Just had a week at Tern Cottage. Really lovely, well equipped and beautifully decorated and furnished. The kitchen diner is a great light space to chill and play games. Utility room and side door was brilliant if you have dogs to keep them away from carpeted areas. Beds and bedding really comfortable, toiletries smelt lovely. Lots of touches. Great location too for beaches and walks and pubs. Highly recommend.
Such a lovely house! Perfect for two adults, two children and a dog. Garden is fully enclosed so no issues leaving the door open for the dog. Almost direct beach access. House was spotless and the hamper was ace!
Nice comfy clean house that worked well for our family group. It's compact - bedrooms are quite small - but it's comfortable and everything from linen and towels to kitchen equipment feels very new. The house was nice and clean on arrival and the welcome baskets were a nice touch. Take care outside on the paving - it's not entirely flat and I stumbled a couple of times.
Always love it here! The place is beautiful, always get a lovely welcome from the chickens too!! The welcome hamper is such a lovely addition, and can’t recommend the village shop enough, great pasties! I missed my fluffy robe this year, I rebooked without reading the website saying it was on request now so I definately won’t forget next year as we’ll definitely be coming again. Thanks to Alan and Christine, lovely people xxx
What a wonderful holiday home that met all of our needs! A stunning property in a superb location that was spotlessly clean and had everything you could ever think of. Our hosts were very informative and helpful and we were able to have a superb week. We will definitely be back!
Unbeatable location, immaculate property, very well equipped, attentive owners. We loved our week here.
Beautiful house in a great location for the beach. Coastal paths to low Newton and Seahouses and the Landing cafe and restaurant on the doorstep. The owner was really helpful before and during the stay. We would thoroughly recommend it.
Having stayed in Lane End x 3 Honeybee Cottage & Sunny Cottage, I’d always looked through the gates of Emberside, imagine my delight when I saw this property had now been taken on by Coquet Cottage’s !! Everything in this property surpassed expectations, plus house & gardens were huge ! Took my daughter & her family with us for their first visit to Northumberland & they also fell in love with everything.
The Welcome pack provided by the hosts was excellent with local treats and an Earl Grey cake. There was also attention to detail in the decor and level of comfort provided, books, guide books, and prints with details of history of Grey Hens. We felt welcome immediately and were contacted by the hosts checking all was well and providing a contact number should we need it. The cottage was clean with a very comfortable king size bed, and an en-suite wuty walk in shower, large bath and good quality toiletries. The cottage is in a lovely location, surrounded by beautiful gardens which can be used d...more
Nightfold is a perfect base for exploring Northumberland. It is well equipped and very comfortable. Great parking. The cleanest shower and bathroom I have ever seen in a a self catering property. Very well maintained. It also had a summer weight quilt on the bed, much appreciated.
The accommodation was extremely clean and well equipped. The location was excellent both for walking into Amble and exploring Northumberland by car.
We recently spent a week at Quay West . This was our first visit to the area and booking with Coquet Cottages. We couldn't have been more thrilled with our experience. The apartment and location with views across the marina were outstanding. All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful with an amazing welcome hamper to greet us on our arrival. A very generous gesture! We shall definitely be coming back and shall look forward to looking at other properties within the area also.
Fabulous place, extremely clean and very comfortable. We loved staying at the Gin Gan. Would highly recommend
5* accommodation in a 5* location the apartment was exceptional. Everything had been thought of. The welcome hamper was amazing everything you needed and treats as well. The guide book app was full of everything you needed to know about the property and surrounding areas to visit from bike hire to restaurant recommendations. The property was very secure easy to access via stairs and a lift. Plenty of space for private parking which was laid out well. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone who is looking to stay in the heart of the Town with access to pubs, restaurants and attrac...more
A wonderful weekend with besties and staying in a gorgeous apartment in a lovely location. Will definitely be back .Thankyou
Our stay at Oyster cottage was amazing. The cottage had everything we could possibly want and need, from a wonderful welcome hamper to beautifully decorated rooms and all the high quality services you could need for a holiday. The owners were excellent dropping off an additional luxury toiletries. Everything about the property was perfect and felt special. Location wise it could not be better being within a good distance from Edinburgh in the North, Newcastle to the South and Kielder forest to the west. There is so much to do within that area you are spoilt for choice. A holiday we will never ...more
The welcome hamper set the tone for high quality in everything. We especially appreciated the sunroom with access to the delightful patio. The location was very peaceful, and views were amazing.Comfortable beds and tasteful furnishings added to the enjoyment of the holiday.
