Six individually furnished cottages located on a riverside farm. Salmon, sea trout and brown trout fishing on our own stretch of the Tweed. All weather tennis court. Excellent walking and abundant wildlife (otters, badgers, deer and fantastic variety of birds) all on the farm. Five minutes drive from historic Berwick-upon-Tweed and excellent beaches. Holy Island of Lindisfarne, Alnwick, Cheviot Hills and Scottish Borders towns all within 45 mins drive.
We had a fantastic week break as a family.
We enjoyed the peaceful surroundings of the cottage, nature, surrounding areas to explore, walks from the cottage, the cottage itself especially the humongous bed, tennis court, basically everything.
We all relaxed and spent quality time together. Bonus that we could also share it with our family dog.
Carol was very warm and welcoming.
An extremely well presented cottage on a working farm overlooking the River Tweed. Well equipped, clean, warm with storage heaters and log burning stove, spacious shower and small garden with convenient parking the cottage provides an ideal base for exploring the magnificent beaches of north Northumberland, the Cheviot Hills and Scottish borders. Within easy reach of St Abbs, Lindisfarne, Bamburgh Castle, the Farne Islands and the superb ruin of Dunstanburgh Castle many relaxing days were spent absorbing the scenic beauty and wildlife of this natural and undeveloped part of the world.
