We had a team of 5 people working in Ashford for 5 weeks. They stayed at Lacton Manor Barns for the entire job. The accommodation was very comfortable, well maintained and made a great 'home away from home'. The hosts were also very helpful and easy to work with. We will definitely look at returning again next year.
Had the most wonderful weekend here. The location is perfect with view of the lighthouse. Felt so peaceful, isolated, cosy - in all weathers. Check in and check out was seamless. Could not recommend more. Will be back.
We have just spent a long weekend at this fabulous house. The views and location to the beach are spectacular. The house is perfect and every room is beautifully decorated and well thought out. The kitchen was better equipped than my own. We will definitely be returning!!
Beautifully presented historic building, rural location, personal touches. Made me feel very special!
We had a fantastic stay at The Bull Pen. It's a clean, modern and spacious property situated within wonderful surroundings. As we stayed during Christmas, the underfloor heating was most welcome and the beds were very comfortable. The complimentary Christmas Panettone was a lovely touch! There is also an adjoining property with the same layout, which have interconnecting gardens. We will defintley book again and whole experience with Bloom Stays was great. Thank you.
This was a little gem of a place, beautifully decorated and very comfortable and nice touches with the Cava etc,Very quiet and close to all amenities, wouldn't hesitate to book again
Little Lark is exactly as pictured and provides a lovely & relaxed space to unwind and enjoy the delights of Camber Sands and nearby Rye. We booked an early-in-the-year short stay expecting the weather to be poor but knowing wet and windy weather doesn't stop us enjoying the fresh air and long walks along the beach and around the dunes with our dog. Little Lark is 3 minutes from the beach and perfect for our dog as the garden is enclosed. The doors to the fabulous outdoor space makes the garden feel part of the house. We thoroughly enjoyed using the hot tub in the rain on the occasional time w...more
Wow, what a stay! The barn is beautiful throughout and so well equipped, the owners have clearly put a lot of thought into what to provide their guests. The welcome basket of essentials was a such a lovely touch and really set the tone for a great stay. The area is quiet and peaceful but only a short distance to a couple of really lovely country pubs. Would love to stay again!
We had a lovely stay at Bedgebury Oast, the house was wonderful and in a very secluded and pretty location. The house had everything you could need and we really appreciated the little basket of goodies left for our arrival. A wonderful well kept house that has been maintained exceptionally well. Bloom Stays were excellent in making sure we were taken care of and accommodating our requests. Would not hesitate to book again
The property and gardens are beautiful and from the moment we arrived, we started to relax. Thank you to the owner for being so helpful and we would definitely stay again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We had a fantastic stay at Pheasants Lodge. Immaculate annexe, really well equipped and has plenty of provisions. Very clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed for a beautiful and comfortable stay. The host was very friendly, and available to help if needed.
We booked The Coach House for a family weekend. The criteria for the location was to be as central as possible for everyone to travel to and it was perfect. So close to the motorway but at the same time in the middle of the countryside. We were planning to visit other places but the walks without getting in the car were ideal. The house itself has to be the best equipped house I have stayed in, the hosts have literally thought of everything. We made use of some of the games and enjoyed the dressing up box and photo frame! The garden is so good for younger children from the lovely tree house ...more
Beautiful location overlooking rolling countryside with walks from your doorstep. This dog friendly cottage definitely feels like a home not a holiday rental. The Photographs do not do the property justice. Bushes Oast is beautifully laid out as well as decorated to a very high standard. The bedrooms would definitely suit two couples or a family and it is laid out as two separate suites. Either feeling like the master bedroom. I'm very fussy and always ask about the age of the mattresses and bed lining, at Bush Oast not only were the beds really really comfortable, but the linen was beautifu...more
Second visit. Fabulous location and managed to get in to visit the nearby lighthouse. Kite flying great as so windy! The cottage is cosy, well equipped and comfortable with great log burners which were appreciated on the windy days.
Lovely accommodation located within the grounds of a private home. Hosts provided all the information needed, responded to requests quickly and provided clean, well equipped, quality accommodation. The village is picturesque, and as hikers, it was great to be able to do the Sandhurst/Bodiam Castle circular path, direct from the accommodation. Many more walks nearby too. Our only disappointment was that the village pub (The Swan) is closed, requiring driving to nearby towns for drinks/dinners out. We enjoyed our stay, and would stay here again when we return to the area.
