Grace Cottage is situated in the heart of Bamburgh Village close to the brilliant Grace Darling Museum. Once part of the magnificent West House, Grace Cottage is now a wing of the house which overlooks pretty lawns and onto Holy Island. Wood-burning stove, pet-free, sleeps 4 with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Free Wi-Fi.

Cottage beautifully decorated, quirky but very tasteful. Everything there you’d need. Very good welcome pack, fresh flowers a lovely touch
Beds comfortable with lovely bed linen. The white company toiletries available
Very peaceful and quiet environment
Absolutely nothing to fault for us 10/10

We love Grace Cottage. Round the corner from the Main Street and near the beach and golf course. Beautifully presented with White Company linen and toiletries. Flowers and arrival basket including wine. Lovely touch. Would stay again.

The cottage is in a beautiful location and part of a lovely Georgian property but was for sale and feel this reflected in the overall condition as felt neglected. The owner was very helpful when we messaged as the heating hadn’t been turned on for us and was fairly cold weather all week. The cottage was comfortable but just not what we expected.
The actual entrance to the cottage needs attention as loose paving slabs which were a concern as we had a disabled son with us.
This didn’t detract from a lovely holiday but felt not up to usual very high standards of Coquet cottages as we have stayed with them many times over many years.
The cottage had a very extensive welcome basket which was really appreciated.

Windows in need of replacement. En-suite shower room very dark and water leaked under door. Heating not tested, but do not know how effective it is - would not stay here during winter months. Condensation on most windows.

As for the heating system, we understand your concern, although you mentioned that you did not use it during your stay. Grace Cottage is located in an older building that can sometimes be prone to condensation, which doesn't necessarily indicate any issues with the heating system. There are also extractor fans in both bathrooms as well as the kitchen to help combat condensation you may find in this older building. We value all feedback as it helps us improve our services and ensure a comfortable stay for all our guests.

Lovely little place right on the edge of the village. Cottage Spotlessly clean (best housekeeping I have ever seen in a holiday let!) with Well appointed kitchen & very comfortable beds. Not a lot of storage space in the bedrooms, we needed to use both bedroom cupboards, but we do tend to overpack. Lovely White Stuff toiletries and lots of fluffy towels.

We had a wonderful stay. It was a beautiful cottage in a great location. The welcome pack and the little extras like the slippers and the White Company toiletries were so well received and a great addition. We stayed for 10 nights which was perfect, a week is never quite enough and sometimes 14 days can be too much. The owner contacted us during the week and arranged for a clean and the bedding to be changed which was also appreciated. We loved this cottage, one of the best we have stayed in. We would have re-booked but it doesn't look like it has availability for next year but that might be to do with it being up for sale. It is a fabulous holiday home and it will make someone very happy. Thank you for a great stay.

Grâce cottage exceeded our expectations. The accommodation was real quality and we loved getting back to it after wonderful days walking in beautiful locations. We didn’t want to leave. The welcome pack was very thoughtful and much appreciated. Recharged and ready to go after a fabulous stay

Grace Cottage is a great base from which to explore the area. The welcome pack is exceptionally generous, with all sorts of enjoyable treats and the Cottage was spotlessly clean. However, the property is showing signs of age and the fabric is likely to deteriorate further if not attended to. This seems unlikely as the property is advertised for sale. Small points, but the broken concrete at the Front Door could become a trip hazard and the Summer House, which had to be opened up for us, was not clean and felt a little neglected. The lawn leading to the Summer House may be part of a rewilding experiment, but was not attractive.
The Owners, however, were very responsive to our two questions during our stay and the above points, in no way, detracted from the enjoyment of our holiday.

He also mentioned that the summer house is usually locked up and that this was unlocked at your request therefore he was unable to give this a spruce up during your stay. Had a lovely 4 day break here. Extremely comfortable and well equipped cottage with quality linens. Great location, easy walk to local restaurants. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

The location of the property for Bamburgh and access to surrounding areas are fantastic. There were some fantastic restaurants on the doorstep.It's was very well equipped with everything you need for your stay. Lovely cosy cottage, beds very comfortable. Only negative is that the sofas were extremely uncomfortable and need of replacement.

We had a wonderful stay in charming Grace cottage, very close to the centre of Bamburgh.
The atmosphere was sparking as it was light up weekend on the village green with Christmas tree switch on on Saturday evening. Lovely places to eat and walk and fascinating church and castle to visit.
Grace cottage was well appointed with quality linen and delicious welcome basket! Easy parking outside.

Cottage was cosy and in a good location however condensation and black mould on window frames was not a good look. Settees in lounge we’re really sagging and not particularly comfortable

Our 2nd time staying at the cottage. Very enjoyable and good value. Great location with parking.
The only annoyance was a neighbours security light which went on and off constantly through the night lighting the bedroom up like a light house. This disturbed our sleep during our stay, other than that v nice.

Our 4th annual trip to beautiful Grace Cottage. It honestly feels like a perfect second home.

Grace Cottage is a self contained annexe to a very large house about five minutes walk from the centre of Bamburgh. The house has spacious grounds and views over fields towards the sea. Plenty of parking space and a large garden to enjoy. Ideal for a couple but space enough for four. Two bathrooms which is a great bonus. A well appointed dining kitchen and a comfortable lounge area. A very generous welcome pack was provided - much appreciated.
Overall, highly recommended.
