Hassock House is located in the peaceful little hamlet of Stamford, just 2 miles from the stunning beaches and excellent pubs and restaurants at Newton by the Sea and Embleton. You are just far away enough to enjoy the peaceful, picturesque countryside, but have everything you could need a few minutes away. Hassock House sleeps up to 8 guests in 4 bedrooms: 2 king-size bedrooms, a twin room with 2 full-size single beds, and a twin room with 2 twin single beds that can be converted to a super-king bed on request. There are two en-suite shower rooms, one family bathroom, and an additional ground-floor WC. Very large lawned garden. Off-street private parking for 2 cars. Welcomes up to 2 dogs. Free Wi-Fi and Digital Guidebook..

Wonderful cottage that sleeps 8 easily. The property is beautifully furnished with a large open garden for relaxing in with a few beers on a summers evening.

The lady who owns the cottage was very helpful and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

Had everything we needed, well equipped ‘ workable kitchen. With family we need 2 lounges so this was perfect (wish agents would put this in their criteria). Large quiet bedrooms with very good bathrooms. Quite central to all the beaches we visited with the 3 dogs & we felt quite at home ☺️.

We had a fantastic 5 night stay at Hassock House. The house is big enough that a large family still has space to be alone yet spaces large enough for all to be together. We also spent a lot of time out in the beautiful garden thanks to the hot sunny weather we were lucky to have. Linsey the owner is a helpful contact at the end of a phone should you need her.
We would definitely return again!

Hassock House was a very comfortable stay. Kitchen was well equipped and we easily managed several meal preps while we were staying with all the equipment we could ask for. There was plenty of storage. All the rooms and bathroom were lovely with a lux feel.
The garden was beautiful and made for a very pleasant sit outside.
The cottage was easy to get too and well situated with short drives to beaches.
There are walks from the house for the dogs but can be muddy depending on the weather so need to allow for this with the wellies (it was very wet during our stay).
Eight people would not be cramped in this property.
We easily managed to park 3 cars on the designated parking area.

Hassock house is a lovely property, both inside and out. It is beautifully decorated, very spacious and comfortable, especially the beds, with everything you need for a relaxing week away. The garden is beautiful with plenty of seating options, and the visiting rabbits were very entertaining.

Could not rate Hassock House more highly it was:

-spacious
-immaculate
-beautifully and tastefully decorated
-incrediby well-equipped! The kitchen had everything you'd possibly need and more!
- the beds were all gloriously comfortable
- the garden was idyllic and the children loved the playhouse
- superb location! So local for Alnwick and the beach!

We were travelling with my mother in law, my husband, our three children (9,7,5) and our little dog Cotton

It was the best base for a perfect week away.

Hassock House provides top notch accommodation with some really nice touches. It has the feel of luxury and comfort and can accommodate a large family or party of 8 very easily. It's location is very good - short walk from Rennington and its pub and 2 miles to Embleton Bay for beach walks. The lovely Northumberland coastline is in easy reach and the house and garden a really lovely place to return to at the end of each day. Thankyou - we enjoyed our stay and felt thoroughly spoiled.

Another fantastic Christmas stay at hassock house. We also stayed here in 2022. Hence returning in 2023, because it was just everything we needed, for our family to have another fabulous Christmas together. The house is a fabulous home in a perfect location for walks and a trip in to alnwick. The owners are friendly and approachable. Always seding a personalised welone message. Would definitely return.

This is the third time my family has stayed at Hassock House and the standard was even higher on this occasion since the bathrooms, which were already great, have been completely updated. This is a very spacious property with lots of room for the use of an extended family. Spotlessly clean and containing all of the features a family could want. The generous seasonal welcome hamper was a particular delight. Linsey, the owner, is an excellent communicator and will contact if there is the possibility of early access to the property. She also responds immediately if there are any queries. This is a highly recommended property.

This is a beautiful property, well equipped warm, and comfortable. It was ideal for our extended family including a toddler and a teenager as well as parents and grandparents. Lots of space for everyone. The owner went out of her way to help us resolve an issue with the electric car charger.

The wonderful Hassock House was perfect for a family get together and birthday celebration. Huge amounts of space, a wonderful garden and close to lots of great places to visit. Everything is super comfortable and so well equipped - we had everything we could possibly need! Would highly recommend and would love to revisit.

Just one tea-towel and no washing up liquid slightly detracted but no great hindrance. Lovely property that was a real treat to come back to every day. The grand-children loved the garden and all the space around the house.
Great location for the beaches and all the castles and we would definitely consider returning if we plan to be in the area again in the near future. Rennington pub food really good, loads of it but pub itself is poor. If you do go, order half portions. If we had not booked and were really hungry with little ones needing their tea, we would have turned around and walked out as the pub smelled damp and musty and the carpet was decidedly sticky!
