Fort Belan is a stunning 18th century fort on the coast of Caernarfon Bay. Belan House, sleeps nine. Pets welcome. Beach front location.

Last minute summer getaway after our holiday abroad was cancelled .

The location of the fort is stunning! It was peaceful and everything we needed for a Covid free getaway. We booked after our holiday abroad was cancelled and were thrilled to find somewhere to meet our needs and at a good price.
The fort itself has so much character and was the perfect setting for a holiday .
The layout of our cottage was good and gave our large family enough space . There was enough cooking equipment for cooking there everyday.
However, the cottage is in need of decorating and a more thorough deep clean. For example ,the bath was badly stained and the washroom had no floor covering. The door into the dining room needed to be propped open to avoid it slamming quickly shut. If some investment was made to simple renovations this cottage would be amazing and I would want to return.

Unique place to stay, a great place for a family get together, very clean with everything you needed. Loved the wheelbarrow touch, the deckchairs and the welcoming flowers on arrival. You needed a car but a nice beach not to far away for the younger members of the party. The whole site was well planned and beautiful laid out with flowers and lawns, wish we could have stayed longer. - perhaps next year!!

Belan fort is a real find. If you are looking for something different with real history, stunning surroundings with peace and quiet then look no further. Within a 30 min drive you find yourself in the beautiful town of Carnarfon with its stunning castle and beautiful architecture. Drive for a further 30 minutes and your be waterfall hopping in Snowdonia or swimming in fresh water lakes (wetsuit strongly advised) at the foot of an old quary. Truly magical holiday regardless of the British weather. Thoroughly recommend it!

Fabulous for a large party, book a few houses, space, peace, historical building.
Make sure you take all you need as you are a good 10 mins from any shops.
Would definitely stay here again.

Great for the beach, Snowdonia and touring NW Wales

Fascinating spot, nice big weird old place. Suited us very well, very safe and fun for the children. Amazing beaches close by. The location might not suit everyone but we loved it. Owners couldn't have been nicer.
