Big and roomy everywhere, simply styled, some sea views upstairs, with a fabulous play room, peacocks and hens live in the garden and terrace. Next door a honey and flower farm. Beaulieu, a 3 minute drive west, wild swim at Lepe 3 minutes south.

Lovely house with everything we would want. The house is great for kids with lots of toys, appropriate beds and dining stuff. Note that the stairs are steep and a bit slippery wood so you might want a stair gate if have younger kids.

We had a most enjoyable four night stay at Furzedown. The property was perfect for our four generation family stay. Bedrooms downstairs were perfect for great grandma. We particularly enjoyed the spaciousness which was ideal for our lively three grandchildren.

The new forest just on the doorstep was ideal and the younger generations enjoyed exploring on bikes hired in Lyndhurst. It would be good to visit in spring / summer months and enjoy the patio space.

We all loved seeing the peacock and it was a pleasure to wake up and see the deer grazing in the garden.

The playroom was a huge success and we were entertained with theatre shows accompanied by drum rolls !!

Group of 4 adult couples. There was plenty of space and the property was clean and in great condition. Great location, near the New Forest, near the coast and near attractions such as Beaulieu. We spent very little time driving and a lot of time relaxing, drinking, eating and chatting.

We had a very happy time at Furzedown Farm. The children loved the playroom and the Peacock. There is plenty of space inside and outside and we made good use of the pizza oven and outdoor seating. The weather was good so we were able to use the balcony of the top living room too - good for a quiet reading spot. And we loved opening the bifold doors so that the kitchen was completely open to the garden. A great house for families. Comfortable beds and a bathroom each. Luxury.

From my first enquiry New Forest Escapes were very helpful with the choice of accommodation, making sure that the property met all the family’s needs. We are 8 adults and 3 children (4 and 3 years old and 21 months). We booked Furzedown Farm and weren’t disappointed.
The house is very spacious, lovely and bright. Well equipped kitchen and diner became family central.. huge space for chefs, washer-uppers, children and dogsbodies!
Bathrooms are modern and showers powerful with loads of lovely hot water.
Bedrooms are excellent, very comfortable beds and bedding.
We didn’t use the dining table upstairs but the comfy lounge was a great space to unwind when the children were asleep.
Playroom was great - especially the disco ball and lights.
Garden is also huge and ideal for hide and seek.
We visited The Travellers Rest which was a great pit stop before the house was ready as we arrived early.
Lovely trip on the Hythe train and ferry which was about a 30 minute walk away.
We were blessed with sunny October days…swimming, sunbathing and sandcastle building at Avon beach (40 mins drive) ticked all our boxes.
Lepe beach is nearer and if you walk along to the left of the beach, sandy/shingle areas are also lovely.
Our last day took us to Brockenhurst, where the children played happily in the stream then lunch at The Snakecatcher before we headed home.
Altogether a great holiday. Thanks Furzedown!

We have just returned from a wonderful week away, with our family, 9 of us in total. The house was very spacious & spotlessly clean, the beds were so comfortable. The music room was brilliant, and provided lots of entertainment for us all. Loved seeing the peacocks too.
We have one niggle, with our youngest grandaughter 22 mths old, the addition
of child stair gates would d be a major advantage.

We were a family group of 10 ranging from 6 months 90years. The property was excellent, very spacious, both inside and out and was light and airy. The five bedrooms were all a very good size with two very spacious en suite master rooms. The house has four lovely modern bathrooms which made life very easy with a large group. We had everything we needed and the young children had a fabulous time with the playroom/music room. We loved the big open kitchen and dining room looking out into the garden with the bifold doors. All in all the house was perfect for our group. We had fun watching the peacocks, although they are very noisy! (Thanks for the warning) Location we found really good for new forest access, Lepe country park, Beaulieu are very close. Only thing missing was an espresso machine, so we took own own.

The property was very nice however there were cobwebs everywhere that had not been cleaned before our arrival. Literally everywhere! In addition, the towels smelt of damp and we were not told that there was a pizza oven on site.

Despite the above it was a very tranquil home and we were able to enjoy our stay.

We stayed at Furzedown Farm house for a week, three families with toddlers and babies. We had a wonderful week. The farmhouse is beautiful and has plenty of space to accommodate different ages. It was clean, well equipped and very comfortable to stay in. We spent a lot of time on the terrace and garden. The children loved playing there and the views were great. Really useful to have parking for 3 cars. Great location for getting out about about to see the forest. We would love to stay again! Thank you.

We had a fantastic May weekend at Furzedown Farm House in the New Forest.

The accommodation is immaculately presented, everything was just as in the photos, the garden is absolutely beautiful (and we were blessed with good enough weather to use it), the location is great (went to Beaulieu on the Saturday, Brockenhurst on the Sunday), we had the Traveller's Rest pub just a few minutes walk away, it was all really easy to arrange, and - considering the quality of the accommodation, and that we got the third (Sunday) night included for no extra charge - really quite reasonable price-wise.

Basically: top-notch, couldn't have been better.

We stayed at Furzedown for 5 days and had the most wonderful time. The house was spotlessly clean, well appointed and so very spacious and comfortable. The children LOVED the playroom with all the toys, dress up, mini theatre and drum kit and didn’t want to leave! The garden is beautiful and seeing the peacocks every day (plus an array of other birds) was such a treat. We definitely will be back and highly recommend this house.

The house ensured our family gathering was a great success with plenty of space, light, well equipped and with lots of games, books and toys. Ample parking and the large garden were appreciated and the peacocks made the place special.