Hassock House was well suited for our family holiday. It was spacious and very well equipped. The only thing which was not available was a potato masher, but we improvised. There was a lovely welcome tray with lots of goodies and milk, orange juice and butter in the fridge - all very thoughtful. The garden, which had a play area, was a great space for our grandson to enjoy and explore. Communication with the owner and Coquet Cottages was quick and easy.
Great property, very well equipped. Very comfortable house beautifully refurbished and just as described.
Superb stay. Flat was spacious, modern, clean and equipped with everything we needed. It was cosy, a wonderful place to retire to in the evening after a day out. And the central location was a great advantage.
We had a lovely time. Great place and location. We mad the most of going to the pub as well which was only 20meters away and did good beer and food.
What a splendid retreat from the hustle and bustle. Very attentive and welcoming, but not intrusive hosts, Alan and Christine have built a delightful cottage for two (a slightly larger one across the courtyard sleeps more people). The cottage is very well provisioned, from the welcome pack, to the living room and bedroom. The grounds are refreshing and beautifully maintained by Doug (with a bit of help from Alan and the chickens). All in all one of the most relaxing places we’ve stayed in for a long time. What sets this apart as well is thankfully that no dogs or other pets are permitted. It i...more
We loved our stay at Alba Cottage, very comfortable with everything we needed! The location and view were amazing, something we would never tire of, the changing sea, sun sets, sparrows, swallows, fabulous! We enjoyed a busy week, great walks, cycling and even a cold water swim. Amble was lovely, very friendly, super places to eat especially Jasper’s
An absolutely charming cottage, in a quiet rural area, The Millstone was perfect in every way, decorated & equipped to a really high standard, and so central for touring around Northumberland. We will definitely be staying again. I highly recommend.
Magdalene house was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated, very comfortable furnished and perfectly situated for walking to restaurants, bars, the village store and gift shops, also very close to the river with only a 15 minute walk to the beach. We enjoyed an exceptional stay there and will be going back.
This was our second visit to the Arch Everything about our stay was as wonderful as last time. The quiet off road location, with easy access to the A1 and walking along the coast. The tasteful decor, the coziness, the comfort, the beautiful courtyard , the gold mine of a parking spaces and the delicious hamper. The hosts, Lucy and Simon, were brilliant and always so helpful with any queries as were the staff at Coquet. Would totally recommend.
Our third stay here, and we’ve already booked again for next year. As it stands, we cannot imagine staying anywhere else, as Driftwood will take some beating. The property is maintained to an incredibly high standard, with no sign of wear and tear between visits. The location overlooking the sea and a short stroll to Amble centre is perfect.
Our stay at Sunflower House was great. The house its self is gorgeous, everything we needed for our family and in a perfect location. We would definitely like to stay here again when we come to Alnwick
Apple Tree barn is welcoming, comfortable & located just outside Alnwick, & is within easy reach of the coast & beaches. The barn has everything needed, being spacious, well equipped & has a large enclosed garden & a summer house in which to enjoy a glass of wine whilst watching the sunset. The welcome hamper was really appreciated, as well as the lovely roses. We enjoyed a super week’s holiday with our two Border Terriers & will certainly be returning again.
First class cottage in a lovely area of Northumberland. Top of the range furnishings throughout. Excellent welcome pack - best we've ever had. By a road but still peaceful. Warkworth and the coast just a couple of miles down the road.
We had a great time with Victoria Cottage at the heart of this. Warkworth is a wonderful place. The location, attention to detail and overall attention to detail is appreciated.
Wonderful location for exploring Northumberland. Quiet village feel with a lovely bakery and lots to do locally. Accommodation perfect - hot tub a real winner and comfy sofa and furnishings throughout. One of the best stocked kitchens I’ve ever stayed at with everything you need to cook from scratch. Lovely welcome hamper and friendly hosts. We’ll certainly be back!
Fern House proved to be an ideal base for our stay in Northumberland. It was well equiped, very clean and nicely decorated. All the beds were very comfortable with decent pillows. The location is good for exploring Northumberland, close to Amble and Alnwick. My 6 year old Granddaughter really enjoyed watching films in the cinema room. Overall we had a very pleasant visit.
A beautiful cottage in a great location, well equipped and very clean. Owners veey helpful. Great position for exploring the area. Would recommend.
A repeat visit for us (grandparents, daughter, granddaughter and dog) to this lovely property peacefully situated in the village of Acklington but close to Warkworth, Amble and a choice of beaches. The owner, Mike, is very helpful and, following his recommendations, we enjoyed some great exploring especially to the NT property of Cragside. Seal spotting off Coquet Island was another highlight. We love Northumberland and Cowslip Barn!
