The Forge has a spacious comfortable lounge with huge inglenook fireplace, wonderful on a chilly evening. French doors lead into a pretty garden. Fully equipped kitchen, upstairs a full bathroom with bath and overhead shower a twin bedroom, single bedroom and en-suite master King size bedroom. Small balcony accessed from the mater bedroom is the perfect place for a quiet nightcap.

The Forge is set in an idyllic location with perfect access to the Camel estuary coastline. The property itself is well equipped and very charming and comfortable. We throughly enjoyed our stay at Forge and will certainly return.

This was our second, but certainly not our last stay.

Wonderfully comfortable, lovely hosts and great spot to explore coast and countryside.

We had a great week at Rooke Cottages.
Accommodation in the Forge had everything that we needed. Our dog Poppy loved the large garden to play in.
This was our second visit and felt so welcome by the owners.

Ideally situated for exploring this sector of the North Cornwall coast. The accommodation is well furnished and comfortable with a lovely garden complete with sunloungers.
We were a party of 5 (grandparents, parents and 6 month old baby) and had plenty of space. We were able to balance eating out with self catering meals in a well appointed kitchen. Facilities include fridge, freezer, washer and tumble dryer. The lounge is spacious and there are lots of games provided. The bathrooms are luxurious with an ample supply of hot water and the beds very comfortable. The hosts are delightful people. What more could you want as the basis for a perfect holiday.

Our stay at the Forge was fabulous. Lovely cottage with a beautiful garden, set in gorgeous grounds. The owner was always around if you needed any help with anything, including his lovely little dog Darcy, who our youngest son absolutely adored!
Only a few minor suggestions would be to put a blind over the skylight window in the main bedroom...it was very bright in the morning, the large sofa in the lounge seemed to have its back cushions missing which made it very difficult to get comfy in and to get out of, and it could do with a few more utensils in the kitchen, such as some tongs and maybe one more set of plates so the dishwasher wasn't constantly having to be used.
We really wouldn't hesitate in staying there again and to explore more of the beautiful surrounding area.

We ended up staying here by a twist of fate. A swarm of bees got into our Duchy cottage the day before our holiday, and they worked some magic behind the scenes with Rob and Gill so that we could still come to Cornwall. Wow! Truly delighted to stay at Forge. Beautiful property, lovely location, utter bliss. We will definitely be returning. I can't recommend more highly.

We were delighted on our arrival to be greeted with cream tea in the cottage. Everything else was beautifully prepared and laid out for us. The house has a lovely big living/dining kitchen with a huge inglenook fireplace at the end which we lit and enjoyed every evening, and three nice sized bedrooms and two bathrooms. It also has its own garden and can connect to other cottages where our friends were staying, which was perfect for our group. We enjoyed Wadebridge and the Camel trail, Padstow, and Polzeath beach all nearby. The only low spot was when the boiler broke down- unfortunately dousing us in cold water showers just after we had braved the freezing sea, but this was quickly rectified by the owners. Highly recommend!

We first visited Rooke Cottages 37 years ago and have returned almost every year. That says it all. Rob and Gill go the extra mile to ensure a comfortable and memorable stay. A tranquil and peaceful location yet close to all the popular beauty spots around the camel estuary and a few secret places you will discover and love. Thank you. We are back in August.

A beautiful well equipped cottage in an ideal location to reach many of the areas attractions, beautiful beaches, and the coast path. Lovely play park and hosts were around but not intrusive.

We have visited Rooke Cottages annually for a number of years and have stayed in Forge on a number of occasions. Forge wraps its arms round you as soon as you walk in. It is a lovely cottage that has all the necessary home comforts and this year we were delighted to have Netflix and other smart TV accessories. Given the Covid 19 restrictions we really enjoyed staying int the cottage in the evenings enjoying take-aways from Padstow and Wadebridge. The Forge had beautiful new carpets and we really loved the refurbished ensuite. HIgh quality bedding and towels are provided for everyone and spotless white goods in the kitchen and all the things you need to cater simply at the cottage.

We always feel so sad to leave beautiful Rooke Cottages - you have a beautiful garden to sit in and enjoy the fabulous Cornish fresh air and nearby in Spring the field with the chickens and sheep and new borne lambs make it all feel totally idyllic.

We’ve stayed at Rooke Cottages for many years with varying members of the family and friends - each time and each cottage has been perfect and meant a wonderful stay. Rob, Gill and Jenna and their helpers are on hand and very helpful but unobtrusive and make the stay very special.

Marvellous walks nearby and around their farm and very easy access to all the lovely beaches and restaurants nearby.

Brilliant place to stay and immaculate and superbly furnished and well equipped - we come back again and again. Thank you

We had a fantastic stay at Rooke Cottages. We were in the Forge. Well kept and very clean. Lovely area and setting. Peaceful and quiet. Lovely garden where the owners two dogs , Darcy and Beau would visit. Had some great games with Beau and a stick!
Nice Pub nearby. Food ok , but not amazing. Overall, can not fault Rooke Cottages, and very highly recommend you go and have a fabulous time!

We regularly stay at Rooke Cottages when we visit family in the area and it continues to live up to very high standards. The cottages are comfortable, well equipped and extremely well maintained. The cottages have been sympathetically converted and laid out to provide excellent accommodation for families or couples. Beds are super comfortable and bathrooms are modern and well designed for tight spaces. The owners could not be more helpful and friendly - there if you need them and low profile if you don't.

We spent the second of two weeks at Rooke in Forge cottage . Rob and Gill were really great ( as always ) in helping with the transfer from Honeysuckle to Forge . It’s a wonderful cottage with lots of space and facilities but also a really warm and cosy atmosphere . The garden is another extra bonus . If you want to treat yourselves to a fabulous break you can’t go wrong with a break in Forge regardless of the weather ( which luckily was also very kind to us ) We. Will be back !

So much attention to detail and really welcoming hosts. Brilliant play area and children loved being on a farm. Excellent store room/drying area with everything needed for beach. Beautiful garden and really peaceful. We hope to return next year!
