The website doesn't do this justice, the cottage is stone walled, stone floor, beams upstairs and down stairs an original wood burning fire all set in a beautiful location. Tranquil an escape from everyday life a place to recharge your batteries. Carol is very friendly, she explained about the area and information leaflets are in the cottage.I thought the flowers when you walk into the cottage is a lovely touch. The cottage is very clean and well equipped everything is there to make your stay perfect.
Stayed in Shepherd's cottage with 4 generations of the family ranging from 4-91. All really enjoyed our stay and the cottage was perfect, comfortable, accessible and plenty of room for the children with the safe garden an added bonus!
Will definitely consider returning.

Have stayed in all the cottages at various times over the years. We keep going back because it's such a beautiful, peaceful place to stay. The cottages are all well equipped and every comfort catered for. They are always spotless clean which is very important to me.Carol and Sandy and the rest of the family always offer a very warm welcome and will go the extra mile to ensure you have a good stay. They were in full swing with lambing and we were encouraged to pop into the lambing sheds to see what was going on if we wanted.Even though they were so busy they still spared the time.Would definitely re...more