We had such a fab 4 night stay in this beautiful apartment, it was spotlessly clean with lots of extra special touches
A beautiful cottage, well appointed and welcoming!! Perfectly located to explore Northumberland and its attractions.
This was our 3rd visit to sea Gem and probably will not be the last . Beautiful house in a great location , only a short walk to the centre of Amble and harbour. We were greeted with a very generous hamper of goodies plus milk and butter in the fridge . Quality toiletries and everything you could need for a grea5 stay .
Peony cottage was delightful. Beautifully arranged with everything that we needed for a comfortable stay. It was spotlessly clean. The setting was delightful and our children enjoyed meeting all of the animals. Our hosts were friendly and helpful and we felt very well looked after.
Fantastic welcome and insight into the area from Jeff and Carol. Thoughtful welcome hamper which was much appreciated. Great sleep on a very comfortable bed!
We had a wonderful fortnight at Hemingway's in Amble. The apartment is a very special property. It feels like a house, over two floors, but its elevated location provides great views over the marina towards Warkworth, with the castle prominent. The balcony was a particularly lovely place to sit out and enjoy evening sunshine. It was a well-equipped holiday property, especially in the kitchen (the only criticism is that 6 mugs for 6 people felt a little sparse). The furnishings were comfortable and accommodated 6 adults well. The bedrooms and bathrooms were all top notch - very comfortable beds...more
Alnmill is a delightful cottage, with everything we could possibly need. It was spotless and welcoming. The indoor space is ideal for two and we enjoyed the sunny sitting areas outside. Lesbury is a great location for local walks eg to Alnmouth and the coast path. It's also a good base for exploring further, by road or public transport. A great discovery!
We stayed in another apartment in Coble Quay a few years ago and we were really looking forward to coming back. Seafarer was just as good as we expected but with the added bonus of really comfortable furniture. This is really important because I have a serious spinal injury and we always try to select accommodation based on how comfortable the seats look. We aren’t always successful as you can only go by the images provided but we hit the jackpot this time. The seats facing the fabulous view of the marina were great and the bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable too. The shower in the ...more
One of the best houses we’ve stayed in in Northumberland - beautifully decorated and comfortable, a few steps to the beach and the shops and restaurants in Alnmouth. We simply couldn’t fault it if we tried. Thank you - I hope we’ll be back!
This was the perfect location from which to explore Northumberland, not only that the small town of Warkworth was delightful and the house was a minute away from the river. Everything about the house was tasteful and luxurious which made the holiday so special. The beds and the sofas were comfortable which are so important! We would highly recommend Rebecca House.
Walk into this apartment and prepare to be blown away by the jaw dropping views of Amble Harbour from floor to ceiling windows. The decor is delightful, fittings first class, beds comfy and the attention to detail is second to none. A group of 5 adults and 3 children over 3 generations and we all loved it. So relaxing and so much space
Our stay at Honeybee cottage was fabulous. The cottage is renovated to the highest standards with every home comfort you could think of. We received a lovely hamper on arrival containing luxury locally made produce. Even our dogs received their own hamper with doggie treats and necessities. The location is beautiful, overlooking the river. We enjoyed watching the herons fishing. Croquet Cottages were fantastic, they made sure we had everything we needed and were friendly and helpful throughout.
Our second stay at The Penthouse in Alnmouth and already looking forward to the next one! Beautifully and tastefully furnished - a luxurious home-from-home in an exceptional location overlooking the estuary and just 1 minute to the beach and 2 minutes to the local shops! We received a call from Mike to property manager on our second day, checking that everything was in order, which is a lovely touch. Greeted with a very tasty welcome hamper with local treats and fresh produce - the bun-scoffers were very happy! Thank you for sharing your home with us!
Our family (including Willow - our 3 year old doodle!) thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at the’Oyster Catcher’ which is ideally positioned to make a great holiday in Northumberland. Firstly, great credit and recognition to the owner for making this such a wonderful place to stay and for presenting with us with a stylish, spacious and well equipped property. Everything was clean, tidy and attention given to all the necessary details which meant we wanted for nothing. Our welcome gifts were also greatly appreciated to help set up our stay. Thanks also to the team at Coquet Cottages for all the...more
Very comfortable upside down house in lovely village with great pub and village shop.Good parking, pleasant gardens, barbecue available. No shortage of cutlery, pales glasses etc. Very good array of kitchen utensils etc.
A really lovely apartment, great view over the marina where we were lucky enough to enjoy a couple of sunsets. Quiet, but 2 minutes walk away from the bustling harbour area.