I would highly recommend Bloom for their warm, friendly and efficient customer service. The property itself was beautiful - particularly the court yard - and with the gorgeous weather we felt we were in the south of France! One recommendation would be deep shaded black-out blinds for the bedroom attached to the sitting area. A security light was on overnight from a nearby property, and with the early dawn light streamed into the room through-out. My friends and I had an amazing time though and wished we had booked for longer. I would like to give a special thanks to Agnes our beauty th...more
We stayed here for my friends hen do, every part of the house was absolutely perfect for it! The dining part of the kitchen was my favourite, absolutely stunning table that everyone could fit around. The bedrooms were comfortable, beautiful and clean. The living spaces were cosy but big enough for us all to fit. The venue was easy to find and had enough parking for us. I wish we had stayed in the summer so we could've used the outside space more as it is amazing! Lovely host that left us some yummy refreshments! Thank you so so much!
Excellent! As a group of 23 we had a fantastic long weekend on the complex, between the main barn, the cottages and the oast we had everything we could have needed and all to a high standard. This is our second time staying at the property and we will be back for a third I am sure!! Thanks for a great weekend
Wow! This venue is absolutely stunning. It was clean comfortable and in a fantastic location with great amenities. I cannot recommend it enough. We had a wonderful long weekend stay and will definitely be returning with the family at some point in the future. Thank you so much again.
We booked to stay here at the last minute due to a change in family plans for Christmas, which had to be relocated entirely. The house is lovely and very well-equipped. Although we didn't attempt Christmas dinner here (we were invited over to our son-in-law's parents), we cooked several meals and iced a Christmas cake during our stay - only slightly thwarted/surprised by not being able to find a sieve for the icing sugar - but there were two whisks and a large mixing bowl in the cupboards. We made regular use of the coffee machine. The Landing is only a few steps away from Hythe High Stree...more
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Dunes. The house and garden have been converted with real attention to detail that sets it apart from many other properties in Camber. It was very comfortable and had absolutely everything we as a family of 6 needed over our Christmas holiday. The open-plan space is great if you are looking to spend family time together.
We had the most perfect stay at the Hayloft and couldn’t have been happier with the house, facilities, location, and welcome from the hosts! The interior is stunning - beautifully decorated, luxurious and comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed too with hot tub towels, cool bags for picnics, charger cables, robes - the owners have really thought of everything you could need. We had amazing weather, and the views from the Hayloft are spectacular. The hot tub is wonderful, there’s a lovely balcony for eating outside, a beautiful open plan kitchen and lounge. It honestly couldn’t have been bet...more
Lovely hosts, great property and location. Double bed and pillows could used some work in terms of comfort.
We had a very comfortable stay, the cottage was clean and well equipped. We were lucky with the weather, enjoyed the pool and tennis court.
My family loved this stay at The Old Schoolroom. A beautiful house, very comfortable and well equipped with lots of charm and character.
Really enjoyed our stay. Spacious, high quality kitchen area, cosy and comfortable throughout with underfloor heating, comfortable and clean beds, fabulous large shower. Very doggy friendly. The massive patio doors, patio/garden and outdoor furniture really added to our stay, as did the gorgeous uninterrupted views. Loved our trip. Hope to return.
Wave Cottage has been such a wonderful place for us. From a very calm sea and sunny weather to a wild storm that came close to the house! We have never been so close to the sea before - this was the perfect place! We have had such a wonderful time and Sal is a wonderful host. We felt warmly welcomed and loved very much our time here. We have always wanted to be so close to the sea, and falling asleep to the sound of the waves - wonderful! Thank you for everything, we will surely be back another time! M,O & family plus Crisp
Wow, what an amazing barn conversion. This property has everything you need for a fantastic weekend away with friends/family. The house is very well equipped, the cinema room is an absolute dream! We celebrated a 50th birthday and it truly was a special trip. There are soooooooo many positives (spacious, hot tub, electric blinds and windows, log fire, cinema room, stunning views, open plan kitchen area, games room) the only negative is that some of the beds could really do with a mattress upgrade!! A fantastic weekend anyway in a lovely property!
