Alnmouth Penthouse sleeps up to 6 guests in 3 bedrooms. The first floor consists of an open plan living room/ kitchen/ dining area, family bathroom, twin/super-king bedroom, and a snug room. On the second floor, you will find a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room and a king-size bedroom with a full en-suite bathroom.

This coastal apartment has a south-facing, furnished terrace garden. Alnmouth Penthouse is pet-free and has free Wi-Fi as standard. Due to the number of stairs inside the property, and the steps outside leading down from the terrace, the apartment is not suitable for young children under 5 years old.

We had a week away with our three grandchildren, what a lovely holiday & fabulous property.
The room sizes were very generous, very often clever image taking can make a property look larger than life, the penthouse was not one of those.
We took advantage of the well equipped kitchen, making cooking in a pleasure.
The location was perfect, just steps to the estuary and amazing beach.
Parking spaces were always available even though it was peak season in the middle of August.
We will definitely be looking at booking with Coquet Cottages again, after enjoying the high standards within this house.

The Penthouse is exactly as it looks in the online guide. Well appointed and maintained with high quality fittings and furniture. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. It is bright and airy, quiet and peaceful with views across the river estuary. The welcome basket was generously filled with treats and basics, there was even a quick call from the housekeeper to make sure all was well. This was one of the best places we have stayed.

Beautiful apartment in a wonderful location. It was beautifully furnished, extremely comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. Being about 2 minutes walk to the beach, where you can walk for miles, made it the perfect place for us. The Alnmouth area has some great places to eat/drink and some lovely little shops.

The apartment was extra special, lovely interiors, very welcoming and a lovely kitchen to cook in. Thanks to the owners, our stay made my retirement/new year celebration so special.

Very impressed with Coquet Cottages from the outset. Their level of service and attention to detailed property information is outstanding. Wouldn't hesitate to book with them again.
Alnmouth Penthouse was warm, spacious and very well equipped for our weekend stay. Its location in the village is perfect just a quick hop to the beach, the coastal path and all the facilities this amazing village offers. We needn't have been concerned about finding parking for our three cars either, there was plenty both on the street outside or along the sea front. With estuary views from most of the windows what's not to love about the property !
A visit to The Tree House restaurant, Alnwick Garden, was a treat ,as were the crab sandwiches at The Sun Inn (in the village) where the beer, ambience and welcoming staff were brilliant. We took advantage of the hourly bus that runs along the coast which meant lunchtime drinks in Amble and Warkworth didn't involve drawing straws for a designated driver !!!!.
Its fair to say we all fell in love with Alnmouth and will definitely be back !

This property is an excellent base to explore Northumberland. It is very well equipped and looks just like the photos online. We had a wonderful stay here.

the premises were clean but the preparation for our visit was not good.

The upstairs sink plug would not let the water keep in the sink had to keep refilling every five minutes.
One bathroom had a side door where all the tools were kept. Someone had been using tools and were left over the
floor in the bathroom. No check had been made before we arrived.
The goody bag on arrival was not as good as many we have had.
The car was splattered every morning by seagulls so we had to clean every morning.
This could be an excellent stay if the preparation was better.
A redecoration in some areas needed.

Thank you for your review and for your feedback, and we're sorry that you arrived to some of the tools left out from preparing the property during the changeover period. This feedback has been passed onto the property manager for future reference. We're sorry to hear the seagulls were a bit of a nuisance. There aren't actually many seagulls in Alnmouth, but given that the property is so close to the coastline, this can be one of the 'perils' of being so close to the sea! Thank you for your honesty and I hope you would consider us for a return trip to Northumberland.
