Seaweed is ideally situated in the heart of the popular seaside coastal village of Combe Martin on the North Devon coast. This pet friendly, yet very clean, three bedroom cottage offers a great base for couples and families, plus two dogs, to explore the coast and nearby Exmoor National Park. It is a very short walk to both of the family and dog friendly beaches at Combe Martin, popular for rock-pooling, kayaking, SUP boarding and the amenities of the village.

Seaweed Cottage was a very comfortable, clean, bright and roomy home from home.

It was spacious for a family of four (adults) and dog! Beds were comfortable and the cottage was well stocked with all we needed, including bed linen and towels. Showers were decent and there is a handy porch for coats and boots.

It was literally a 5 minute walk to Combe Martin beach, shops and cafe's. The Black and White chippy was great (3 min walk), and the Ice cream parlour Sugar Rush was amazing.

There is not much of a garden, but we didn't feel the need to have one as were so close to the beach.

We would highly recommend Seaweed, for anyone wanting a holiday near the beach, in a very nice cottage.

We had October half term at Seaweed with our 3 children and cocker spaniel.
The house was one minute walk from the beach and nice little town centre which includes some lovely small independent shops/cafe/ice cream shops etc. Fantastic coast walks, all in walking distance.
The house was perfect. It's a great layout, plenty of room for us all to have a comfortable stay. It was spotless! Everything was thought about, the owners certainly went the extra mile.
The woodburner fire was the extra special touch and gave us cozy relaxed evenings.
Communications with the owners was excellent.

I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

It's our second visit to Seaweed which we enjoyed very much. Just a stones throw from the beach and some lovely countryside. Also plenty of shops for supplies, excellent fish & chips from the Black& White. The Focsle Inn , right on the beach is good for pub meals.

Our second stay at Seaweed and the property again provided a 5☆ experience. Immaculately clean , tidy, and fresh with lots of extra touches which enhanced our visit. Location is perfect, so close to the beach and amenities but in a quiet, tucked away location. Owner is friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Seaweed has become our favourite holiday property.

3rd visit to seaweed and loved it. Great location, fantastic house and we will be back again.
Wonderful homemade bread and wine, with house snug and warm when we landed. Teenagers and dog all excited to be back in Combe Martin

We’ve stayed at Seaweed Cottage many times, yet when you walk through the door it feels like we’re the first ever visitors. The cottage is immaculate and cozy. It’s the small details that make us feel special: chocolates on the bed, bubbles in the fridge, and a yummy homemade Swedish chocolate cake. We were there to celebrate Christmas with family. So it was nice to have a decorated Christmas tree & holiday decor throughout the B & B. We would recommend Seaweed cottage to all our friends and family.

Nikki and Mark have created the most bright, cheerful and well laid out property! We walked in and both said “Wow! This is amazing!” So inviting, with such a welcoming and cheerful feel; we felt it was truly our home for the week. Seaweed was spotlessly clean, with every inch taken care of to the highest standard. Plenty of storage and a more than fully equipped kitchen with very good quality equipment which all worked exactly as they should! Great quality bathrooms with powerful showers that were a treat at the end of a long day of walking, or a lovely deep bath! It was great to be 3 minutes walk to the sea, short walk to pubs, cafes and shops. All-in-all we couldn’t have asked for more and must mention how friendly and informative Nikki and Mark were, keeping in touch prior to our visit, nothing was too much trouble. The home made sour bread and jam were such a lovely touch, too. Thank you so much!

We’ve just come home from a wonderful stay at Seaweed! As a family group of six (4 adults, 2 children) the property was spacious enough for all of us to enjoy time together.
From the initial contact with Nikki, she was friendly and approachable when I had questions. When we arrived, she was super chatty, bubbly and extremely accommodating!
Once we had the keys, we were excited to get in and the welcome we received once inside was an exceptionally clean and carefully thought about space!
From a hand written welcome card, to freshly baked bread, a bottle of chilled wine and goodies for the children-we were pleasantly surprised by it all!
The information pack literally said it all-we weren’t left wondering about anything!
We cannot wait to go back! Thank you again Nikki for a wonderful stay!