As you arrive down this hidden a way sandy track of a road, rolling along on sandy waves to the most perfect destination. This is the best bit of Camber if like us you want to avoid hilly climbs up sand dunes. It is a flat walk to the beach and takes but a minute. Lark Rise is a tardis of a building, you walk into a huge open plan kitchen, dining, living room. You feel as if you have been transported to Montauk. The peaceful garden has a perfect “end of garden” cabin, a little ( actually not so little ! ) self contained studio. A hot tub bubbling away ready to invite you in. It has eve...more
We really enjoyed our stay at The Gate House. It is in beautiful grounds, and quirky and comfortable inside. A great base to go out for walks from and explore the local area with our spaniel. Well equipped inside to have breakfast and dinners if you so choose. Our spaniel loved her walks at Folkestone Harbour, White Cliffs, lunch at the Marquis of Granby and stretching out on the floor in the dining room. The hosts are friendly and welcoming and have fantastic recommendations.
We had an amazing stay, for over 20 of us it was the perfect house! Spacious, stylish and set up for large groups. The games/ activities on offer were lovely and we made the most of a sunny weekend in the pool! Would highly recommend!
This was a lovely comfortable flat and was a real hideaway enabling a real chance to chill out and do some creative thinking. It is easily walkable from the station and then onto the high street and to the beach. The flat had everything that was needed-was clean and stylishly decorated. The process from booking to access to the property was straightforward and efficient. I look forward to staying again/
We have just had a short weekend break at the Seagulls. The apartment is on the top two floors of an imposing seafront house and has wonderful light and views. Each room is nicely decorated and has large comfy beds. The kitchen is well equipped, including a bottle of welcome wine in the fridge. We will be going back next summer to enjoy more light and hopefully some sunshine.
We've stayed at The Nest before, and on our return we were just as delighted with the cottage as the first time. Everything from the sound of the sea, the birds, the lovely level walk into the village and the location, which makes you feel as though you are in the middle of the country, with the sea on your doorstep, but where you can reach the shops quickly and easily. I had to bring a little work with me, so the wi-fi was particularly useful this time. If I were lucky enough to own my own holiday home, The Nest would be my choice. Small but plenty big enough. A big garden for our pooch...more
Southbeach is such a cosy little flat in an excellent location. Everything you need and even more is there in this well-equipped place. Sal's welcome with flowers, crisps, wine and other goodies is so heart-warming. We're looking forward to our next stay.
Hi. Everything was brilliant apart from the lethal mud getter no to the hut. I appreciate it is a working farm but there needs to be some sort of path to the huts as the mud made it treacherous A small point on an otherwise great experience Thx S
Exquisite, cosy venue in the countryside. The host had thought of everything to make our stay perfect. It was great to see a lamb being born, too!
This was a special trip for me and the host could not have been more welcoming. The apartment is lovely - large, light, very well kept and cleaned. The view is superb and what you see in the photos is only part of it. Perfect, restful and crucially very safe place to stay with lovely walks and loads to do in the area. Great info provided and everything you need. Cannot recommend enough. Thanks for a truly memorable trip. A special place run by lovely people.
What a great find, perfect location by the seaside and easy to walk to local pubs 5 minutes away and then half hour into Folkestone Harbour Arm for food and entertainment. Joanna was a great host and arrival information was perfect, loved hearing a little of the cabins history. We were blessed with he weather so enjoyed many elements of the stay including eating al fresco and a relaxing glass of wine in the swinging seat !! Everything was as described and nice comfy bed made sleeping bliss.
We stayed at the Roost for 2 months and could not have asked for a better place to spend our time in the UK. Carys and Tim were the greatest hosts and made us feel at completely at home. We loved our chats with Carys and Tim who are kind, warm and really the most perfect hosts. The Roost has everything we needed for a longer stay. We were warm and cozy and loved waking up on the farm! We loved the chickens, and looking out over the trees from the bedroom. We found it easy to get to Canterbury and loved the countryside strolls into Wingham! We could not recommend the Roost more. It has ...more
We had a week with our Daughter and family! Great location and the house was well equipped with lots of games for children. We enjoyed long walks and whitstable only being a short drive or reasonable walking distance was perfect. Lovely restaurants and cafes - Jo Jo’s being our last evening meal was excellent. Would come back in a heartbeat.