Oaklands is a lovely building and had plenty of space and room for 3 families. The level of cleanliness was excellent. The welcome hamper was brilliant and a very lovely surprise. The position of the house is perfect for exploring the area.
It was in a good location near to town centre shops and pubs and castle, plus it is only a few miles to some great beaches.
Really lovely cottage in a fab location, was ideal for three generations being together. Only element missing was a sea view but had that a few minutes walk from leaving the house.
We have just returned home from our third stay at Owl Cottage and have already booked for next year. The cottage has everything we need for a relaxing holiday and the views are just perfect. Warkworth itself is just the prettiest place and a perfect base for exploring the wonderful coast and countryside of Northumberland.
A home from home cottage which was situated in a very quiet col de sac at the western edge of North Sunderland so a little further walk into Seahouses than we appreciated. Coquet Cottages handled our booking excellently keeping us informed throughout the process.
Earl's cottage is a lovely character house with everything you need for a central stay in Alnwick. The two bedroom period property includes parking making this the ideal place to stay to explore the area. There were certainly lots to places to explore. The owners were easy to contact and incredibly helpful. We loved the information as to how the house had been renovated and the care that had gone into making this a beautiful holiday let. Would highly recommend.
Lovely clean spacious property. Great location. Fabulous customer service. The app is very helpful. The property is very well equipped and to a great standard. Really comfortable bed.
Brada house is lovely. This modern, bright, comfortable and very clean three bedroom barn conversion was perfect for our family and cocker Spaniel. We have stayed in Golorum a few times now and it's a top location for countryside walks and accessing the tremendous beaches. An issue with missing front door key on arrival resulting in a 1 hour wait in the garden after a three hour drive resulted in damaged frozen goods from our supermarket shop which was most frustrating. And to add to this, there were missing hygiene & cleaning products inside the house once we had the key. The clean...more
We had a lovely stay at The Sewing Room. The cottage is beautifully decorated with lots of home comforts and super cosy beds. The location is fab. A two minute stroll to the beach and in the centre of Alnmouth village for the pubs and shops. We are stone baked pizzas from the Red lion and a delicious meal at Bistro 32. Fab time had by all x
Theis is the third time we have stayed at Garden Cottage and each time we have enjoyed every moment. The Cottage is well cared for and located in very pleasant surroundings. We will no doubt return.
Hotspur is in a great position in a quiet spot right in the centre of the village. It's comfortable and has all you could need for a weekend.
Excellent flat, well equipped in a stunning location. Consider a high backed arm chair for us oldies!
Our family loved Heron House. It was in a great location with views of the river and the castle. It had everything we needed and we loved playing some of the many board games. The bedrooms were spacious. We loved the goodies in the welcome hamper and our dog loved her treats too. She also enjoyed the garden. We made some very special memories at Heron House.
We had a great week at this wonderful cottage overlooking the river. The cottage was spotlessly clean…..a credit to whoever looks after the cottage. Our stay was so comfortable, cosy and homely. The cottage was very well equipped with everything we needed. The welcome hamper and flowers on arrival were a lovely surprise as were the items in the fridge. The position of the cottage couldn’t have been better for lovely walks along the river, and for sitting by the river watching the many birds, ducks and the heron on the weir. We have stayed in many cottages before but this was definitely the bes...more
An excellent cottage , passed my expectations, the kitchen and utility so well stocked. The welcome baskets full of unexpected goodies .
Harebell House is one of the best properties we've ever stayed in. Warm, comfortable and spotlessly clean with everything one could possibly need in a holiday home. A superb welcome hamper and lots of useful information about places to visit, along with a useful walking booklet. Good situation for visiting many interesting places and a pub serving food within walking distance.
This was our second visit to Alnwick and surrounding area, but our first ever holiday using ‘cottage’ accommodation. The owner has not disappointed in presenting a beautiful home for a welcoming stay. A lovely welcome pack was provided, and No1 Duke Street provides everything we needed during our stay.
Thanks for our 3rd stay at Lost Lobster, with total stays in Embleton now exceeding 20! Lost Lobster is truly a home with every room comfortable and welcoming. Highlights for us are the kitchen and the garden where we spend most of our time when there. Very thoughtful throughout, the owners provide me with the best range of kitchen equipment and wares that I could hope for. Use of the pizza oven is always part of our trip. The dogs are happy and provision of dog towels a great help. A big thanks as ever for giving us a lovely holiday.
Property was very well equipped, comfortable and nicely decorated. Steph the owner was very helpful.
