West Cottage is the first of the three simple, traditional farm cottages at Hendersyde. A peaceful retreat in a quiet country setting, where wonderful views stretch across the Tweed Valley to The Cheviot Hills in Northumberland. We offer a couple's discount for 2 people sharing a bedroom. Your dog is welcome too.

We have stayed with Sue at Hendersyde for many years. Its always a joy to return. Set on a quiet farm, but close to Kelso and its amenities.
Well equipped if you want eat in, but some great dog friendly places to eat nearby.
A warm welcome from Sue, inc eggs, milk and cakes.

Quiet, nice walks ans good food.

We have stayed at all of the holiday cottages offered by Hendersyde Farm a number of time over the past several years.
A holiday there is something we look forward to knowing that the location is peaceful,beautiful, and well situated for visiting other interesting sites in the Scottish Boarders.
Added to that is the nearby historic town of Kelso where there are ample shops and cafes to enjoy.
Finally I would say, go see for yourself and I would be very surprised if you where disappointed with your visit.

Highly recommendable. Home-to-home cottages ("West" and "Southsyde") on a working farm yet total privacy and tranquiity. The larger and grander cottage/house ("millsyde") sleeping a maximum of six, a bit over half a mile from the main Hendersyde farmhouse, is in a league of its own and even more highly recommendable.
Host Sue is extremely kind and accomodating.

We think the title says it all, as we have been enjoying and exploring the Scottish borders for the last 34 years and having found Hendersyde cottages in the first year as a base, we have not had to look elsewhere! The accommodation and the hospitality has been second to none! After a long day’s walking with our dogs it is always good to know that you can relax in a “Home from Home”.

Lovely cottage, all you could want in terms of amenities, peace and quiet, and location.
Sue is always a very welcoming host but also leaves you in peace whilst being on hand if any queries or problems arise.

Thank you very much for your kind review Glyn. You certainly had a busy break, Barter Books in Alnwick, Holy Island, Dunbar, Gullane beach and closer to home the Knowes for coffee and a wander beside the Tweed!
