Had a fantastic time with elderly parents. Cottage was of a very high standard and so very comfortable. Great surroundings.
What a lovely cottage! It was ideal for me as it was all on one level with the added bonus of a wet room, the kitchen was well stocked with crockery, pans and glasses etc. It was in a lovely location which was handy for getting around. The owners were lovely, there if we them. There was lots of books and games, and in the bunk bed room there was children's books, there was even a baby bath! We would definitely go again!
Cottage was well kept, had everything you could want for a perfect holiday. Beach was only about 5 minutes to walk to. Other seaside places close by .
Great place to unwind - away from it all yet close the bustle and beautiful across the water view of Beaumaris and the magical place of Penmon lighthouse.
An excellent cottage from the moment we got there. We were welcomed by the proprietors and shown around the cottage which we found to be fully equipped and more. Everywhere was beautifully clean and fresh. Outside there was an excellent, private patio area and plenty of parking. Set in a lovely position wih views of the mountains and very convenient for Anglesey and all of Snowdonia and the North Wales beaches.
We had a lovely few days at this property. There was a 98 year old lady and a dog in our party so we had a few requirements regarding mobility and security issues. This property met all our needs and provided us with a very pleasant stay. I would have no qualms about recommending it to anyone.
We have recently returned from a lovely stay at this bungalow. The bungalow is in a great location and the village of Moelfre is gorgeous. The bungalow is very close to the local amenities and the area is surrounded by lovely walks. We were greeted on arrival by the owners parents who were very friendly and cooperative and explained the keys, hot water and garden facilities. They very kindly left us a bottle of wine and some milk too. The bungalow was very clean and tidy and had everything we needed for our stay. We took our dog to stay in the property and the garden was safe and secure. When ...more
Fabulous cottage - extremely well equipped. Location could not be bettered with sea views from every corner. Would definitely recommend - plenty of room for a group or family of 6, 7 or even 8!
Lovely peaceful cottage, very spacious for a large or extended family. Very well equipped kitchen. Beautiful views across the Menai straits and safe enclosed garden. Would definitely stay here again.
Had a wonderful two week stay. Very comfortable property in a quiet location with a lovely view and nice to come back to relax after a day's sightseeing. The owners were very pleasant and welcoming.
Very clean and very well equipped with towels and kitchen utensils. Enjoyed our stay and would go again . Thank you .
We had a great break here. Guillemot is a very clean, cosy and peaceful house. Decor and furniture is lovely, as is the garden. It's 5 minutes walk to the beach, about 7 minutes to a great kids park. Beaumaris is a beautiful spot. We are a small family with a three year old, and had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay.
Booked last minute for a short holiday have been before once again perfect holiday location in pretty cottage with everything you need for a relaxing holiday.will be booking again in the spring.
Fascinating spot, nice big weird old place. Suited us very well, very safe and fun for the children. Amazing beaches close by. The location might not suit everyone but we loved it. Owners couldn't have been nicer.
An ideal place for those who want to get away from it all. A romantic setting on a spit of land jutting out into the Menai Straits, remote is the word. The accommodation was comfortable, well-equipped and spacious. I had a good view down the length of the fort. The views all round from the battlements is superb. To the North, Anglesey, to the South, Snowdonia. The cannons reminding one of the purpose of the fort, to protect the Straits from attack. In the warm light of the sunset the place took on a magical air. The narrow channel between the mainland and Anglesey is a constantly changing vi...more
Tan Y Bryn is a really lovely cottage. Very comfortable and well equipped. The views are fabulous from every window and the upside down aspect works really well. The garden is great for children and dogs - lots of really nice walks-we particularly enjoyed the walk to Penmon lighthouse-then back to the cottage for an evening by the log burner. We would definitely recommend!