Great place right in the middle of a field fall off sheep(although they cleared of next day and were seen only in the distance) the new born lambs were in barn and you could feed them plus Larry the lamb was very vocal when you went near and wanted moof bottle. The sheperds hut very good every thing you would need and more plus the staff couldn't have been more helpful.Plenty to do round about although I had trouble contacingt the Jeep safari people they didn't reply when I tried to contact them(twice). All in all a great little break!!
Great place to stay with family. Good and responsive host, good local area. The dove was a short walk, good food but only open a few days a week. So you have to drive everywhere but then it is only 15 mins to many great places
My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 2 Dairy Barn, the barn has been converted to a very high standard and the hosts have thought of every small detail to make it a great experience! The hot tub is a standout feature with a lovely view over the valley, and the welcome pack, log burner with starter logs and large range of kitchen items to use was a great touch, we highly recommend!
Staying at Abbotts Cliff House makes you feel like you've just stepped back in time to a wonderful world of sweeping staircases and breathtaking views. On arrival the owner was warm and welcoming, and the house was spotless and cosy (which was perfect in January). We stayed for 4 nights to celebrate a very late Christmas and it was a truly unique experience for us all. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed and all the beds were comfy. We never did manage to get the TV or DVD's to work (we were there in a middle of a storm) but luckily the kids were happy playing Christmas ...more
We had another lovely stay at Hockley house, our second new year visit. Hot tub great addition. Owner kind and gave a friendly warm welcome. Beautiful location, great for country walks. Thanks for a great stay!
A little windy so we had trouble lighting the stove other than that all was great except the weather
We had such an amazing time staying in the Shepherds huts for the bank holiday weekend. Everything was provided for essentials which was great and useful. The hut is nice and cosy and you can have a bbq outside overlooking the fields with sheep. There’s a lot to do also in the area, we went to all the beaches along the coast, farm shop and aqua park. There’s a lot of nice restaurants and pubs recommended by the owner which we tried and was great! We will definitely be coming back again soon as we had a fab time.
Enjoyed stay - I do not know if have access to tennis if not in main house Lovely stay - could be better shower
To stay in an old railway coach is very special, and Plumcot Halt has been lovingly renovated into the quirky, cosy place it is today. Loved everything about it, comfortable, cosy, with all you need to totally relax. Very well maintained and equipped, especially in the kitchen. Spotlessly clean , very comfortable bed, and crisp bed linen. Pretty outside garden and fruit trees, added to the unique property. Only 20 minute walk to city, and able to walk to the Spifire ground to watch county cricket, {Michael and Theresa routed us across fields, and through orchards - great !!} Hosts so frien...more
Some of the toilets could do with locks! Table tennis was an added bonus! very enjoyable stay - would come again!
What a stunning place and setting. Perfect for exploring Dungeness and the area, great views from all the windows, warm and cosy. I personally didn’t find the settee very comfortable, but managed by making a nest of pillows and cushions. Luckily I was on my own or this might have been an issue. Couldn’t fault anything else, has been done up to an impressively high standard.
We enjoyed a wonderful 4 days at Cornerways over the Easter break. The house is cosy, clean and tidy. The location is superb for exploring Canterbury - we will be back! X
This lovely house worked very well for our family of 15 adults and 4 toddlers/ babes. The main kitchen dining area was where we all gathered and there was plenty of room. The kitchen was very well equipped and we had memorable evenings at that long dining table. There was ample fridge/ freezer space for all the food and drink necessary for such a large party. The living area had enough seating to accommodate us all after dinner and was very cosy. The young ones loved the outdoor area with a few attractions such as the swing etc.
Lovely location, tranquil. Spotless hoise, luxurious feel. Fresh fruit + flowers lovely touch. Beautiful views
Stayed with family for my sons 40th birthday.. The barn is a fantastic place to stay everything you need is provided and nothing is too much trouble our food delivery arrived before us and the girls put it all away for us ..
We had a wonderful stay at Dovetail Cottage. It was beautifully decorated and styled, the location was fantastic. The owner was very friendly and accommodating and provided lots of helpful information. The cottage had everything we needed for a week long stay. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Canterbury!
