A group of 34 of us spent the weekend at Tom's Eco Lodges to celebrate my husband's birthday. It was fabulous. It absolutely lived up to the high expectations we had. The lodges were warm and dry in the rain (with the help of the wood-fired oven and electric blankets), the hot tubs were much appreciated, and the staff were really helpful and friendly. I can't find a single negative thing to say!
We spent a short 3 nights break at Cottage2 as a family of 4 with two teenage children and had a perfect stay. The cottage is very well located within the premises and offering an easy access to Tarpnell Farm. An easy access to local attractions and local beaches is also a great bonus of the location. Dinner at the Cows restaurant is highly recommend! Very clean and comfortable place, newly refurbished and offering a great space. Very friendly and helpful customer service on site at Tarpnel Farm. The cottage is great value for money-we would love to come back!
We were saved by Chloe as she squeezed us in for the last 5 days of our 14 day holiday on the island. We wished we had found this place earlier! The house was beautiful, brand new, with a lovely kitchen and everything we could wish for. Perhaps a bigger TV if I was being really picky? The farm park was the icing on the cake, my 7 year old adored it, especially the zip wire, jumping pillows and the sledges. It was all so clean and well laid out with great coffee too! The Cow serves good food, we ate there twice, once with friends. My teenagers were desperate to try Aqualand but it wasn’t quite...more
Amazing place to stay with a group of girlfriends. Chloe and the team were very helpful in the lead up to our stay. Very comfy beds and great showers.
We had a great time at the dome despite the rain! It had all the amenities we needed with very cosy furniture. The farm was very helpful with anything we needed and we couldn't have asked for a better stay!
Our holiday was spent in Dome 1 and we will definitely return to this wonderful farm and staff. Superb communications from the very moment we had booked, with reassurances regarding CV19 precautons and considerations. Beautifully clean accommodation which was perfect in size and style for our family of four. Very high hygene standards and guidance in the washrooms. Highly impressive and reassuring stuff in these crazy, scary times. We ate and drank at The Cow which is a teriific joint staffed by well recruited lovely people serving excellent fayre. Congratualtions to you all and thank you ...more
We had the best time at Tapnell Farm. Our kids are 3 and 1 and they loved every minute. The cabin is great. Well kitted out, comfy, cosy and warm. We will be back again!
Really enjoyed our stay and had an excellent experience.. will Definitely recommend to friends .....
We had a lovely relaxing visit. The Dome was brilliant, it had everything we needed and the children had a great time.
Such a lovely place to stay. Cinema room was great fun. All questions dealt with quickly and efficiently before, during and after the stay. Looking forward to going back one day.
Excellent accommodation, well positioned and provided for. Only one small comment made regarding the need for a map to show where bin parks are from the pod itself.
Everything about this place was fantastic. The tent was beautifully furnished and really magical at night with the fire pit going and the fairy lights around the tent. Everyone was warm and cosy - we didn’t need the electric blankets or hot water bottles that were provided, just the stove. The owners have thought of everything. We will definitely be back, highly recommended. Thank you!
Superb communication, the kids loved the bunk beds. Provided all required equipment and towels. We were very comfortable.
We had the most wonderful short break in Safari Tent 1. We couldn’t fault a thing! Everything small detail had been thought about. It was toasty warm, the beds were so comfortable and the shower and toilet were a luxury. The girls loved the hot tub and my husband loved being Bear Grylls and making fire!! The sheep in the field were very entertaining too! The Cow restaurant was delicious and convenient and we very much enjoyed our breakfast and BBQ hampers. We booked to return whilst still on holiday.. it really is that good!
The dome is well equipped and definitely a luxurious glamping option. The site can be windy at times, but we had glorious weather and the views down to the coast were stunning. On a clear night the stars are beautiful too. Travelling with a toddler, we did bring some extra things with us such as a bed guard and potty. Tapnell Farm provided a high chair. I think in winter time I would have been nervous to light the wood stove inside as there is no fire guard. We waited until after toddler bedtime to light the firepit outside. Great that all wood and firelighters was provided and we didn’t ne...more
We really enjoyed the amenities and found Modulog one had the perfect amount of space for a couples retreat. It was perfect for an afternoon indoors while it rained, and picnicking outdoors when it was sunny. The staff was helpful and accommodating. The honesty shed supplied almost all of our needs, having a card machine in the honesty shed would have been helpful. We also enjoyed the farm and the cow and game room.
This is our 5th stay and it gets better every year. Everything is spotlessly clean and Chloe and the team are always on hand should you need anything. This is defiantly my happy place and I can’t imagine a year when we wouldn’t return.
Had the most wonderful time at Tapnell Manor for the half-term with my family of four. The manor was huge which the kids were super excited about , super charming, love our first AGA cooker experience and everything was absolutely lovely. Farm was nice, chicken carer called Barry was super friendly and farm. We loved the whole farm experience and location was amazing!!! Will highly recommend to anyone!!!!
We booked quite last minute due to coronavirus and having 3 holidays abroad cancelled a break was much needed. The booking process was easy and the communication was excellent from the team. A lovely touch was a call a few days before arrival and the text communication to say the tent was ready was great. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and we couldn’t fault the Safari Tent, it was warm and cosy and had everything we needed. We ate twice in the Cow, again the staff were great and the food was good. My only piece of feedback would be to direct everyone to use the main entrance and not ...more
We are very grateful to Tom, Chloe and team for hosting our small and intimate COVID wedding in December, which was arranged at quite short notice. Chloe was very friendly and efficient, offering practical support and advice in response to our queries, especially when face-to-face contact was not possible due to COVID restrictions. Our photographer was able to visit the site ahead of the wedding to "checkout" the venue and was made to feel welcome. Chloe sourced a vintage tea-service to accompany our vintage afternoon tea theme and ensured everything ran smoothly and effortlessly on the act...more
Very last minute booking Super staff from initial call to saying goodbye Location = amazing and safari tents are spot on Great walks / runs / bikes or we just chilled and let the kids explore Tapnell farm The hut for a special occasion lunch / dinner Ferry so simple and easy from mainland (midlands to IoW) 4hr journey HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
We had a lovely stay at the cottage for half term, we even rebooked for a stay next year whilst there. Everthing you need is at the cottage and staff are just a call away if you need anything. Would highly recommend.
Gorgeous views, the outdoor tub is fantastic, the modulog was very clean and tidy when we arrived and felt very cosy. Beautifully decorated for Christmas, perfect for a short getaway.
Great place to stay with the kids as Tapnell Farm has everything to keep them (and us) entertained. The farm has a range of things for kids to do and you pay once to get in and have access for the whole week. The Cow restaurant is the perfect place to sink a beer after a day's activity with the kids. Poachers Perch itself is on the outskirts of the main farm so is a 10 min walk with a young family. It's also close to a busy B road and service road to the farm. Internet very patchy so load up on data if you want to keep the kids amused during the evening witching hour. But it's good value for t...more
We had a great stay at Tom's Eco lodge. Everyone was really helpful with everything and all the arrangements were great. Would highly recommend and will definitely return!
