The Old Piggery, a beautiful, newly renovated three bedroom accessible cottage situated in the North Devon countryside. The Old Piggery is based on a working farm in North Devon. The recently renovated cottage has retained the charm and character of the old barn, the classic oak beams connect the past and present in this beautifully finished barn conversion. Surrounded by stunning countryside and numerous walks you and the whole family can enjoy the 3 bedroom property, sleeping 6, whatever the weather.

We had another wonderful weekend away at The Piggery, this was our second visit. The facilities are great just what we need for all the family members, ie a ground floor bedroom with an ensuite wet room with hand rails etc and separate bedrooms and shower room upstairs. With such amazing weather being able to sit outside on the comfy garden chairs was an added bonus. Also the location is great in the countryside, but with Barnstaple quickly and easily accessible with plenty of choice of shops and supermarkets and then also having the beautiful Exmoor on your doorstep as well.
We highly recommend this accommodation with the delicious homemade cream tea and milk to welcome you.

We spent 3 nights at the cottage in September and had a delightful experience. Communication before the stay was very rapid and helpful and sorted out a few anxieties about accessibility.

We brought along a family member with MND. He found it easy to get around the spacious and uncluttered downstairs easily. The wet room facilities were great although water temperature was not always very warm. Getting around the space was not a problem.
It was lovely to have a calming view to look out on and to be in striking distance of some lovely coastal places, particularly Appledore and Saunterton.
We cooked every evening and found a well equipped kitchen.

Surpassed all expectations. Our 92 year old mother who is disabled with dementia had all the facilities she needed for a lovely stay.
The owners were very kind and bought her a beautiful bunch of flowers for her birthday.
Guinness the shih tzu settled immediately and enjoyed the lovely countryside around.
Would highly recommend the piggery for anyone with limited capacity. Thank you Sue and Tom for a lovely stay and the cream tea that awaited us on arrival.

Chosen more for availability - possibly would have chosen somewhere not as rural. A lovely place and nice break with the hosts being welcoming and helpful. Nice touch leaving a message and cream tea!

Lovely cottage, extremely clean, well equipped, ample room for 6 adults comfortably including garden furniture. Very pleasant stay.
It is on the road with more traffic than expected but did not disturb at night. Although it is a dog friendly cottage, needed to drive for dog walks so went out everyday as did not find much suitable directly from the cottage.

The Old Piggery was a lovely converted accessible cottage for our family holiday.

We take a lot of equipment for our disabled teenage daughter, this worked well .

A very lovely holiday apart from good old British weather.

We had an amazing weekend away in The old Piggery. Converted to a great standard, very warm and cosy. The downstairs bedroom with en-suite accessible wet room was great for my Mother in Law , while we had a lovely bedroom and bathroom upstairs. It was well laid out and easy to manoeuvre around with a walker. You could be in Barnstaple within 10/15 mins which had great shopping and other amenities available.

Finding Homemade scones, Jam, and cream on the table, upon arrival was a wonderful start to our stay.

We would recommend The Old Piggery for a relaxing stay.