Great location and lovely cottage. I would definitely come back at some point. Only downside was my parents thought the single beds needed better mattresses although they'd be fine for children. Didn't notice any smoke detectors which I would like to see. But a really lovely place all round
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The lodge was so well equipped, comfortable and warm. The bedrooms were nicely decorated, and bathrooms well equipped. It was great that there were things to hand like bin bags, soap, and other household products and basic condiments. I couldn't fault how well we were provided for in this cabin. I would suggest that instructions are clearer on how to open the entrance doors as once explained it was easy. Notified contact number who said they would update the instructions. Also a nice touch would be if there were logs provided on your first nights arrival as having ...more
Very child friendly and well equipped cottage in rural location. Spotless and quiet. Ideal base to explore Anglesey. Rhosneigr is 5 minutes in car. We hope to return.
Cable cottage is a beautiful cottage in a quiet location- which was just what we were looking for. The little beach is right outside your window and we had it to ourselves most of the time, apart from the odd dogwalker. The cottage itself is very well equipped with everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The only thing I would say is that the garden isn't fully enclosed -so if you have young children or a dog that likes to wander, just be mindful of this. The garden however is lovely and big, with plenty of sitting areas. We particularly liked the astro turf seating area at the side of th...more
We booked the cottage for a full family weekend with new baby and puppy. The cottage was great and we all felt we all had enough space to move around without feeling on top of each other. The surroundings are beautiful and there are good walks just outside the grounds that are well worth a try (beautiful views over Anglesey). Fabulous beaches only a short drive away too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely be booking again soon.
Overall this is an excellent apartment which has been decorated to a very high modern standard with excellent facilities. My only negatives and then not in any way bad are the main bedroom could be a bit bigger and the second bedroom is quite small, although this didn't affect is. However the large lounge dining room and kitchen were excellent
Our recent stay at the moorings top flat at New Year was excellent. We stayed a few years before also. A balcony has now been built which is ideal for those summer months where you can sip wine whilst admiring the sunset !!! The location is ideal, a super spot whether you want to go onto the beach, do a coastal walk or have a browse around the local village.
The only down side was the dishwasher was out of action. The upside was there were lots of helperS and volunteers
Good location, comfortable and spacious accommodation for large family groups. Very satisfied with our stay in this property and would use again should the opportunity arise
We enjoyed a relaxing stay at this delightful cottage in July 2015. The cottage is in a wonderful position close to the sea. Splendid views of Snowdon and Caernarfon. The accommodation was perfect - comfortable and with every convenience. We intend returning to this cottage in the very near future.
A lovely bungalow in a very quiet cul de sac. Ideally situated for exploring Anglesey. A very friendly and helpful owner who even provided us with milk, butter, bread and welsh cakes on our arrival. The bungalow is spotlessly clean and is kitted out with everything you could need. An absolute bargain price. We shall certainly be visiting again.
This house offers huge space: plenty of bedrooms, a big comfortable lounge with plenty of seating, and a huge kitchen table that seats 12. We were a big family party and were delighted with the space and comfort that King's House offered. It's brilliantly situated in the heart of Beaumaris within easy reach if everything the town has to offer. A particular feature of the house is the Jacuzzi which was well-used by us all. There was only one slight complaint from the people in the top double bed; they thought it wa a bit uncomfortable and in need of a new mattress......everything else was perf...more
Wonderful house, location, hospitality, very clean and the hot tub was an added bonus. Would definitely recommend as a group holiday. So much space and kept getting lost with the whereabouts of all the rooms.........would love to return.
Lovely cottage. Very well-equipped kitchen. Tea, coffee and sugar supplied for arrival, as well as chocolate biscuits. Bedrooms very comfortable - plenty of spare covers/blankets if cold, although we were plenty warm enough all the time. Welcomed by owner and told how to put heating on if needed. Not many towels supplied - glad we took our own. Stairs very steep and treads very narrow - should maybe warn people as would not be suitable for younger children /older people etc. Overall, enjoyed our stay at the cottage and would recommend.
Nice, cosy place within a short distance of the coastline; the isle of Angleysey has graet places to discover and many natural diamonds, where only a few people know off. Although a restaurant and road are in front of the property restseakers and those how like beaches ans shorelines will find this a unique place.