What a find! Virginia Cottage is a home from home. It feels loved and cared for and made us feel that way, too. Incredibly comfortable and cosy, it's tucked away in a beautiful, quiet location near the river. The cottage has everything you could possibly need - we'll definitely be back.
A wonderful house in the perfect location Although we were informed at the last minute that Coquet Cottages no longer managed the property the owner could not have been more helpful. Everything you could need is provided.
A very well appointed apartment with a stunning view over Amble Marina towards Warkworth Castle. Ideal for spotting birds, including curlews, mergansers and eider ducks. Plenty of restaurants and shops close by. An excellent base for trips to castles and coast, whether by car or the X18/X20 bus service.
We had a fabulous three day break. The Dunes had everything we needed. The views are lovely . Very spacious but still had a cosy feel . The beach is amazing just what you would expect for the Northumberland coast . After a day out exploring it was great to come back and relax in the garden . We were very lucky the weather was sunny and warm and we could sit out until early evening in the sun.. Sunday lunch we spent in The Warkworth Hotel. It was excellent. Good food and service. We wished we had been able to stay longer ant The Dunes and hopefully will return in the future .
A lovely house that met all our needs. Very comfortable with plenty of space for us all to spread out (7 adults & 4 children) as well as being well-equipped. The lovely garden was a bonus with plenty of space for the grandchildren to play safely. Honey Pot House is also in a great location, with many attractions a short drive away. Wooler is within walking distance and the small supermarket across the road was handy. The ice cream shop next door is to be recommended.
Really nice holiday let , the number of steps might cause a problem for some however once inside everything was lovely
You simply cannot beat Waleric House for the location right in the centre of Alnmouth. Great view over the estuary from the master bedroom suite and so quiet tucked down a little lane of the main street. We absolutely love Waleric House and will probably book again next year for the third year running! Lovely little touches to make you feel at home such as quality toiletries in the bathrooms (full size), beach towels and toys, dog blankets toys biscuits and poop bags! The owner of this property is so welcoming and genuinely wants you to have a great stay. Thanks so much!
Easy to find. Parking convenient. Lovely accommodation and welcome basket. Kitchen well supplied with everything needed for self catering. Seating in lounge area very comfortable. Slept well, bed comfortable. My only problem was stopping the shower water getting on to bathroom floor.
The four of us (3 human, one puggle who thinks he's human) had a fabulous week in this immaculate, well equipped and comfortable home. A superb location, quiet but walkable into Amble, easy access to many local destinations, near a bus stop if you want a car free day (buses are excellent). We couldn't have been more comfortable. Contact with the owner was excellent. I simply can't praise this home from home enough.
Eider Cottage holiday weekend in Warkworth. A well equipped, very central located house. Very clean & welcoming
Really loved Saltwater cottage. It was a very comfortable and cosy home. Everything we needed for a week away. Great location for exploring the area. The garden was great and the patio was sheltered to enjoy the sun even on windy days. It was very clean, the human and dog hampers were a lovely touch. The only negative was the size of the second bedroom for grown up kids. My daughter is tall and the single beds were a bit short with the wooden bed ends. That bedroom is very small and probably better suited for younger kids. Everything else was amazing.
We loved our stay at Riverside Cottage. The perfect location overlooking the river where we saw lots of wildlife. The cottage was beautiful with an amazing welcome hamper on our arrival. Local pubs, food and beaches. Warkworth is one of our favourite places to visit and the cottage made it so much better. We'll be back again
We love Northumberland and have lost count oh how many times we have visited. Coquet cottages always excellent
Dovetail Cottage provides a very comfortable welcome, a generous gift basket and attentive customer service. An excellent base for discovering the delights of this part of Northumberland- castles and beaches galore! Conveniently located for relaxing times next to the Coquet watching the wildlife, as well as very short walks to good pubs and restaurants. Free parking nearby. Will use Coquet Cottages again.
Quiet location. A car is needed to get around sightseeing but also for shops. The kitchen table seemed small for 4 and the pots we on the small side for cooking. We temporarily lost power on the night of Storm Floris, but the owner was quickly in touch and resolved the matter with the energy supplier. We had an enjoyable stay.
We stayed at Lyndhurst as a family group of 6 adults with 3 dogs at the end of July. The owner very kindly telephoned beforehand and offered us early check-in, as the house was empty the week before, which was a nice touch and much appreciated. The welcome hamper was lovely, with fresh strawberries and cream in the fridge too, and some lovely flowers - certainly a level above elsewhere. The house itself is very spacious, and easily accommodated us all, without ever feeling crowded. The garden to the rear was lovely to sit in and secure for the dogs to run in. There was plenty of equipment...more
This is a lovely cottage in Thropton high up on a hill with wonderful views. It’s near the town of Rothbury so close to Cragside. The coast is only a short distance too. The surrounding hills are wonderful for walking and there is a local golf course. The cottage is well equipped and comfortable after long days out. Very quiet and almost isolated.