Gorgeous period property in the heart of West Malling. Had everything we needed for our family of 4. The original features have been preserved beautifully, while modern touches make it functional. The house was larger than expected, and the bright and airy kitchen with direct access onto a quaint garden created additional space to enjoy the evening sun. We’ll return in a heartbeat.
The Dairy is just as the pictures depict - spacious, comfortable and private. It’s been such a lovely stay with a very understanding and easy going owners nearby as well as efficient administrative team from Bloom Stays.
22 of us stayed in this beautiful property for a weekend to celebrate a hen party. John was incredibly accommodating, we travelled from the midlands and he was able to meet a few of the party early to allow access, he was very thorough with instruction and details, he was on hand for everything we needed all weekend and nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation itself was beautifully kept, very clean and had everything you would need for the entire weekend. Compromising of 9 beautifully furnished and decorated large bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms, this really was a girly weeken...more
north vat is a beautiful property which my guests and i enjoyed staying in. there were six people staying at the house, which is probably two too many, and everyone loved the design and the location. every window is like a picture postcard and watching the weather and sky changing around you one of the highlights of the stay.
A big family gathering, 9 adults and 5 kids and the house was absolutely perfect for all of us. So many different rooms to hang out in, a huge garden to run around in, a big kitchen to hang and cook, I would say that the kitchen is missing some key utensils but I spoke to the house manager about that. Walking distance to the beach was perfect too. We all had a great stay and would love to visit again.
The beach house offers more than self catering - little details and touches you would expect in a hotel (choice of pillows, mini body wash / soaps and an array of towels) Superbly equipped for a supper for kings and suitably set up for families to enjoy. The setting on the seafront enjoys the sounds of the waves and passing sunrise and side on sunset glows. The cafes and restaurants are in abundance on foot and we loved the croissants and coffee at Mr Whippets :)
This house was a last minute change to our booking due to circumstances beyond anyone’s control. The house is in an excellent location with simply stunning views & coupled with its extensive facilities makes it a delightful all round place to spend some truly relaxing time.
Celebrating an early Thanksgiving, we wanted a house where our friends could come together, hang out, eat well and make the best of the Kent countryside. At Lower Standen Farmhouse we were all to do and enjoy all of these things. The house has been beautifully restored with the prize going to the wonderful kitchen/dining room. Surrounded by glass overlooking the lush garden, the views and colours are an ever-changing joy with the underfloor heating meaning that we spent most of our time here. No lonely feelings for our chef ..... she probably had more help this year than ever before! Bedrooms ...more
The Custom House was all I had hoped for, there were 16 of us staying on a Pilgrimage from Rochester to Ramsgate. It provided a welcome and comfortable place to stay after long walks.....very well equipped, clean and quiet at night.
We had a fantastic stay at Sunday for my wife’s 50th birthday celebration with two other couples. Can’t beat the location and bedrooms were excellent with loads of room. If I would say what was a little less than perfect was that the dinning area and lounge needed some/more softer chairs to accommodate 6 people. The lounge sofa was far too low and sat 2 and then there was two more soft chairs but we needed 6, so had to bring in two of the less comfortable dinning chairs. Overall it was great and we would certainly consider staying there again in the future.
We loved our stay here and the house was beautifully equipped to cater for all ages from 8 to 78. The sea views were stunning, the house really comfortable and spacious and thoughtfully equipped. Highly recommend if you are looking for a memorable stay for a large group.
Our second stay at Dungeness with Bloom, customer service is second to none, attentive and prompt. The property is easy to find, with parking available. The underfloor heating is wonderful, no need to use the fire! The living area is great as a social area, especially with no TV! There's a shower in one bathroom and a bath in the other. Beds were comfy. Dungeness is beautiful and there's loads to do, Derek Jarman's Prospect Cottage, Lighthouse, Port Lympne, the steam railway, sound mirrors, Martello towers, etc.
We had a wonderful stay at Plum Pudding Cottage. The location is within easy walking distance of three pubs. It is also close to both Whitstable and Canterbury. The kitchen and bathroom are up to date and modern. The rural location is exactly what we were looking for.
Great cosy hideaway. Dungeness is remote and wild. Exactly what we wanted. Radar is stylish and comfortable with a stunning view. The interior has been really well planned and is a stark contrast to the exterior.
