Kinlochlaich House is an historic Scottish country house set in its own beautiful gardens on the south facing slopes of the Appin hills, close to sea with views to the mountains. You can stay in self contained apartments in the main house, a cottage in the grounds or a unique award winning eco tree house. The grounds include an octagonal walled garden, tennis court, table tennis pavilion, lawns and a woodland walk.
Weather wise we must have chosen the worst week possible. Apart from one day it rained almost non stop. However when you are staying in a property as unique and wonderful as the Treehouse the weather doesn't matter. We didn't know if we were allowed but we put up a seed feeder for the birds near the apple tree in the garden and within 10 minutes they had found it! It was lovely seeing baby blue-tits and great-tits being fed along with siskins and other finches.