Our 2nd stay at Sunny Cottage. An extremely comfortable cottage that just suits our needs. The location is perfect so we don't have to use the car everyday.
This property was truly outstandingly fantastic. Very high standards throughout, offering the very best in comfort and luxury. It really did feel like home from home. There’s not one thing to criticise. I know we will book again in the future!
Very impressed with Coquet Cottages, plenty of attentive helpful accurate information. The property was exactly as described and just what we required. The only quibble I had was the sofa was too soft and low for my taste
Lovely cottage, tastefully and sympathetically restored. Spacious and well equipped. Tha welcome hamper was a lovely touch with delicious scones and many other treats. Cottage is only a few minutes walk from Alnwick Castle and other attractions and ideally placed for exploring Nortumberland. We would have no hesitation in returning next year.
We had a lovely relaxing week in this beautiful holiday cottage. The cottage is in a quiet, peaceful location and is very comfortable. It was well equipped with everything we needed during our stay.
What a great find! This cottage provided perfect accommodation for a multi generational stay to celebrate a milestone birthday. The toys were a big hit with the grandchildren and the snug provided a peaceful area as well. We would definitely book this cottage again.
Booked this accommodation going off previous reviews, on arrival the front of the house garden was unkempt as was the rear garden, situated near to shops, harbour etc so ideal for eateries, shops, quiet street, lots of cars parked but managed to park easily, comfortable clean beds, kitchen equipped with most of everything you would need, nice welcome pack, didn’t like the plastic table cloth, no toilet rolls but no problem just went & bought some, decoration needs some TLC overall a reasonable stay, having used Coquet Cottages for a number of years we felt this wasn’t up to their normal standa...more
Wild Goose is a stunning apartment with amazing views! It is the perfect location for exploring Bamburgh and other local areas. The host was brilliant, friendly and offered lots of suggestions for eating out and places to visit. We absolutely fell in love with the area and the amazing weather added even more sparkle to our stay! Would definitely stay at Wild Goose again!
The cottage was comfortable and was well equipped. We had trouble with the shower dial in the main bedroom en suite but this was resolved after speaking to the handyman. The Garden was lovely but not well tended to. The patio was a disappointment as there were huge weeds growing through paving. As a result we did not sit out in the garden/ patio, which was a shame as it was one of the reasons I selected this cottage.
Such a wonderful place to stay - the views are amazing - the Cheviots, the Farne Islands and Bamburgh castle. I have been coming here for several years now and it never disappoints! So comfortable and welcoming. The lovely personal touch of the owner calling to check that all is ok on the first evening so special.
Charming and well presented cottage............comfortable .......very clean and welcome basket musc henjoyed thank you
We all had a wonderful stay in Shepherd’s cottage! We were a family group of 6 adults and 3 children aged 9, 3 and 7 mths. There was room for us all. The children loved the large and secure garden and the cinema room. There were tears when we had to leave! The owners couldn’t have been more helpful when we had a minor issue with one of the showers. We all commented on the interior design - lovely The Coquet app was a great help with all the info you could possibly need. Will definitely return.
Had such a good time at Croft Cottage, the garden was amazing and had long evenings just playing with our two young children, the cottage was just beautiful, the location was great, out the way but close enough to so many great adventures, really enjoyed out stay, would defiantly stay here again.
We loved returning to The Shiel. It's a great location and the property is so well kitted out with all we could ask for and more, especially the welcome basket bonus. Thank you so much.
We found Crabcake Cottage last year, and liked it because it was well set up for children, with toys, books and a swing in the back garden. It’s also right by the play area in Craster. Excellent for a family holiday- so we came back in 2025
What a fantastic stay, thank you so much. It was so comfortable and easy with our two boys. And everything close by. We didn’t manage to get to half the things we intended to. We would stay at St Paul’s again in a heartbeat!
Stayed here for two weeks, very impressed with the accommodation, first impressions count. We are regular visitors to Alnmouth, so glad of reasonable proximity to the beach and restaurants/pubs. On entering the property, it was evident the cleaning team had done a thorough job, it was clean and fresh; we were also very appreciative of the welcome pack, some nice touches, dogs also were given treats. The property is well resourced with ample crockery, glassware etc, although the pan handles were poorly insulated and got very hot. The complimentary toiletries were well received, also glad o...more
Fantastic property in a brilliant location. Very clean and well equipped. The welcome basket was gorgeous. The office staff are really helpful and the app was brilliant.