This was our second visit to the barn, 12 years after our first and it once again exceeded our expectations. A wonderful idyllic barn set in an ideal location. It was well presented with great facilities. Thank you for making another milestone birthday party with all our family possible!
Amazing cottage right by the sea. Stayed for three nights with my children and mum. It was a dream to be able to sit in the garden right next to the beach while the children played in the beach like it was their own private garden. The house had everything we could need down to blankets and beach towels. It was very comfortable and homely. Only slight issue is the bathroom door was very hard to open once closed maybe something to look into.
We really liked this place - great art on the walls! The shower could be better - but only a minor moan. Waking up in the Watch Tower was peachy ☀️
A beautiful house. We’ve been there with 2 adults and 3 children. Everything is nearby. Like the playfield, little supermarket and the pub. We liked all the colors in the house. The kitchen is comfortabel with a lot of crockery. If I need to give a tip. The only toilet is upstairs. That wasn’t great all time. But we managed. Also the bank in the kitchen is to high for the table.
Such a wonderful place to stay . The house is comfortable and spacious enjoying amazing views . Highly recommend !
Really pleasant stay at Honeywood lodge, the house is well located, the swimming pool is great and it's very easy to deal with the Bloom Stays team!
We really loved staying at Cart Lodge, the cottage is very comfortable and is perfect for a short break. We were left a reallt nice welcome hamper as well, which was amazing. We would love to stay again.
This cottage is in a great location - just a stones throw from the High Street, canal and a short flat walk to the sea (and a small green dog exercise area near the canal). We enjoyed some great eateries over a long weekend and were blessed with sunny (if a little chilly) weather. The bedrooms are huge! The cottage has original doors and windows so noise suppression isn’t great, but the road isn’t terribly busy so all in all didn’t detract too much from the stay (although the heating was essential to help balance out the occasional draughty window). The place was immaculately clean with g...more
I booked this for my partners birthday as he is an avid outdoor person, and I had never tried anything like this before. We were so happy with the location and how quiet it was, the lady that I dealt with was super friendly and efficient and everything was thought of! The day was so perfect and couldn’t have asked for anything more. I would absolutely stay again given its quaint and you can detach from everything. Amazing thank you again!!!
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. La maison est exceptionnellement décorée et c’est un véritable coup de cœur.
Great stay for us and our dogs ( very secure and peace of mind garden) property deceptively spacious and peaceful. Don’t be put off by proximity of the road.
We had a great time at this cottage, just what we wanted, a house in a very quite location but near the city of Canterbury with everything there, the house is very comfortable, loads of couches, a brand new kitchen, and the Hot tub was perfect we all set in in the morning and in the evening, we would love to come back soon.
We love coming back to Crow Cottage. It is cosy, comfortable, well equipped and very quiet. Perfectly located for a range of fabulous dog walks including some right from the front door but dog just as happy chasing around the garden. Booking via Bloom very easy and excellent customer service.
Wonderfull atypical flat in the heart of Canterbury. We couldn't wait better !!!! Everything was perfect : amazing kitchen, helpfull private carpark, cosy rooms, two bathrooms and everything you can need !
Oast Barn Cottage is well located for visiting Kent's attractions and comfortably warm, although one of us found the bed too soft. A particular benefit is the use of a season ticket for the excellent Belmont House and Gardens which is only 5 minutes away by car. The kitchen is small and therefore there is limited crockery-two mugs for example- which we think could be increased with better use of the kitchen storage there is. This means if anything like a mug handle is found to be cracked then whoever is staying needs a replacement promptly to avoid unnecessary inconvenience.
The property and location was lovely. We were 1 bed short 11 beds were available for 12 guests. We arrived at 5pm the office had closed, not a problem with the property but I think this is an issue with Bloom Stays for not letting the house keeper know how many people were staying at the house. I would not re book with Bloom Stays because of this issue.
Craythornes is a beautiful house with masses of character, perfect for a group New Year's Eve celebration. We particularly loved the spacious kitchen, the extremely comfortable beds and the easy access to Dungeness. The owner was incredibly welcoming, helpful and relaxed which we really appreciated, and we had great communication & flexibility from Bloom Stays in the run-up.
We had a really enjoyable stay. The cottage is small but lovely - very comfortable and had everything we needed for a quiet week away from it all. The welcome pack of local cheese, apple juice etc was superb.