Seaweed is a little piece of heaven. We came back again this year and definitely weren’t disappointed. Nikki and Mark make Seaweed a wonderful place to stay. There is everything you need and it fitted 6 of us very comfortably (that included 2 teenagers), the downstairs bedroom and bathroom was perfect for my older parents. Nikki and Mark are perfect hosts and endeavour to ensure your stay is everything you hope for. Even down to very welcome treats (including a chilled bottle of wine and freshly baked bread) on arrival.
It’s proximity to the beach is perfect, it is literally 1 minute away. Combe Martin is a lovely, busy little town. There are local companies that hire out kayaks and paddle boards. Nice places to eat and drink, amazing local butcher who makes delicious Cornish pasties. Rounded off each evening watching the sunset from the pub that sits overlooking the beach (The Focsle).
I highly recommend staying at Seaweed. My only regret was having to leave, we will be back though!!

We booked our Elderly Parents into Seaweed Cottage for a 7 week stay to see if they would like to move to Devon.
The House is perfect in every way with every possible thing thought of available to make your stay comfortable and happy.
The cottage is light and airy and beautifully decorated.
The Owner,Nikki, is exceptional.
She cleaned every week for their stay and checked in on them regularly to see if they were ok.
I would highly recommend this cottage.
The location is perfect in Combe Martin,within walking distance of the beach,cafes and shops.

Seaweed is an amazing property situated within a few hundred yards walk from the shops, takeaways, restaurants, pubs and beach. Despite its central location it is tucked away in a quiet private road. Seaweed is light, airy, spacious and immaculately clean. There is real attention to detail and the property is well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The hosts are amazing and were incredibly helpful from the outset, answering all our queries and ensuring we had everything we needed for our stay. You could not ask for a better holiday property or location. Our entire holiday was a 5* experience!

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend with our 13 year old son and Border Collie. The house itself was exceptionally clean, spacious (although there was only 3 of us!) and inviting with a lovely welcoming gift on arrival.
The host had gone out of her way to ensure we had clear directions beforehand and was available to contact regarding any local information you may require. The house was well stocked with all the little things you sometimes need, and although on this occasion we didn't really cook much ourselves, for a longer stay this would have been beneficial.
We used Seaweed Cottage as a base to explore Combe Martin, (Great hangman walk with beautiful views) Ilfracombe, Woolacombe beach and Lynton and Lynmouth. We went out of season but still found the local chippy and pub were open and there was a shop literally a minutes walk away with all basic essentials. The house was warm and cosy of an evening and we did make use of the wood burner. All in all a great stay and will definately return.

We have just come back from a wonderful week staying at Seaweed. The house itself was so clean, warm and comfortable with everything you could possibly need including homemade bread on arrival! Only 2 mins walk down to the small beach with amazing rock pools at low tide and within an easy drive to larger resorts and amazing coastal walks. Quad biking was a particular highlight for us!! Overall wonderful house, great hosts and a fantastic location!

This lovely house has been furnished to a very high standard. It is very convenient for the beach and there are many lovely walks in the immediate area. There is a good choice of restaurants within walking distance. We had a lovely week here and would highly recommend it.

From the moment we stepped through the door of Seaweed we knew we were on our holidays. Nikki and Mark, the owners, had left a wonderful welcome display of homemade bread, nibbles and wine chilling in the fridge. A perfect way to start our holidays. The house itself is so inviting, sunny and beautifully decorated. It is very well equipped, Nikki has considered everything you could possibly need. There is plenty of room and comfortably fits 6 people- there were 6 of us - 4 adults and 2 teenagers and it never felt cramped. The beach is less than a 2 minute walk away, a picturesque cove where you can do lots of paddle boarding and kayaking. There are walks up hangman hill (very steep, great for the quads) we did the south coastal path to watermouth harbour where there is a very quaint tea room that used to be a boat. You won’t be bored, plenty to do and Nikki had left us lots of information regarding local activities and places to eat. We brought our own paddle boards and wetsuits and we kept them in the yard at the back of the house where there is a hose and a hanger for the wetsuits. There are also a couple of watersports companies in the village that you can hire from or book trips so you don’t have to have your own gear. We also went further afield to go surfing on the bigger beaches along the coast. We enjoyed our stay at seaweed immensely and you shouldn’t have any doubt about booking this as a holiday destination, we will certainly be coming back. Thank you Nikki and Mark x

Lovely little house, spotlessly clean and tidy. Perfectly located within the centre of Combe Martin. Super helpful host in Nikki she really couldn’t do enough for us and was very responsive. Lovely touches when you first enter the property which are extremely thoughtful especially after a long journey. Nikki even thought about the dog which was very generous. Would definitely recommend and will be back for another stay.

