Our third year on the trot here. We absolutely love coming to Gap Cottage. If you’re looking for all mod cons this isn’t for you, but if you want to get away from modern life this will be perfect for you.

We love Gap Cottage - we stay here every year. It's cosy, has everything we need including comfortable beds. The location and views are amazing and there are local amenities closely enough if you are driving.

After many years visiting the Duddon valley this was our first time in Wasdale. Rather chilly for June - 12 to 13 in the daytime. The heating and fire were needed but not too much.
The cottage is great in every respect.

We managed 2 fells and several walks.
There is a path marked on the OS map from the house. I’m not sure that it exists. But not a bother.
Loved the swifts and swallows.

Excellent and extraordinarily quiet and picturesque location.
Conveniently located for pubs and restaurants in Nether Wasdale and Gosforth.
The cottage is well equipped and has a cost wood burner.
