Six individually furnished cottages located on a riverside farm. Salmon, sea trout and brown trout fishing on our own stretch of the Tweed. All weather tennis court. Excellent walking and abundant wildlife (otters, badgers, deer and fantastic variety of birds) all on the farm. Five minutes drive from historic Berwick-upon-Tweed and excellent beaches. Holy Island of Lindisfarne, Alnwick, Cheviot Hills and Scottish Borders towns all within 45 mins drive.
We have stayed at these cottages before and have always enjoyed our visit. The grandchildren always ask to come back here. It is very relaxing as well as plenty of places to visit nearby. This year we had the best weather ever.
Absolutely excellent location both to stay at and also explore the surrounding areas. We have stayed here a number of times and every holiday has gone far too quickly. The fact that their are no neighbours and you are much closer to nature make this a perfect spot for relaxing. Carol Lang, Sandy and Jim are the easiest people to deal with and they do all they can to make you stay as comfortable as possible. I would not hesitate to recommend a stay at south Bells to anyone, you will not be disappointed and if you do go please say hello to the otters for us.
We have visited on many occasions and never been disappointed. The location is superb and all the cottages are fully equipped with everything you need.Always beautiful bed linen and towels. You are always greeted with a very warm welcome and Carol and Sandy are always on hand for anything you need.Would certainly recommend staying at West Ord.We have told many people about the little gem and they too have not been disappointed.Could stay again and again.
Great cottage in a lovely place. Peaceful & remote but ideal for our needs. Comfortably furnished, shame we couldnt stay longer. Brilliant place to go with a dog, unfortunately had to leave ours behind!
This was our 2nd visit to West Ord. It meets our need as we require ground floor level access accomodation. It's position is ideal for my husband to have an early morning walk. Its location allows access to Northumberland, scottish borders and Edinburgh and it's very peaceful and quiet. We would visit again if it continued to meet our access needs. We would recommend to others. Great value for money if you visit when it's not school hols in Scotland.