This was a beautiful place to stay for our holiday. We had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and easy. Comfortable beds spotlessly clean. Well stocked kitchen faultless. I would highly recommend it to anyone. It’s location was perfect for every amenity and close to many attractions with good bus root too. The host thought of everything. Thank you for an amazing holiday and wonderful accommodation too.

We stayed just after the first lockdown in 2020 and were really surprised at how lovely the cottage was. As we have family in the area we decided to book a second visit this year. Its rare to go somewhere and find that it's actually better than before but this was definitely the case. Lots more personal touches to the cottage making it even more cosy and beautiful than before.
It is ideal having the second walk in shower downstairs which we made use of after trips to the beach.
We were very lucky with some brilliant weather on our visit and the cottage was lovey and cool both in the day and night if you needed to get out of the sun for a bit.
We loved the homemade bread and essentials which greeted us on arrival and meant we weren't in desperate need for a shop after all our travelling.
Loved our visit and felt properly spoilt, a really relaxing holiday had by all.
Will be booking again to come back!!

When we arrived there were little gifts left for us by the owner including some homemade bread. Hand soap, washing up liquid, tea towels, towels and all bedding was provided. With little notes left for us this made us feel very welcome. The cottage was lovely and comfortable and decorated nicely with everything that we needed. All communication with the owners was very good and they texted us before and after we arrived to see if we needed anything. I would recommend this cottage to anyone who wanted the perfect escape for a week.

We have just spent a fabulous week at Seaweed's. It's an excellent base for walking the coast path, hitting the beach, visiting picturesque coastal villages and eating in some great places. The accommodation itself, is spacious, modern and super clean.
Nikki was incredibly helpful with information about the area.
I would definitely recommend Seaweed and hope to come back.

From the first step into Seaweed, we felt welcomed.
The house was bright and sunny and the “welcome”gifts were a lovely surprise
Even our little dog was made comfortable with a basket, rug and biscuits
The basic shops and pubs and fish and chips were all a few steps away and the lovely beach and beautiful sunsets. Lots of pleasant walks and Hangman Hill to give you a good workout

Seaweed was a lovely surprise. When we arrived there was a loaf of freshly baked bread & flowers, pristine & the most lovely hostess.... Nikki. We will definitely book another holiday soon! Walking distance to the beach & local coffee shops. Great location!! Highly recommend booking at Seaweed.

Awesome cottage, 2 min walk to the beach, pub and local shops. House was perfect for family break away. Great communal area, comfy sofas, great showers and dog friendly for our new family member.
Hosts went above and beyond to may holiday special. Giving great advise on dog friendly places and stuff to do.
We liked it so much we have already booked to go back. Whole family including 13yo&10yo looking forward to return visit.

We found the property in excellent condition. The Wifi was fast which is a real surprise as this is not very often the case. The owners were very helpful and couldn't have done more to make our stay any better. This property is well worth booking.

This house was in an excellent location, two minutes from the beach. The house inside was very clean and all amenities were there. You could not ask anymore from the owners. The owners went far beyond to assist. Ideal location for walking and visiting other towns.

Our first impression of Seaweed was immediately welcoming. The lights were on and it was warm and cosy, spotlessly clean, and a bottle of wine in the fridge. There were even some treats left out for our two dogs! Every part of the house is comfortable and homely. The bed is one of the comfiest we’ve ever slept in! The location is close to shops and also close to the beach. We also used the local fish and chip shop which is very close by. We would definitely recommend this beautiful house and will definitely be coming back!

We booked at very short notice for our stay (thank you My Favourite Cottages & Nikki) due to being let down elsewhere. Seaweed is ideally located, near the beach and local facilities, and close to other parts of North Devon. It is beautifully decorated, and the accommodation was perfect for our stay.