A very comfortable cottage. Good location . Had a lovely break walking many of the lovely beaches. Found some good restaurants
Exceeded all expectations, the photos didn't do it justice! The outside area allowed the kids to play safely and the adults the opportunity to relax, taken the views and appreciate the fantastic weather from the well placed areas of raised decking. Access to the beach could not be easier and the locale services just up the road. We all had a great stay.
Beautiful views from the house and access directly onto the coastal path. Was ideal for taking the dogs for a walk first thing in the morning and end of the evening. A middle plank in the back garden fence would make it a bit more dog escape proof, a proper gate is also needed. I used a wind breaker as a temporary gate whilst there. The lack of a freezer although not a major issue would have been useful for re-freezing our cooler bag blocks. The ret of the kitchen is well equipped and has those marvellous views. There is a knack to unlocking the front door from the inside, probably needs lo...more
Excellent price for what is a cottage for five. Enjoyed relaxing break for two in a quiet location. Shop just five minutes across field but need car ti get to get to village (unless prepared for 15 to 20 minute walk). Although near railway not many trains go by and did not really here them. Modern inside and beds comfortable. Owners nearby if needed.
This is a spacious and comfortable house in a great location. Some of the fittings could do with a refit such as the cooker and shower. There is no wifi. The directions are not great and a car with low ground clearance will not get up the farm track without bottoming out.
Although a few hiccups with peeling paint in one bedroom and our arrival not expected due to email problems we had a very enjoyable stay at Dock cottage. The location is wild and beautiful with lovely views from all aspects of its situation with the tide reaching the back of the cottage. Spent hours just watching the variety of bird life feeding their young , exploring the unique Fort and Dinas Dinlle pebbly beach ( more suited to older families). Although isolated in location it was within easy reach by car of Caernarvon and roads to explore North Wales. We will certainly use the cottage agai...more
The cottage and applicances are a bit tired but quaint. The location and setting are excellent and we had a great time crabbing from the jetty most evenings. We marvelled at the Carnarvon and Snowdonian skylines against the evening skies and how the jetty disappeared under the tide each day, to be revealed again each evening. I would recommend staying but feel the property would benefit from a bit of an upgrade - functioning oven (I don't think it ever got up to temperature) and a full digital TV to replace the analogue TV and Freeview set. We had taken Now TV expecting to watch movies a...more
We stayed in a cottage in Fort Belan for a week with a family of 4 (58, 54, 20 and 15 years old). We are campers but our experience with the weather in Wales made us book a cottage for our stay. It served our purpose very well. The surroundings were magnificent. The fort is made into cottages in a very nice way, with a good eye for detail. The housekeeper and the manager were available if you wanted to ask something and easy to talk to. We could see the struggle to keep everything in order. You could see the age of the place coming through. We think it's a big adventure and a lot of work to k...more
A long weekend for 3 couples. Plenty of space, well equipped, near the sea, and close the several pubs and a shop. All bedrooms en suite and all have a TV. We'll be going back for a longer stay next time.
Fabulous view, ideal garden for dogs, super location. Kitchen could have been cleaner. Bedding a bit shabby.
On arriving at the lodge , I went upstairs to look at the bedrooms, and found that all three of the rooms up there, were absolutely infested with flies, (and wasps to a lesser degree), on all of the windows ! When I opened the windows with the intention of letting them out, I was covered with hundreds (and I mean hundreds of flies) ! It took me nearly two hours to initially get them out with a towel and two cans of fly spray ! I had to repeat the spraying every day ! They finally abated after three days, leaving -again hundreds- of dead insect bodies all over the lodge ! My daughters were frig...more
I do not wish to write a review I only wish to complete the survey by typing enough characters into this box.
Our second time there, we will be back again. Only item not given 'Excellent' - Condition - was due to: 1. the side/back gate does not close securely as the bolt barely goes into the hole in the post and it's easy for children to push it open 2, There is a lot of broken wood in the corner of the garden, nearest to the house and this area also leads to a flat roof nest door. Please note that these were just small matters and certainly not enough to spoil our stay. However, any guests with dogs or small children might benefit from these being fixed..
We have been coming here for many years , Wonderful isolation!, Accomodation clean and comfortable but now very expensive for what it is. Owners very helpful and on site.
