A beautifully restored, luxurious boutique Georgian townhouse in the heart of the Conservation area of Alnwick. Earl's Cottage is romantic for two or spacious and comfortable for up to four guests. With a wood-burning stove and huge Georgian sash windows, this cottage is the epitome of a classically restored period property with all the home comforts and modern technology. Enjoy exploring the history of Alnwick on foot or being a short driving distance to the coast or nearby villages. 2 well-behaved dogs are welcome. Free Wi-Fi. Good range of restaurants, shops, and pubs an easy walk, as well as Alnwick Castle, Garden, and the famous Barter Books.

Good centrally located Georgian house with all the amenities of Alnwick to hand.

Clean and comfortable accommodation. Fresh flowers and free tickets to Alnwick gardens a nice touch. We really enjoyed our week here. Easy parking and good directions to other places to visit in the area.

We have stayed at Earls several times over the past decade. It has been our little bolt hole where our son has enjoyed fabulous beaches, and we have felt very relaxed there. The recent touches such as seating in the small courtyard, and the Alnwick Gardens passes, along with the added Alexa and TV upgrades (for inevitable wet days) are great, and add to the fabulous feel of the property.

This cottage is ideally located, both for Alnwick and the wider area. Very well furnished and decorated with large bedrooms. Well equipped and Victoria, the host, was very helpful when we encountered a very minor problem with the heating. We would recommend this cottage.

We loved our stay at this cottage. Comfortable beds, quiet for sleeping and great shutters to block light in the summer. Comfy beds, no chairs with high backs though and some equipment in kitchen needs updating ie saucepans.
Great stay though and superb location. Overall lovely house with lots of space.

Have visited this property 3 times over the last 7years approximately. Ther has been no major changes apart from both bedrooms now have large comfortable beds. Unfortunately the duvet was too heavy for this time of the year resulting in having sweaty nights.
Some new kitchen equipment was welcome and there were extra useful touches particularly for the dog, much surprised much appreciated. Overall an excellent place which was very clean.

The cottage has everything you need & more. Very clean & a great first impression.
A lovely welcome pack was waiting for us & butter & milk in the fridge

This was our third visit to Earl’s Cottage & certainly won’t be our last. The house is ideally situated for getting around Alnwick & with the added bonus of a reserved private parking space. It’s only 10-15 minutes drive to the coast which is ideal for the beach walks which our two little dogs enjoy. The owners have made it comfortable & inviting with everything needed for an enjoyable stay. There is a lovely welcome hamper with fresh local produce, as well as a treats hamper for the dogs, which they love.
We will definitely be back to stay again, & highly recommend it to everyone looking to stay in Alnwick.

Earl’s Cottage is a wonderful cottage in Alnwick which we have stayed in three times now.
The cottage is warm, welcoming and well equipped,, plus the bonus of a designated parking space is great.
The welcome hampers are perfect, full of local goodies and the doggie one is a lovely touch ( our dog Freddie really appreciated it)
Earl’s cottage is an excellent place to base yourself to visit the many walks, beaches and attractions of the North East.
Friendly people, lots to see and do, many great pubs and restaurants, what more could you want.
We will definitely be back

Really enjoyed our week in Alnwick which was a great base for our first holiday in Northumberland. Earls Cottage is a lovely old house just a short work from the centre of Alnwick but in a quiet location. It’s been beautifully renovated and has all mod cons, but retains the charm of the original building.

Lovely home from home so easy to access Alnwick and all it's attractions walking from the door.Nice touch with the passes to Alnwick gardens- a fave of ours so thank you.Comfortable beds and cosy spaces.Our girls loved their grand bedroom with a telly and nice gifts in the welcome hamper thank you.

We stayed at Earl’s Cottage in Alnwick and from the moment we booked to the holiday itself we were not let down. The cottage guidebook pre visit did just the trick so we knew what to expect. On arrival the welcome hamper and gifts for the boys were a special touch. Earl’s cottage itself was just brilliant like a home from home to allow us to explore this brilliant part of the world steeped in history.

The property was very clean & had everything we needed for a very pleasant stay & the welcome hamper was much appreciated.. The location was excellent - a 5 minute walk into the centre.
The designated parking space was a bonus!
The passes into Alnwick Gardens were a nice touch - we used them a couple of times.
We can’t wait to stay in this property again & would definitely recommend it
