This is our 2nd stay in seascape and we'll definitely be back. The lodge is super comfortable with everything you need. The views are superb and as soon as you come through the door you relax! 2nd time staying at Gatehouse Luxury lodges, this time at Cairn Dyke. Same glorious views, beautiful, comfortable lodge with every amenity needed for our week’s stay. The location is ideal for travelling throughout Dumfries and Galloway, but there are so many beach and countryside walks and variety of towns to visit close to the property too. Lots of choices for eating out and lots of great local produce available if you want to eat in. We love Loch Arthur Farm Shop. The space within the property and the walk-in shower are great for our elderly parent who has mobility issues and uses a walk...more
A very comfortable lodge with beautiful views out the panoramic windows. Everything had been thought of to give an enjoyable stay. My only slight grievance would be a lack of a shower basket or holder in the en-suite. It meant continual bending to retrieve containers. Otherwise a really lovely , quiet holiday retreat.
Our stay was spoilt a bit because of the abundance of house flies. The provided fly zapper worked but was not enough. We didn’t have this problem with our previous stay in Seascapes. Maybe it was because it was pet friendly.
