Superb in every respect! Could not find any fault - we loved everything about the apartment and the staff were so helpful!

This excellent apartment in Amble provided a wonderful base for our holiday in Northumberland. The owner and staff were so helpful and the apartment was the best equipped we've ever stayed in. We will be back!

Excellent location, owner and staff lovely, bedding and beds fantastic , only downside lift had broken and we were on the top floor but the owner had tried to get it mended and it WAS the weekend.

We loved our stay

Two of us loved the harbour view, one loved the more distant dunes and
Hot tub is brilliant.
Calm environment.

Had an excellent week at Hemingways. A modern apartment in a fairly new building. Spacious apartment with amazing views and very close to centre of Amble, so everything was within walking distance.
Had an EV charger that actually worked!
The fact that it is part of the Amble Bunkhouse development means that it has professional staff on hand who were both helpful and friendly - a definite plus!

The apartment sits well on the 2nd. and 3rd. floors of a modern building. The location, overlooking the marina, is extremely handy for all that Amble centre has to offer. The building is very new and modern. Hemingways is very well designed, very nicely furnished and extremely comfortable. It could not be faulted in any way. For once, I received no complaints from the boss!

We have stayed in Amble in several Coquet Cottages, all of which have been wonderful in their own way. We like to ring the changes. Hemingways is certainly up there with the best. We had not stayed by the marina before and it is a lovely location for strolling to the amenities as well as providing a lovely outlook from every viewpoint in the apartment. We particularly enjoyed wallowing in the hot tub watching the sun set after a day out walking in the beautiful Northumberland countryside.
The kitchen is especially well kitted out, with quality appliances & crockery, cutlery etc., although with so many fantastic places to eat locally, we did not really use it apart from the odd breakfast. It’s the only place I’ve stayed who supplied gin balloon glasses! Picky I know, but it makes a difference.
Having 2 fridges was very useful, we dedicated one for drinks. Our only disappointment was the limited freezer space, there are only the 2 small ice compartments, but no ice tray? ‍♀️ We love to stock up at the Amble Sunday market on fish & local produce to take home with us, so more space for freezing the fish would be useful.
There is plenty of room inside the apartment and the bedroom sizes are very generous. It is very much a home from home. The showers were always hot and the towels were lovely & fluffy. The lighting is great in the bathrooms too. Good mix of mirrors, important to us ladies and very good storage for all the “stuff” you need to pack on a trip in the UK. Lots of hangers in the wardrobes
The welcome basket was very generous, the best we have had and we thoroughly enjoyed every morsel over the course of the week.
I cannot imagine anyone would not love their stay in this fabulous property, we highly recommend it.

The apartment and views were stunning. We felt at home straight away. The apartment has lovely furnishings, beautiful interior design and comfy beds. Hot tub was great, used it every day. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was easy. Close to harbour, shops and good restaurants. We had everything we needed in a perfect location.

We cant express how amazing the Hemingway's was. We all loved the location and the layout was perfect. Walking distance to everything you could ever need! The views were amazing, watching the sunset over Walkworth castle, the tides coming and going and all the sea birds is hard to describe! Tony and the staff were super helpful and always friendly. We used the hottub everyday with ocean views off the balcony which is covered to enjoy in any weather! Highly recommend!

Fantastic apartment!
Spotlessly clean.
Top quality furnishings, kitchen appliances and bedding.
Very spacious, light and airy.
Brilliant hot tub.
Lovely to sit on the balcony with a coffee.
The two main bedrooms are huge.
Netflix and I played are included.
Excellent welcome pack, butter, milk, coffee, jam, bread, scones and cakes plus red and white wine!!
Lovely and helpful staff.
A stone's throw from restaurants and shops.

Lovely clean apartment. Can’t fault it in anyway, and I am very fussy!
Well equipped kitchen, just needs a milk jug, that’s all.
Great hot tub on balcony.

This is an exceptional property with a very welcoming host Tony. The welcome pack was great, the kitchen was very well equipped, the beds were excellent, with lovely bed linen. The whole place was very stylishly furnished, with all the little extra bits that makes this a luxury stay, which is a rarity when you have a dog. Fabulous stay.

We couldn't recommend Hemmingways any more. The apartment was immaculate, spotlessly clean, fully equipped and had the comfiest beds. Tony, Lisa and other staff were excellent and went above and beyond - even down to leaving a welcome gift for our toddler. They have thought of everything and are in the process of supplying an EV charger (although there are 6 within a short walk of the apartments) We thoroughly enjoyed the apartment and it is a great base to explore Amble and further afield.

We travelled up to Hemingways on Friday afternoon for a long weekend and were met at the property by Tony and we were delighted with the accommodation. Fresh, spacious, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable, with superb views over the marina Hemingways was an excellent base for our weekend break.

We will certainly look to make a return visit to Hemingways.

Thanks to Tony and the team for a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

This is one of the most well presented, spacious, clean holiday properties we’ve come across. Great location for exploring the Northumberland coast and a very good selection of Restaurants.
Staff are friendly and available to ensure Your stay is perfect.
Great views of the harbour and estuary.

We spent a week at Hemingway’s for our first holiday in the area. The customer service prior to and during our holiday was really good as were the welcoming touches. Hemingways is a beautiful apartment with everything you need for a wonderful break.

Hemingways was everything we hoped for and more. The location is perfect, the views were amazing. The apartment is spacious, immaculate, modern and very comfortable.
The hot tub was very well maintained and enjoyed by us all. We couldn’t have asked for anywhere better and will hopefully be back.

We have never stayed anywhere as lovely. Immaculate accommodation, spotless with lovely views over the marina watching the local fishermen return, wildlife and sunsets. Just to finish the experience, the owner and staff were first class and the inventory of equipment in the accommodation is all top of the range. Gorgeous hamper on arrival with scones, jammy flapjack, wine, jam, crusty loaf, fresh coffee, butter, milk and even a lemon for the G&T!
Amble itself is a lovely fishing town with lovely bars and restaurants just a few 100yds away and with gorgeous walks / beaches on your doorstep.
Britain can be a little mixed weather wise but if you’re in accommodation like this it covers all the bases - on a poor weather day just relax in the hot tub and admire the views. In summary, genuinely cant fault it (and I would say we can be a little picky at times!).
Would love to get back soon, just fab!!
