely bedding, towels and toiletries. The showers are power showers, everything you need is provided.

Within 1 km of the cottage you have what you need but nothing more, which made it the perfect location for us, quaint, quiet and like going back in time.

We had a wonderful stay and will be returning to Northumberland, most definitely in a Coquet Cottage.

Very well appointed throughout. Great quiet location with river views and just a few minutes walk into Warkworth.
15 minute walk to a fantastic beach - Lewis, our mini Schnauzer, loved it too.

Lovely welcome pack.
Coquet Cottages just cannot be praised enough - very supportive and attentive.

Absolutely faultless stay...

Everything you would want for a relaxing break was provided...and more besides. Excellent facilities, wonderful ambience and exemplary service from beginning to end.

We have already booked for next year and cannot imaging staying anywhere else in the future!!

Our only criticism to the area was a number of wild camper vans spending days at a time parked up over night taking advantage of the lovely quiet village avenues. We all pay our way so should everyone else.

Thank you for your review of your stay at Honeybee Cottage. I am thrilled to hear that you had a great holiday and found the cottage to be excellent. However, your feedback regarding "wild camper vans" is a bit puzzling to me. As a resident living just a couple of hundred yards from Honeybee Cottage, I am not aware of any camper vans parked overnight in the vicinity of the cottage or anywhere in the heart of the village. Honeybee Cottage is located on a quiet residential street, so it would be unusual for camper vans to park there. I have never known this to happen. However, there is a public parking area in front of the riverbank at the end of the road. As per your separate feedback, there was apparently a "wild camper parked up" on one night, with the engine running for a time during the evening. I assume it must have been located in that public parking area overnight. I did not notice this, but I understand it must have been annoying. It is certainly not the norm to have camper vans parked on the residential streets of the village. I do hope this will not deter you from returning and hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back soon. Thank you again for your lovely review.

Thank you very much for your review, I'm pleased you liked the riverside location and that you found the cottage to be very clean. I understand from separate feedback that you felt the bed you slept in wasn't to your comfort choice and you didn't like some of the pillows. Whilst the mattress is a top-quality pocket-sprung memory foam pillow-top mattress, it is of 'medium to firm' firmness, which is provided in order to hopefully suit everyone's tastes, ie. so it's not too soft and not too firm, so we weren't able to change this. However I understand that you didn't like the New Zealand wool pillows, but there were also 4 Hungarian goose-down pillows on the beds, provided in order that our guests have a choice (as stated on our website). To explain, the New Zealand wool pillows and duvets are very high-quality products especially chosen as they are warm in the cooler months and cooler in the warmer months as the natural wool filling regulates your body temperature, unlike synthetic pillows and duvets which don't. Unfortunately, you felt they were poor quality, possibly because they are different to what you are used to, and downgraded the Comfort and Condition scores for your review to 3 as a result. I understand you wouldn't return to Honeybee Cottage due to the bedding type, however, I have made a note in the event that you wish to re-book with us a different property, to check your preferences of duvet and pillows first, to ensure your chosen cottage meets your requirements better next time.

We had a lovely stay in beautiful Honeybee Cottage, which enjoys a quiet location overlooking the River Coquet. With outdoor seating front and rear you can choose to follow the sun or not.
The cottage is well appointed, very clean and comfortable.
We loved the peace whilst also being within walking distance of the beach and the facilities of the village itself. After a day out exploring the castles and coastline it was lovely to relax with tea and cake at our home from home before heading into the village for a walk by the river and to one of the excellent pubs.
We used the dog sitting service so we could go to Alnwick one day, and Miles was great with our dog from the outset giving us peace of mind to enjoy our day.
Thankyou all - we will definitely return!

An amazing property the moment you opened the door honeybee cottage as the wow factor, and smells amazing . Very well equipped the owners have thought of everything beautifully decorated throughout. Loved the location very quiet and peaceful, parking was very easy outside the cottage, one of the best holiday cottages we have stayed in rebook to stay in December , thank you

Everything about this cottage says quality. We loved the kitchen diner extension and the little courtyard is a real sun trap. Honeybee would be our first choice place to stay the next time we visit Warkworth.