We stayed at Cavallo Barn from 25/02 to 17/03 We enjoyed the location, the quite and the kindness of the owners, always there to help. The apartment offered all the amenities advertised and all was in good working order. We would love to have the opportunity to go back one day. S & L Budroni
A lovely getaway for the bank weekend, just to relax and unwind. The delightful cottage was thoughtfully decorated, put us at ease straightaway, with everything in tip top condition. Many attractions were within a short drive away. Great location with plenty to do. We walked to Hythe beach, a short drive to Lower Lea, Camber Sands and Great Stone beach. There were books and games as well, so you could curl up with a book or play board games.
Very well equipped, everything you need for your stay and beyond. Hamper was a lovely and welcome addition. To the provisions provided in the fridge and hamper to the toiletries, the owner really had thought of everything for your stay. Beautiful views of the garden and wood beyond, with wild birds and squirrels, this really is a lovely place to stay.
We had a very peaceful time at Little Sunray. Cosy getaway and very wintery walks with the dog (who loved it).
Very lovely property to stay at, relaxing, especially with the log burner/ fire. Kitchen facilities high quality.
A unique location with outstanding views across the English Channel.. Very comfortable and ideal for a weekend getaway for 2 people. My only criticism is that on arrival the heating was not working and in February, it was very cold. Being underfloor heating was lovely once we got it on, but it took over night and some of the next day to warm the place sufficiently. Also some of the power was off when we arrived. Small table lamps were working, except for one next to the bed, which didn't work at all and plug sockets but everything else was off. There were logs to use on the wood burner but v...more
The house was in need of attention, the blinds were broken, the sofas old and uncomfortable. We were told we could bring our dog only to be told he had to be on a lead at all times even though there was a garden. This meant we had to keep all the doors closed. We walked our 4 year old twins to see the horses to be told they’d better keep away from the fences as they are all electrified.
Stayed for a long weekend for a family rememberance and celebration. Great size house with lovely proportioned rooms that met the needs of all generations. The house was generally clean and well equiped. However, it is in our opinion beginning to appear tired and could benefit from some updateing. For example the towels were all looking slightly grey and quite thin. The sofas in the main sitting room were not very comfertable. Whilst there was plenty of cutlery and crockery not that much mtached and was cheap. The weekend we were there it snowed and was very cold and while there were two log b...more
Return stay to this beautiful cottage. We love it so much. The garden was fantastic. Our toddler spent hours running round. Comfortable sleep and kitchen now has prosecco glasses which I mentioned at last review. Will always stay here and can't wait to book again
We enjoyed our stay at El Ray despite the high winds, spring tides and weather warnings! The house is amazing in it's design and location and the outlook is stunning, but a few things let it down. The bed was really uncomfortable and left me with back ache, the bed linen was clean, but not high end as you might expect for the price of the rental. The lighting in the hall and the bedrooms is low level which means you can't really see what you are doing if you have shoes to put on and bags to unpack. The bathroom need a bit of attention, with a drippy shower and not hygienic with a wooden sla...more
We had another relaxing stay at Bonnington Cottage - our second visit since Christmas! A lovely period cottage with mod cons. The property is easily accessed and situated in the beautiful Kent countryside with plenty of walks within a stones throw. The dogs loved it too! It won’t be long before we’re back there again.
nice apartment , if you like to sleep with the windows open.If you have small children, they may feel the wind coming from the windows. The windows in the apartment are classic wooden and we, who came from Central Europe, felt cool from the windows. Everything else is fine.
Excellent location for a family holiday and Canterbury and surroundings is a beautiful place to visit. The rooms and the dining and sitting room are spacious and comfortable, the place is quiet, there is a nice public garden just bellow . We just had problems with the hot water installation and couldn't use the bathrooms securely and comfortably. I suppose this can be mended and changed so that the place would be perfect. The attendent parking place is a much appreciated.
Is exactly as billed. A stunning location. Always something to watch out of the windows and on the outside decks. I think if there had been a worktop and chairs in the top room (with a foldaway bed) we would have spent most of our time reading and gazing out of the windows - it was a bit chilly to be outside for a long period. Luckily we had taken our thermos flask so had warm drinks up there. We had a wonderful time - thank you. Beverley wanted a seaside location - this could not have been bettered.