A good property, wecome pack excellent, really lovely garden. Barbecue hut unexpected and and a great hit with the kids. Beds very comfortable. Cleanliness not so good, dog hair, old cereal under dining table and some pans that needed washing before they could be used, also a very strong smell of dog in the downstairs bedroom was unpleasant.
Beautiful cottage. Exceptionally clean. Location couldn't have been better. So easy to get to other area's. Banbrough. Almouth. Sea houses. All within easy distance. Beautiful town right on door step .Secure yard for dogs .. The only one downside was the noise from the road . Due to the single glazed windows, but on saying that it wouldn't stop me from booking this Beautiful cottage again as the pro far out weight the 1 con
A lovely property and very comfortable. Quality fixtures, fittings and crockery. Beautiful views and an ideal position for a short walk into amble.
In a great location and a very comfortable and well equipped apartment. Having a parking space is also convenient.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cherry Tree Cottage. The house is gorgeous, the beds are the most comfortable we have ever slept in, there was plenty of seating in the living room and the garden was lovely - just a shame we didn't have slightly warmer weather or we would have been sat outside on the seating area, which is very private. Our two dogs loved the garden as they had plenty of space to run around and roll on the grass! There was a delicious welcome pack when we arrived; bread, butter, milk, scones, coffee, tea, biscuits and juice! It was a 2 min drive into Amble which we loved ...more
Lovely cottage, beautifully renovated and very comfortable and clean. Well equipped with lots of nice touches such as the welcome packs for both humans and dogs! Private, enclosed front patio area. Lesbury is a very pretty village with a shop and a great pub, The Coach Inn, just a few minutes walk away. Very friendly staff, good atmosphere, we had a couple of excellent meals there. So much to do and see in the surrounding area, beautiful beaches.
Lovely cottage, in a central location. Clean and beautifully decorated. Welcome hamper of locally sourced items was a lovely touch. Would definitely look at using Coquet cottages again, especially if all their cottages are of the same standard
The cottage was ideal for our stay with our dog. Out in the countryside but also withiin easy access to a beach - Warkworth Dunes were the nearest.
The cottage is ideally situated in Warkworth with shops / pubs and walks to near - it is well equipped and has the added advantage of a patio and garden (both of which we used on numerous occasions as the weather was lovely)
Our second stay at The Atrium. Bright, airy flat with a pleasant outlook over the grounds of the Alnwick Family Hub. There was a lot of noise from there on the Saturday and Sunday, but that was unusual. The bedroom with balcony access was very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. I think a couple of grab rails to assist getting in and out of the bath (to access shower over) would be very useful. It felt very precarious climbing in and out. I am quite agile and have good balance. Some people could find accessing the shower very challenging.
What a wonderful place to stay ! This cottage is in a perfect location for exploring. It is well kept and the view from the living room window of the castle is amazing. The cottage had everything you need, the addition of a washing machine and a BBQ was ideal too. It is nicely decorated and kept well. If anything I feel like the cottage could have been slightly cleaner however this is just the smaller details of skirting boards/floors etc. The welcome hamper as always is a real treat and fresh flowers a great touch. The access to the cottage is not easy with children and a dog plus lots o...more
As first time visitors to Northumberland Tower Cottage was ideally placed. Very comfortable and quiet with the perfect view of the Castle.
The cottage is in a brilliant spot, great to walk to Craster and Dunstanburgh Castle, local pub, Cottage Inn, is good for food and only 50 yards away. Beaches at Embleton, Newton-by-the Sea easy to get to and beautiful.
Seascape is a beautiful holiday home in a lovely location overlooking Amble piers, and the sea. We met Nicola, who manages and cleans the property, when we arrived. She was really friendly and welcoming. The house was very clean when we arrived and there was a lovely welcome package of bread, butter, scones, jams etc for us. The views from the massive patio windows in the living room made the whole holiday. When the sea was rough it was fun to watch people trying to dodge the waves. There was a small issue with a leaking radiator which dropped the pressure in the combi boiler and stopped it wo...more
We stayed with our young grandchildren at Grace Cottage and found it everything we could have hoped for. Close enough to the village amenities and beach but just far enough out to avoid the crowds. The Cottage was clean and well equiped for a comfortable and enjoyable week.
We were very pleased at the property and the welcome pack was delicious. Could have had a microwave but was no problem. A bit disappointed that there were no toiletries as was looking forward to trying the ones that was advertised.