We needed a place to stay with our family of ten; with the ages ranging from 5 to 76!
When we searched for accommodation we found this wonderful house in a magnificent area close to the two attractions suitable for all the family.
When we arrived the children's excitement knew no bounds. They were thrilled with the games room and spent many happy hours in there .As for the adults after looking around the house we were all very impressed with the facilities. the welcome pack and the layout of the premises. During our stay we did not have any issues of any sort.
It was a lovely garden allowing all the children to play safely outside, and they also enjoyed watching the peacocks.
We would like to thank all the staff who were very helpful in making this a memorable weekend holiday.

Plenty of space for our family birthday party with a wonderful music/ playroom for the little ones.
Basil the peacock was very friendly. Lots of wild life to view from the garden with a honey farm next door selling locally made honey and scented candles - ideal for presents

We recently stayed at Furzedown house and what a great find it was! It was spotless and had absolutely everything we needed for a stay. We were a group of 3 families (11 in total) with different ages and it catered for all with plenty of space. Just on the edge of new forest so didn’t need to travel far for amazing walks. Cannot fault the house and would love to stay again.

Perfect house for a weekend away with the girls to escape the children and husbands for a couple of days. The house was extremely clean and very spacious. We could not fault this house in anyway. The beds were so comfortable, kitchen table an excellent size for what we needed and the sofa was amazing to relax on. The welcome pack we received was also fantastic. Could not recommend this house enough. Great communication from New Forest Escapes too who went above and beyond to ensure we had a great weekend. We will certainly be using this company again.

Lovely Farmhouse, plenty of space inside and out for our elderly family party of 8 people. Quiet location for peaceful calm days enjoying the wildlife and woodland environment. Good local pubs and restaurants as well as local attractions.

My family and I had a lovely time. The house and grounds are very spacious and perfect for a young family or two. My boys who are 3 really enjoyed their time and spent a lot of it in the play room or runnning around in the garden. Beds were super comfortable and honestly didn't want to leave in the end. You're a nice walk into hythe that is a safe walk for kids (paved 98% of the way) and there is a neighborhood pub right behind the house. 100% recommend and are already considering booking again for next year. :)

We arrived at about 4 o'clock. The house is very spacious and set in a large garden. We enjoyed a relaxing 5 days, visiting local areas and the new forest. The house is very modern and all bathrooms are well thought out. The kitchen has everything needed with plenty of space for shopping. The box on the terrace had badminton, archery and a few other games. The peacocks and hens visited every day, wandering around their home. The parking area is sufficient for three cars. It would have been nice to be able to fence in the children as it is open to the road at the entrance, but this seems to be a work in progress which will probably be ready for the next season. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable week.

What a super place to get the family together for a holiday & we were so lucky with gorgeous weather! The house was well located for lots of day trips and a great place to come back to after a long day out, well appointed with everything we needed & more, the little ones loved the music room!
The peacocks make quite a racket so be prepared for morning coffee on the balcony, slightly earlier than planned!!!

What a fantastic property for large family gatherings. We loved the fact that everyone could have some privacy with large bedrooms and impeccable bathrooms - almost all of them being ensuite or immediately next to the bedroom.
Living space was wonderful and the playroom perfect for kids!
Also loved the garden - maybe the house could benefit from a large outside dining table and more modern BBQ facilities but that’s really minor comments compared to the house quality and overall service from new forest.

The house was lovely. The garden was great. The location was pretty good. Small improvements could be made, a bedside table and light on both sides of the beds would be good. But that's just a small niggle.

We stayed in Fursedown Farm House over Easter. There were 2 families with 4 children in total (aged between 8 and 12) and the house was perfect for us. Really spacious, beautifully furnished and loads of outdoor space. The resident peacocks and pea hens were a particular delight and greeted us on arrival :o)

In terms of location, it's not central like Brockenhurst and we had to jump in the cars or hop on the bikes to get anywhere but that was fine and it was only a 10 minute drive from the start of the New Forest and the beach, so everything was accessible.

We stayed at the house last weekend and had the most perfect time. We were 7 adults and 3 children and the house suited us all. The cleanliness was the best I've ever seen in a holiday home and the playroom with drum kit, piano, guitars and fancy dress and toys was the icing on the cake. For a group of musicians and musicians children...what more could you want! The kitchen had everything you could need to make any meal and the dining table(s) were large enough to cater for all!
We spent the day at Peppa Pig world which was a 15 - 20 minute drive away and the following morning we had a show from one of the peacocks in the garden for hours on end - as though he was performing for us - what a treat!
We will certainly be booking again soon!

Stayed for a weekend with my family and we all loved this house. We loved the location as it was easy to get to where we wanted to go, we loved the house which was huge and immaculate with super cosy beds, we loved the music room which kept our son entertained for hours, we loved the views of the gardens with the huge variety of birds and being able to see the Solent, we loved the extremely thoughtful welcome pack provided by Ben and Lucy containing local honey which was delicious but most of all we LOVED the peacocks that roamed around freely around the outside of the house and came to see us every single morning!

Spacious house that feels recently refurbished, perfect for our week in the new forest with friends. We did a lot of cooking and the kitchen is very well equipped with everything you might need. Lots of room to relax, comfy sofas and we enjoyed the music room too! Location is on the edge of the new forest and only a short drive to shops. Would definitely recommend!

12 of us, 8 adults and 4 children, enjoyed a very comfortable stay over a long weekend. The rooms and facilities were just right for the needs of the different age groups of our party, from senior citizens to toddlers! We loved the spacious rooms and the immaculate bathrooms. The children very much enjoyed the garden, playing games of cricket and trying out the archery set, and observing the peacocks and guinea fowl. For them the toys and instruments in the music room were an added bonus. New Forest Escapes were very helpful in every way and we followed up their suggestions to explore Lepe beach, Beaulieu and Bucklers Hard. Thanks for a great stay!
