On the first floor there is also an additional smaller room with a travel cot, the perfect place for peace and quiet for an infant to slumber.

This family friendly Cabin has a ground floor shower room with flushing WC & sink as well as a wet room with flushing WC & sink on the first floor. There is also a utility room at the back of the property, the perfect place to store those muddy boots or dry those wet paws.

We booked this place for our Christmas holiday for £1000+. We had it booked for over a year and were really excited but our excitement was dulled almost immediately after arriving. The owners communication was very abrupt before & during stay which made me feel like I was being watched the whole time and was walking on eggshells as I was just worried I’d upset them somehow- For example: towards the end of our stay my goddaughter accidentally knocked a plate off the side so I swiftly messaged the owners to make them aware and offered to send them the money there and then. They read my message and ignored it completely.

A few more of the issues we had are as follows:
The AGA stove was left on before we arrived so it was dangerously hot- luckily my husband is an ex chef and checks out the kitchen straight away but it could have easily been reached by my goddaughter which could have seriously injured her

The listing says pet friendly but doesnt mention that they are not allowed upstairs at all- but also doesn’t have a stairgate or anything to stop them from going up so I have 0 idea how they can allow up to 4 dogs?

Along with this, The garden is not enclosed and is not safe. There is a waterfall running through the back of the property by the kids play area which is completely open meaning my dog or the children could easily fall in!!!
The area is also not safe/secure as there is a forested walkway leading from behind the kids play area and there are no steps up to/from the play area either. This forested area has loads of spiky trees & god knows what else. This made our stay not worth the money as we couldnt enjoy the outdoors area fully without stressing and my dog had to be on lead the whole time as I was worried she would hurt herself or fall in the water.
The kids play area is also situated on a slight hill area which then has the waterfall at the bottom of it so god forbid it our goddaughter fell she could fall into it!

The back door and door leading from the bedroom are stuck and wont open- which in the case of an emergency is really dangerous as we only have one exit.

The back of the property had loads of poo in it that wasn’t from our dog- I understand this is down to the individual dog owners to take care of but that is the reason for a security deposit right?

I would recommend a path or steps up to and down from as I slid a few times. I would also recommend that an extra fence & gate gets added behind the property as the first half of the property seems secure enough but not in a million years would I let my dog off knowing that whole back part is open & there with the stream etc. and from being part of the dog community I dont know another owner who would. So maybe just an extra fence before the grass area behind the property.

There was hairs found in our bed sheets- possibly body hair but also could have been pet hair as they were small and black. i would have expected clean sheets at least especially since I was sleeping upstairs where there shouldnt be any dogs. So I cant let my dog up but I can lie in a random dogs hair.

The smart meter was left on the side the whole week so spent the whole time worrying we were using too much electric or costing the owners too much

The toilets were leaking at the bottom so both bathrooms smelt strongly of urine and were just really unpleasant.

We are extremely gutted as our Christmas holiday we’ve been waiting for was a let down. I would have messaged the owner but I felt like i couldn't as any time I did message felt like I was a nuisance. We wouldnt stay again and wouldn’t recommend. We feel this property is a bit of a let down compared to the others we have stayed at from Holiday Wales.

We had the best week at Pines Pitch, the lodge was lovely and clean when we arrived and we even had milk left for us , tea, coffee, sugar, some treats as well which was an added bonus that the kids all enjoyed!

The grounds are beautiful, the kids loved exploring the woods and playing in the playground, the hot tub was perfect for all of us to relax in!

It was our first time here and we can’t wait to come back!

Myself and my husband stayed for 4 nights with our dog to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary. The property is impressive with lots of space and land, our dog really enjoyed the little woodlands behind the cabin.

While the location is lovely and picturesque, surrounded by greenery and farm animals, it is a bit of a drive from the nearest town (around 20-25 minutes). We didn't mind this though as the drive was lovely and scenic with no traffic (apart from sheep in the road!).

We had an issue with the hot tub on the first night as it hadn't been cleaned. Within an hour of texting the owners someone came out to clean it but we weren't able to use it until the next day. It wasn't a particular warm hot tub either, I noticed a side panel was hanging open so it wasn't being insulated properly so perhaps that was the issue? On our last night the hot tub was too cold to use which was disappointing. Perhaps an upgrade is needed.

The cabin itself was very spacious for the 3 of us and was very clean, despite the outside looking a bit worn. It could do with a lick of paint and a couple of the paving slabs on the steps had come loose which could cause an accident if not careful.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet and slow break away.

If you’re after peace and quiet, this is the place to do it. We needed a break from our very busy lives to re charge our batteries and we certainly did,From the moment we arrived to the time we had to leave. The beds were VERY comfortable, and had the best week’s sleep in a long time. It’s a shame we had to leave, we will be returning in the future.

The pros:
On arrival inside the cabin was lovely and clean, although it does require some tlc in certain areas.
The garden was very secure, so our dogs could run around freely.
The views are amazing and the place is very relaxing.

The cons:
The hot tub was quite dirty and one of the filers was covered in dirt, so I’m not sure when it was last cleaned.
The outside garden table and chairs were covered in a green residue, which meant you couldn’t use them.
The kitchen was missing some utensils, such as a tin opener and chopping board, so it meant that the food I had planned to cook for my baby couldn’t be used.
Inside the kettle was covered in lime-scale
and looks like it has never been cleaned, so we didn’t use it.
The ice maker on the freezer was covered in old food and dirt on the inside, so we didn’t use it.

For the price we paid, we did enjoy our stay but I wouldn’t pay any more than £500 for a weekend. The cabin really needs a deep clean inside and out.