A comfortable well equipped house with parking for 3 cars located in Bamburgh village. It's a short walk to the sea and the village amenities. The house has 4 bedrooms on the upper 2 floors and 2 of these are en suite. The lower floor has 2 reception rooms with TV.s a large dining kitchen with bi fold doors and a well equipped utility room. We have been staying for the last 10 years and have already booked for next summer.
The cottage was lovely, clean, welcoming and just as it appeared on the booking site. A welcome pack was provided with all the basic essentials and more. The two bedrooms were spacious and the beds were all comfortable. The bathroom was well equipped with a power shower and a lovely bath (just what you need after a days outing). The steps down from the front door into the lounge and the lounge into the kitchen took some getting used to (maybe a strip at the top of the steps would be helpful if possible). All in all we had a really good stay thank you .
We have stayed at Puffin Cottage several times now and we always have a lovely, relaxed stay with family. The location is brilliant for us and it really does feel like home. The only point to mention this time is that the cleanliness wasn’t quite up to its usual standard which was disappointing. Overall however we had another brilliant stay!
Brilliant accommodation with everything you would wish for a self-catering stay - and more ! Welcome hamper and scones was a lovely treat. Plenty bathroom space if 2 couples staying as main bedroom is en suite with shower and second bedroom opposite bathroom - and each bedroom had its own TV Huge fridge freezer for storing food if you want to cook your own meals Having streaming services on TV in lounge was an added luxury And watching all the little birds flying around front garden was an added bonus Definitely recommend
Spacious accommodation with everything you might need included. Clean and welcoming and a lovely secure garden for dogs. The hot tub was ideal for a quick relaxation after enjoying the local area. Good location for Wooler centre and fir getting g out & about. Welcome hamper for all much appreciated, especially homemade cake.
We have stayed at a number of Coquet Cottages before and always found them exceptional. Unfortunately The Buttery didn’t live up to that high standard. A very difficult entry, particularly with luggage, uncomfortable seating, small en-suite. The property seemed disproportionate in size with a very large kitchen area, very small dining and overall quite claustrophobic. The windows were very dirty. The garden was decent, but not as convenient as just stepping outside with a drink. We also were asked to put the bin out which was incredibly heavy packed with previous occupants rubbish. The price w...more
House is in good location and we enjoyed sitting in sun in garden. Garden getting overgrown with weeds , which is a shame as can see was a lovely garden.
A superb location right on the staithes and a lovely walk into the town and the patio area was very pleasant
Great location, very quiet, well equipped. Nice large front garden. The cottage could do with a deep clean. Bins full.
Apartment was in a great location with available parking space Very well equipped in the kitchen area bedrooms & bathroom & living area well presented. Unless I missed this piece of information we did not have code to enter the actual building however others visiting were around to help. My mistake if this was provided by the company.
Cosy, well equipped cottage located in the centre of Bamburgh. Great to have the courtyard where we enjoyed a sunny evening. Customer service was great throughout the booking process and in the lead up to our holiday. Would recommend.
A perfectly sized and well positioned spot for our family of six adults. Beautifully appointed with luxuriant bedding and good quality natural carpets. Superb walks/runs along the beach and river with plenty of fauna and flora to take in. The castle views from the windows are magnificent and awe inspiring.
A comfortable stay and good location but not up to Coquets usual standards. We were lucky with the weather otherwise we would not have wanted to spend extra time at the property. Disappointed that issues raised by previous people had not been actioned upon. Scruffy and unkempt/dirty outdoor space and v dark internal rooms which smelt v strongly of dog and lounge furniture needed a thorough deep steam clean. We ended up tidying the leaves and weeds ourselves! Bathroom towels smelt dank and couldn’t be used. The property is in need of maintenance and looks tired.
I cannot help but give this place five stars. The customer service began with a phone call in the afternoon of our first day, telling us that the cottage was ready for us. We were walking around the village with a couple of hours to spare, so this was great news. We walked in to fresh flowers, a handmade cake (delicious) and everything else we could wish for. The beds were comfortable, the sofas were comfortable, there were plenty of cups and plates in the kitchen, together with a coffee machine, and lots of books to choose from. We went in the hot tub, and were surprised to find flipflops...more
Fantastic location. An enjoyable week in a homely cottage. Warkworth is a lovely village with great access to the castles and beaches.
Watergate cottage is a comfortable & well-equipped base in an excellent location to explore Bamburgh and the surrounding area. The welcome basket was much appreciated & the owner responded immediately when we had a query. Lots of nice places to eat in Bamburgh and nearby Seahouses as well as lovely coastal walks & many castles to visit.
